From Williebadger618: "Hi! I really like all of your one-shots! I was wondering if you could write a one-shot where...well, remember the episode "Dreamscaperers"? And remember the part where Bill got very angry in Stan's mindscape and was making everyone's nightmares come true? And remember when Dipper came right on time right before Bill annihilated Mabel and Soos? Well, do you think you could write a one-shot where Bill DOES annihilate Mabel and Soos, and Dipper was a tad late? I would appreciate it. Love your work! Keep it up!"

Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying my one-shots! As for your request, it's definitely an interesting one... I'll do my best!

Bring You Back

Thanks to the Stan in that memory, Dipper realized conjuring whatever you imagined was really useful. For instance, using said ability to fly towards the sound of Mabel, Soos, and Bill's voices in order to try and save the former two. He couldn't help but grin at the sensation of the air rushing past his face as he willed himself to go faster. Despite the dangerous situation he was heading for, this was actually fun.

There was a loud cackle and twin screams, causing the euphoria to vanish in a heartbeat. He felt nauseous all of a sudden and flew for the gigantic stone head (why was it shaped like Grunkle Stan?) in the center of space up ahead. He spotted Bill, who was now bright red and nearly as large as the head he stood upon, but there was no sign of his sister or Soos yet. That thought made him even more queasy and Dipper struggled not to panic. No, he couldn't be too late. They were fine, they had to be!

Yet as he made it to the edge of the head, there was only Bill, who was shrinking back to his normal yellow form once more.

"Bill!" he couldn't stop the shout from rising out of his throat, anger welling up inside. If the demon had hurt them...

The triangle glanced over and seemed shocked for a minute to see him flying before regaining his composure.

"Oh, Pine Tree! Come to join the party? Well, you're a bit too late!"

Dipper landed and looked around, hoping for any sort of sign of Soos and Mabel. He had heard them screaming, he knew they were here... but where were they?

Bill quickly noticed his gaze wandering and put two and two together. The dream demon burst out laughing, much to his unease, and wiped at his singular eye as if he boy had just told such a funny joke that he was crying through his laughter. "Wondering where they are? Oh, don't worry, kid! They're not going to be a problem anymore!"

Mabel, please just show yourself, where are you and Soos?

"What are you talking about? What did you do to them?"

Bill chuckled. "Well, I may or may not have gotten mad because they cost me a very important deal with Gideon... So now they're gone!"

He felt as if someone had shot a hole through his chest again. No. He's lying. They can't be gone, he's lying!

"Kid, you've got some very loud thoughts, you know..."

"Tell me where they are!" Dipper snapped, not noticing how his small form trembled.

The demon stared at him blankly for a moment. "Pine Tree, are you going deaf? They're gone, kid."

He shook his head, raising a shaking hand to his head and running a hand through his hair as he tried to process what was happening. It has to be a lie, they can't be gone, THEY CAN'T BE GONE, NO, THEY CAN'T -

A low hissing sound reached his ears and the boy looked up hesitantly. Bill was glaring at him, red sparks flying off of the triangle's body as he made his way over to the shaking preteen.

"They. Are. Gone. What part about being annihilated don't you understand, Pine Tree?"

Dipper felt numb.

He couldn't have been too late. He couldn't have...

Oh, no. This was all his fault.

Angry words floated about in his jumbled mind as he recalled his last words to them and theirs to him. The shaking grew worse, until he almost appeared to be having a seizure.

If I had just come sooner...

"Well, this was fun!" If Bill could smile, he would be smiling as wide as he could at the boy's terrified and grieving thoughts. "Can't wait to see Stan's reaction to this! You've really done it this time, kid. See you later! I'll be watching you!"

And as his vision blurred while he was thrown from Stan's mindscape, Dipper knew with absolute clarity that there was no way he could rectify this.

I think this is probably the darkest one-shot I've made yet. I could have made the annihilation more graphic but I think they would just bloop out of existence if they died in the mindscape.
