I ended up writing another Merlin themed poem, so I decided to add it here. Though I'm going to keep this marked as complete, I may end up adding more poems if I feel like writing them. This one's from Merlin's perspective.
I'm stronger than them all, but he can't know
A servant who's unworthy of a glance
From all of those who have a fighter's stance,
Could have more power than I ever show
Because he fears the light of magic's glow.
Without me, he would never stand a chance
Though he would not attribute his advance
To me, so plainly worthless and so low.
But someday soon I'll step into the light,
With good and bad both out for all to see,
My shadow life forever at an end,
And when he learns of times I've saved his life
And gave up so much just to keep him free
He'll on that day embrace me as a friend.
