"I told you Agnes, I feel great." Hayley assured the older witch who sat across from her.

"You are overdue for a checkup." Agnes was stern with her. The young wolf had actually never been for a formal checkup to see how her pregnancy was progressing, aside from Sabine and the other witches just checking in.

Hayley threw Agnes and incredulous look, eyebrow furrowed in confusion. "What am I gonna do? Pop into the Quarter for a quick ultrasound? A pregnant werewolf escorted by a witch—nothing to see here!"

"A lot of women would kill to have a child. It strikes me as odd that you're not taking better care of yours." Rebekah added from her own little corner of the room. She sat with a laptop perched in her lap and she had been hurriedly typing all morning. Her blue eyes caught sight of a groggy Giuliana, who entered the room and she sighed heavily. Her hair was a hot mess, tangled waves hung over her slumped shoulders and her sleepwear was disheveled. "Rise and shine, darling."

"Mmhmm," the ex-hunter rubbed her tired eyes and plopped down beside Hayley.

"What's up with you?" The wolf asked.

"She's been tortured by that little witch Marcel is keeping captive." Rebekah replied. "Davina attacked her the night of the gala and she's been on edge ever since."

"I can still hear you." Giuliana mumbled and Agnes just watched her. Davina's magic was so strong that she could kill with the flick of a wrist, yet Giuliana was still alive, albeit limping around, but alive nonetheless. She swiped a pillow from behind Hayley's back and nestled her head against it. "I haven't slept in five days."

"I can help you." Agnes spoke. "I can try to cleanse any bad energy away from you. I'll only do that if Hayley agrees to go for a checkup.

Giuliana sat up quickly and peered over at Hayley. "Please! Please go to the doctor! The bags under my eyes are depending on you!" The wolf scowled, tucking her legs underneath her. "I'll even go with you! I promise!"

Hayley felt a little more comfortable that someone she trusted would go to the doctor with her and she nodded. "Okay, fine. Bayou-baby-doctor it is."

Agnes smiled at the two girls. "I know a doctor out in the bayou. Off the beaten path. Now, I took the liberty of making an appointment for you. Tonight, after-hours, just us. Vampires will never get word of it." She looked to the sleepy brunette. "You can come with me." The witch led her upstairs and instructed her to lay on the bed. Agnes took Giuliana's hand in hers and pricked her palm, letting just three drops of blood dribble into a bowl with some dried up herbs. The witch then lit the herbs and Giuliana's eyes fell closed as the soothing scent of burning herbs filled her nostrils.

"I know that smell." She murmured and Agnes looked curiously at her. "My mother would burn herbs to bring peace into our home."

"Your mother was a witch?" Agnes wondered as she used a long feather to cast the smoke from the burning herbs around Giuliana's body.

"No, but she was fascinated by special herbs and their healing properties. Weird, right?"

Agnes shook her head even though the girl couldn't see it. "It's not weird. Most magic isn't meant to destroy; it was meant to heal, but it's constantly given a bad name because of witches who can't control their magic."

"Well, this witch that attacked me must have no control whatsoever." Giuliana grumbled.

"What happened during the attack? What did you feel? Describe it to me." She asked.

"Like someone was stabbing my skull with a kitchen knife. It started in my head and it just traveled through my entire body. My nose was bleeding too." The ex-hunter explained and Agnes let the herbs burn in the bowl on the bedside table.

"Well, the spell that she cast on you was so powerful that its like the energy is staying with you. The witch isn't controlling the magic; I don't feel her trying to hurt you." Agnes told her. "I want you to keep inhaling this until it's done. It should calm you down. If it doesn't let me know later when you come to the doctor with Hayley."

"I will. Thank you, Agnes." Giuliana smiled at the older witch and laid her head back on the pillow. The scent from the bowl was bringing her back home to Italy in the eleven hundreds when like was carefree and simple. She missed those days and her family dearly. The warm air, the shining sun, and the sounds of her siblings laughing and playing in the vineyard.

An olive skinned hand reached out to pluck a bunch of grapes from the twisting vines and placed it neatly in a basket with other ripe bunches. The grape harvest was Giuliana's favorite time of year because after the harvest, everyone in the village would gather the grapes to make wine. She and the other women in the village had the very important job of picking the grapes and Giuliana would never admit it, but she did sneak a few grapes while working.

"Do you need assistance, my lady?" She turned and froze seeing Elijah offering her a freshly picked bundle of the fruit. He was dressed in a dark green tunic with slightly longer hair that hung around his shoulders. Her heart beat just a little faster seeing him now. The basket in her hands fell to the floor and she hugged the Original tightly.

"I've missed you." She whispered into his shoulder.

"I know and I am sorry about all of the trouble I have caused you." He told her.

"Am I dreaming?" Giuliana pulled back and tilted her head to the side.

The Original bent down to pick up the basket and place the grapes back in it. "Yes, you must have fallen asleep since I was able to get into your head." Elijah nodded. "Davina has removed the dagger from me and I am getting stronger by the hour. I should be good as new by tonight."

"Where are you? I'm going to find you and bring you home." She implored but he shook his head.

"I need to stay with Davina, Giuliana. I think her magic can be used to help us if shechoosesto side against Marcel." He said and cupped her cheek seeing her frown. "Come with me." He took her hand and led her through the vineyard. She looked oddly at him, but continued to follow him along the grounds. As they rounded a corner the sky suddenly opened up and they were no longer in Italy anymore. The tall trees were now modernized buildings and the grass under their feet was hard pavement. Night loomed overhead, a sprinkling of stars speckling the black. Elijah's hair was short now and his clothing was far from the tunic he had worn. He was in a crisp suit and he adjusted his bow tie. Giuliana looked down at her own clothes to see that she was in the same gown that Rebekah had tried to squeeze her into for the gala. It fit her like a glove and the Original gave an approving smile.

"Now I know that I'm really dreaming because being in this dress doesn't hurt." She joked and Elijah smiled at her. "Where are we now?"

"New Orleans some time after my family settled here. I would often take Rebekah to the Opera." He mentioned and walked arm in arm with her down the quiet street.

"It sounds lovely." She murmured and eyed the buildings. New Orleans was truly a city of wonder and beauty.

"I wished that I could have taken you." Elijah said.

"Maybe when you come back." She shrugged and noticed that they had stopped walking. Elijah turned to face her and he grasped her hands.

"Perhaps when this war is over." His fingers cradled her small hands and she glanced at how nicely they fit together. His pensive gaze made her worry and she slightly felt his grip on her hands tighten. "Giuliana, I need you to promise me something."

"Anything." Her green eyes met his oak brown ones.

"I want you to protect Hayley. She is a part of my family now and since I cannot because of my condition, I need people that I can trust to watch over her." Elijah's thumb caressed her hands and she nodded.

"Of course I'll protect her." She said with a reassuring smile, but it faded knowing that this was only a dream. "I miss not having you here."

His lips leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I will be back soon. I promise."

She shied away from him, remembering her hurt when she found out that he had left her in Italy. He did come back, but her heart had been broken by then. "Don't make promises that you can't keep, Elijah."

He stared down at her, a frown pulling at his handsome lips. He hated seeing her upset like this and he wanted her to trust him again. "Giuliana, please listen to me when I say that I am sorry for the hurt I have caused you in the past. I never want you to feel like you cannot trust me."

Her green eyes softened and she nodded slowly, wanting to trust him. "Just hurry back;I don't like you being a pawn that Marcel can use."

"I will be back soon." He leaned forward and kissed the corner of her mouth. Her lips trembled and he could hear her take in the slightest gasp. Pulling back, he peered down at her and her eyes were fixated on his lips. Elijah's hand cupped the base of her neck and he brought her face close to his. Giuliana's eyes fell closed and she felt his breath caressing her lips.

"Wakey, wakey, darling."

The ex-hunter groaned at Klaus' nagging ability to interrupt at the most inopportune times and slowly sat up in bed. She felt a lot better, her body felt cleansed of Davina's magic and she was completely renewed.

"Have a nice nap?" He smirked from his spot at the edge of her bed.

"I actually did. Thanks for asking." She stretched her arms over her head and yawned. He traipsed to her closet and skimmed his eyes over the hangers.

"Good." He grabbed some clothes and tossed them on the bed. "Get dressed. You're going to the Dauphine Street Music Festival."

Giuliana caught the clothes and scrunched up her nose. She pushed them aside and went to her closet to pick out her own clothes. "And why do I have to go the festival?"

"Marcel will be bringing his little friend Davina and I need him distracted." Klaus explained.

"Of course." She sighed and pulled a short royal blue dress. "But if Davina was the one who witchy-wooed me at the gala, I don't think that it's a good idea that I'm going to be around her."

"I have that all taken care of." He replied and watched her scrutinize the dress in her hands. "Joshua will be watching you tonight."

"So, I'm supposed to feel safe with one of your newly turned vampire lackey following me around?" She wondered and dug around for a pair of black pumps.

"I will have you know that Joshua is very capable of following directions." He said.

"Especially when he is compelled to do whatever his master wishes," she muttered sarcastically and placed her dress and shoes on the bed. "Now get out. I have to change."

Klaus simply crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. He didn't say a word, but the look of mischief in his eyes said it all. With a drawn out sigh, Giuliana shrugged and pulled her shirt over her head, throwing it to the floor. The Original hybrid's smirk was wiped clean off his face, not expecting that kind of reaction from her, but he wasn't exactly complaining that she was stripping for him. Next came her pants and they joined her shirt on the floor. She stood in a matching set of black lingerie and she slid her heels on first.

"What?" She raised an eyebrow at him. "You wouldn't leave and I am not one to keep the "King of the Quarter" waiting." She did a fake curtsey, clearing mocking Marcel.

"Hayley is rubbing off on you." He noted when he got his voice back again.

"Is that so?" She slowly sauntered to him. Her body moved lithely, her olive skin shifting over her muscles.

Klaus nodded. "The girl I met in the eleven hundreds would never have been so...bold."

"Then perhaps you don't know me that well at all, Klaus." She smirked and toyed with the strap of her bra. "You obviously seem to think that we are so much alike." Their conversation from the night of the ball still haunted her because in some sick and twisted way, she knew that she was a lot more like him than she wanted to admit.

"We would both do anything when it comes to family. You know that and I know that." He spoke. "The sooner you recognize that we are similar, the better it will be for you."

"But you've always known that I'm stubborn. You'll be waiting a long time." Giuliana countered.

"I look forward to the wait, especially if you'll be dressed in nothing." He grinned widely.

Her expression matched his lustful one and she bit her bottom lip, grinding it between her pearly white teeth. She placed her hands on his chest, her fingers feeling the hard muscle beneath his shirt. "And will you be present tonight?"

"You shouldn't worry about where I will be," he said.

"But I just can't help myself from watching you get jealous whenever Marcel tries his hardest to impress me. It's very entertaining to watch." His hand wrapped firmly around her throat and her back was pressed against the wall. "Hmm, touchy subject."

"When you watch your protégé take everything from you and call it his, you tend to get a little touchy." He growled and squeezed her neck just so, a show of dominance and power over her.

"You're forgetting one thing, Klaus." She breathed and thrust her hand at his stomach. Klaus doubled over, a low roar leaving his lip and he looked down to see a white oak dagger clutched in her fist. "I was never yours to take." Hayley had given them to Rebekah for safe keeping and Giuliana had managed to swipe one for protection in case either Original tried to go at her. His skin flushed a sickly grey before returning back to his normal complexion and Giuliana removed the dagger. She shoved his weak form to the floor and walked back to her bed, leaving an angry Klaus to wonder where she could have hidden the dagger on her person.

Jazz music and hard liquor filled the night air at the Dauphine Music Festival. People danced in the streets while others had found their own havens in bars and cafes to listen to the music. A band was up on a small stage at Rousseau's and the crowd was really getting into them. The bar was packed wall to wall with patrons and Giuliana downed yet another shot, asking the bartender for another with a nod of her head. She had told Klaus that she couldn't stay long at the festival because she had promised Hayley that she would go to the doctor with her for her checkup. Since Agnes was taking Hayley after-hours, Giuliana had some time to kill before heading to the clinic.

The bartender passed her another shot and she tossed it back with no qualms. "Damn, little lady. You should be on the floor right now."

"It's a gift." The brunette shrugged. "Is Cami here tonight?"

"Yeah, lemme grab her for you." He said and went off to find her blonde friend.

"I didn't expect to see you here." Marcel slid into a spot next to her at the bar. "Where have you been? I've been worried about you."

"What for?" She asked.

"The night of the gala you were damn near bleeding out." He said.

"Oh...that; well—"

"Look it doesn't matter what happened. Just know that I've taken care of it and it won't happen again." He told her with sincere eyes.

"Was it a witch?" Giuliana questioned.

Marcel's posture stiffened and he swallowed. "It was a friend of mine. She gets a little protective over me."

"Protective? Where I come from, cutting a bitch because she is talking to a man is called jealousy." She scoffed.

"I know and she knows that you don't mean me any harm." He stressed and looked over at his shoulder to keep an eye on Davina who was intently watching a young man up on stage playing his violin.

"Is that her?" Giuliana asked and Marcel nodded.

"She's a little bit like a loose cannon, but she's still my friend."

"Normally I'd be kinda mad that you're defending her, but right now I'm so drunk that I think it's actually kinda sweet." She slurred and leaned up against the bar.

"Champagne getting to your head again?" The vampire joked.

"No, actually it's a Mr. Jack Daniels that's getting to my head." She grinned.

"Can I buy you another?" He wondered and she nodded. A few drinks later, Marcel and Giuliana were dancing along to the upbeat music playing from the band. She hadn't seen Klaus anywhere, but she did see Joshua floating around the bar. He was rubbing elbows with Marcel's night walkers as per Klaus's compulsion. Davina and Cami had been talking and giggling with one another about Timothy, the young man who was playing the violin. Giuliana twirled herself back into Marcel and he caught her from nearly falling over. She held his shoulders for support and his hands were placed firmly on her hips.

"Woah, haven't danced like that since..." She broke out into a fit of drunken giggles.

"You are sloshed." Marcel chuckled.

"Guilty!" Giuliana exclaimed giddily.

"You're fessing up? Just like that?" The vampire grinned. "You know, I studied law back in the 50's."

"Oh really? And, what would my punishment be?" She raised an eyebrow.

"You're in luck tonight because I'm in a good mood tonight." He pulled her closer. "I'd actually like to offer you something better than a punishment."

"Another drink?" She guessed and he shook his head.

"Nah, listen, I know that you're chummy with Klaus and the Originals, but I want-" Giuliana's phone buzzed and they both looked down as she grabbed it.

Bayou clinic with doctor. Her eyes scanned the text and she wanted to kick herself for almost forgetting Hayley's appointment. Hopefully if she hurried, she'd be able to get there soon.

"Marcel, I'm sorry, but I have to go." She stepped away from him, but he caught her arm.

"Going off to meet Klaus?" His question caught her off guard and she stared silently back at him.

"No," she shook her head and tried to pull her arm back, but he kept a firm grip on her. "Let go of me."

"Don't play dumb with me. I see how he gets when I'm with you. Meanwhile he told me that he had no interest in you and that you're a friend of Elijah's." His eyes then darkened with the realization that Giuliana could very well just be a distraction for him. "Is that what this is about? Elijah?"

"Well, you're keeping him from his family." She hissed lowly.

"Because Klaus just gave him to me." He wrenched her in his hold.

"Just let me go, Marcel." She demanded and Marcel held her stare for a few long moments as if contemplating letting her go or not. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Joshua close by and some patrons in the bar were eyeing them curiously. Giuliana then felt a slithering sensation up the arm that was in Marcel's grasp and she watched as her tattoo was becoming etched on her skin. Marcel's dark eyes followed the intricate shapes and patterns, a furrowed brow raised and he yanked her closer.

"I said, let go." Giuliana repeated, this time, tugging her arm back and she rushed away from the vampire, into the crowds of people. She pushed past them, knocking into other people's shoulders, but she finally reached the bar. Grabbing her purse and jacket, she rushed out of the bar and all the while, Marcel's eyes were trained on her like a hunter would trail prey. He whistled Joshua over and he leaned into him.

"Follow her. I want no mistakes or any harm done to her. You understand?"

"You got it." Joshua nodded and followed the same path that Giuliana had taken. By the time he got outside, she was long gone, but he'd have to find some way to-

"What happened?" Klaus's gruff voice hit his ears and the newly turned vampire trembled in his boots.

"Giuliana had black marks on her arms and Marcel saw them. He asked me to follow her." He reported thoroughly and the Original hybrid nodded, slowly, calculatingly. He flashed before Joshua and held his gaze, compelling him.

"You will tell Marcel that you followed her." He commanded before staking Joshua in the stomach. The young vampire groaned and groped for the stake, trying to yank it out of himself. "And when you pursued her, she stabbed you and ran off."

"She stabbed me and ran off." He repeated and in the blink of an eye, Klaus had vanished, leaving Joshua to wriggle a stake from his gut.

"I am going to make her buy me a new pair of shoes after this..." The brunette grumbled as she trudged through the woods leading up to the bayou. Her heels dug into the wet earth and she sunk into the ground. She cursed herself for her choice of shoe ware, but a light from the clinic renewed her hope that she could hitch a ride back home with Hayley and Agnes. To her surprise, the car that had been parked outside was gone and her eyes followed the car tracks away from the clinic. Had she gotten there too late? The lights were still on inside and she opened up the door.

"Hayl?" She tiptoed into the clinic and past the empty waiting room. Her green eyes scanned everything in sight and she walked into the adjoining doctor's office to see some medical tools littering the floor and some blood spatters on the wall. "Oh crap..." She whipped her phone from her pocket and dialed Hayley's number, but the sound of approaching footsteps made her freeze. They were coming from the side door of the clinic and the ex-hunter searched around for a place to hide. She ducked behind the examination table and backed into it. Her leg touched something cold and she looked cautiously over her shoulder to be met with the body of the doctor on the floor. Eyeing her neck, Giuliana could see a syringe sticking out of it and her stomach curdled further. Male voices were attached to the footsteps and she had to act quickly. She yanked the syringe from the doctor's throat, arming herself with it. Beside the examination table were a few drawers and she rifled through them as quietly as she could. The side door clicked open and the ex-hunter held her breath, hoping that the intruders weren't vampires because they would sense her in seconds. She waited and listened carefully, gripping the syringe in one hand and a scalpel in the other. She could make out two distinct voices and she heard them muttering about losing the wolf. Giuliana sighed quietly, so Hayley was alive for the most part, but she could have been injured. Elijah's promise rang in her head and she knew that she had to uphold it to him. The men wandered through the office and from what Giuliana could hear, the front door where she came in from opened and closed. She slumped against the table, thanking whatever powers that were out there that the men didn't notice her, but she was still cautious. She peeked around the table to get a better view of her bearings, but was met with the whooshing sound of an arrow whizzing past her. The tip nicked her cheek as she pulled herself back to safety behind the table and she heard him call out to whoever was outside. Looking to her left, the side door was just a few feet away and she could reach it if she made a break for it, but the man with the crossbow could easily kill her in one shot. Going back in the drawer again, she looked for anything of use to distract or wound her attackers from a far distance, but there wasn't much to be desired. Instead, she eyed her dirt encrusted shoes and slipped them off. Another arrow flew past her right side, burying itself into a chest of drawers and Giuliana was running out of time.

"Come on out now!" The man bellowed and reloaded his crossbow with another arrow. He waited for the slightest movement and he saw shot once he saw the girl's shoulder emerge from behind the table. It hit her and he rushed to take her down. Approaching the body, he saw his arrow sticking out of the doctor that Hayley had injected earlier. He raised an eyebrow, seeing that the other girl was gone, but his wonderment stopped when a sharp pain ripped into his shoulder. Giuliana stepped away from him, seeing the scalpel was stabbed into his back and she made a run for the door. Four other men entered from the front and Giuliana could hear them quickly shuffling through the clinic and following her out the side door and into the woods. She ran a lot faster without her shoes, but the wet ground beneath her could easily trip her up if she wasn't careful. More arrows were being fired at her, just missing and she pushed herself to run faster. One crushing blow made her stumble as an arrow caught her shoulder, but she kept running with the offending piece of wood in her back. Blood pounded hurriedly in her ears and she happened to miss one step. Her body flew through the air and time slowed for just a few seconds before she hit the ground. Her skin skidded along the mossy earth, splitting and ripping along her arms and legs as she finally came to a stop face first. Fresh cuts bled freely and dirt stuck onto her skin. Groaning, she leaned up and heard the approaching footsteps, but it was drowned out by the sound of growling right in front of her. Frantic green eyes stared down the long snout of the very same wolf that Hayley had spoken to just a few nights ago. Saliva dripped from its sharp teeth and its breath could be seen mixing with the cold air. She was stuck between the jaws of the wolf and the men behind her, not really sure about which one was the worst evil. The wolf pulled back on his hind legs, ready to pounce and Giuliana screwed her eyes shut, readying herself for the intense pain of the wolf's jaw clamping around her head, but the pain never came. Agonizing screams from the men behind her made her turn to see that the wolf was attacking them and not her. Scrambling to her feet, she darted off, muttering a silent thanks to her wolf savior and rushed through the woods in hopes of finding Hayley. Her shoulder throbbed and she soon sunk to her knees, crying out in pain and she tried to pull the arrow out of her back.

"Giuliana?" A meek voice came from a few feet away and Giuliana crawled to see Hayley propped up against a tree. Like the ex-hunter, her clothes were tattered and dirty, but her skin was devoid of any wounds. "Jesus Christ, what happened to you?"

"It's obvious. What does it look like?" Giuliana swallowed and bit back the pain as she wretched the arrow free from its place among her muscles and tendons. Hissing and growling, she threw the offending piece of wood aside and checked over the wolf. "Are you hurt?"

"Some cuts and bruises, but I'm fine." Hayley shrugged and helped the other girl to her feet. "You came for me."

"Of course I did. You're my friend and...and I made a promise to Elijah." She let the wolf prop her arm over her shoulder and she leaned against Hayley's body.

"Elijah?"

"He made me dream of him." She whispered weakly.

Hayley looked questioningly at her, but the feel of warm blood pouring from Giuliana's back made her push aside her questions. "Come on; let's get back to the clinic. We can call Klaus from there."

The Original hybrid's ears perked up at the distant waning sound of howls in the night as he approached the outside of the clinic that Rebekah had just exited. She had called Klaus to inform him that something went wrong with Hayley since she received a frantic call from the wolf. But it looked like she had gotten there too late. She had scouted the woods and found the mangled and bloody bodies of men, their limbs strewn all along the forest floor.

"Wow! You abandoned your quest for power to help out your family! Having an off day?" Rebekah muttered sarcastically as she slammed the clinic door behind her.

Klaus gave a calm roll of his eyes. "Who took her, Rebekah?"

"I don't know." She told him.

"What do you mean, you don't know?" Klaus hissed. "And who killed her attackers?"

"I don't know!" She growled at her brother. "If it wasn't Hayley who killed them, then–" More loud howls penetrated the night, not exactly giving the siblings much hope. "Lovely. Maybe her cousins will know where she is."

A rustling in the brush a few feet off made their shoulders tense and they whipped around to fight potential attackers, but instead saw Hayley and Giuliana emerge from deep within the woods. They looked like they had been through hell and back, clothes dirty and tattered and blood spattered their skin.

"Hayley, Giuliana." Klaus and Rebekah leapt up from their spots and Rebekah eased Hayley to sit down while the other girl placed a hand on Klaus's shoulder to steady herself.

"I'm...I'm fine." Giuliana gurgled, pressing a hand to her aching side. "I went to meet Hayley here and I found the doctor dead. Some guys came in and it was world war three. I was able to escape into the woods where I was chased and shot down like wild game."

"Same for me." Hayley noted.

"But, your wounds. They are completely healed." Rebekah checked out Hayley's wounds, seeing that they had healed much quicker than a normal werewolf would.

"One of the perks of being a werewolf, remember?" Hayley droned tiredly.

"No, not that fast." Klaus shook his head.

"It's the baby. The vampire blood; Klaus' vampire blood, in your system, it can heal any wound." Rebekah speculated and Klaus looked over the wolf. "Your own child healed you."

"Imagine that." Giuliana stepped away from Klaus to stand on her own, not wanting to depend on him.

"How did you two escape? Outnumbered, unarmed? Those men were ripped to shreds!" Rebekah asked.

"I think it was the wolf. I think it's trying to protect me." Hayley murmured.

"The witches were supposed to protect you! When I get my hands on Sophie Deveraux–" Klaus glowered.

"It wasn't Sophie–" Rebekah told him.

"It was Agnes." Hayley said.

"Fine! Agnes, Sophie, it's all the same to me! I'll slaughter the lot of them!" The hybrid clenched his fists.

"Hey," the wolf piped up meekly. "So...can we go home now? I'd really like to sleep for a few days."

"Seriously." Giuliana agreed and she took a few steps to start walking to Klaus's car, but she stumbled. She plummeted towards the ground, but Klaus was quick to catch her and pick her up.

"Woah, I've got you, love. I've got you." He cooed to her and she swatted at him.

"I told you, I'm fine. Just put me down." She jostled around in his hold, but he kept a firm grip on her.

"You can hardly walk. I'm doing you a favor."

"Shut up." Hayley and Rebekah followed suit, climbing into the car and Klaus drove them back home.

Davina's head turned at the sound of Marcel entering her attic room. She smiled warmly at him while her fingers trailed over the shattered pieces of Tim's violin. She'd always had a crush on him and tonight she was finally able to talk to him, he even played for her on his violin. Klaus had showed up at the church, offering her a deal, in exchange for Tim's life which had been hanging on by a thread after Klaus had thrown him off the church balcony, Davina had to take sides with Klaus. She had a choice to make, betray the one man who had shown her kindness when her world unraveled? Or save Tim's life and swear to help Klaus in his war against Marcel? Unfortunately, Klaus had healed Tim with all intentions of making Davina choose, but he quickly vanished hearing Marcel approaching.

"Anything on how to kill him yet?" Marcel's question broke her from the memories that kept replaying over and over and the young witch shook her head.

"No, I'm still working." She said and Marcel lifted the lid up on Elijah's coffin. He remained asleep, minus the dagger in his chest and the vampire's ears perked at the sound of a phone ringing. Marcel dug his hand into the inside pocket of Elijah's suit jacket and fished out his cell phone. He checked the caller ID, not recognizing it and he let it go to voice mail. He played it back and put the phone to his ear, a cheery voice sounded off.

"Hi, Elijah. It's Cassandra. I wanted to call you about the baby. It's a good thing though, so don't be alarmed. Call me back when you get this." Marcel clicked off the phone and put it on one of Davina's desks.

"Hmm, a baby? And I don't know who this Cassandra is." He tapped his fingers on the edge of the coffin, as if pondering his next move. "If that phone rings, don't answer it? I wanna see if this Cassandra person is another threat that's going to come here." Davina simply nodded, keeping quiet and she continued to train her eyes on the smashed instrument. Marcel said something else, something about going to meet some night walkers for a bite and she gave him some sort of reply, but when the door opened and closed again she was alone once more. She frowned and turned away from the violin, unable to look at it anymore without wanting to cry and she waved a hand through the air. The wind chimes moved on their own, playing the same tune Tim played on his violin. It brought her a strange sense of comfort and if she closed her eyes, she could see Tim playing just for her. A creaking floorboard made her open her eyes and halt the chimes. It creaked again, even louder this time and she stood from her seat. She scanned the room for anything that would alert her and she found it.

Elijah's coffin was empty.

"It's all right, Davina." The witch whirled around to see the Original standing behind her. His skin was still grey from not feeding, but it was slowly lightening up with each passing second. She was surprisingly calm in his presence; she didn't feel threatened by him even though she knew that he could snap her spine without breaking a sweat. "I don't mean you any harm, though I do think it's time we had a talk." He added and the two shared small smiles, an understanding that was kept just between the two of them.

Agnes chanted in a low voice over a bowl of herbs in her home. She had heard about the witches failing in killing Hayley and Giuliana and she was livid. She asked them to do one simple thing, eliminate two girls and get it done quickly. Now, their bodies were strewn all over the forest, their limbs were mangled and bloody. She hadn't expected the girls to fight back and win, but now she had to deal with dead witches on her hands. The herbs burned to cleanse the room and she took a syringe filled with a clear liquid. She took another bowl, the one that held Giuliana's blood in it, and she dribbled a few drops from the syringe into it. The mixture sizzled and the clear liquid disappeared into the mess of blood. She knew that something was different about Giuliana's blood when she had been at the Mikaelson mansion and she received confirmation for it when she looked through her mind. She had seen that she was a hunter of vampires, the Hunter's mark had been burned into her mind, but she also saw that her blood had strange effects on vampires. She could control if and when her blood released a nearly lethal toxin and that was something very interesting. Inside the syringe held a concoction that if injected into the bloodstream, it would kill a baby in utero. Agnes had all plans to inject it into Hayley, but the young wolf was too smart for that. So, she had to take matters into her own hands. By mixing the blood and toxin, she was able to tell that Giuliana's blood counteracted the effect of the toxin. In other words, if Hayley was to drink Giuliana's blood after the toxin was injected into her, it would heal her. She just couldn't have that; not for the plan she had cooked up. She had failed once before and she swore that she wouldn't fail again.

And the plot thickens...please review and let me know what you'd like to see next ;)

xoxobianca13: Thanks for reviewing, girl! I wish I was writing for the show! Someone call Julie Plec! LOL! I do enjoy expanding on the relationships between Cassandra and the other characters in the show. It's just fascinating to me :) I also feel like Cassandra is a very mothering kind of person even before she was pregnant. Hope that you enjoyed this update!

Shining Ruby: Thank you for reviewing! Writing it had me in tears! I am excited that Cass and Damon will be having a girl and I am already looking up names. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them :)

Seira asami: Thank you for leaving a review! The parts with Bonnie were very sad to write, but I'm glad that you enjoyed them. I am also happy that Cass and Damon will have a girl. Can't wait till they have her! And, yes, I am so, so happy to see Elijah back in his sexy suits ;)

MissWhatEver207: Thanks for reviewing! I like girls too, but I do have a soft spot for boys as well! I could see Damon roughhousing with a little boy! *squeals* But I don't doubt that they will be great parents. I am going into teaching, so I totally understand what you mean by kids being little monsters, hehe!

SomebodyWhoCares: Thank you for your review! Hehe, Damon can never have just one cupcake ;)

shippolove844: Thanks for reviewing! I am happy that they are having a girl too! Damon would beat up all of her boyfriends, LOL! I do miss having Bonnie around and I feel she is constantly suffering on the show. I wish the writers wouldn't do that. Now Stefan, on the other hand, is a royal pain in the bum! I do enjoy his sass at times ;)

grapejuice101: *hands you tissues* Sorry I made you cry, girl! Thanks for reviewing! Yeah, a little girl for the happy parents :)

Karly: Thank you for reviewing! Yeah, Cass's hormones will drive her crazy :( I am finding a lot of mixed opinions about Damon and Cassandra having a boy or a girl, but Damon's reaction seems to win them over. I'm glad that you liked his reaction to the news. Yes ma'am, they finally got their sexy time...twice ;) Hope you enjoyed this update!

nickiR0x: I am happy! I like to engage reactions from my readers even if it includes destroying feels. I'm not a fan of Bonnie/Elena either, but I'm happy that you enjoyed my spin on the episode. It's kind of weird how long I think about my stories being around and I'm just like...woah. I think Damon will go absolutely gaga over a little girl and I want to show that side to readers. Ah, yes! That moment with Stefan will happen, so please be patient :) Hope you enjoyed this chapter!

disturbingbehavior: Happy 130 reviews! Woo hoo! You're awesome, girl! Not sure what they will name the baby, but if you have suggestions, I will gladly take them. Giuliana and Marcel will have their little moments here and there. He just can't seem to stay away from her ;) Thanks again for reviewing, girl :)
