A/N: Yeeeaaaahhh, good news I'm now an instrument rated flight instructor...bad news the celebration that led to weekend of shenanigans caused to me forget about my update... My bad. Better late than never, enjoy.

Chapter Sixteen

"Dr. Robbins, can you hear me?"

For a brief second I open my eyes and I see a white light with a sliver pole on the right side of the light. My vision is blurry and my head is on fire like the rest of my body. Right before I close my eyes I see my paramedic, Nicole, come into my view. When my eyes are closed again I hear Nick, April's ex fiancé, in the driver seat of the ambulance. I pass out again before I can even register what he said.

"Dr. Robbins, do you know where you are?" I hear Nicole ask me.

I know I'm in an ambulance right now but I don't care. All I care about is my wife, where is she? Thinking about Callie helps me find the strength to open my eyes again. When I open them for the second time I use the rest of my strength to turn my head to my right. I feel my breathing start to get heavy when I see that Nicole is the only person on my right side and she's not paying that much attention to me as she starts my IV drip.

Where's Callie? Did help arrive too late and she was dead when they got there or is she in another ambulance. Please let the latter of my options be the right one. "Cal…lie…" I crook out. My voice is weak and there is a heavy pressure on my chest making it hard to talk as well as breathe.

"Dr. Robbins," Nicole rushes to my side when I attempt to speak.

"Where's…Cal…" My body can't handle being conscious and talking at the same time, so before I can finish my sentence I pass out again. I don't regain consciousness until I'm being wheeled into the hospital and Owen's voice starts to flood my head. "Arizona, can you hear me? Can you tell me where you are?" Owen says as I feel the bed stop in what I can only presume is one of our trauma rooms.

Hospital, I should say hospital but instead I say, "Calliope…" I get the same feeling like I did in the ambulance when I tried to talk but it's a little easier and it doesn't hurt that much. "Where's my wife?"

"I see massive tissue damage to the left ankle and it looks like her right shoulder might be broken if it's not shattered." April says ignoring my question. "Someone page Ortho."

Owen fully opens my eyes and shines that annoying light in them, "she might have a concussion so let's take her to CT to double check."

"Stop," my voice gets a little louder as I try to swat everyone's hands away from me. "I need to find my wife first."

"Arizona, you need medical attention, so I need you to lie back down." Owen says as he places one firm hand on my chest lightly pushing me back down on the bed.

"Fuck you and your medical attention, where's my wife." My voice gets stronger as I ignore the pain from my wrist and shoulder and push back against Owen and his hand.

"Arizona stop," Owen's voice starts to rise as well and he uses more force to try and push me back down.

"Get off of me!" I flat out yell at him.

"Arizona," Owen's stern voice is warning for me to calm down. I listen to him as I back down from this pointless fight.

When I lie back down on the bed I turn my head to the left and look out the doorway which was left open. Right when I look out the doorway I see my still unconscious wife being wheeled by with Derek and Lexie on either side of her stretcher. Teddy is by her feet pushing her towards the elevator, and Cristina is on top of her, attending to her chest wounds the best she can until they get to the OR. "Callie," I say as I lift my head. I push the hands that are around my body away from me one more time before I try to get up from the bed.

"God damn it, Arizona, lay back down." Owen screams as he grabs my left shoulder and pretty much slams me back on the bed. "If you don't sit still I will not hesitate to restrain you."

For everyone in the room, myself included, Owen and I stare at each other not backing down from our show down for what seem like hours. I should listen to him but I don't and in the blink of an eye I lift my head and slam it forcefully into Owen's, headbutting him. Owen lets out a small yelp before he grabs his forehead stumbling backwards away from me. At the time, there was a resident by my ankle and he is met with a nice kick to face. This causes everyone else in the room to finally back away from me as I hobble off the bed and towards the door.

I'm half way towards the door when I feel Owen's death grip around my waist. He attempts to lift me up off the ground to put me back in the bed but it doesn't work. He's dealing with serial killer that knows how to fight. For a brief second my feet leave the ground and Owen tries to turn around only failing at it when I shift my body weight towards left. My left foot is the first foot I painfully plant on the ground. I let out a small groan from the pain before I put more body weight on it and push backwards against Owen throwing him off guard. Just like my ankle, I push through the pain as I use my bad right shoulder to elbow him in the stomach. While he is still holding me he hunches over and I punch in the jaw with about 12% of my strength.

I say 12% because in the time between Henry and Addison, Teddy, made me take self-defense classes with her. Don't ask me why she would want me to go with her, but any way they measured how hard we can hit without holding back. When it was my turn I hit the bag with everything I had mainly because I was annoyed and wanted leave, and the machine measured that I punch with over 2000 pounds for force. That is correct ladies and gentlemen my punches weigh a ton and I don't feel like killing Owen so I don't use everything that I have against him.

When I hit Owen he lets out a small scream and stumbles backwards and let's go of me. I start to make way towards the door again when I feel someone kick my right leg out from under me. The sudden weight on left ankle is too much to handle so I fall to floor screaming in pain. I try to get back up but I see Bailey's hand go for my right shoulder. She grabs it with force and squeezes, and I stay down as I let out another scream. Just like Bailey, Meredith grabs my left ankle using my pain to her advantage as she and Bailey bring me back to the bed. When I get to the bed, Shane moves to my left side so he can grab and hold down the left side of my upper body while Bailey refuses to let go my broken right shoulder. Standing next to Shane is Meredith who is holding on to my left ankle with one hand and my upper thigh with another hand as she holds down my lower left side. Right across from Meredith and standing next to Bailey is Jo, and she is mimicking everything that Meredith is doing in an attempt to hold down my lower right side.

I ignore the pain as I try to find a weak spot in my new hold. After about a minute of testing the waters I find my weakest leak, Jo. I move all my force to my lower right side in an attempt to break free. "Jo, grab her right knee." Meredith says when she realizes what I'm trying to do.

Jo gives her a questioning look, "if you don't want to get kicked in the face I suggest you do it now." Meredith yells. Jo takes a deep breath before she grabs and squeezes my right knee. I let out another scream as my back aches high off the bed from the all of the pain that is too much to ignore now.

"Sorry, boss" Alex says as he appears next to Shane. I feel him inject a needle into my vein on my left arm. I don't know what he injected me with, but I do know that it's a sedative. I feel my left arm grow heavy, and it soon spreads to my chest before it goes to my right arm. The sedative courses its way down my chest into my stomach and into legs, while flowing upwards to my neck and head. Within two minutes I'm completely paralyzed and just watch calmly as I see April hand out leather restraints to Bailey, Meredith, Shane and Jo. The four of them tie me down to the bed and the last thing I remember before my eyelids got too heavy to stay open was Alex checking to make sure Jo and Shane tied me down correctly.

Bitches…

I'm not too sure about the time lapse between now and my sedative, but when I open my eyes again I see that I'm in a patient room. My ankles and wrists are still tied to the bed, however, I have a brace on left on my left wrist and I my right arm is in a sling. Leave it to Owen to MacGyver some shit together so I'm still tied down even thought my shoulder and wrist are broken. Just like my wrists, my ankles are tied down. I have brace on my left ankle and I feel the wrapping around my right knee from the metal spike.

When my ankles come into view is when I see an upset Bailey looking right at me. "Enjoy your freedom now, Dr. Robbins; because you better believe that when you return to work I'm going to make your first 3 weeks a living hell, just like what you did to me." Bailey says in a small cold tone with a blank stare.

I try to open my mouth to ask about Callie, but I can't. When I pause to examine why I can't open my mouth, I realize that they have put a bite guard around mouth. Doctors here only do that when they have a patient that bites, and I never bit anyone, did I?

"Bailey?" a shy voice says from the doorway.

Both Bailey and I look over towards the doorway to see a resident standing there scared out of her mind when she sees that I'm awake. Bailey doesn't say anything as she walks out of the room to address her scared shitless resident.

When Bailey leaves is when I realize that Meredith is the room as well. She is standing on the right side of the bed filling out my chart. Even if I could say anything I wouldn't as I just lie there staring at her.

"You had a compete shoulder separation in your acromioclavicular joint and you dislocated your shoulder at the glenohumeral joint." Meredith starts when she sees that I'm looking right at her. "You got a hairline fracture in your wrist, on that small little ball bone, the ulna, I think it's called. The bear trap that they freed you from didn't do a lot of damage. You're lucky it didn't sever your ankle. There was some slight tissue damage and that is it. Somehow the metal spike in your knee missed the bone so it was simple through and through and we fixed it with a simple suture." Meredith pauses to finish her writing her sentence before she puts my chart back at the foot of my bed. "I don't know if you remember, but you were very violent when you came in here. You broke Owen's jaw when you punched him, and the resident you kicked in the face, completely shattered his nose. I don't think I have ever seen that much blood come from someone's face." Meredith smiles hoping it will help relax me, it doesn't. All I care about is my wife.

"We thought the worst was over after we sedated you, but we were wrong. Right after you got out of your surgery on your shoulder, you headbutted a resident for laughing for at you. He deserved it if you ask me. He needed to be knocked down a peg or two. You were high on morphine and talking about how you were pissed at Minnie Mouse for eating the last of your Lucky Charms." Meredith lets out a small chuckle. "Anyway there was a nurse in the room at the time and she tried to help by trying to calm you down but you bit her which is way you have bite guard on right now. Bailey and I had to fight really hard for you because April wanted to put you in a five point restraint. You've been heavily sedated for the past three weeks. They have been using Phenobarbital and you've reached your limit so they are bringing you off of it so we don't stress your heart and give you heart attack. You managed to scare everyone away expect for me, Bailey, Owen, April, Shane, Jo and Alex. We have been doing everything when it comes to you because no intern, resident, or nurse will come near you."

I don't move as I continue to stare at Meredith. She lets out a heavy sigh, before she turns towards the door making sure the coast is clear. "She's upstairs in ICU. She had a depressed skull fracture with the bone pointing towards the brain. Lexie and Derek worked their magic and fixed it with no complications. The knife just barely missed her heart, but it managed to nick the side of it causing it to tear slightly on every heartbeat. The knife also punctured her lung causing both blood and air to get inside, but it was nothing that Teddy and Cristina couldn't fix. Even though her surgeries were successful, she still hasn't woken up and that is what everyone is worried about, and they are scared to tell you because they don't know how you will react when they tell you the news."

My gaze finally leaves Meredith and lay back on the pillow staring up at the ceiling as I feel myself start to cry. This is my fault; I pushed her out of way causing Callie to hit her head giving her the skull fracture. If she wasn't unconscious then Stark wouldn't have stabbed her and we wouldn't be in this situation.

"Come on Arizona, don't cry. We both know Callie, we both know that she is fighter and I have faith that she is going to win this fight." Meredith says trying to calm me down.

"Dr. Robbins?" a voice says from the doorway causing both Meredith and I to look over towards the doorway. There standing in the doorway is special agent Ramsey. I've seriously had enough of this man and wish he would just go away. "I would like to ask you some questions, if you up for it?"

Meredith and I look at each other and I nod my head. Without batting a lash Meredith removes my bite guard with no fear before she and special agent Ramsey trade places. "I'll be outside if you need me."

"Ok," I say in a slight whisper.

"How are you feeling?"

"I've been better," I decide to keep my answer short and sweet.

"Do you know who did this to you and your wife?"

Say it, say Dr. Robert Stark so that asshole can rot in jail for the rest of his life. "No, I didn't see his face." I lie, who am I kidding. Stark attacked my wife, I won't be happy until he lying on my table with a knife in his chest, and this veteran killer won't miss his heart. "All I saw was a dark shadow coming towards my wife. I managed to get her out of the way in time but I don't remember what happened after I pushed her out of way. Something hit me in the side of head causing me to black out."

Ramsey gives me a slight head nod before writing something in his notepad. "How did you know about house, and all of the surprises inside?"

"Callie told me that she was going there after work. I didn't know about the surprises until I tried to get into house after I heard her scream." Stark and his stupid traps, if he didn't have though traps I could have gotten to Callie sooner. The more I think about what happened, the more upset I become with Stark and with myself. "When she didn't respond to my phone calls or text messages I knew something was wrong. I took the address she gave me and typed in on my phone and went looking for her."

"Did she say she was going there with someone else?"

He knows. He knows the house belongs to Stark and that Stark is involved in this situation, but he is being a detective and not showing me all of his cards. "I don't remember." I say as I pretend to think. Sorry special agent Ramsey, I know you want Stark to help your solve rate but I saw him first. "Do you know who did this?" I question seeing how much Ramsey really knows.

"We have a suspect in mind."

I sigh inwardly when Ramsey doesn't tell me anything. He wants to make this hard for me, normally I would let it go and let him have Stark, but what Stark did to Callie is an instant one way ticket to hell paid by yours truly.

"Well if anything about that night comes to mind, please call me. I really want to find and put this suspect behind bars." Ramsey says before he leaves my room.

He doesn't know where Stark is hiding. If I had to guess I would say that he quit working here after Callie and I were emitted and he's not going to go back to that house or whatever house he was living at. Ramsey seems to be smart and I bet he has placed cops everywhere were Stark likes to hang out after work. I'm not worried about him leaving Seattle just yet. Stark is like me, he as unfinished business here and he won't leave until he successfully kills my wife.

"Good morning good morning it's a wonderful morning good morning." Teddy breaks me from my thoughts as she walks into my room. She starts to walk over towards the left side of my bed were the comfy chair is, and she grabs my chart in the process. "How are you feeling, killer." Teddy says with grin before she starts to read my chart.

"I want to see her, Ted." I say ignoring her joke. "I want to see her and I want to go downstairs and see my kids too."

Teddy doesn't say anything as she closes my chart to look at me. We stare at each other for a few minutes before Teddy sighs and breaks the silence between us. "The kids are at the apartment with Addison and Lexie. Between the four us, Addison and I, and Mark and Lexie we have been taking turns watching them. So I'll call Addison later and have her bring them by. I know they will be happy to see you, they love and miss you guys so much it makes the four of us cry every night before we go to bed. Every time they hear one of our neighbors leave or come home to their apartment they perk up thinking that you and Callie are coming to get them." We both give each other light small sad smiles at their cuteness. "Based off the stories and the damage I've seen from you since you've been here, do you think you can handle seeing your wife right now?"

"How bad is it?"

"Wires and machines." Is all she says to me.

"I have to see her, Teddy."

"Ok," Teddy says as she gets up and walks over towards my bed. "Promise me right now that you won't hit, kick, headbutt or bite anyone when we get up there?"

"I promise," I say before Teddy starts to remove my restraints.

"What are you doing?" April squeals from the doorway.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" Teddy says as she completely frees my left wrist.

"You can't do that; she is violent and dangerous…"

"And completely coherent," I cutoff.

April quickly closes her mouth and looks at me. "In my defense,"

"Shut up April," Teddy cuts off. "I know you're the head of Trauma, but until you grow some imaginary balls you are not allowed in this room."

"But,"

"Bye," Teddy's tone is a little on bitchy side.

April just huffs before she walks out of the doorway and down the hall.

"You know the only reason why she left was to find Owen right." I say when I'm completely free of my restraints.

"Reason, number 457 why nobody likes April." Teddy closes the door and window and helps me change out of my patient gown and into a pair of comfortable dark blue scrubs. Once I'm changed and in a wheelchair we go upstairs to ICU to see Callie.

When we get to the ICU I feel my heart drop a little bit. Teddy was right; Callie is covered in wires and is completely surrounded by machines. I reach forward and place my hand on the glass, "this all my fault." I whisper.

"It's not your fault, Arizona. You saved her." Teddy says as she comes around to stand on my left side.

"No I didn't. Look at her. She looks so weak and fragile. She's my world, Teddy. I can't live or function without her and this is how I treat her."

"If this is what happens when you showed up to find Callie, then I don't even want to think about what condition she would be in if you didn't get to her in time." Teddy pauses before she turns to look at me. "Yeah I know everyone is freaking out because it's been three weeks and she hasn't woken up, and nobody wants to sit you down and talk about 'options', but I know, she's going to wake up. Callie's a fighter and damn good one to."

Teddy and I stay upstairs for about 30 more minutes before we go back to my room. To our surprise we don't see Owen and April waiting for us when we return. Teddy helps me back into my bed and leaves my restraints off before she leaves for surgery.

I spend the rest of my morning watching movies on TNT. I get up and slowly make why to the bathroom before my disgusting hospital patient lunch comes. When I get out of the bathroom, I'm instantly bombarded by my three tiny humans.

"MOMMY!" The three of the scream in unison before they come running over towards me.

I slowly drop down to my knees as all three of them climb over each other giving me their best bear hug. I can't pick up all three of them like I used too, so the three of them fight to be in my arms and William being a giant momma's boy wins. For a quick second I have some discomfort but the pressure coming from my legs as both Sofia and Jackie hug me makes riding off the pain easy.

When I stand up completely I see both Addison and Lexie standing by the door with tears in their eyes as they see how happy the kids are to see me. "Where mama?" Jackie says as she lets go of my leg. "Mama?" Jackie says as she walks into the bathroom looking for Callie. "Mama?" Jackie leaves the bathroom and lowers down to look under the bed.

"Mama's still out of town, Jack." Addison says from the doorway. Jackie stands up and stands right next me as she pouts because she wants Callie.

"We were about to get lunch. Do you want to join us?" Lexie says with slight sadness.

"Sure," I say in slight whisper. Jackie looking for Callie causes my heart to break a little. What do I tell them if Callie doesn't wake up?

I try my best to push the question aside as I get into my wheel chair. The minute I sit down the twins climb into the lap, while Sofia gets behind me and in front of Addison to help push me downstairs to the cafeteria.

Lunch goes by fast mainly because I don't want it end, but that always happens doesn't it. 'Time flies when you're having fun.' When we get back to my room we spend the rest of the day watching cartoons and Disney movies. The kids start to throw a fit when visiting hours are over and they have to leave. You think that they would be more lenient to staff members, but then again the trauma department is known for being a bunch of douchebags, expect for April and Owen. Finally after a painful goodbye I spend the rest of the night in my room by myself thinking about Callie.

The routine of kids visiting me until the end of visiting hours continues for the next two weeks until I'm cleared to leave the hospital. Instead of going to Teddy and Addison's place we end up going back to my house, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Everywhere I turn I'm reminded of Callie, and Stark was right every time I look at the kids I ignore my features and traits in them and only see Callie's features and traits as they run and play with each other.

Addison and Teddy try to tag team dinner because at the end of the day nobody in our 'family' can compare to Callie and her cooking. When dinner is ready is when Mark and Lexie join us as well. Dinner is long and painful and a little on the quiet side. Even though I'm happy that Teddy, Addison, Mark and Lexie are here with me, this doesn't feel that right with Callie gone. After dinner the kids let me pick the Disney movie, so I chose my favorite movie The Princess and the Frog.

I manage to put the kids to sleep by myself, during that time Mark and Lexie leave for the night, while Teddy and Addison take the guest bedroom. I guess the kids took their toll on Addison and she passes out the minute her head hits the pillow in the guest bedroom. I get changed into my pajamas in the walk in closet but instead of wearing my usual Baltimore Ravens sweatpants and John Hopkins tank top I wear Callie's large Miami Heat t-shirt. When get out of the closet I see Teddy sitting on my bed waiting for me with the door closed. I don't say anything to her as I join her on the bed. We both sit up with our backs leaning up against the headboard.

"I know I should think positive, but she's everywhere. If this is going to be the rest of my life, I don't think I can do it. And it doesn't matter how much you try to tell me otherwise this is my fault. I knew… I knew Dr. Stark was the doctor behind the kids' death in peds and I chose to sit on it because I wanted to know the drug he was using to get the kids to hallucinate and then die. I could have found out the easy the way by putting him on my table, but didn't, and now Callie is in the hospital fighting for her life because of my mistake."

"So he went after Callie to teach you lesson?" Teddy asks as she tries to put everything together.

"No, he went after Callie because she found out what he was doing to the kids and she told me. He went after her because she was witness, and it was a bonus for him because she was my wife." I pause for a moment. "I should have killed him earlier when I had the chance. Some people need to be put down, but Callie doesn't see that."

"And she might never see that." Teddy jumps in, "Callie is an emotional woman, who cares about everyone, and I mean everyone. Even if the person has done some bad things in their life she still sees them as a human being who doesn't deserve to be put through whatever it is you do to them when you kill them."

"But their criminals."

"I know," Teddy whispers. "I guess in some twisted way that helps me sleep a little better at night, but me being a war vet and seeing the things I saw in Afghanistan it's easier for me to look the other way. Callie has been sheltered her whole life and it might take a very long time to fully get over you and your hobby."

We are quiet for a few minutes, until we hear Addison's voice in the hallway. "Theodora?" she whispers.

When we hear Addison's voice is when we both turn to look at each other. Teddy gives me a blank stare while I just give her a knowing smile. "Aww, is she the only person that can call you by your real name?" I say in mocking tone.

"Shut up," Teddy says as she gets up from the bed. Teddy opens the door and we see Addison getting ready to go downstairs but stops when the master bedroom door opens.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt." Addison says when she sees both Teddy and I in the room.

"You weren't interrupting, Addison. We are done and Teddy was about to go to sleep." I say with a light smile. "Night Theodora," I smile as she and Addison leave my room. Before Teddy leaves my room she shoots me a deadly glare.

At some point last night, William and Jackie climbed out of their cribs and climbed into my bed along with their big sister. Because when I wake up I'm surrounded by my three tiny humans. William is curled up on my chest with Jackie and Sofia curled up on either side of me. All three of them are still a sleep. I don't want to wake them so I lie there for another 30 minutes before they start to wake up on their own.

After they wake up we go downstairs to see Teddy watching TV with a cup of coffee in her hands. "Morning," Teddy says as she look over to us. I sit down in the lazy boy and not too soon after the kids climb into my lap. Sofia is the first one in my lap on the left side, followed by her sister the climber who sits on my right side. Together they reach down and help their struggling brother. That is such a Callie thing to do. "I can't cook, and everything in the fridge is bad so how about we go out to eat, my treat." Teddy says to us.

"I like the sound of that, what about you guys?" ask the kids, who nod their little heads.

We watch an hour worth of Scooby Doo before we get ready and go out for the day. For the next two weeks I stay home with either, Addison, Mark, Lexie or Teddy. Every time the kids come home they become clingy and refuse to leave my side. We all sleep in the same bed, if I have to go to the bathroom the three of them will sit outside of the door and wait until I get out before they follow me to my next destination. During my two weeks I also do some physical therapy for my arm and ankle and when I can walk and stand on my foot with no problems or pain is when I'm cleared for work. Just like Bailey promised I'm greeting with bitch work that an intern should be doing. Addison, Mark, Lexie and Teddy still come over for dinner and a movie to help with the kids but before I leave the hospital I always spend the last hour of my shift with my wife in her room.

It's been six weeks and she still hasn't woken up, and I know that Derek and Owen are looking for me, but I have been trying my best to avoid them. They both know that I spend the last hour of work with my wife and they are nice enough to give me that hour alone with her. But I can only have Alex fake an emergency, to give me enough time to leave the hospital unnoticed, so many times.

"Hey you," I whisper as I walk into Callie's room. I take my usual sit next to her on her left side. Like always I hold her hand and give her a light kiss on the back of it. "You were right about William and that glass sliding door in formal dining room." I say with a light smile. "I was trying to get him dressed this morning and he was running away from me, naked, like always and he went crashing into the glass door. He looked up dazed and confused before he started to scream and cry. The minute he started to cry the girls started to comfort him until I got there. I swear they act and talk just like you more and more every day." I spend the next 40 minutes talking to Callie about the kids and my work day. When I get done talking to her I see both Derek and Owen waiting for me outside by the nurses' station.

I turn around and look back at Callie with tears in my eyes, "please wake up, Callie. I need you. I can't live or function without you. You mean everything to me, and I need you." I repeat. Callie doesn't move and the room remains quiet. "Please," I whine as I feel the tears start to stream down face. "You made a promise to me, remember? You promised that you weren't going anywhere. Don't back out, you can't back out. I really need you in my life more than anything."

Again I'm surrounded by silence. Callie is hooked up to every machine this has, but thanks to TV everyone thinks they beep and make noise when the patient is stable. Unfortunately they are wrong, they only beep and make noise when someone is flat lining or coding.

"I'm sorry, Calliope." I whisper to her before I rest my head on the side of the bed next to her elbow. "I never meant for you to get hurt. This is all my fault and I'm so sorry. I will spend the rest of my life making it up to, but first you have to wake up, please. Don't make me go out there; I can't talk to Owen and Derek about the possibility of you dying. I need you, our kids need you. What happened to forever, I need you by my side."

I let the room go silent again, as I silently prepare myself for the talk I'm about to have with Owen and Derek. I'm about to leave the room when I feel Callie's thumb twitch. My eyes shoot down to Callie's hand and I watch as she slowly starts to fist her hand so it's holding my hand in return. As Callie slowly starts to cup my hand I stand up never taking my eyes off of Callie's hand. My reaction causes Owen and Derek to enter the room. They don't say anything when they enter the room and they just follow my eyes to witness what I'm witnessing.

Derek moves closer to Callie's head, and before he can touch or talk to her, she starts to make a choking sound, and the once quiet machines start to beep. Within seconds two nurses come into the room and I'm pushed towards the wall so I can't see what they are doing. "Calliope," I whisper to myself.

Please, please let her be okay…
