AN: Thank you all again for your lovely and much appreciated responses to the story. Hope you enjoy this installation!

The fifth month went by quickly, as they were all back into routine; Lisbon staying back late finishing up forms, Grace and Rigsby flirting around the place, Cho - being Cho, all the while, Jane's disappearance now at the back of their minds. They all still worried about him - who wouldn't if their friend had randomly left without a trace.. but there was no use in sitting around being sad.

Wainwright seemed to be getting more and more stressed and irritable as time went on. He seemed extremely unsatisfied with the team's good closure rates - simply because they weren't as high as before Jane left. Lisbon couldn't help but despise her boss for that. You can't fire someone and then try to blame others for the consequences of him being fired. Things just don't work that way.

Lisbon had given up calling Jane in the fifth month he was gone - there was no point, she figured. It was a waste of her time and money to keep repeating herself into her phone. If Jane was going to do what she said, he would have done it by now.

She had also given up trying to convince Wainwright to use the CBI resources to reach out to Jane. It wasn't worth her energy - Wainwright was as stubborn as anything.

She still however, prayed for Jane. Slipped a little sentence or two into her prayers whenever she sent them - more for herself than for him.

It was the beginning of the sixth month when Lisbon heard of Lorry Marshall's sudden resignation from the CBI. She couldn't get many details, but did find it a little odd. Lorry had seemed rather invested in the Jane and Lisbon soap opera - but she figured that maybe it was just Lorry's job to act so.

She did have Lorry to thank for realising some feelings she may have for Jane. Thinking back on all their times together had gotten Lisbon's heart throbbing. But she knew the likeliness of anything happening was so unrealistic, it really wasn't worth feeding those feelings anymore.

********change in pov*******

Loreli Martins was glad to dye her hair back to its natural colour, and get back into her favourite clothing, away from the fake blonde and dry-cleaned suits she wore to follow the orders of Red John. She'd liked Lisbon - and was satisfied that she had encouraged the agent to maintain her fondness for Jane just long enough to tempt Jane against joining Red John. She knew of Jane's powers of observation, and now that Lisbon was definitely still fond of him, she would be the perfect test to discover the legitimacy of Jane's future dedication to Red John.

Red John suspected Jane of suffering a break down, of giving up - but had to be sure. Loreli's job was to bait Lisbon's feelings for Jane- so that when the time came, Jane's decision would be a true portrayal of loyalty to the one and only Red John.

Loreli put on her red waitress jacket and tidied her hair in the motel mirror. She was honoured to be the disciple who would aid in testing Jane's ability to become either a follower of Red John, or an enemy.

I hope you guys don't mind - although this fic will still fit into canon, I've added a little twist ;)

Thanks again for your support and ideas, much welcomed, please review if you can, they're really encouraging :)
