From SophiaCrutchfeild: "Omg I love this story sooooo much! You are so talented and I love, like, every chapter! I was wondering if you could do something with Stanford and Stanley hunting the paranormal and stuff as kids? And like, bonding and stuff? Pleeeaaaase? (Puppy dog eyes)"
Thank you! Well, considering A Tale of Two Stans has been aired, and it is almost time for Dungeons Dungeons and More Dungeons to air, why not?
Two Great Adventurers
"Keep up, bro!"
"I would," a loud huffing breath met his ears, "if you weren't so fast! Slow down, would you?"
"Slowpoke!"
"Dummy!"
Stanley came to an abrupt stop, laughing when his twin ran into his back and fell onto his rear end. "Whoops! Sorry! You said to slow down."
"Not like that."
Stanley leaned over and hauled his brother up by his shirt so that he could stand. It was fun to mess with Stanford, and as much as the other complained about it, he knew that his brother didn't mind. Not as long as they got to hang out with each other.
"So, where did you say this cave was, Poindexter?"
"Well, from what I heard that old guy on the beach say, it should be right up here."
He snorted at that. "You're basing this off of what some tourist said?"
Stanford sighed. "He said he used to be a geologist and that the formations near the cave were weird. So, yes. I am trusting his word."
"Okay, if you say so."
Stanford led the way this time, much slower than they had been running before, and soon they indeed did spy a large cave entrance. The boy pushed his glasses further up on his face and whistled. "Wow. It's much bigger than I thought."
"Big enough for some monsters to hide in?" Stanley joked, wriggling his fingers in front of his brother's face. The latter chuckled and rolled his eyes.
"Sure. Anything's possible, Lee. Maybe there's buried treasure inside. Maybe there's dragon eggs down there. Who knows?"
Stanley punched his twin's shoulder lightly. "Okay, Poindexter. How about you and me go find those mysterious dragon eggs then, huh? We've got to be home before supper, after all."
"Yeah, sure. Just don't make the dragon mad if we find one."
"Hey! I'm delightful company!"
"Pfft, whatever," Stanford teased, laughing harder when his brother punched his shoulder again. They both knew he didn't mean it. They were the best of friends after all, and nothing was going to split them apart.
These two dorks give me life. (Okay, but I reread some of my old one-shots and one of them was called Alone, I think, and it dealt with the twins (although their names were incorrect at the time) and one of them didn't want to be alone and I just... after that episode I can't even... It broke me, man)
