Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers. Saban and Nickelodeon own them. I also don't own any song lyrics used.
AN: Here's chapter 48! Enjoy and let me know what you think! Thanks to all the great reviews too and here's notes to those individuals:
scott hendon: Thanks, so glad you are enjoying it. I love PR for what it is, but I've always wanted to take it to the next level. This is my answer so I'm really glad you like it. If you like this, then feel free to check out my recent PR series. Endangered Legacy, Secrets, and Butterflies and Hurricanes. In that order too since it's a series. :)
garnetred: Thanks, glad you like the addition of the Psycho rangers. I thought giving them elements only adds to their threat.
Neon765: Haha, yeah I'm sure most have figured it out. But I think I still threw enough surprises into this chapter. ;)
fallingstar22: Hmmm...maybe. :) Read on and enjoy.
Pinkrangerfan : Glad you're enjoying it.
MMPRFansince93: Thanks, glad you're enjoying it. I'm sure you'll like how I handle the psychos in these next few chapters. Enjoy.
La5021: Hmm...maybe. Read and find out. :)
TommyOliverMMPRFan: Yep, you'll find out what's going on with Tori in this chapter. Enjoy. :)
Alex B. Goode : Thanks, glad you're enjoying it.
RHatch89: Thanks, glad you like it so much. :)
Jokermask18: Thanks, glad you're enjoying it. As for a throwdown between the big bads, there just might be. Not sure it would be PR without backstabbing, feuding villains :)
Harry2: Yep, a lot going on personally for the rangers and big battles are on the horizon. Glad you're enjoying.
MF 22: Yes, Angela is being very unfair. But I always have thought that if their relationship had been portrayed as a real relationship, then it would have been a very one sided, unhealthy one. Zack reveres her and she treats him like gum on her shoe unless he's buying her an expensive gift. To me, this is about how I imagine a marriage between them would be like, unless she changed a lot. And most people don't change. I'm not sure how I will proceed with their relationship, but if I stay on the realistic track, things aren't looking good for that marriage.
As for the thunder shield Tori conjured, you'll find out in this chapter. But I will say it's different than what I'm doing in Butterflies and Hurricanes. ;)
Glad you're enjoying it. :)
Crimson Rising
Chapter 48: We Remain
In a cold night
There will be no fair fight
There will be no good night
To turn and walk away
To burn me with fire,
Drown me with rain
I'm gonna wake up
Screaming your name
Yes I'm a sinner
Yes I'm a saint
Whatever happens here
Whatever happens here
We remain

The Beach
Blue Bay Harbor
Shane back flipped to evade Psycho Red's onslaught of furious kicks and punches. Using his power over air, he sailed into the air and used his legs to move through the sky in a running motion, as if he were walking on air. But what he didn't expect came next, as Psycho Red propelled into the air, taking Shane by surprise. With a hard back hand, the air ninja was sent plummeting into the sand below. Psycho red landed in the sand and hovered over him, as Shane tried to get his bearings.
"I told you...I know all your moves and I have all your powers. In fact, I use them better than you!" he hissed, as he launched another air beam at the red ranger. Shane rolled out of the way and fired his own, as they dueled for control.
Two lines burrowed through the sand and Dustin shot out from the ground with Psycho yellow on his heels. He kicked Dustin in the chest and the earth ninja improvised. His empty ranger suit fell to the ground, but Psycho yellow, knowing all his moves, turned and flipped the yellow ninja over his shoulder and onto his back. Dustin rolled out of the way, as Psycho yellow attempted to stomp on him and he disappeared beneath the sand again. Psycho yellow gave chase, intending to defeat his nemesis.
Twin thunder blades clashed fiercely, as Blake dueled Psycho Navy. Navy thunder sizzled between them, as they parried and clashed with furious movements.
"You're slowing, Navy ranger," Psycho Navy taunted.
"You wish," Blake retorted, as he expertly twirled his thunder blade, gathering electricity and launching it at his opponent, who met his with a similar attack.
Cam spun in a spiral motion, swinging his blade with the grace of a samurai and his opponent mirrored his moves, parrying his blade and making strikes of his own.
"I have learned the ways of the Samurai just like you, but I assure you that I'm able to execute them better," Psycho green hissed.
"No, you didn't learn anything. You've been programmed to copy and imitate my moves, nothing more. And if I can't defeat you, which I can, by the way, then I'll take you apart like any other computer device," Cam retorted. Psycho green growled and lashed out at him.
Hunter faced Psycho crimson in hand to hand combat and found that he did indeed know all his moves. But Hunter was able to meet his strength by only using a fraction of his own. However, he didn't let on that he was merely toying with him. The others were having more trouble with their adversaries, but try as they had, Phoenix strength and fire just couldn't be replicated. Hunter feigned injury, as Psycho crimson landed a vicious punch to his stomach.
"I was expecting more from the mighty Phoenix," he hissed. Hunter smirked beneath his helmet and grabbed his arm. He used just a fraction of his real strength and began squeezing. Psycho crimson screamed in agony and feel to his knees.
"The problem with you is that you can't replicate the power of the Phoenix, at least not anywhere near the real power. But you're not even a good copy," Hunter goaded. Psycho crimson growled and swung his other arm in an attempt to punch Hunter. But he caught the fist and with a flick of his wrist, he broke the arm, causing a roar of pain. Hunter's visor opened.
"I could easily end you right now, but you're so pathetically outmatched that it's not worth my time," Hunter hissed, as he shoved him away.
"Crawl back to your mistress and tell her that she's next on my list," Hunter taunted. His attention was then captured by his love, as he witnessed her using crimson thunder again and he hurried to her.
Hydro blasts pelted the ground around Tori, as she dodged the attacks Psycho blue was firing at her. Tori drew her bow and leapt into the air, firing arrows at her opponent. But Psycho blue batted them away with her hydro saber and sent a blue energy blast at the water ninja, striking her in the chest. Tori fell to the sand and felt a hand wrap around her neck. Tori grabbed the arm and tried to pry away the fingers that were squeezing her airway. Her visor opened, as she attempted to get air, but Psycho blue clenched harder.
"Say goodnight little blue..." she hissed. But she suddenly recoiled in pained shock, as ribbons of crimson lightning traveled down her arms and electrocuted Psycho blue. Tori gasped air into her lungs and slowly climbed to her feet.
"How...your power is water..." Psycho blue stammered.
"That's it...she can handle all my water attacks, but not any other element," Tori stated, as she looked at her hands. But she didn't even know how she was using crimson thunder. It didn't make any sense, but she had an idea. Leaving the stunned Psycho blue, she ran toward Hunter, who was hurrying to her. She saw Psycho Crimson pull himself to his feet to interfere, but she wouldn't let him. Powering up a huge wall of water, she thrust it toward the evil warrior. It washed him back and their visors opened, as they reached each other.
"Are you okay?" he asked. She nodded.
"I think I know how to beat Psycho Blue. Let's use a fusion attack to disorient her," she suggested. He nodded and their visors closed, as they willed their powers forth, each forming a sphere of their powers. They fused the power together, creating a large orb of crackling amethyst energy. Psycho Blue fired her own attack, as they thrust it at her, but her attack was nullified and she screamed in pain, as she was struck. When the smoke cleared, a heavily wounded Psycho Blue attempted to get to her feet. But Tori felt the unusual sensation again and willed the crimson thunder to gather on the tip of one of her arrows. Hunter watched in amazement, as she threaded the thunder charged arrow and launched it at Psycho Blue. The creature screamed in disbelief and Tori met her target, striking her in the chest. A violent explosion followed and ashy remains floated down to the sand.
"Impossible!" Psycho Crimson hissed.
"She...destroyed Psycho Blue. How is that possible?!" Psycho Yellow growled.
"Retreat. This isn't over, rangers. Next time, you won't be so lucky!" Psycho Red hissed, as they disappeared. They regrouped, the guys all chattering a mile a minute, as they marveled over the feat Tori had just accomplished.
"Whoa...you're like the girl on fire! Seriously, are you going use fire next?" Dustin said, putting his arm around her.
"No kidding. How did you do that?" Shane asked.
"She figured out what the rest of us should have. We can't beat our own color or element," Cam stated.
"Yeah...but how did she use crimson thunder?" Blake asked. Tori shrugged.
"I wish I knew. It just happened," Tori replied.
"Well, I'm not sure how you did it, but I know that you're amazing," Hunter said, as he put his arm around her waist. She smiled shyly and then stumbled slightly. He caught her and her eyes met his concerned ones.
"I'm fine," she insisted.
"I think Trini should take a look, just to make sure," Cam replied.
"I agree," Hunter said.
"Hey Carls, can you get us out of here?" Blake asked into his phone.
"Standby in three..." she replied, as they disappeared in streaks of light.
Ivan Ooze's Spaceship
The five remaining Psycho rangers writhed in pain, as Toxa electrocuted them mercilessly with her powers.
"You worthless failures!" she growled angrily, as she released four of them and tortured the crimson one.
"He made a laughing stock out of you! I should have known you wouldn't be able to handle him," Toxa hissed, as she ceased her attack.
"From now on you will be charged with the demise of the blue ranger," Toxa ordered.
"No...the crimson ranger is mine!" he growled. She responded by pouring purple lightning into him again.
"Perhaps you'd like to tell my father that. The crimson ranger is his, but if you'd like to argue with him, I'm sure he would be more than happy to make a crimson scorch mark out of you," she hissed. Psycho crimson wisely remained silent, as she stalked out of the room.
"Good thing I got my money back from that scientist. What a waste. I expect a better showing next time or I'll kill you all myself," Syrus threatened, as he followed Toxa.
The Legacy Compound
Med Bay
"Babe...stop pacing, you're making me nervous," Tori said, as she sat on the med table. He sighed and came beside her.
"Sorry, I'm just worried about you," he lamented. She tugged at the collar of his shirt, bringing his face down to hers and kissed him tenderly.
"I know, but I'm fine. I don't understand what happened on the battlefield, but I feel fine," Tori insisted, as Dana and Trini came back into the room.
"Did you find anything?" Hunter asked abruptly. They smiled at them.
"Tori is the picture of perfect health," Dana stated.
"Then you don't know why I suddenly could unknowingly conjure Hunter's powers out there?" Tori asked.
"We don't, but I think they do," Trini said, as Dulcea and Zedd entered the room.
"What's going on?" Hunter asked.
"We asked Trini and Dana to run a couple other tests," Zedd replied.
"You know what's going on?" Tori asked. Dulcea nodded and exchanged a glance with Zedd. Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Come on, just tell us," he said impatiently, as the four of them grinned.
"Tori...you're pregnant," Trini announced.
"Pregnant?" Tori asked in surprise. Dana smiled.
"Ten weeks along, which means you need to get on these vitamins asap," she said, as she handed her a bottle of the pills.
"Then I didn't unknowingly conjure Hunter's powers?" Tori asked.
"No...but the baby did," Zedd replied. Hunter's eyes widened.
"The baby did all that?" Hunter asked in disbelief. She nodded.
"I experienced something similar when I was pregnant with you. The Phoenix now protects Tori, because she carries the Phoenix heir," Dulcea stated.
"And while we're all over the moon about this, we must now be even more cautious. Vile will know immediately that Tori is with child since he saw Dulcea manifest crimson thunder first hand when she carried Hunter," Zedd warned.
"And Ivan Ooze will probably figure it out pretty easily too," Trini warned.
"But nevertheless, this is a very joyous occasion," Dulcea said with a bright smile, as she hugged them both.
"We'll give you two a few minutes," Dana said, as they all quietly left. Hunter took her hands in his own and noticed the shocked look on her face.
"Are you okay?" he asked. She nodded.
"Just surprised, but really happy," she replied, prompting a response from him. He grinned and surprised her again, by lifting her off the table and spinning her around. He captured her lips in a passionate kiss and slowly lowered her until her feet were on the floor. As their lips parted, she smiled.
"I take that to mean you're happy too?" she asked. He smiled.
"We're having a baby. This the one of the happiest moments of my life," he assured her. She smiled and hugged him tightly.
"I just wish the timing was better," she said in a worried tone. He responded by kissing her again, moving his lips over her in a passionate rhythm, leaving her breathless when their lips parted.
"Together, there isn't anything we can't do and that includes defeating them. I won't let Ivan Ooze and Master Vile dictate our lives any longer and I will never let them hurt you and our baby," he promised. She smiled and hugged him tightly.
"Let's not wait any longer then to get married," she said. He smiled.
"Really?" he asked. She nodded.
"I know we said we were going to wait until after this was all over, but we don't know when that will be and I'd like to get into a wedding dress before I'm as big as a house," she said, only half joking.
"On the beach?" he asked. She nodded.
"On the beach," she agreed eagerly, as she kissed him again.
Ivan Ooze's Spaceship
"If you hadn't already killed that scientist, I would have done it for you!" Toxa growled.
"Pipe down Princess, they still beat the crap out of those brats, four of them did anyway," Syrus hissed.
"The blue one was destroyed and the crimson one was pathetic!" Toxa ranted.
"How was I supposed to know that crafty little blue one could use the Phoenix powers too?" Syrus spat back.
"Except that she can't," Ivan interjected.
"What do you mean, father?" Toxa asked.
"Only a Phoenix can conjure true Phoenix thunder like she did," Ooze replied.
"But you just said that she couldn't," Syrus said.
"She can't, but the Phoenix heir can, or rather the Phoenix Ninjetti spirit protecting the heir," Ivan replied. Syrus still looked confused and Ivan rolled his eyes.
"She's pregnant, you moron," Ivan said bluntly.
"Then we must kill her," Toxa said.
"Of course we must kill her!" Ivan snapped.
"It's time we deal with them both and I know exactly how we must do it," Ivan said. They waited for him to elaborate, but he didn't and they didn't press the issue, since he stood at the view window, crackling angrily with purple energy.
The Legacy Compound
Ranger Ops
"Hey...so what's going on?" Shane asked, as he spotted Tori and Hunter coming from the med bay. Their smiles were contagious and he smiled at them.
"Come on, spill it," he urged.
"Well, I'm perfectly healthy," Tori mused.
"Yeah, we got that by the looks on your faces," Cam said.
"Yeah, Hunter looks like he just won the lottery," Dustin mentioned.
"I did in a way," Hunter replied. Tori smiled.
"I'm pregnant," she announced, catching everyone's attention.
"That's amazing!" Shane said.
"Congrats bro," Blake said, clapping Hunter on the shoulder.
"So that's why you were able to use crimson thunder," Cam stated.
"Dudes, we're gonna have a mini Phoenix!" Dustin said.
"Tori and Hunter, that is indeed wonderful news," Sensei congratulated. The other teams were now congregating around them with enthusiastic congratulations.
"We're so happy for you!" Kat gushed, as she and many of the other girls all took turns hugging her.
"And since you're all here, we might as well announce that we've decided not to wait to get married much longer," Hunter said. The girls squealed in excitement, as they gathered around Tori and chatted a mile a minute. The guys looked slightly horrified.
"First, we need to go dress shopping tomorrow. I know the best little wedding boutique in Angel Grove," Kimberly gushed.
"Then we need to plan your bridal shower," Trini added.
"And then your venue of course," Aisha added. Tori looked a little scared.
"Um...we just want a simple little ceremony on the beach," she said.
"Oh...well that will work. But you have to let us plan this for you," Kim pleaded.
"Sure," Tori said uncertainly. Zedd chuckled at the confused look on his nephew's face.
"Did you really think this was going to be simple?" Zedd asked.
"Yeah, we did. We were thinking of getting married, like this weekend," Hunter replied.
"We need a little more time than that, sweetheart," Dulcea said.
"Yeah, look at it this way, we can have a proper bachelor party for you," Jason said. Hunter nodded. Zedd chuckled.
"And you thought this was going be simple," he teased. Hunter rolled his eyes and put his arm
around Tori's waist.
"I told you we should have eloped," he whispered to her. She smiled.
"You were right," she admitted.
Ivan Ooze's Spaceship
Ivan Ooze stood at the base of another one of his magnificent Ecto Morphicon's that his scientists and engineers had been working tirelessly on. Psycho crimson struggled with his captors, as they dragged into the docking bay.
"You were an absolute disgrace earlier. The Phoenix ranger made a laughing stock out of you, but I have found a use for you after all," Ivan said, as he motioned to his new creation, which was modeled in the likeness of the mythological Thunderbird.
"You want me to pilot this?" Psycho crimson asked. Ivan chuckled.
"In a way," he mused, as he struck the being with his purple lightning, until he collapsed to the floor, barely conscious. Ivan Ooze stepped on his back and extracted his datacard, before handing it to one of his engineers.
"Download this into the Thunderbird and scrap him for parts. His hardware will make nice finishing touches to my new creation. It will be enough to get the Phoenix ranger right where I want him," Ivan hissed. Psycho crimson screamed in horror, as the scientists began taking him apart...literally.
Duronian Royal Cruiser
Master Vile sat on his new Throne, effectively the new ruler of Duronia since his take over of this new living vessel. For years, centuries rather, this powerful race of beings carried out Ivan Ooze's mandate, even in the years he was believed to be dead. Their potential had been utterly wasted. He was soon going to change that and finally challenge his rule. But unfortunately, he had witnessed a greater threat during the recent battle on Earth
"You failed me, Hebina," Vile chided.
"I am deeply sorry, my Master. I will make the blue and crimson rangers pay for their trickery," she hissed.
"Any trickery on their part had little to do with your defeat. She carries the Phoenix heir now," he informed her.
"Then she most certainly must die while that spawn is still inside her," Hebina hissed, as she produced a curved, hook like dagger.
"My venom blade in her abdomen should be sufficient to kill even a Phoenix fetus," she hissed. Vile smirked.
"Draw the ninjas out and kill them all. I'll not let Ivan Ooze have all the glory," Vile ordered. Hebina morphed into her snake form and slithered away.

The Beach
Tori smiled, as Zoe lay curled up fast asleep against Hunter's chest. They had had went swimming in the ocean again and she was wiped out for the night. She was still learning to swim, but hadn't been scared at all in the water with Hunter holding her hands all the way. "She loves you. She feels so safe with you, just like me," Tori said. He put his arm around her, as they sat in the sand, gazing out at the sunset.
"Well, I love her too...and you," he replied, as he kissed her tenderly.
"You're going to make such a wonderful father," she said.
"Well, my adoptive father was pretty great, so I want to be like he was. Blake and I have a lot of good memories before they were killed. I'm sure my real father would have been amazing too if he had lived," Hunter replied.
"He gave you and your mom a chance by sacrificing himself. I'd say that qualifies as pretty great," she said.
"I'd do the same for you, Zoe, and our baby, you know," he said. She nodded.
"I know, but I really hope it doesn't come to that. I can't lose you," she replied. He smiled and kissed her again.
"Trust me, I'm going to do everything I can to not die," he promised. She smiled.
"And I'm going to hold you to that," she responded.
"Come on, let's put her to bed," Hunter said, as they stood up and headed inside.
Angel Grove
Adam bowed out his new evening class and went to the counter where Tanya waited. Ernie offered him a glass of water.
"Thanks Ernie," he responded.
It's good to see things getting back to normal around here," Ernie mentioned.
"Yeah, I'm glad we're not wanted fugitives anymore. I just wish the bank wasn't being so unreasonable about giving my dojo back," he mentioned. After they had gone into hiding, the bank had taken Adam's dojo back, despite his attempts to make his lease payments.
"They were wrong to revoke your lease on what they're calling moral grounds. Wes' attorneys are going to destroy them in court next week," Tanya reminded.
"She's right. Besides, you know you're welcome to have your classes here as long as you need to," Ernie said. Adam smiled.
"Thanks Ernie," he replied, as a huge explosion was heard outside.
"Oh no," Tanya said, as she and Adam rushed outside. However, they didn't see any monsters or foot soldiers like they expected to. But Adam's eyes became fixated on the human carnage that littered the ground before them. That's when they saw two more people, a male teen and a middle aged woman walking toward them. They each had a glazed look in their eyes and had bombs strapped to them.
"No..." Tanya gasped, realizing what was going on, but Adam held her back.
"Cam, do you have those eye protectors you've been working on," Adam asked into his phone.
"On the way. I've already called the others too," he replied.
What looked like ordinary sunglasses, each in their respective colors of black and green, appeared in their hands. But Adam knew they were far from ordinary, as he and Tanya put them on.
"Come out of your hidey hole, snake!" Adam snapped.
"And let these innocent people go! Your beef is with us, not these innocent civilians!" Tanya added.
"What's the fun in that? These two should feel honored that I chose them for greatness," Hebina hissed, as she appeared behind them. They turned and glared at the creature.
"They are threatening me, my pets. Take care of them," Hebina hissed. The two in her trance began to advance on Adam and Tanya.
"No...snap out of it!" Adam cried, trying to get through to them.
"Don't let her control you!" Tanya pleaded.
"Detonate," Hebina hissed.
"NO!" Tanya cried, as Adam pulled her away and they hit the ground as two explosions ensued. Tanya couldn't help her sobbing, as Adam helped her up. The anguish on his face delighted Hebina, as human remains surrounded them.
"You unimaginable monster!" Tanya screamed, as she morphed in a flash of green and charged.
Tanya...wait!" Adam pleaded, as he watched the snake wrapped her tail around his love's neck.
"It's Morphin' Time!" Adam said fiercely, as he sailed into the air.
"Ninjetti...the Frog!" he called, as he leapt into the air and brought his axe down to chop at the creature's tail. The severed appendage fell limp to the ground and Hebina screamed in horror. She charged and Adam shoved Tanya out of the way. He fired blasts from his axe canon, but the snake ninja evaded them, swiping him across the chest with her venom blade. His armor stopped the poison, but Adam went down, as sparks erupted from the inflicted wound. Hebina smirked and her tail slithered around his neck and helmet. Adam gasped for air and heard his helmet crack, as she applied too much pressure. He tore it off in an attempt to get air. The snake ninja grabbed the protective glasses off his face and he clenched his eyes shut.
"Come on...open those eyes, little froggie," she goaded, as she grabbed his face, trying to force his eyes open. But her grip was snapped when Dustin burst from the ground, hitting her in the face with an earth beam. Hebina spotted Tori, as she fired a water beam, which the snake evaded.
"You shouldn't have come, little dolphin. I will skewer you and the fledgling inside you for my Master," Hebina hissed, as she poised her curved blade for strike. But she was pelted with blasts of green energy in response, as Zedd, morphed as the green ranger, landed beside her. He touched Tori's shoulder and willed the dragon shield to be transferred to her.
"If you think I'm going to let Vile destroy my family like he did the first time, you've got another thing coming," Zedd growled.
"If memory serves right, you helped him destroy it," Hebina retorted.
"You're right, but now I intend to fix my mistakes and make him pay," Zedd replied, as he stood beside Hunter, who arrived on the Phoenix glider bike.
"End her. She won't stop until she kills Tori and the baby. And she'll use that blade, humans bombs, or whatever else she can," Zedd warned. Hunter sunk into fighting stance, preparing to take the snake ninja on.
"She'll avoid taking you on directly if she can. Don't let her," he advised, as he launched at her. She growled and tried to evade him, attempting to go straight for Tori. But Hunter stopped her and engaged her in a duel. Her venom blade versus his Phoenix saber. Hebina growled in frustration, as she found herself shadowboxing and found him to be impervious to her mind control, thanks to the shield the blue ranger was projecting around him.
She growled and sent a barrage of blasts toward the others over Hunter's shoulder. She smirked evilly at him, but was confused when he simply stepped to the side. The dragon shield blocked her blasts and sent them right back at her, throwing her to the ground in a violent explosion of sparks.
"I told you that you're not going near my family. Five hundred years of following the dark path and you're still getting no where. I almost feel sorry for you," Hunter goaded, as he drew his saber.
"Almost," he added, as he posed to strike. At that moment, a horrific explosion was heard, as downtown Angel Grove's tallest tower exploded in flames. A massive creature flapped its wings angrily, only fueling the flames.
"What the hell is that?" Shane wondered.
"It looks like another of Ivan's monstrosities, this time in the form of a Thunderbird, with some added extra parts," Zedd replied.
"Gross," Kim commented.
"Is that parts of a psycho ranger?" Jason wondered.
"Seems Ivan was pretty angry that Psycho Crimson was defeated so easily, so he harvested him for parts," Zedd confirmed.
"That's sick dude," Dustin commented.
"We'll take on beastly," Tommy said.
"You keep trashing snake head, fire boy," Jason added, as they prepared to call the zords.
"Let's see how well you do without your precious blue ranger protecting your mind," she kissed, as she employed her psychic powers to attack from the inside. Hunter held his head in agony and she kicked him in the chest. He went flying back into the burning, collapsing tower, as she stalked after him. The fire raged around him, but he was unfazed by his own element, as she slithered past him in snake form, before morphing into her hybrid human/snake form.
"Time to clip your wings, little birdy," she hissed, as he felt her trying to penetrate his mind again. But Hunter's smirk unnerved her, as he seemed unfazed and she would find out why, as an aura of fire blazed around him. It was then that she realized in the heart of his element, that her trickery and hypnotism was ineffective. His visor opened and he glared at her with unprotected eyes, even as she still attempted to penetrate the Phoenix fire around him.
"The second you went after her and our baby, you sealed your fate," he spat. She hissed and charged, aiming her venom blade for his jugular with the hope of penetrating his armor. Hunter brought his blade up and metal clashed on metal, as he held her blade at bay. In a move taught to him by Ninjor himself, he turned her blade to the side, bringing his around and passing through both her wrists. An agonizing scream erupted from her throat, as she looked at her severed arms. Her hands fell dead to the ground and burned up in seconds and she backed away from the fire ranger in horror, unable to hide her fear of him any longer. In a last ditch effort to escape, she transformed into her serpent form and attempted to slither away, but flames were every where and she was trapped. She shrieked in pain, as Hunter stomped on her already severed stub of a tail and forced her back into her humanoid form. She glared up at him and grabbed her venom blade, trying to pierce the armor on his leg. But his flaming aura flared and she shrieked, as she found her body on fire. In a matter of seconds, she burned to ash and was finally vanquished. Hunter hurried out of the building, just as it collapsed completely. His visor opened briefly and he breathed in fresh air, as he witnessed the Megazords taking on Toxa in her zord, the enlarged monster forms of the psycho rangers, and Ivan's Thunderbird Ecto-Morphicon.
"We could really use your help, thunder boy," Tori's voice came from his comm.
"I'm on my way," he promised, as he summoned his zord. It soared over him and he ascended into the cockpit to join the fight...
