There was smoke and dust everywhere, and this blinded Finn. But he did know he was on his back looking at the sky, and for the moment he was disoriented. The attack created an explosion and made Finn fall down to the princess' room, with him landing on the once perfect floor that is not littered with debris from the roof, snow, and books. Before he could take in his surroundings, Finn got up to his feet slowly and began to study the room to see how damaged the rest of the building was. He noticed that he could see straight through the wall of the room where the bed was supposed to be, Finn walked to the edged and looked up and down to see that the whole southern corner of the castle, from the bedroom up, was completely evaporated. Finn had a face of amazement, for he did not think he could do something that massive, and he saw a break in the clouds beginning to clear up the sky and end the storm. He turned around to see that the dust has finally cleared and what he saw stunned him with disappointment and anger. The Ice King was still alive, albeit unconscious. Finn began to slowly walk up to him with a cold and emotionless stare. He scanned the room for his sword and found it at the other end of the room. He slowly walked to grab his sword to finish off the Ice King and ending this crazy episode. He grabbed his sword and proceeded to walk to the Ice King dragging the blade on the ground. He only had one thought on his mind, not saving lives, or preventing more evil outbreaks like this, simply killing Ice King. When he stopped in front of the unconscious king, he simply stared at him breathing in slowly, as if he wanted to savor this moment. Finn brought up his sword for one final strike to end this whole nightmare, to make the Ice King pay for what he has done to his family, to Snow, and to all the innocent lives he put in danger.
"Goodbye." Finn said under his breath as he brought down the sword only to have the blade incased in ice forcing it to stop. Finn's eyes widen with surprise as he knew Ice King was not even awake, let alone strong enough to stop Finn form killing him. He turned around to see Snow panting with her hair in her face and one of her hands out.
"Finn," Snow said with a slight pause while panting, "stop this, please." Finn simply looked at her as if she was just a part of his imagination.
"You can't stop me Snow. I am going to kill the Ice King." Snow looked at him with disbelief. "Please" Snow said almost coming to tears, "don't kill him Finn, you know he is all I have, he is the only family I have. He is the only family I might ever have, don't take him away from me." Finn immediately grew face filled with disdain and with hatred. "He killed my only family!" Finn spat with utter anger, "I can never see my brother again, or Lady! What am I going to tell his kids!? That some crazy old man killed their parents, and I did nothing to stop him!? Finn began to cry at what he said. "Tell me Snow, how would you tell your nieces and nephews that you let their parents die? Tell me that what I'm doing is wrong, and mean it" Finn paused, "because you know I need to kill him, you know he needs to die to prevent this from happening again" Finn fell silent but his body was still rigid, ready to pierce the Ice King when he had the chance. "I'm sorry Finn I can't let you kill him" Snow reached out with her hand, closing it, shattering the frozen blade in Finn's hand. Finn's hands them are freed from the ice, and all that remains of his Ethereal Darkness is simply the hilt, the fragments of the blade would never be able to be re-forged. Finn throw the hilt to the side grabbing the hilt of the sword on his back.
"Snow," Finn said with a slight pause, "I will kill him." Finn drew Dyrnwyn out of its hilt but as Snow was getting ready to freeze the second sword, a golden flame erupted from the blade creating a divine light. Both Finn and Snow were captivated by the sight and even forgot why they were there to begin with. Finn quickly snapped to his senses and readied the attack.
"Let's end this." Before Finn could bring down the sword he fell to his knees and dropped the sword.
"What is this!?' He said with small pauses due to great pain. Finn began to clench his heart and he keeled over yelling out of pain.
"Finn" before Snow could finish the sentence, the golden flames that surrounded the room turned into a mixture of black and green and was sucked into Finn's body.
"AAAARRRRRGGHHHH!" Finn was in immense pain and he started going crazy and rolling on the floor. It wasn't long before a large shockwave was released from his body. Snow was pushed back and almost fell out of the opening in the castle, and now she gained a new problem, Finn. She ran up to Finn to see what happened, as he stopped screaming and thrashing she looked in his eyes and jumped back. The whites of his eyes turned ash black with his pupil turning light green and his iris turning dark green. His body began to heat up and suddenly it combusted in an ominous green flame, leaving his whole body charred. Snow went back to his side and tried to cradle him and wake him up saying "Please Finn, wake up! I didn't mean for this to happen I'm sorry, please wake up! Don't be dead!" Snow could not had believed what was happening, just a few hours ago she had met Finn and had this odd natural connection with him, she was having fun with him even with her father going crazy. She did not want the fun they were having to end, but it seemed as if that was the least of her worries. Because she left the Ice Kingdom, the Candy Kingdom is completely frozen and the castle demolished, people died, and now Finn was gone, the one person Snow thought would never die, died in front of her. Snow continued to cry and sob yelling Finn's name, as if it might bring him back from the dead. She felt a hand push her to the side without her even noticing, it was her father, barely alive.
"Stay right there princess, allow me to kill this monster." said the Ice King as he wheezed through his words from his internal damage. Snow knew that her father would definitely kill Finn, if she did nothing to stop him, she still had hope that Finn could still be save. "Dad" snow yelled nervously, "he is already dead dad, just leave him be." The Ice King stopped and simply stared at Finn's lifeless body as he wheezed and grabbed on to his sides. "But Snow, he is a bad person, he needs to pay" before Ice King can continue, Snow interrupted saying "Dad, let's just go home, please? I'm tired and I just want to go home and play with Gunther and you." Snow said with a nervous smile; she was in a cold sweat, literally, and she needed the Ice King to just take her home and leave Finn alone. "Okay, Snow, just for you lets go home, but I am kind of weak" he said with a brief creepy laugh, "can you help your father back home?" Snow got back up and walked to the Ice King, hugging him. "Of course father, anything for you" she said while biting her tongue. Snow was regretting ever leaving her chasm in the Ice Kingdom, if she never did then Finn would still be living right now. She regrets that this whole dangerous and almost insane situation occurred because she wanted to indulge in her desires and see the world outside the snowcapped Ice Kingdom.
Snow let go of her father and looked at Finn thinking of what to do next, what to do that might give Finn some chance of survival. "Father," Snow said with the Ice King looking up to her, "please give me a moment I want to check something on the roof, please just stay here" the Ice King simply nodded, falling asleep as his body and his mind was broken. She proceeded to go to the opening at the side of the room which revealed a calm city covered in snow. The clouds had disappeared and the storm is done with, the only thing that will needs to be taken care of are the two bodies Snow noticed earlier, the bodies of Finn's family. Snow flew to the top of the roof to see a sobbing Princess Bubblegum cradling the body of a long colorful being incased in ice. As she tried to get close to the princess and tell her about Finn, Princess Bubblegum stood up with tears still flowing down her face as she was staring at the ground.
"Do you see now what your father is capable of? Why did you ever leave your damn chasm…" Snow grew a face of astonishment and then regret. She fell silent and just stared at her feet, knowing that this all happened because of her selfishness, and she didn't notice that Princess Bubblegum had walked up to her, looking down at Snow with eyes of a person who just lost their soul. "Two people were brutally murdered today…they were both my friends" Bubblegum paused, "I can't guarantee the life of your father. My police force will hunt him down and the Royalty of the other kingdoms will gladly assist in this manhunt. Fix this snow now, 'Princess Snowflake', and leave and make sure your father is hidden real well, for he will face a punishment worse than Jake and Lady." Snow was frozen with fear, she felt pure killing intent from Princess Bubblegum. Snow was frozen, she felt like she was a rabbit and Princess Bubblegum was a wolf, Snow was the prey and she is at death's door.
"Princess" Snow gulped as she tried to get the words out, "I will leave as soon as possible, but I need to tell you something. Finn used his sword and he burned himself. He needs some medical attention, I think he might be dead" the moment Snow said the word "dead" Princess Bubblegum grabbed her by the collar of her clothes, and threw her to the ground. Princess Bubblegum then dropped on Snow's arms to keep her in place and punched Snow. This caught her off guard and did not know how to react, with the fear and shock of this event, and just took the hit. Princess Bubblegum didn't stop at one punch, as she continued she started to yell at the top of her lunges and tears started to come down her face. Snow didn't have it in her to use her powers to stop her, she felt numb, she felt scared, and she felt regret. She wanted to be with Finn more, but now he is dead. Princess Bubblegum finally finished leaving Snow's face badly beat, with cuts on her lips and eyebrows, a bloody nose, and a black eye.
"Why do you take away the people I love?!" Princess Bubblegum began to break down and busted out crying simply softly banging on Snow's chest. Snow finally decided enough was enough, she needed to go and Finn needed help. "Go now, Princess, Finn needs you. I am sorry for everything, and I don't blame you and I will expect a manhunt. But for now it's only important that you help Finn" Snow stopped as if expecting another onslaught of punches, "He is badly burnt, it has something to do with that weird red sword he had." Princess Bubblegum slowly got off of Snow and went back to the frozen body of Lady Rainicorn, cradling it in her arms. Snow got up and decided to walk back to the opening to the room where she left the Ice King and Finn. As she was getting closer to the hole in the ground, Snow noticed Princess Bubblegum mumble something, so she stopped. "Have you ever wondered who your mother is?" Snow's eyes opened wide, despite them being swollen after the beating. Snow was astonished that the Princess knows her mother, she needed to know this, just this little piece of information before she left. "It's me Snow" Princess Bubblegum paused and Snow froze in place, "I am you mother Snow, I made you, and I will kill you and your father." Snow felt like her heart was crushed, she wanted to ask more but knew that she didn't have time, she needed to leave return to the Ice Kingdom. Snow turned back to the hole in the ground and slowly walked to it. As she jumped down she noticed her father still unconscious. "Good" she thought to herself, "I don't need him going on another insane fit after seeing me busted up." Snow went to pick him up but noticed Finn's charred body with odd red marking covering him. She went to him and fell to her knees. "I'm so sorry Finn, I never wanted this to happen, I ust wanted to be your friend!" she began to cry and she put her head on his chest, wishing he might be revived. He wasn't, and she knew this. She lifted her head and gradually went to his lips, and briefly kissed him. She got back up and went to her father, who she then coated him in ice so she can have some way of carrying him as she flew, like she did with Finn and Princess Bubblegum. She began to float out of the huge opening in the room, leaving it in a state of disarray, leaving the whole kingdom in a state of disarray, Snow began to fly up and noticed that the Princess was simply staring at her with a dead face, as if she had given up on her humanity. Snow flew away from the Kingdom, noticing the powers of her father diminishing, with everything being returned to normal in about a day or two, she estimated. Snow kept on flying, thinking of some plan to keep both of them alive, and although Snow felt that she deserved to die, she wanted to live even if just to hope that Finn can live, and if anyone deserved to kill her it was Finn. She looked out into the horizon and her unclear future.
"Where am I?" Finn asked as he woke up in his room. He felt as if he had been dreaming some demented and horrible dream. As he got out of bed he tried looking for his brother in their shared room. He decided it was best to get dressed, so he put on his light blue baggy shirt and blue cargo pants with his new pair of black combat boots. He heard Jake singing his Bacon Pancakes song so he decided to walk down the stairs. "Oh wait I forgot my hat, that's odd." he returned to his room and tried to find it he failed and eventually gave up. "Odd I could had sworn I had my hat with me, well guess its somewhere in this house. I'll look for it later, I'm hungry" Finn ran downstairs to see his brother at the stove preparing pancakes. "Yo Jake, you won't believe this crazy ass dream I had, dude it was bananas!" Finn said excitedly, but Jake turned around at his word choice. "Finn, I thought I told you to stop cursing when you get excited, it doesn't suit you" Jake said almost whining. "Sorry, bro, guess it just slips out every now and then" Finn laughed at Jake jokingly chastising him for that odd habit he picked up after hanging with Marceline too much. They began to eat their food and discuss what they were going to do that day, and they decided to just wonder and see if anything catches their attention. When they were finished eating Finn went upstairs to get his Sword, Ethereal Darkness, but when he checked his hiding spot he only found Dyrnwyn, but it seemed ominous to Finn for some reason. "Things just keep getting weirder and weirder this morning, where did I put that damn sword?" Finn decided to not spend too much time looking for the swords so he just picked up his a katana that was even sharper than his Grass Sword, and it gave him improve reflexes. All ready he ran downstairs and to the door. "Yo Jake you ready-" Finn was cut off mid sentenced the moment he opened the door. The world changed from what it was merely seconds before. Everything was on fire, even Jake combusted into flames. The Treehouse disappeared and instead he was gigantic rock formation appeared, and on it were what seemed like people and red wisps floating around. Finn heard chuckling behind him making him draw his sword and jump back, scared out of his mind not knowing what to do. His sword instantly explodes in his hand causing his to throw it in pain. "Fuck!" He fell to the ground grabbing his hand, he got burnt worse than FQ ever burnt him. He looked up to the sky to see where the chuckling was from. A demonic face made of flames began to materialize itself in front of him. "Hello Finn. Welcome to Hell!" The face continued to laugh manically leaving Finn with a face of pure fear and broken hope
