From I Am An Apple: "Your one-shots are awesome ! Would you mind writing an one-shot about Stan and the Author, where the Author encountered bill, a supernatural phenomenon that gave him a great deal of knowledge and he was so happy with those knowlegde, didn't even notice that Stan was alone ? It's kinda like "Abaconings".."

A Stan and his brother version of "Abaconings"? Why not?

That Sinking Feeling

He was in the lab again. Probably hanging out with his new pal the omnipotent demon.

Stanford definitely wasn't mad. He wasn't jealous of the very little attention his own brother was giving him, the dork who had been fairly close him for most of his life.

He made himself another cup of coffee because he wasn't mad. No, he wasn't. He just was tired, that's all.

The man may also have wanted to sock that annoying triangle in the eye. Mostly because he was annoying - and he sometimes popped into Stan's dreams to torment him for fun (not that he ever went too far, no, he couldn't alert the other that something was wrong).

And he kept taking up his nerdy brother's time.

Stanford took a long sip of his coffee. He knew that he should have been overjoyed for his brother. The guy had finally gotten what he'd been searching for: knowledge of everything there was to know about the universe. Sure, it came in the form of a chatty yellow triangle with a bowtie, but it was still knowledge.

Yet here he sat, feeling like he had been kicked out of some elite high society club.

He wasn't as good with numbers and science as his twin. He wasn't interested in universal secrets and powerful knowledge. It should've been no surprise that Stanford was passed by as if his brother had forgotten he was there too, why he would give Stan an uncomfortable smile every time he said something stupid.

Why he had been asked to go to the grocery store or the antique store to get things, which was obviously just a cover-up so that the "smarter twin" and Bill could talk.

No, he wasn't angry. He certainly wasn't. He just...

He just...

Stanford sighed. He was going to need some more coffee.

Sorry, it's a little short. But I hope you still enjoyed it!
