Rose's life had been defined by routines since she had been a kid. St Vlad's had a strict routine, and though she, rebel at heart, had done her best to find loopholes and disrupt it, there was no denying that her class schedules had defined her everyday life.

On the run, it was slightly different, she had a bit more time to indulge in hobbies here and there, but there again, her life was oriented around shadowing and protecting Lissa. And keeping themselves from getting caught. They had fun, tons of it, but Rose was bound by her duty. Lissa came first.

Coming to Court, Rose didn't have enough time to settle into a habit before she had to go to college, and there again, her schedule revolved around Lissa's movements. Vacations and holidays were fun, and she made the best of it, travelling and cozying up to Dimitri, but they did not spend enough time to develop a routine. There was a lot of sharing and borrowing when they spent time together, of toothbrushes, and shirts and even combs, and though adorable, it wasn't a routine.

Only after she and Lissa had moved to Court after graduating–finally–and Rose settled into an apartment with Dimitri (which Dimitri and Christian and Mia had finalized after house-hunting for around a year), did she begin to make her own routines, with the love of her life.

They had guardian duty, of course, and raids, and defense trainings, and other obligations, but even around that, they built a life and a home together.
They had laundry-Wednesdays, when Rose would wander around the house in nothing more than one of Dimitri's flannels and a pair of mismatched socks; and pizza-days, when both of them would be so tired from duty, that they'd order in instead of cooking. And of course, there was the weekly Tuesday night dinner with Lissa and Christian, and amonthly get-together dinner at their apartment, for whoever of their group of friends happened to be in or around Court.

But it was the little routines she built up with Dimitri that Rose was most fond of. They'd cook together…well, he'd cook while she'd be chopping veggies, or sitting on their kitchen counter and ogling him. There was their nightly routine, when she'd watch TV after dinner, and Dimitri would peruse a file or a book, while absentmindedly brushing a hand through her silken tresses.

They had fights, and they also had little customs they used to make up to one another, usually involving coffee or doughnuts, a heartfelt conversation and a thorough makeout session.

But it was their morning routine that was Rose's personal favorite. As Dimitri usually woke up before Rose, he'd start the coffee before waking up her with butterfly kisses. They'd get ready together, working around one another – Rose would button up his shirt, and Dimitri would fix her shoelaces; as she put on her make up in front of the bathroom mirror, Dimitri would reach across her for his ponytail holder, often placing a kiss on her forehead, before disappearing after teasingly tugging at her braid. He'd make the toast, and she'd smother them in butter, and they'd both sit together, in relative quiet, eating and sipping their coffee. At the door, Dimitri would fix the lapels of Rose's Royal Guard uniform, and she'd help him into his duster, and they'd walk together, hand in hand, till they had to part their ways, which they did after a declaration of love and a chaste kiss.

As Rose would walk towards Liss' quarters or office, she'd smile to herself. She had had many routines in her life, but the ones she was forming with Dimitri were the best kind. She was free to love and be with who she wanted, and she'd be damned if she didn't make the most of it.

As many of you were asking for a Romitri piece, hope this suffices :)
