Chapter 43: Catherine's Revenge!
'As seen in the movies, all clones have one goal and one goal only: Destroy the original and take over the original's life or the world, but over the years, those plans have changed, especially in the case of Catherine Pines. While her original plans changed, Catherine has a New Year's Resolution that she intends to see through to the end!'
In the middle of the room encased in a purple force field floated an unconscious Mabel Pines. The nightmare curse that was placed on her was lifted the moment she got into Catherine's hideout, the clone pleased with what she has accomplished with getting her hands on her "sister". There was only one piece of the puzzle left to fulfill and it was up to Gideon to fulfill that area successfully. With all three journals in her possession, she and Bill both have begun planning their world domination. Of course there hasn't been much to plan since the entire town has fallen at the pair's feet!
"Ok that's quite enough." Catherine dismissed Wendy, the red head filing the clone's finger nails on her right hand. "You've done quite a great job. Now out of sight until I require your presence again."
"Right away Catherine." Wendy hastily spoke as she got to her knees and backed away from the clone. Having heard what Wendy voiced, Catherine turned to the nervous teen with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, what?" Catherine calmly repeated.
"I mean, yes your highness." Wendy clarified with a bow. "My apologies."
"You're forgiven this time." Catherine harshly voiced to the teen, a small growl escaping her throat. "Now go watch the prisoner until Bill returns and when he does, things can really get started."
Wendy bowed to Catherine once more and made her way over to the unconscious Mabel, her vision showing sadness and betrayal that she is no longer loyal to her best friends under Catherine's rule.
Thompson and Nate, who jetted out of the kitchen with a meal and a full glass of ice tea per Catherine's request, ran to the desk to be the first to offer her what she asked of them.
"Hey! Get out of my way bean pole!" Nate scolded Lee, who is elbowed by the dark skinned guy. "I was here first!"
"No, I was here first!" Lee fumed as he set his plate on Catherine's desk so to indicate that he was indeed first. "Your evilness, your grilled cheese sandwich as you wanted it."
"And your tea as you requested." Nate offered next as he sat the glass next to the plate.
Catherine looked over both and scrunched up her nose in disgust, particularly at the sandwich. The crust around the sandwich was lightly burned while in other areas of the crust, those areas were completely burned. Turning to the two, Lee and Nate could see the fire igniting in her deep emerald eyes.
"The edges of my sandwich are burned." Catherine calmly spoke with a hint of danger in her voice as she got to her feet while locking her vision with Lee's. "And you know how much I hate the edges being burned."
Seeing the look on the clone's face, Nate turned to Lee and backed away from him, not wanting to catch the consequences of what Catherine had in store for him. The long haired blonde teen began heavily sweating, afraid of what Catherine had in store for him.
"Catherine, I'm sorry! I swear I'll go back and fix it!" Lee begged as he fell to his knees in a plea. "Please give me a second chance so I can go back and fix it as you only deserve the best."
Dangerously eyeing the blonde, Catherine's emerald green eyes bore into Lee's agonized vision, a hint of majestic purple appearing in his black eyes. The teen's eyes turned completely black and his mouth gaped open. From there, he fell unconscious at the clone's feet as Nate rushed over to Lee and shook him feverishly so to wake him up.
"I wouldn't bother." Catherine nonchalantly voiced as she turned to her nails on her right hand. "He won't be waking up for a while."
Grabbing the plate off the desk, Catherine held it out as Robbie ran over to her and grabbed it from her.
"I'll go and change it mistress." Robbie voiced as he bowed to Catherine.
"Excellent." Catherine evilly grinned watching as Robbie hastily hurried to her kitchen to fix Lee's mistake. "Now, I wonder if Bill has any good news to report about the state of the circle and if it's ready for the ritual as of yet. I'm getting restless."
Forest (Mystic Circle)
Still in his human form from when Catherine transformed him after he delivered the teens to her, Bill watched as the sickly green color of the circle grew brighter and brighter by the minute. Reaching into his suit, Bill pulled out a sterling silver pocket watch and opened it to see the time. Noticing that the time is close to sunset, Bill closed the watch and turned back to the circle.
"It's almost ready." Bill spoke with a devious smile. "Catherine will surely be pleased when she finds out the circle will soon be ready for our ritual. Hmm, I wonder what Catherine would say if I suggested my being her king when she becomes Queen of this measly planet. I surely hope she agrees because I am more than eager to accept! Well, I better get back and see how things are going on her end."
With a snap of the finger, Bill vanished into thin air.
Gleeful Residence
"Gideon, you little weasel!" Dipper yelled behind from the pulsating blue force field that held him in place from the jinxed journal that Catherine swapped out for his journal. "When I get out of here, you and Catherine are both dead! Do you hear me? Dead! She is especially going to pay because of what she did to Mabel!"
"Oh contraire` my old adversary." Gideon laughed as he began circling the trapped brunette. "You might as well admit defeat! The entire town has fallen at her feet and once she becomes Queen, I'm going to be her king. You know Pines, as much as I hate to admit this, Catherine is pretty cunning and knew just where to play at your weakness, something that is very admirable about her."
"If you haven't noticed by now, Catherine is doing this for herself!" Dipper continued fuming. "She only enlisted you because she knows how weak you are and she was able to play on that! Why don't you come off the power trip and realize that?!"
"You don't know that!" Gideon fussed as he halted from circling Dipper. "Catherine isn't that selfish!"
"Oh no? Then what's in it for you?" Dipper asked. "What did she promise you for helping her in her twisted scheme?"
At that moment, Gideon paused from conjuring an argument. When pleading for Catherine to hear him out and not end him the moment the two faced off, not once did she mention what was in it for him when she requested his services. Shaking from deep thought, Gideon whipped his attention back to Dipper.
"She didn't give you anything did she?" Dipper spoke as he played on the albino's confusion. "Just as I thought and if you woke up, you'd realize that there isn't in it for you! That's how Catherine works!"
"You don't know that Pines!" Gideon fought back. "But I do know one thing, you will soon be visiting the underworld along with everyone else once Catherine puts her plan into action! I won't have to look at you anymore after that and I can't wait! You've been a thorn in my side long enough!"
"If you weren't busy being Catherine's lap dog, you'd see what she was up to, but I guess you're as stupid as I always thought you were!" Dipper fumed at the albino.
"And that's where you're mistake ultimately lies Dipper Pines!" Gideon darkly chuckled as he manifested a small onyx stone in the palm of his right hand. "While I was ultimately instructed to hold you until Catherine decided what to do with you, she also gave me permission to use force if necessary and you just forced my hand."
Walking over to the open jinxed '3' journal, Gideon placed the onyx stone on the symbol of the mystic circle whose force field is holding Dipper in place. The force field began glowing bright, which prompted Dipper to shield his eyes from the light as it grew brighter and brighter due to the dark magic that was contained in the stone. The light then died down with Dipper quickly vanishing from sight. With the brunette vanished to who knows where, Gideon picked up the stone, and then the book as he closed it, a smirk gained on his chubby features.
"Catherine will surely be pleased." Gideon darkly chirped as he walked toward his bedroom door with the jinxed book under his arm.
Nightmare in Gravity Falls is back and with more action than before! Stay tuned as things go from subtle to big bang!
Next chapter: After overcoming many obstacles, Dipper and Pacifica finally tie the knot in the largest banquet hall in Gravity Falls! A Dipcifica spectacular that is sure to please! To be posted in February!

Life has been pulling me in another direction as of late, but just know that they will be updated no matter what, even if it does take me some time to get to them starting with a Demon's Scorn. :) With school starting back in two weeks, I will do my best to get a lot updated before then!
