A/N: Just to be on the safe side, this chapter and chapters 10, 11 and 12 talk about rape. It's not really detailed but I do talk about it, so I just want to warn you just in case it might be a trigger for some of you out there.

Chapter Eight

"Do you even know if she likes sports?" Mark says frantically behind Callie as she enters the break room on the peds floor.

"Hey Arizona," Callie says from the doorway as she ignores her friend.

I just give her smile her before I start to open my mouth.

"Hold that thought, Robbins." Mark raises his hand to me before he grabs Callie by the arm and drags her outside of the break room. "You can't be serious right now," Mark says to her.

I can't really hear their conversation, but at the angle they are standing at in front of the break room window makes it super easy for me to read their lips.

"One sports is our thing. We always go to the Seahawks, Mariners and Supersonic games together. Two the Seahawks are playing against their rivals the Washington Redskins and it's currently the most talked about game in the sports world, and three you don't even know if she likes sports."

I don't.

"You have two tickets to Seahawks game this weekend, 50 yard line 10 rows up. That my friend is going to be the best seat in the house, and instead of taking your best friend in the whole wide world you're taking a girl who might not like sports."

Callie looks off into the distance for a few seconds, "sounds about right." She says before she turns around to reenter the break room.

"What about bros before hoes?" Mark says trailing right behind her.

"That's what lonely depressed people say when they have had their heart broken one too many times." That is the last thing Callie says to Mark before she enters the break room where Teddy and I are currently sitting. "Hey guys," Callie says as she joins the round table where Teddy and I are sitting.

Callie takes a seat next to me while Mark sits between Callie and Teddy. "Hey," Teddy and I say in semi unison.

"So," Callie starts to play with her pen, which I have noticed is something she does when she is nervous. "My surgery with Deion Branch went well, and as a gift he gave me two tickets to his game on Sunday and I wanted to know if you wanted to go, Arizona." Callie looks over at me nervously.

"Oh, thanks Callie, but sports really isn't my. OW!" I cut myself off when I feel Teddy kick my leg.

"NO! Don't cut her off Teddy." Mark immediately jumps in. "Let her finish, you don't like sports." He says to me, "she doesn't like sports," he moves his attention over to Callie.

I look over to Callie to see that she looks somewhat defeated before her pager goes off. Without really saying anything she gets up and leaves the room. "See I told you she doesn't like sports." Mark gets up and chants right behind her as she leaves with her best friend.

"What the hell, Teddy." I say as I look over towards her.

"What hell, Teddy? It should be what the hell, Arizona." Teddy barks back. "The woman was trying to ask you out on a date, because you won't do it."

"Do what? Ask her out on a date?" I question, "Callie doesn't even like me like that."

"Are you fucking kidding me right now?" Teddy's voice is dry and monotone. "The woman has been hitting on for the past six months since she met you."

"Oh," I say to Teddy as I lean back in my seat.

"You were that oblivious?"

"I was never good with the whole flirting or picking up when someone was flirting with me." I reply.

"Callie practically sprays the room when she is flirting you, the long stares at you and only you." Teddy leans forwards and looks me in the eye. "Then gentle and long touching," Teddy's index finger gently slides up and down my forearm. "And Yang told me the other day she rearranges the ortho schedule just so she can be the one that works with you when you need an ortho consult."

"So I just pretty much turned her down on a date a few minutes ago." I say as I slowly put the pieces together.

Teddy just shakes her head yes, slowly.

"Right, right," I say as I get up from my seat getting ready to go on the hunt for Callie. "Hey Teddy," I say from the doorway. "Whose Deion Branch?"

Teddy drops her head and gives out a loud sigh, "sit back down, Robbins."

I don't say anything and just do as I'm told. For the next thirty minutes Teddy takes the time to tell me about Seattle's professional football team, the Seattle Seahawks.

After my brief football lesson with Teddy I go on the hunt for Callie. I search up and down the hospital looking for her when I find her in the maternity ward leaving a room with Mark and one of my new doctors, Dr. Montgomery. Well Dr. Montgomery isn't really new from what I hear; she used to work here before she moved to L.A. for a little while, and for some reason she came back. I'm still in charge of the maternity ward but her unique talent in neonatal surgery gives her a lot of room to talk and act like she is in charge of the maternity ward.

I straighten my lab coat before I walk up to the three of them as they stand by the nurse's station. Callie has her back turned towards me but Addison giving her a slight head nod causes her to turn around.

"Hey Arizona," Callie's face lights up when she sees me.

"Hey…you," I try my best to flirt but I'm not really good at it. Who am I kidding I'm not good at it at all. "I wanted to apologize about earlier. I have a lot on my plate, but if the ticket is still available I would love to go to the game with you."

Callie's grin grows even wider when I accept her date offer. "It's still available," Callie says to me.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Mark yells in the background. "She doesn't like or know sports."

"I know sports," I turn my attention over Callie's right shoulder. "Touchdowns are in football, home runs are in baseball, slap shots are in hockey, slam dunks are in basketball, and lesbians are in softball." I shoot him a wink with a grin.

"Whose Deion Branch?" Mark shoots back at me.

"He's the wide receiver for the Seahawks, Seattle's football team. He had a serve hip pointer injury that could have ended his career but the amazing Dr. Torres was able to fix it so he could play for another three seasons at most." I shoot Mark a playful smile. "And before you ask they are playing against the Washington Redskins which is one of theirs rivals next to the Oakland Raiders. The reason why this game is so big is because the winner of this game determines who gets a wild card sport for the playoffs."

At the time Mark was leaning against the nurse's station, but after my brief speech about Deion Branch and football he just gets up and turns around to walk off the floor. I just smile at him before I look over towards Addison who gives me a sly smirk before she chases after Mark.

Callie turns her head briefly to see her friends leave before she looks over towards me. "Kickoff is at 7:30, so I'll be at your apartment around 4 because it is a bit of a commute since I don't have a car."

"We can take mine, if you like." I suggest.

"You don't mind?"

"Not at all," I say with smile.

"Great, then I'll see you at 4 still because I like to get their early."

"4 it is," I say as back away slowly leaving the floor…

"That will be 4 dollars, Dr. Robbins." The casher says to me breaking me from my thoughts.

I just smile at the woman before I swipe my card and take my lunch to far left side of the cafeteria. It's been 7 days, 16 hours, 24 minutes, and I know the seconds but won't say because it's always changing, since Callie left me. I caught a glance of the kids as I pass by the daycare on the main floor of the hospital. I was able to see Sofia yesterday because she didn't have school; they were too busy playing with the other kids to notice me. I can't help but wonder what Callie told them when they asked why I haven't been home. Since Teddy is still on her honeymoon, I have been somewhat of a loner here at the hospital. Alex and Jo along with Nurse Lauren and Nurse Katie have tried to get me to eat lunch with them but I refuse. Everybody knows that Callie and I split up, but they don't know why, which I think is worst then people actually knowing the reason behind why she left me. Rumors are flying around about how I cheated on her. I've heard that we broke up because we are always working and have just grown a part, and my favorite rumor, the one where I have second family on the side. Why can't people just mind their own business? Fun random fact, it is said that a doctors poor hand writing is the main cause of death for over 7,000 patients a year, I believe that at this hospital the main cause of death is staff not minding their own fucking business. Worry about your patients, not about the fact that Callie wants nothing to do with me after she found out who I really was.

It turns out that the ambulance brought Lauren Boswell here after I phoned the police. Mark and Callie are upset with the way the treated her when she was here because as it turns out David pretty much beat and raped her for 4 weeks that she was missing. He was about to kill her, but I killed him first. Either Lauren is keeping me a secret or she doesn't remember because she hasn't said a word to anybody about me being there with her for a few minutes before the police arrived.

I take my usual sit in a corner booth far away from the world in the cafeteria; however, Callie's thunderous laugh gets my attention. I look over to see Callie sitting with Mark, Lexie, Meredith, Owen, Derek and Cristina. Callie, Mark and Lexie all have a bag lunch because from what I hear Sofia wants to be a big girl and make everyone's lunch for them, so for the past few days Sofia has made lunch for Callie, Mark and Lexie she even drew their names and small pictures on their bags for them. I know she's made one for me, and I know Callie just throws it away and I'm a little jealous because I would rather eat my daughter's bag lunch over this meal any day.

"Hey, can I sit with you?" A shy weak voice says.

I look up to see Lauren standing right at end of my table. I shake my head yes, as I move some stuff out of the way. I have a booth against the wall and when I slide my tray closer to me and move my lab coat she sits right across from me.

Lauren has a walking cane because she fractured her hip and sprained her ankle, and Callie was able to fix both with no problem. Mark and Jackson took care of the deep cuts on her face and body, while Derek and Lexie fixed her fractured skull and subdural hematoma and finally Bailey and Meredith fixed her GI bleed and the hemorrhage around her stomach. The surgeons here at Seattle Grace don't play, because she has only been here for about a week and Laruen is slowly walking and talking like nothing ever happened.

"I wanted to thank you for saving my life," Lauren pauses and tries to give me a smile. She winches in pain after a few seconds. "You don't have to worry about me, I won't tell anybody about what you did to David, but-"

Oh god here we go, Lauren is going to make me regret saving her by blackmailing me with some ridiculous request like Polly Preston. Lauren doesn't get the chance to finish because Callie is now standing at the head of our table.

Callie just glares at me before she turns her attention over towards Lauren. "Hey, Lauren how are you feeling?" Callie asks.

"Better, I might get to leave later on this afternoon if my test results come back negative." She says with smile, before winching in pain again.

"Well that's good, I'll check chart after my afternoon surgery but that isn't why I came over here. I came over here because of this one." The last part of her statement is more of hiss as she looks over towards me. "You shouldn't hang around this one for long because she is nothing but a liar and if you get close enough she will hurt you."

"Seriously?" I say to Callie. "What are you, fucking 5?"

"Oh don't-"

"You have surgery right now?" I cutoff as I give her a sly bitchy smile. "You should worry about your job and not my life because you have made it pretty clear that you don't care about me."

Callie just glares at me before she storms out of the cafeteria.

Lauren and I just watch until Callie is out of view before we turn our attention back to each other.

"So I was right, there is trouble in paradise." Lauren says with a faint smile as she takes a few of my French fries.

"I guess you could say that our ship has sailed," I pause for a brief moment, "and sank." I take a bite from one of my chicken tenders as I look at her.

"I'm sorry to hear that. She doesn't know what she's missing."

"Trust me, she knows." I say with a quick head nod.

"Well that's a shame that she can't accept you for who really you are."

I just shrug at her as we both continue to eat my lunch together. "Not really, she's human. She's a normal human being that knows the difference between right and wrong. It's my fault for letting her get as close as she did to me. I should have broken up with her when things became serious between us, but I always wanted to be normal and when I got my wish to finally be normal I found out it wasn't what it was cracked up be."

Lauren just shakes her head knowingly at me. "My dad was the CEO of General Motors and now is on their board of trustees. He loved cars just as much as he loved his family. I remember when I was 16 he was taking me car shopping. Before we walked onto the first lot he looked at me and said 'Lauren you are lucky enough to get whatever car you want, from right now all the way until my death I will always buy you whatever car you want. But I have to warn you, you should never buy your dream car, because it will always let you down.'"

I just shake my head at her because I understand what her father was trying to say to her.

"I saw for a brief second, before your wife came over here, the nervous look on your face and I wanted you to know that I'm being serious about not telling anyone, and I'm not going to blackmail you to keep my mouth shut." Lauren pauses for a moment. "I saw how you killed David. You've done if before I know that. That's what you're hiding, but I thought I should tell you that David wasn't the only one who raped and beat me." We are silent again before Laruen starts to talk again. "One of the men had short blonde hair, the other had short black hair with a very heavy beard, and the third man had long brown hair with a little bit of facial hair. I don't remember the names and that is best I can do at describing them, but if I saw a picture I would be able to identify them."

"So you want me find and kill them for you?" I say quietly as I put the pieces together.

"Yeah, but I want to be there with you when you do it." Lauren says before she looks down at her hands.

What to say no, because having her tag along will slow me down and double my chances of getting caught but that's not what comes out of my mouth. "You think you can stomach something like that?"

"After what those bastards did me, I could stomach killing them myself, but I don't know how to go about doing it. But I know you do." Lauren pauses and looks over towards me with wide pleading eyes, "please, help me."

I just shrug at her, "I'll kill them for you, but I need to think about if I want you to join or not."

"Thank you, Arizona." Lauren says with the best smile she can muster.

We eat the rest of my lunch in a comfortable silence before she goes back to her hospital room and I go back up to the Peds floor. I have two surgeries one with Alex and one with Jo, like usual the one with Jo takes longer than necessary, but since I have a lot on my plate surgery is always a great escape from the outside world.

When 6 o'clock rolls around I find myself getting changed and going out of my way to the pass the daycare so I can get another glance at my kids. When I pass the daycare I quickly walk pass because I see Callie and another women picking up our kids. The woman had her back towards me so I don't know who it was, but I know she was with Callie because she was holding my daughter, Jackie, and Jackie did not look too pleased to be held by that bitch, whoever she is.

When I get to front of hospital I'm greeted with a cool rush of air. I continue to walk down the entrance until I see Lauren standing by the curb in a Seattle Seahawks hoodie with light blue jeans…

This is stupid, four 15 minutes quarters my ass. One minute in the football world is like 5 fucking hours. The stadium is an outdoor stadium and it's fucking freezing outside. Normally I would suck it up if it was cold outside if I was getting rewarded, but I'm not. I don't get kill anyone at the end of this game, so why for the love of God did I say yes to this?

"I got us hot chocolate and spicy nachos to warm us up." Callie says as she hands me a cup of hot chocolate.

"Thanks," I say with a smile as I take the cup from her hand.

"So honestly," Callie starts out as she sets her cup down by her feet. "How much do you really know about football?"

"Enough to get me though the last 20 hours of this game." I say as I take a nacho from her plate. Callie lets out a chuckle before she grabs a chip as well, "but real talk. I know that there is some tackling that goes on followed by some throwing of a ball and then there is some running and finally you can't forget the excessive dancing in that colored rectangle by that yellow pole."

"Oh my God you are so adorable," Callie says under her breath…

"Hey" Lauren says to me as she brings me out of memory.

"Hey," I say back. "What are you doing out here?"

"Waiting for my cab, so I can go to my hotel."

"No bags or anything?" I question as I look around her to see that she is just standing there supporting herself with her walking cane as she shakes because it is cold outside.

"No, David destroyed everything I had when he kidnapped me. Thanks." Lauren says to me as I remove my jacket and wrap it around her to warm her up. "The police were kind enough to put me up in a hotel until I can reopen my credit cards and bank account."

I just shake my head as I listen to her talk. "You can stay with me if you want," we both just look at each other for a moment. "I'm living on my boat, it has indoor plumbing, along with a heating and cooling system and I have 5 bedrooms. Sometimes I forget I'm living on a boat until I open the door to leave my haul." We both give a small chuckle before I continue. "I know you've got to be scared, but I won't charge you anything if you stay with me and be both know my secret so I think it's pretty safe to say you'll be safe with me as well."

"What about your wife, I still get the feeling that she doesn't like me very much. I mean I did hit on you hardcore a few weeks ago." Lauren gives me a small smile.

"My wife can bite me and then she can kiss your ass." I say to Lauren, "you were kidnapped against your will and then you were raped and beaten. If she can't see why I'm offering you a place to stay until you figure out what's going on with this case or your life then I'm not the monster in the relationship, she is."

We are quiet for a few minutes, "thanks Arizona. I would love to stay with you for the rest of my time in Seattle."

We smile at each other for a moment, "come on let's get you out of this cold." I say as I wrap my arm around her as I help her walk to my car.

"How are you doing this? It's fucking freezing and you are wearing a light sweater and no jacket."

"Well when you have a hobby like mine, you learn how to adapt to your surroundings."

"Oh," Laruen says to me as I open the passenger side door for her.

It takes us a few minutes to get her in the car, because I have a crossover SUV so it's slightly raised and harder for her to climb into. "Consider that lesson one."

Lauren's head snaps over towards me, "You mean?" Lauren trails off.

"Yeah, you can come with me when I kill your three mystery men." I say as I shake my head.

"Thank you so much, Arizona." Lauren says with a smile as I close the door and climb into the driver's seat.

The drive home is somewhat quiet as we listen to radio. I should be for nervous about bring Lauren with me on my kills, but for some reason I'm not. I don't know why but I think she will be able to help me in some way, maybe because she spent about four weeks with the men while they had their way with her so she somewhat knows them and she can help me track them down faster before the police figure out what's going on.

After spending 40 minutes in traffic we find ourselves at my marina and walking on to my boat.

"Arizona," Lauren says as she looks around. "This isn't a boat, it's a yacht."

I just shrug at her "tomato, tomahto," I say before I unlock the door to my haul and show her where she will be staying.

Her bedroom isn't as big as mine; she has nice queen size bed with a night stand on either side of bed. The sheets are clean, and she has a small window to the left the bed that gives her a nice view of the Puget Sound. She also has a 40 inch flat screen TV, which since last week, has digital cable and a DVR box. Underneath the TV is a dresser that she can use for clothes when she goes out to buy some.

I show her the other rooms on my boat before we walk into the kitchen. She sits at the table while I open the fridge. "I can make, Chicken, Steak, or Beef." I say as I look at the contents of my fridge.

"Mmm, Steak sounds good right now. With garlic mashed potatoes, corn and asparagus." Lauren somewhat moans.

I look in fridge and in my pantry. "Steak check, corn check, mashed potatoes and garlic powder check, and asparagus check. Looks like I can make your dinner." I say with a smile.

Using my George Forman grill I make us dinner and just like the second half of our lunch we eat in silence. After dinner I clean the table and sink while she just sits at the table taking in her surroundings more. "This is really nice, Arizona." Lauren says to me as I take a seat right next her with my shoulder bag now resting on the table.

I look around for a brief a seconds before I look back at her. "Your dad was a car person, mine was boat person. His views on boats kind of rubbed off on my brother and me over the past few years."

Lauren just shakes her head before silence falls between us again. I reach over towards my bag and start to pull out an orange filing folder. "With you being discovered alive and now roaming the streets of Seattle, if you want to get your three mystery men we have to work fast." I glance over to Lauren and I just see her giving me a blank stare. "You're alive and you've clearly seen their faces and heard their voice which makes you very powerful in their eyes. They don't know what you're going say or do. So we have to find them before they go into hiding, if they haven't already."

"Maybe we can drive by the house where they held me, there was always someone there to make sure I didn't escape. Maybe someone is there now." Lauren says to me.

I don't say anything back as I open my folder and show her a newspaper clipping from three days ago. Lauren takes the clipping and slowly reads the article. Since she still trying to get her brain functions back to 100%, and according to Derek it's at 70%, it takes her 15 minutes to read the article. "So the police might get them before us? Because the arson investigator will figure out who set the fire and it will somehow lead back to them?" Lauren looks up over to me from the article.

I take a few minutes to think about her logic, "maybe," I shrug, "but not likely. Whoever set that house on fire is pro and thought this through."

Lauren looks at me with slight confusion, "I don't understand."

"See here," I point to one of the sentences into the middle of article, "the police believe that it was a homeless man that started the fire." I look up from the article and over towards Lauren, "Lower Queen Anne isn't the greatest area in Seattle, it has a lot of lower class housing. The houses are smaller and closer together, majority of the homes in Lower Queen Anne are abandon and homeless people like to stay in these houses for shelter in the winter because let's face it Seattle can get pretty cold. When the homeless people get into these houses they will light fires to keep warm, but they usually fall asleep after they light the fires and the fire gets out of control and starts to burn the house down. Since the houses are close together the fire can easily go from one house to the next with no problem."

Lauren sinks down in her chair a little bit, "so that's it, the police are going to let it go because they think a homeless person started a fire a few houses down the street which led to their house burning down?" Lauren pauses for a moment, "what do we do? Without that house I don't know how we are going to find them" Lauren looks up to me defeated. "It's already bad enough when the police say that there is nothing they can do about the other three men because they don't have any evidence of them being in the house or…" Lauren's voices starts to crack and she starts to cry. "or them being on or in me. They are just giving up and not even trying."

I slide over closer to the Lauren and wrap my arm around her and start to comfort her as she buries her face in the crook of neck. "The police told me that they used condoms so they can't get any DNA evidence and when they were finished with me for the night they sprayed with a hose, so no fingerprints and no DNA," Lauren continues to cry for another few minutes after she is done talking.

I don't say anything as I continue to her hold her while cries. It's about 15 minutes later when she finally calms down. "I know I'm not a police officer and I don't have their resources, but I do know how to find people when I want to," I say as I pull out a picture from my shoulder bag. I show her a picture of a man with short blonde hair and blue eyes, just like the man she described at lunch.

Lauren lets out a gasp when she looks at the picture, "how did you find him so fast?" she grabs the picture as she wipes away a few tears.

"A few days ago when I was picking my daughter from school, I saw that the boy David brought to the hospital run out of my daughter's school and go running into the arms of another man who wasn't David. I wrote down the license plate number and found that the real father of the boy was James Kimborrow, and he has a twin brother, Chris." I point the man in the picture that Lauren is holding. "Chris is in the Coast Guard and is stationed at Distract 13 on Second Ave here in Seattle."

"So what do we do now?"

"We stalk him, learn his habits, what he likes do, where he likes go, and more importantly when is he going to be alone." I pause briefly, "when he is all alone, is when we are going strike. We are going to knock him out and bring him somewhere to kill him."

"Where?" Lauren questions.

"How about the basement where they…" I pause again, not knowing how to put my words, "you know."

"Where they tortured me?"

"Is that ok with you?"

Lauren thinks for a few minutes, "yeah, I'm ok with that. When do we start?"

"Well since I have a half day tomorrow, how about before I go into work?"

Lauren shakes her head and smiles at me. We spend another 20 minutes talking, well mainly me just teaching Lauren the art in stalking. After we get done talking we call it a night and go to our separate rooms.

With Callie and the kids gone I still find it hard to sleep. It takes me a good hour or two to fully fall asleep and when I do fall asleep it's a very light sleep. My eyes are closed for not more than hour when I start here moaning and groaning from Lauren's room. So I get up from my bed to check on her.

"Mmmm, don't," I hear the closer I get to her bedroom. "No, stop!" she says a little louder and I hear the sheets start to rustle. Her door is about a two feet away from me when I hear her let out scream, "Somebody help, please don't!"

Her scream makes my heart race, and I quickly run the two feet that separate us. Without hesitation or really thinking I open the door, I know she's dreaming, but it sounds real. It sounds like someone is in there hurting her. When I enter her room I see that she alone and she is fighting with her sheets.

"Lauren, wake up!" I say as I rush to her side. I manage duck out of the way of a flying fist; it only missed my cheek by an inch or two. "Lauren!" I yell as I grab both her wrist, but that doesn't stop her from fighting. With her arms held down she moves on to kicking her legs. Her right leg connects with my stomach, and I let out a low groan, "Lauren!" I scream at her and I give her one quick violent shake, which does the trick because she stops moving and opens her eyes.

When she opens her eyes her face is tense and she is scared, but as she looks around the room she starts to relax when she realizes that it was dream and she is safe on my boat. While she is looking around her room I can't help but look at her. She is completely naked in my guest bed, and her body is glistening in the moonlight from the sweat she worked up in her dream. The sheets are bunched, and almost strategically placed, covering up her sex. Even though she is sitting down I can see she has little bit of abs, something that almost every surgeon has. Standing in the OR for hours on end constantly working can build up a few of your muscles you never thought you would be using. As my eyes slowly rack up her stomach I feel my mouth start to go dry, and my hearts starts to race as the lower part of her breast comes into my view.

It's almost as if my mind and body know that it is wrong for me to be checking her out even if Callie and I aren't together at the moment. When the lower part of her breast comes into my view my eyes instantly skip them, and my mind choosing not to remember what they looked like in the brief second they were in my view. I scan up to her eyes to see that she is more relaxed, but she is still breathing heavy.

"Sorry, I guess I should have told you that I have been having a lot of nightmare lately." Lauren says as she looks down at her hands.

"You have nothing to be sorry about," I sit on the bed facing her. "I would be worried if you weren't having nightmares about what happened."

Lauren gives me a weak smile and shakes her head, "I know this going to sound silly, but is there any way I could sleep you, in your bed?"

"Yeah, if that is what you want, than I have no problem with that." I say to her.

"Thanks," she says as we both get up from the bed.

Lauren takes sheet that is wrapped around her lower body and covers the rest of her body before she follows me into my room. "I guess I should have realized that you don't really have clothes." I say as I walk over to my dresser while she sits on my bed. "I'm sorry, we look like we are the same size." I hand her a pair Seattle Seahawks sweatpants and a grey t-shirt.

"Thanks," she says as she grabs the clothes and turns so her back is face me as she gets dress.

Once again I feel my eyes racking over her body as she starts to get dress, my mind and body ignore her ass, but I can't help it when I look at her back. Her back is well defined as well, and I bet it is also from the countless amount of hours she spends in the OR. I only say this because one look at Lauren and you can tell she doesn't really work out on her free time, maybe she likes to run or do yoga, but I don't see her actually lifting weights or anything.

After Lauren is changed she moves to get under my covers. Lauren is on right side of bed and I'm on the left side. My side is closer to the door, so that should help her relax a little bit more knowing that someone has to go through me before they can get to her. For the remainder of night Lauren sleeps on her side of the bed and I sleep on mine. I hear mumble a few times during her sleep but nothing like early. Just like before it takes me an hour before I fall into a light sleep.

We manage to sleep for a few hours, both of us staying on our side of the bed. At 6 o'clock my internal clock goes off because back at home that was went the morning craziness started, but when I wake up there is no craziness just sound of Puget Sound around me. I look over to see Lauren sound asleep so I quietly get out of bed and make breakfast. I made waffles and bacon, right as I'm done cooking I see Lauren standing in the doorway sleepy looking around.

"Smells good," she says with a smile.

I just smile back and set the food on the table and we eat in a comfortable silence. After breakfast we clean the kitchen and get ready for the day.

"What are we doing here?" Lauren questions when I park the car outside of Northgate Mall.

"I'm going to buy you some clothes because David, Chris and our other two mystery men destroyed all of yours." I say as I turn off the car.

"Arizona, I can't let you do that." Lauren says to me with a confused look.

"Good thing I don't care what you think. I'm buying you clothes whether you like or not. I'm being nice by bring you with me because according so to some people." Addison and Callie, "I don't have a great fashion sense."

"Fine, but I'm paying you back when I get my bank account back." Lauren says as she gets out of the car.

"Fine by me," we both smile at each other as we walk into the mall.

4 hours, 6 stores, 1 trip to Starbucks and lunch at Panda Express, I've bought Lauren enough clothes to last her for the next three weeks.

"Do you want me to drive to the hospital and then leave you my car just in case you need it for something?" I ask as I start to drive out of the mall parking lot.

"No," Lauren shakes her head. "I think I'll be ok on your boat while you're gone. Food, TV and bed is all I need really."

"Ok," I say not really putting up an argument.

I drive back to the marina and drop off Lauren before I go to work. Just like always I take the long way to the attending lounge so I can see my kids for a brief second. When I look in the daycare I see all three of them in there with Callie and same dark haired woman from yesterday. Callie and this woman are trying to get the kids to play, but all three of them are avoiding them like the black plague. I give a heavy sigh as I just look at the mystery woman with Callie, she has light green scrubs on, which means she's a nurse. Once I round the corner my view of my wife, kids, and some dumb bitch are gone.

When I get changed and go up the peds floor I see Alex sitting at the nurse's station with his feet up on the table zoning out. "Slow day?" I say as I walk up to him.

"Knock on wood," Alex knocks on his head three times. I never understood that, people say knock on wood and then they knock on their heads, is their head made out of wood?

"Nice, I have a question to ask you."

"Shoot,"

"You were in the ortho wing yesterday working with Callie right?" Alex just shakes his head confirming my answer. "Was she hanging around a nurse with short dark brown wavy hair, pale complexion like a vampire?"

For a hot second Alex's face drops and there is uncertainty in his eyes.

"I've been your mentor and friend for the past 8 years, Alex. I know how to read you like an open book. Spill it."

Alex just sighs at me and removes his feet from the table and sits up straight. "Her name is Colleen, she's an ortho nurse. For the past few days Callie and Colleen have been hooking up both inside and outside of the hospital, but now Colleen wants to be more than just a booty call for Callie. She's been trying to pry herself into Callie and your kid's life."

I just stand there thinking to myself for a little bit, "how did you find out all of this in just one day?"

"Nurse Katie, she's an ortho nurse as well and she is best friends with Nurse Lauren. Nurse Lauren was with me when I was in ortho. I saw Callie and Colleen exit one of the on call rooms and I just started asking questions, and Katie started answering." Alex says with a slight shrug.

"Well since it's a slow day, I'm going to do rounds and then play with kids in daycare." I say to Alex before I grab my tablet and walk away.

To say that I'm crushed because Callie moved on so quickly is a huge understatement. I would have at least given her about 2 months before she started sleeping with someone else, not 1 week. Is that a good or bad thing? Is she sleeping with Colleen to keep herself from thinking about me?

Rounds are able to take my mind of Callie and Colleen, and even the trauma page I get from Hunt helps as well. A 16 year old kid was texting a driving and crash into the tree. He has a lot of internal bleeding along with some spinal injuries. The injuries aren't too severe so I don't need Derek or Lexie's help just yet. The surgery is with Jo so it takes a while, which I'm ok with because it keeps me focused on this dumbass rather than my wife and sex friend.

After a successful surgery with Jo, I find myself downstairs on the first floor about to walk into the daycare center. I think if Callie gets to have sex with some dumb bitch then I should be able to play with my kids without her calling the police. I only take two steps in the daycare center when I'm bombard by my three tiny humans.

"Mommy!" the three yell in unison as they stop what they are doing before they come running over to me.

Sofia was playing with Zola but stopped when she saw me, Jackie was coloring with two other girls and William was playing with a few other boys in the corner.

I drop down to my knees as all three of them give me hug. "Baby girl, little man, and my precious princess." I say to all three of them.

"We miss you mommy," Sofia says to me, which breaks my heart a little bit. "When are you coming home?"

"I don't know, I've been a little busy at work." I say to her.

"Please come home soon, because we don't like mama's new friend." Sofia says.

"Pwease," William says as he climbs on my knee to sit down.

"How about this, I'll play with you guys until I have leave, how does that sound?" I don't know why asked that question because the minute I said play their faces lit up.

I stay for snack time, and we end up coloring for a little while before we start goofing around in the far corner of the room. Like usual the kids turn me into their own personal jungle gym as we start to rough house.

"Sofia, Jackie, William," I hear Callie's soft motherly voice say from the doorway.

The four of us stop playing and just look over towards the doorway. I see Callie and what I can only presume is Colleen standing right behind her. Callie and I make brief eye contact and for a quick second I see a loving emotion towards me before it turns to hate and anger.

"It's time to go home," Callie says as she reaches out her hand.

"NO!" Jackie screams before she pouts, crosses her arms and stomps her foot on the ground. Sofia refuses to get up off my lap, and William is hiding behind my back occasionally peeking over my left shoulder.

"Jackie," Callie says in stern voice. "We need to get to Gloria's house, because mama has to leave for the weekend."

I just give a knowing smile when she says she going away this weekend. Mark, Lexie, Callie and I had planned to spend the weekend at Salish Lodge & Spa; it would make sense because I have tomorrow, Sunday and Monday off. Looks like Callie is going and it looks like she gave my spot to Colleen.

"Can't we stay with mommy?" Sofia asks.

"No," Callie says coldly before she walks towards us.

She tries to pick up Jackie but Jackie starts to scream and have fit.

"Jackie, you stop that right now." Colleen demands as she walks up to Callie's side.

Who fuck is this bitch? She has no right to tell my daughter what she can and can't do. I just look over at Colleen for a brief second. Say something again and I'll snap your neck.

"Come on you three it's time to go home," I say as I pick Sofia up who somehow maneuvers so she is holding on to my back like a piggyback ride. I pick up Jackie and hold her on my left side and I pick up William by the hem of his pants. All three pouting kids are now giggling and laughing as I walk out of the hospital. "Where did you park," I say to Callie when get to the employee parking lot.

Callie just points to the right before she leads the way to her car with Colleen close behind.

"I don't think you should be holding your son like that," Colleen points to a giggling William.

I look down at him briefly and he has his arms out like he's flying, "I think he'll be ok," I say coldly back.

Once we get to Callie's car I place each kid in their seat Sofia sits in middle with William and Jackie on either side of her. "You behave for your mama while I'm gone." I say as I give each of them a kiss on the forehead. "I'll see you soon, I promise."

When I close the door is when I notice Callie is already in the driver's seat and Colleen is the passenger seat. Callie starts the car and drives off, and I'm left standing there waving goodbye to my kids.

After they are out of site, I go back inside and do rounds one last time before I call it an evening as well. The traffic is light so I get home in about 20 minutes.

As I walk to my boat I get an uneasy feeling for some reason and I can't describe it. I step on my boat and take the time to walk around the deck, nothing seems out place until I go the door that leads to the haul. The door is open a little bit, I'm about to ride it off because I know Lauren is here and she might have left the door open by mistake. It's getting to be winter soon, and for some reason my haul door always seems to act up during the winter not closing properly. I always put it on my list of things to fix but I never found the time. I guess now that Callie wants nothing to do with and with my best friend still on her honeymoon I could find time sometime next week to the fix the door.

A loud scream followed by a loud bang breaks me from my thoughts. The screams are is from a female and instantly I think of Lauren. I rush through the front door right as another scream happens. It's coming from the left where my other four bedrooms are. I rush to were the sounds are coming from. I make to the last room on the left side of the hallway and burst through the door.

"What the fuck!" I yell when I look at the current scene in front of him.

The two dock workers, Brandon, a tall kid in his early twenty with dark brown hair, brown eyes and a very toned and muscular body, Kelsey, a young women in her early twenty with long wavy dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and a toned with a slight sun kiss body are having sex in my guest bedroom. Something they have been caught doing multiple times on other peoples' boats.

"Oh my god, Mrs. Robbins I can explain." Brandon says as he and Kelsey break apart.

"How about you explain your ass off my fucking boat," I yell.

The two don't say anything as they grab their clothes trying to put them on as they run off my boat.

"It won't happen again," Brandon says as he turns around to face me. "Just please don't tell anyone, I can't afford to lose another job."

By this time Brandon is wearing his pants on the other side of the haul door. I don't say anything to him as I close the door in his face and lock it. After I close the door I just sigh to myself before I give a slight chuckle, fucking kids. I'm about to walk back to the room and change the sheets when I hear crying coming from the master bedroom, Lauren.

I rush to the bedroom to see Lauren on the floor curled up in the fetal position crying on her side of the bed. Her eyes are slammed shut and her hands are covering her ears. Brandon and Kelsey having sex must have set something off inside of her. I kneel down in front of her and grab her arms. When I try to lower them she fights against me, "it's me Lauren." I say to her trying to get her to relax.

When she hears my voice her tense body starts to relax a little bit. She slowly lifts up her head and I see the fear and terror in her eyes. She was definitely reliving the weeks when she was kidnapped and raped. Before I can say anything else to her she lunges into my arms before she starts to break down and cry. I spend 20 minutes trying to calm her down, when she cries herself to sleep is when she finally calms down. I pick her up and put under the covers on her side of the bed before I close the door.

I walk back to the guest room and change my sheets before putting the dirty ones in my supply closet with the rest of my dirty clothes. I need to add a washer and dryer to my boat next because I really don't want to waste a day off doing laundry in a Laundromat. I just walk into the kitchen when I hear a knock at my door. I walk to door and open it, before I can even register who is at the door, my three tiny humans and dog bombard me.

"Mommy," I hear before the three of me squeeze my legs hugging them.

"My three little monsters," I say as I lean down to greet my kids.

"I figured the kids could stay with you as long as Gloria is here with them." Callie says in low monotone voice with little to no emotion.

I get up and step aside to allow Gloria and kids to enter the boat. William, Jackie and Sofia takeoff running to the right side of the boat to explore it, with Gloria and Roxie right behind them.

"Thanks," I say giving Callie my full attention.

Callie just shakes her head before she turns around to leave. "I should get going; I don't want to keep Mark and Lexie waiting."

"Callie," I say as I try to grab her arm.

"Don't," Callie manages to side step my grab. She is looking down at the ground and refuses to make eye contact with me. Even though she is not looking at me I can see the internal fight she is having with herself. The side of her that loves me is waging battle with the side of her that hates me at the moment. After a few seconds of watching this fight, the side of her that hates me wins, and without saying another word Callie walks off the boat and she doesn't even glance back at me.

I try my best to compose myself before I enter the haul. When I enter the boat I see the kids and Gloria sitting on the floor in the kitchen. Before I say anything to them Roxie comes up to me and jumps up on my leg wanting attention. "Hey girl," I say as I bend down and start to play with her a little bit.

"Hey Gloria, how much is my wife paying you?" I ask the young nanny.

Gloria is about 5'8 with long brown hair that goes just past her shoulder blade. She has a round face and small nose. Her body is a little on the curvy side just like Callie and she is studying at the University of Seattle, Computer Engineering I think.

"$250 a day, until Sunday evening, that is when they will be back." For some reason Gloria has a nervous look on her face like she is in trouble.

"You want to make double?"

Gloria's eyes get wide and she slightly shakes her head yes.

"Get lost until Sunday morning. I think I can handle these three little monsters until Sunday." I say to Gloria.

"What about your wife, Mrs. Robbins?"

"I know how to keep a secret, do you do?" Gloria shakes her head yes, "then get lost." I say as I open the door.

"Thank you Mrs. Robbins," Gloria says as she leaves my boat.

I just smile at her before I close the door and join my kids on the floor. Spending the weekend with my kids beats going to a spa any day. Maybe Callie letting me see my kids on the weekend is the first step of her accepting who I really am.
