Chapter Eighteen

It's been two weeks since Callie woke up and since I found out about Maggie. I know she is someone important to Stark because in her current state she should be taken off of life support but he won't do it. Stark is hiding somewhere in Seattle but I don't know where. I'm little nervous because I know he plans on trying to kill Callie again, but just like his hiding spot I don't know when or where he is going to do it. I need to get to him first before he gets to Callie, and in order for me to get him I need to memorize both the schedule at Era assisted living and the unmarked police car that sits outside of his little funhouse.

First up on the list is Maggie and the nurse schedule at Era assisted living. Nightshift at Era starts at 7 pm on the dot, and most nurses show up around 6:30 or 6:45 to get the run down on their patients, or the people living at the home. Since Maggie is in the hospital wing she gets her own nurse that goes by the name of Randi Smith. Randi a younger woman, by glance I would say late twenties or early thirties. She has long brown hair which she wears down unless there is an emergency in the hospital wing. She is on the short side, she is no more than 5'4 and she has really nice green eyes. I could take her down with my index finger, however the nightshift security guard might be another story. Mike is tall man, he is about 5'8 or 5'9 and he is half fat and half muscle. He might be a little harder to take down if the situation calls for it. Let's hope it doesn't. He is posted at a guard station on the other end of the building which for him is about a 10 minute run, more than enough time for me to hide or run away. He does do a patrol around his section of the build every 3 hours but his patrol doesn't take him around Maggie, so I guess you could say I lucked out.

At the start of Randi's shift she gives Maggie her night time bath before she changes and cleans her catheter and then feeds her dinner. After her catheter is changed and clean, Randi will move on to her next patient and will not return to Maggie's room for another 4 hours where she cleans and changes Maggie's catheter again. This is Randi's routine with Maggie for the whole shift, Randi only check's Maggie's vital sign as well as change her catheter every 4 hours. I luck out again because Randi's next patient is all the way on the other end of the hospital wing which for her is about a 20 minute run if things start to go south for me. Right when Randi has finished changing Maggie's catheter and she is in the other patients room which is about 30 minute walk for her is when I will strike.

Moving on to the police car sitting outside of Stark's funhouse, I know this probably a bad idea because the police are outside, but this cocky serial killer has a point to prove, and I think it's only fair that this asshole should die in his own funhouse by his own traps.

Night shift of the police is a little different; their shift starts a 6pm and goes until 6am. There are always two cops on patrol, that stupid buddy system. Anyway the cops outside of Stark's house at night are Chris and Brad. They are typical American cops, somewhat over weight and very easy to take down if I catch them off guard. Their shift is a lot more relaxed than Randi's shift. These men just sit in their car and watch movies and TV shows on Netflix and Hulu. They stop every 4 hours to get out of the car and walk around the house to see if anyone is inside or around the house. At midnight they have to report their findings to Ramsey, and if they fail to report to him Ramsey will show up to check on them while scolding them for not checking in with him. This means that I will have to wait until their check at 2 in the morning before I take them by surprise and knock them out. I know it's risky, but it's the only way to get into the house without them really knowing, and I also love a little risk every now and then. Sometimes I think risk is a little better than sex, the rush you get when you almost get caught. I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

During my two weeks of work and stalking session of these two places Callie has been kicking ass at her therapy, like everyone knew she would. However because she has been doing so well Derek has found no need for her be in the hospital, which means for the past week Callie has been home with the twins all day while I'm at work and Sofia is in school. Mark, Addison, Teddy, Lexie and I have tried to work out our schedules so she isn't home alone but it doesn't always work out in our favor. The downside to being the best in our field, everyone and their mother wants us to do surgery on them or their loved ones. We all know why I'm stressing about Callie being home alone without me, I know Mark, Addison, Teddy and Lexie will try to protect her if Stark gets the balls to attack her at my house, but let's face it when it comes to fighting they don't have the skills that I do. Everyone in the hospital has slowly pieced to together that it was Stark who attacked Callie, but they don't know why and based of my previous behavior no one expect for a select few people, I think we know which ones, will talk to me.

When Sadie made it her mission to make my life a living hell a few years ago Callie talked me into getting an alarm system for the house, which I'm currently making Callie use at the moment. Every morning when I leave the house I make her set the alarm to instant so if anyone tries to open a window or a door the alarm will go off. I have an app on my phone so when I get into the garage I can turn it off from my phone, which I'm currently doing right now.

When I get into the house I'm greeted by Roxie who has a pink and black tie dye bandana around her neck where her collar should be. I reach down and pet Roxie and notice that she is the only one to greet me by the door, usually when I turn off the alarm my three tiny humans are right there by the door. However they are nowhere to be found.

"Where is everybody, Rox?" I ask when I notice how quiet the house is. Roxie just turns around and starts to walk upstairs and I follow her. When I reach the middle of the stairs I hear laugher from my two baby girls followed by a whine from my little man. The sound is coming from the master bedroom which is where Roxie is walking to.

When I get into the master bedroom I see Callie and Addison passed out on the bed with the menu for Toy Story on the TV screen. I give them both a light smile before I hear more laugher from my girls and sound of William starting to cry coming from the bathroom. When I get to the bathroom I see that Sofia and Jackie, mainly Sofia, have tired up their brother and have proceed to put both mine and Callie's make-up all over his face. And the look on William's face is not one of approval.

"Sofia Sloan and Jacqueline Mary," I say in a stern voice which causes them to stop what they are doing. "You know better than this." I say as I walk over to untie William from the small chair. Right as I untie William and put him in my arms Callie enters the bathroom, and she doesn't look too pleased.

"Sofia and Jacqueline how many times have told you, you don't play with mama's make-up." Callie all but yells at the girls, while Callie yells at the girls I take William into his room, I turn the corner to enter his bathroom when I hear both Sofia and Jackie let out a loud whine, "NO."

It takes me ten minutes to get the makeup off of William's face when I realize that he is wearing khaki pants, a polo shirt and a tie. "Why are you so dressed up little man?" I ask as I take in his appearance.

"We want dog," William says to me.

I don't say anything to him and just give a loud sigh. Over course they want another dog; it would only seem fair that Roxie has a sibling. I give myself a good month before I cave and buy them another dog. I can only take so much of their cuteness.

We leave William's room to hear that the usually craziness has moved downstairs to the living room. When I reach the bottom of the stairs is when I set William down and he goes running towards the girls who are standing in front of the TV with Addison sitting on the couch. "Take a seat, Arizona" Callie says with a smile as she points to a spot next to Addison.

I do as I'm told and plop down on the couch next to Addison as we both exchange small smiles towards each other. All four of them including Roxie are dressed up and they have a PowerPoint presentation on the TV. Callie looks down towards Sofia and lightly nods her head giving Sofia the okay to start the presentation.

"Mommy, we made you sit down because we wanted to talk to you about getting a dog." Sofia starts.

"Getting a dog, you already have a dog." I point to Roxie who is sitting perfectly between the twins.

"We wait another one," Jackie jumps in.

Sofia just nods her head agreeing with her little sister, "I have William and Jackie, you have mama, but Roxie doesn't have anyone. She needs a friend, mommy."

"Then let's take her to a dog park, she can make a lot of friends at a dog park and I don't have to bring them home with me." I say with a sarcastic smile.

"Arizona," Callie says in a warning tone.

"Sorry baby girl, continue." I say to Sofia.

"It's ok, mommy." Sofia starts, she turns around to face the TV and on the screen I'm greeted by a cute puppy that is all black. "Meet Hilton, she is just like Roxie only all black."

"She's a flat coated retriever," Addison whispers in my ear.

"She is prefect for Roxie, they met yesterday and they like each other very much. And we think Hilton should be a Robbins."

"I don't-" within seconds of my statement the twins are on either side of me and Sofia is in front of me.

"Please," they say in unison as they give me their best puppy eyes.

I look at all three of them for a moment before I look up towards Callie, I don't know why I looked up to her because she has the same look as the kids. So I look over to Addison who is pretty much encouraging me to yes.

"Who's going to take care of this dog?" I question, without hesitation all three of my tiny humans raise their hands. "I like you take care of Roxie? Because I'm pretty sure Callie and I are the ones who feed, walk and pick up after Roxie." I feel myself slip into 'mommy' mode. "You guys really want another dog, then prove to me you can handle the responsibly that comes with a dog. Because if I catch mama, Addie, Teddy, Lexie, daddy or myself taking care of Hilton she will go to another home, no ifs ands or buts. Do I make myself clear?"

The three of the nods their little heads, "alright then," I say as I lean back into the couch. "Go away," I say when I notice that they are still gathered around me. The three of them including Addison and Callie scatter in different directions. The kids rejoin with each other before they go play in the basement with Addison, while Callie cooks dinner in the kitchen and I'm watching TV in the living room. We are slowly getting back into the swing of things.

About an hour into everyone doing their own thing I'm joined by Teddy on couch while Mark goes downstairs to play with the kids and Lexie goes into the kitchen with Callie. I forgot that it was Taco Tuesday. It's another hour after everyone showing up before dinner is ready. Callie made chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas with rice and black beans. Dinner is just like nothing has ever happened. We are loud and obnoxious, and I love every moment of it. After dinner instead of watching a movie we end up playing Wii Sports and Wii Play for about 2 hours before we call it night.

I put William to sleep while Callie puts Jackie to sleep. Callie says goodnight to Sofia before I lay on the edge of her bed and read Beauty and Beast to her and Roxie. After those two finally go to bed, I join Callie in the master bedroom. Callie is cleaning herself up in the bathroom while I go into the closet to change. We both get done at the same time and start to walk over towards the bed however I cut her off and grab her by the waist and bring her closer towards me.

Callie lets out a small giggle before I lean in and capture her lips with mine. The second her lips hit mine our tongues come out and start to battle with each other for dominance. For the few minutes we kiss like this until oxygen is an absolute necessity. "Have I told you how much I love you?" I question a little on the breathless side.

"You've told me every day since I woke up." Callie says while placing light kisses on my lips and on my neck.

"Well just in case you forgot," I say before I give her one long kiss.

"Let me guess, you love me." Callie gives me a wide smile.

"Yep, I love you so much. I don't know what I would do without you," while I kiss her again I maneuver her so her back is facing the bed, and I slowly push her closer to the bed. When the back of her knees hit the bed I lightly push her so she falls onto the bed. I straddle Callie's hips and lean down for another kiss while my hands snake their way up and over her pink tank top so I can literally rip her tank top off. I take a moment to take in Callie's topless features before I lean down and start to attack her left nipple with my mouth while my hand works her right nipple. For a few minutes I bite, kiss and suck her nipple before I repeat the same action on her right nipple making sure they each get the same amount of attention.

Callie's hands work their way down my back to the hem of shirt and she starts to raise it. I take the hint and sit up so she can completely remove my shirt, and I take another moment to remove my pants and her boy shorts. When the two of us are completely naked Callie scoots back until her head hits the pillows. I kiss her one last time before I place sloppy wet open mouth kisses down her body. When I reach Callie's sex she still has her legs closed so I reach up and grab each thigh and spread her legs. Within seconds of spreading Callie's leg I become intoxicated by her scent. I enjoy the view of her slick, dripping, and swollen sex. I've missed this view and her smell over the past few months.

I bring my hand up and slide my index finger through her sex, which gets me a sigh of approval. I slide my finger upwards towards her clit and start to rub a few circles around it, but I never fully touch it. After about 5 or 6 circles I slide it back down and flirt with her entrance for a little bit. Callie gets frustrated and slides her hands down her body and buries them in the back of my head. She tries to push my face into her sex while thrusting her hips forward to get me to touch her where she wants to be touched. With my left hand I swat her hands away and I remove my right hand from her sex while I sit up a little bit to look at her. "Look it's been mouths since I've played on my playground, so let me have my fun."

Callie gives me a low growl before her hands drop down to her sides. I just give her smile before I return back to Callie's lower half. Instead of having my fingers return to her sex, it's my tongue. I slide my tongue up and down her sex a few times reveling in her taste. Callie lets out a small whimper before her hands return to the back of my head. I lick her a few times before my fingers return. They continue to slide up and down her sex while I kiss my way back up her body, when I reach her lips I use two fingers and with ease I slide into her causing her moan into our kiss.

My thrusts start off slow and gradually start to build in speed and strength. I curl my fingers upwards and put my hips behind my medium strength thrusts as I seek out to hit her sweet spot. I feel myself get light headed as my senses become overloaded. I'm enjoying the smell of mine and Callie's arousal mixed with the damp sweet smell of sex. When I added my hips into my thrusts the bed started to creek beneath us. Throw in our sounds of moaning, sighing, panting and grunting, it's like music to my ears. I love the feeling of Callie's left arm wrapped behind my neck while her right hand rest on the middle of my stomach off towards the side. Her gorgeous long legs are bent up slightly and are touching either side of my thighs, and don't get me started on her tight walls around my fingers.

Since the withering women beneath me isn't telling me to go faster or harder I keep my pace as I continuous stroke her sweet spot. After a few more minutes of thrusting in her, Callie's walls clench down tightly around my fingers as she starts to come. With all of her strength she pulls me down so I'm lying on top her while her long tone legs wrap and lock themselves around me.

Callie starts to let out a loud scream but stops herself before it has time to wake to the kids. I feel a warm sticky liquid coat my entire right hand, along with both of our thighs as well as the sheets below us, as Callie comes hard. I stop my hips but I continue to thrust inside her gradually slowing down until I come to a complete stop. When I remove my fingers Callie lets out a small sigh, I randomly touch her sex and clit and watch as her body twitches after each touch.

I push myself up and look down at her before we kiss. With our lips still attached to each other Callie rolls us over so she is the one that is straddling my waist. She is the one who breaks our kiss before she sits up and takes in the sight of me naked, it has been awhile since we have had sex.

Callie once again lowers herself and places kisses along my neck, chest, and stomach. When she reaches my sex she ignores the area I want her to kiss and touch, and proceeds to lick herself off of my thighs. Before I have time to protest her tongue finds its way to my sex. I let out a low moan before my left hand buries itself into her hair. She rubs circles around my clit before she wraps her lips around it and starts to suck. I bite down on my lower lip trying to keep quiet as works her magic on me.

For the next few minutes Callie works me up towards the edges and right before I topple over she pulls away and starts all over again. After the third time of her doing it is when I can't take it anymore, "Jesus Calliope, please."

Callie stops her action all together and sits up to look at me, "It's my turn to play." Callie says with smirk. I just glare at her while she gives me a wink and smile. When Callie retakes her position she decides to end my torture and I feel her tongue enter me. Just like she did with my clit she works me up just to bring me down.

"Fuck Calliope, if you don't make me come than I'll do it myself."

I feel Callie snicker before she slowly climbs up my body. "As much as I would love to see that, it would ruin my fun at the moment." After Callie's statement she slams three fingers inside of me. Her pace is fast, deep and hard, and I'm loving every moment as she pounds me into the mattress roughly. She knows I love rough sex. A few more deep thrusts, and my eyes roll to the back of my head and my right hand starts to fists the sheets by my side. My legs come together trapping Callie where she is, and it becomes my turn to ruin our sheets.

Callie gradually slows her thrusts to a stop before she pulls out of me completely. Unlike me she takes the time to lick her fingers clean before she rolls off of me. We lay there for a few minutes catching our breath, before our cold, wet and sticky sheets force us to get up and change them.

Once the sheets are changed Callie slides close to me and I instinctively wrap my arms around her and pull her tight against me. We both lie there with our eyes closed waiting for sleep to come, by the sounds of Callie's shallow breathing and her cute light snoring she is the first to fall asleep. For the next 2 hours I just lie with her enjoying the feeling of having her wrapped in my arms. Since Callie has gotten back from the hospital, she has become more of a heavy sleeper, which means I can get up from the bed with her knowing, I think.

When I was on the phone with Ruth she was pretending to sleep, and then called me out on my behavior. She has given me the okay to kill Stark, so is she just not say anything about me leaving in the middle of the night because she knows I'm going after Stark? Will her no killing rules come back when Stark is out of the picture?

Who cares, if I don't leave now I'll miss my window of opportunity to kill the son of bitch. I slip Callie out of my arms unnoticed and then go to the closet to get changed in to my much missed kill outfit. I leave the house and make a quick detour by my much missed boat as well; I can't wait to take my second baby out on the water again. I grab my knife kit, and a few rolls of plastic before I drive to Era Assisted Living.

It's 3:15 in morning when I arrive and I wait outside just out of the view of the front desk in the main lobby. Like clockwork the front desk attendant leaves her post at 3:20 to go out back for a smoke break. When she is gone I slip through the front door and quietly walk down the hallway to my left. Even though I don't have badge I walk like I belong so I don't draw attention to myself. My walk is quite brisk so a 10 minute walks turns into a 5 minute walk. I stop just shy of the corner that will lead me to Maggie's room. I stop because there are three long medical hallways in the building and they meet at this point, and at this point is where a small nurses station is set up. The good thing about the night shift in an assisted living home is the skeleton crew. I peek around to quickly address my current situation to see I really don't have anything to worry about. There are only 3 nurses that are watching all the patients in this wing, and one of the nurses in currently in another building altogether. The remaining 2 nurse have their backs facing the meeting point to all three hallways. They are looking at a small TV heavily engrossed in MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge. I huge the wall tightly as I make a quick and sharp left turn down Maggie's hallway. I manage to make it to her room unnoticed.

Maggie has a small patient room with one window on the left side of her bed and a door that leads to a bathroom on the right side of her bed. Maggie's bed is right in the middle of the room facing the door and like I say before an array of machines are on either side of her as well as right behind her. The door however is a little off center its more towards the left side of her bed, and it opens inwards towards her bed. The hinges of the door are on the left side so when the door opens it creates a perfect small hiding space, which I will use for later. When I get into Maggie's room I quietly close the door, and walk over to the left side of Maggie's bed where her nightstand is. On my journey to her nightstand I grab her chart and start to flip through the pages looking for one thing in particular. I feel a small smile creep on my face when I see what I'm looking for on the last page. 'Emergency contact.' I pick the hospital phone which is sitting on her nightstand, and dial what I can only assume is Stark's cell phone number.

The phone rings twice before I'm greeted with rushed voice with a hint of panic, "hello?"

"Hi Mr. Stark, this Lindsey from Era Assisted Living," I say in my fake mid-west medium pitch voice. "It's your wife, she has been crashing all night and I don't think she will last the much longer. I figured I would call you so you could be here with her if she chooses to leave us tonight."

"I'm on my way," I don't get the chance to say anything else because after Stark's statement he hangs up the phone on me. I just put the phone down, before I look over at the clock. It's 3:35 which means the 2 nurses that were at the station are in the hallways on either side of this hallway doing rounds on their patients. When I open the door and peek my head out, and see that the nurses' station is empty. I wait another 20 minutes in my small hiding spot when Stark comes running into the room.

"What?" he says under his breath, and a little on the breathless side since he probably ran all the way here and one look at him spells out of shape.

I push the door away from me with enough force to close it, it doesn't slam but you could clearly hear the door close from down the hall. I don't need the other two nurses walking in on me and Stark right now. When the door closes Stark turns around to face me. His eyes are wide and filled with fear and shock. Seeing his expression sends a chill down my spine, next to sex with Callie seeing pure fear in someone eyes is really enjoyable for me. "Long time, no see buddy." I say as I slowly inch my way towards him. Stark doesn't say anything as he slowly starts to back up away from me. "Hold still because this might hurt a bit," I pull out a needle filled with M99 as my smile goes wider.

Stark hits one of the machines behind him. He looks around the room in panic before he turns to face his wife. Without hesitation he pulls the respirator tube out of Maggie's mouth, and not more than 2 seconds later every machine that she is hooked up to goes off. The sound of the machines going haywire along with the sounds of three running footsteps pulls us apart. I go back to make shift corner while Stark opens the window and escapes. When the nurses open the door I'm instantly hidden. The three of them are working together to try and stabilize Maggie, making it easy for me to slip out of the room unnoticed by the nurses.

As I walk back to main lobby I'm a little on the defeated side. How could he do that to his wife, what if the nurses can't save her? He just killed his wife so he did have to die. "See you next week…Brooke, right?" the front desk attendant says to me.

"Yeah, it's Brooke," I say when I realize that I'm in the front lobby going towards the door. "See you next week, Madison." I turn off my autopilot when I step foot in the parking lot. Stark could be in the parking lot waiting for me so he can finish what I started. However the same cars that were here in the parking lot when I came are still here and there are no new cars in the parking lot. I play it on the safe side and take the long way home so it will be obvious for me to spot anyone that is following me, but no one follows me.

I pull into the garage and go upstairs and get back into bed with Callie by 4:30. For the next hour and 30 minutes I can't get Stark and his actions out of my head. I can't believe he would kill his wife just so he didn't have to. I would go to my grave fighting for the woman that is sleeping peacefully right next me.

6 o'clock on the dot is when Callie starts to wake up. I just look at her as she starts to stir around. When she finally wakes up she rolls over to look at me. For a quick second she has look of confusion on her face. "It's 6 and you don't have work, why are you awake?"

"Couldn't sleep," I keep my answer short and sweet.

"Is everything alright?"

"It will be," I give her a small smile and she gives me a hesitant one back.

"I don't believe you," Callie starts, "you are good at hiding your emotions, but right now I can read right though you."

I just give Callie a small shrug. "I promise everything will be fine."

"Why do you hate the police so much?" Callie questions.

"Really," I say semi sarcastically. "Look at what I do for fun, Callie."

"Yeah I get it your serial killer, but right now you in over your head and you won't admit it." I don't say anything as I look over at her. "I almost died…because of you…"

Callie's words make me feel like I've been hit by a semi-truck. My heart drops at her harsh but true words.

"That was harsh, I know. But I'm not sorry for saying it." Callie pauses for a moment, "if harsh words is what it takes to get through the brick wall of brain you have then I will be harsh to you until the day I die. You say you love me and you can't live without me, but if you continue at this rate you're going to be forced to live without me. I'm not invincible. As much as I want you stop no matter how hard I try, you never will. I know you snuck out of the house at 3 in the morning, and I'm assuming you tried to fight with Stark and lost, again. We both know you won't listen when I say give him to Ramsey, so I'm going to say this, is having Stark in your 'trophy' collection worth losing your family over?" Callie gets up and walks out of the room.

I just lie there speechless as I hear Callie walk into Sofia's room. "Come on Roxie lets go for a walk."

"Wait for me, mama." Sofia says as she runs down the hall after Callie and Roxie. "I've got to show mommy I'm responsible." The house grows quiet when the door closes behind Callie, Sofia and Roxie. I'm on the verge of sleep when I hear William start to cry.

"Mama," he whines as I get up from the bed. Clearly the kids already know that mommy likes the sleep in when she doesn't have work. I enter William's room to see him standing up doing the potty dance in this crib. "I got to potty," William says with pleading eyes. I walk over to crib and lift him up before setting him on the ground. The second his feet hit the ground he takes off running towards the bathroom. With door open he makes his way to his small little toilet and goes to the bathroom. A few minutes later William comes out of the bathroom with a smile on his face. "Juice is gone."

"Alright, little man. Let's get you cleaned up." I say as I get him ready for the day. I clean up William and the bathroom before we go wake up Jackie. When we get into Jackie's room she is already awake and waiting for either Callie or me, probably Callie sense I'm always a sleep. After Jackie is dressed for the day we go downstairs where the twins start chase each other through the living and dining room. Callie has made it a rule that the kids cannot play in the kitchen.

I'm lying on the couch while the twins play in front of the TV when Callie, Sofia and Roxie come back.

"Look mommy, I went with mama to take Roxie for a walk. I even cleaned up her poop." She says as she holds the poop bag in front of my face.

"That's great baby girl, go throw it away… Outside."

Sofia nods her head before she runs to the garage door and throws the bag in the outside garbage bin. Sofia rejoins us and is about to play with twins when I stop her. "Hey," I somewhat yell at Sofia, "Wash your hands."

"Okay, mommy" Sofia runs to the downstairs bathroom and washes her hands before returning to her little brother and sister.

"What do you guys want for breakfast?" Callie says as she starts to walk towards the kitchen.

"French Toast," the twins say in unison followed by Sofia who says "eggs." I decide to add my two cents so I say "bacon."

"French toast, eggs and bacon coming right up." Callie says before she disappears into the kitchen.

While Callie cooks breakfast I find myself drifting in and out of sleep. I wake up only when one of the kids screams or lets out a squeal.

"RAWR!" William yells, causing me to wake up again. I look over in the direction of the yell to see my son pop up from one side of the coffee table with a brown paper bag over his head. Both Jackie and Sofia scream before they take off running while William tries to chase them. This could end poorly for my little man. I get up off the couch and follow my three little monsters when a thought hits me out of nowhere.

William scaring and chasing his sisters reminds me of the haunted corn maze at the Paramenter Cider Mill. They never tore it down, and for some reason Stark's wife kept her last name. I'm willing to bet anything that Stark has been hiding out at the cider mill for the past few months. It's rundown and pretty much empty, one look at it and I bet Ramsey passed it up.

There is loud thud followed by a high pitched blood curdling scream from William. I push Stark's hiding place aside and I rush over to my son who is crying hysterically. I remove the paper bag from his head to reveal a somewhat large cut over his eye that is bleeding.

"What happened," Callie says from the opening that leads from the kitchen to the formal dining room. I'll never hear the end of it if she sees this.

"Will hit his head, he'll be fine." I say as pick up William and bury the right side of his into my chest hiding his cut.

"Listen to him he doesn't sound fine," Callie voice grows with concern.

"Trust me honey, he'll be fine." I turn my back to Callie and start to take William upstairs while keeping Callie's view of her son minimal.

When I get him upstairs to his bathroom is when he starts to calm down. "It's ok, little man." I say in soft voice as I sit him down on the counter top. While I clean and bandage his cut he has stopped crying and is now only whimpering. After he is all cleaned up I take him with me to my room while I change my shirt seeing how I go blood on it. When we get back downstairs breakfast is ready.

I set William in his highchair and as I do I can feel Callie killing me with her eyes. "He just hit head? He cut his eye." Callie voice is low and stern.

"Pediatric surgeon," is all I say as I point to myself.

Callie lets out a heavy sigh before she reaches over and puts food on everyone's plate. Sofia and Jackie are there usual hyper self while William is being quiet, which doesn't go unnoticed by both Callie and I.

Someone is in the dog house.

After breakfast Callie cleans the kitchen, while I go back into the living room with kids. The girls are sitting on either end of the coffee table coloring in there massive Disney color book while I lie down on the couch with William curled up on my chest. The two of us are watching some cartoon on the Cartoon Network.

At some point during the cartoon both William and I completely pass out. If the girls started screaming and laughing around us, I didn't hear them. The only time I'm forced awake is when I feel someone trying to take William off my chest. "What are you doing?" I say blankly while my right arm wraps around his back keeping him on my chest. When my eyes meet Callie's is when I start to relax.

Callie gives me a small loving smile when she sees how protective I got over my son. "He needs a diaper change, and you need to go upstairs and get some more rest." Callie says as she grabs a semi slumbering William out from my arms.

"Where are the girls?" I question when I can't see or hear them.

"Downstairs with Mark and Addison," Callie's smile grows a little wider. Callie walks over towards the staircase and nods for me to follow, which I do. I go to the master bedroom while Callie disappears in William's room. I fall on the bed lying down sideways, and the minute my head hits the pillow it's lights out for Arizona.

I pretty much sleep for the rest of the day, and it would have been longer if my pager wasn't going off. I sit up on the bed and look around the semi dark room. The clock on Callie's nightstand reads 6:30 p.m. and I can see the parts of the sunset through the blinds. I scoot off the bed and see 6 piles of the clothes on the floor, Callie must be doing laundry. The minute I open the door I'm instantly bombard with the delicious smell of Callie's fried chicken. My pager goes off in my hands and all I do is let out a large puff of air, "alright, I get it." I say to the pager.

The closer I get to the kitchen the more my mouth starts to water. I can't believe I'm going to miss out on this delicious dinner. I manage to slip by the kids, as well as Teddy and Addison. All five of them are heavily engrossed in Toy Story 2 at the moment. In the kitchen Callie is facing the sink with her back turned towards the fridge. There is counter space on either side of the stove and to the right side of the stove is all chicken that Callie has already fried. I reach down and take a leg but Callie stops me before I can take a bite.

"Put it down Arizona," Callie says never once turning around to face to me.

"But dumb interns are summoning me and I'm going to miss out on all of this delicious food." I whine and put the chicken back on the plate.

"Well let this be your incentive to hurry back home." Callie says as she turns to face the stove to start cooking her macaroni.

I just give her a small pout before I grab two pieces of chicken and run out of the kitchen. "Damn it, Arizona." Callie somewhat yells as she tries to grab me. I dodge out of the way and I'm standing in the doorway while she stands in the middle of kitchen. We just smile at each other before I grab my keys and drive to the hospital.

I know it's nothing too serious because it's from an intern, but Owen and his stupid rules require me to change into my scrubs when I know I'll be back in this locker room within the next 10 minutes.

I take two steps out of the attending lounge when Lindsey and Hannah, the two idiots, I mean interns, who paged me greet me.

"Dr. Robbins we're so glad you came." Lindsey a somewhat tall girl with dark brown hair says to me. "I think Hannah and I discovered the greatest medical mystery in the history of medicine."

"Oh yeah," I say sarcastically while I put my hands in my lab coat pocket. "What is that?"

"We have 12 year old boy the weird shaped organs," Hannah, a blonde hair blue eyed girl, says while she holds an x-ray film up to my face.

"Fuck me," I say under my breath. "You don't have a medical mystery on your hands." I grab the film out of Hannah's hands. "The film is upside down and backwards," I say with a loud and annoyed voice. "Whose your resident?"

"Dr. Walsh," Lindsey says in a low voice.

"Where is he?"

"He is in surgery with Dr. Karev."

Waiting around for Dr. Walsh is not worth my time, "well when you see him make sure you tell him I want a word with him on Friday when I clock in." Both girls just nod their heads, "get lost," I say when I see that they have been standing there for far too long. The girls take off down the hallway and around the corner out of my sight while I go back to the attending lounge to change.

Callie's fried chicken, I will destroy you.

I open my locker with a smile on my face, but it is soon wiped clean when one of my black converse shoes falls to the floor from the top shelf of my locker. I pick up the shoe and just stare at it almost expecting it to explain why it fell to the ground. I'm looking at the shoe when it dawns on me that I'm out house right now, and Callie thinks I'm working. I could make a quick detour to Paramenter Cider Mill on my way home for work. Nothing goes well with dinner like a nice fresh kill. I'll be catching Stark off guard making it easier and faster for me to kill him.

I reach up and grab my other converse before I dig to the back of locker and get my long sleeve black shirt and black jeans. After a quick costume change I find myself driving to the cider mill. I don't have to stop by my boat because my kill tools are still in the trunk of my car.

After a 35 minute drive I find myself in the ever so lovely west Seattle. The sun has completely set and this not the best area to be in if you're a white female serial killer driving a BMW. I know how to fight someone if they try to attack me, but explaining the shit I have in my trunk is another story. 10 minutes after crossing west Seattle's city line I find myself driving alongside the property of the Paramenter Cider Mill. The cornfield was 10 miles long and 15 miles wide, of course there is no corn just dirt, grass and weeds now. Around the outskirts of the property is one of the countless national parks/woods. I can use the trees to my advantage and I hide my car in the tree line. I don't want to kill Stark and then come outside to find that my car has been stolen.

When I finally reach the end of the cornfield I'm greeted with what remains of the Parmenter 10,000 square foot barn. It looks like a typical barn its painted red with white lines around the door and windows. But gangs and other kids have gotten to it over the years. The red paint has graffiti art and gangs signs all over it. The all the windows are not only broken but there is plywood over them to keep people out.

Like I said earlier I park my car in the tree line out view from the road, and I quickly and quietly make my way over to the barn. I spend about 20 minutes looking for some opening to get into the barn. I somewhat take my time because the security lights that were once on this property no longer work, so I use the darkness to my advantage and stay hidden to the untrained eye.

There is a window by the back door, that was used to lead people to pumpkin and apple patch, which is loose. I slip through the window and plywood and enter the large gathering and shopping area of the cider mill.

To my right side is where they sold their donuts, the glass cases that used to house those donuts are shattered and filled with dust and spider webs. The same goes for the store selves that line up against the three remaining walls. The picnic tables where you could eat or carve pumpkins are either broken or have graffiti on them. The floor is dusty and there is trash scattered here and there. Beer bottles, condom wrappers, fast food bags and cups. Stark clearly isn't in the main part of the barn, he is either in the kitchen or upstairs which was off limits to public.

Seeing how the upstairs was off limits I'm willing to bet that is where he is staying. The question now is how do I get upstairs. I'm looking around the room to my left when I see several dim red lights in the upper left corner of the room. I check the other corners and I see the same thing. Fuck he has infrared cameras which mean he knows I'm here.

I'm trying to study the location and view of the cameras when I hear movement coming from above me. And so the showdown begins. I was standing out in the open, so I quickly move to the wall behind me using the darkness to my advantage. The minute my back touches the wall I reach in my pocket and take out my needle of M99.

Stark emerges from the kitchen with a flashlight in hand causing me to quickly move more to left. He shins the light over to my old spot to find that I'm not there in anymore. "I know you're here, Robbins." Stark says as he walks over to where I he last saw me on camera. I'm currently in the right corner of the room. Stark has his back turned to me so I use that opportunity to move to the other corner. I love playing games so when I move to the other corner I make a little noise which causes him to jump a little while he turns around and shines the light in the right corner of the room.

This time Stark is moving along the wall towards the right corner where I'm hiding. The cracks from barn are allowing moonlight to come into room leaving me trapped in the corner. I look down at the ground to see a rock by feet. I pick it up and throw right behind him. He turns around and starts walking away from me. With his back turned to me I start to make my way over to him. I'm right behind him when I step on a Burger King bag, which causes him to turn and face me. Before he can do anything my needle is already injected into him and he falls to the ground in shock. I feel a slight burning sensation in my stomach causing me look down. Motherfucker stuck me with a needle as well. I manage to grab the needle out of my stomach and throw it across the room before I fall to the ground unconscious as well.

That little fucker.

The vibration from my cell phone which is still in back pocket is what pulls me out of my slumber. When I wake up I'm in a dimly lit room on the cold semi wet concrete floor. I raise myself up so I'm sitting on the floor before I grab my head which feels like I've been hit by a semi-truck. I look around to see that I'm no longer inside the cider mill but in some old factory type building. There is heavy metal machinery scatter around the place, with steam pipes with actual steam coming out of them in the factory as well. Chin linked fences are what creates small little makeshift rooms. There are also heavy chains hanging for the ceiling as well. From what I can make out, I'm in a hallway type setting because there is a chain linked fence in front and behind me. A small piece of white paper on the fence in front of me grabs my attention. I get up from the floor and grab the paper and look at it. 'RUN!' Fuck you Stark, I don't listen to anybody, expect for Callie and a man dressed in black running at me with an ax.

After I read the note, a dark shadow appeared in my peripheral vision to my right and he was holding an ax. The quick glance that I got from him showed that it is Stark dressed in all black as well with a ski mask and like I said before he is holding an ax.

This place sucks for hiding because everything is out in the open and this place is somewhat lit up. No darkness at the moment to use so I just have to use my speed. I take off in a full sprint making sharp turns randomly hoping I turn into a dead end.

After about the third turn is when I lose him and I start to slow down a bit. He knows the place better than me, and I don't need a surprise ax to the face right now. It would seem that my random turning has lead me to a dead end with concrete walls that I can use because it will be hard for him to see me, however my plans change when I see a door right in front of me. I run to the door to see that it is unlock and leads to another room. I don't run into the room but I leave the door open and use the very little darkness and a stack of boxes to hide me while I wait for Stark.

I'm waiting for about 3 minutes when I hear Stark run past my room. I hear him stop and slowly walk towards the open door I left for him. When he passes the boxes is when I pop my head out to see where he is. He is in the doorway looking for any signs of my movement. With his back towards me I sneak up behind him. He must have heard me coming because he turns to face me and he tries to swing. I grab the handle of the ax with two hands during his swings and we reach a stalemate about who is stronger at the moment. I decide to pull a Bailey and kick his leg out from under him causing him to lose his grip on the ax.

I don't correct in time to catch the falling ax and it cuts me the right side of my stomach before continuing downwards and lodging itself in Stark's upper thigh. Stark lets out a scream as he pulls the ax out his leg and throws it aside. I back up away from holding on to my stomach. I remove my left hand from my cut and see a lot of blood coming from it. I'm still looking down when I drop to knees and hiss out in pain, this shit really hurts.

"There fucking brats, Robbins. Why do you care?" Stark says as he tries to balance on his own two feet. Each time he tries to put weight on his wounded left leg he ends up falling to the ground.

"There just kids, they don't know any better. Give them a chance to grow up and discover who they really are." I keep my current position which is on my knees on the floor.

"Just kids, just kids," Stark starts to scream "those little fuckers, beat, raped and killed my wife." Stark's anger fuels is adrenaline and he finds the strength to stand on this own 2 feet. "Little shits between the ages of 14 and 18 destroyed my life and they got they away with it."

"So take your anger out on them," I say as I push myself on to my left knee.

"I did, and I must say I enjoyed every moment of it." Stark starts to take slow steps towards me.

"If you got your revenge, then why are you still hurting innocent children?" I remove my right hand from stomach and lower it towards the ground as I start to lean towards my right side.

"They weren't innocent, Robbins." Stark is slowly closing the gap the between us, and I'm letting him do it on purpose. "One bad deed is all it takes to get the ball rolling. They start off by treating their elders and classmates with disrespect and before you know they are picking at innocent women, like my wife. Kill them young before they have time to develop and do more damage, that's what I say."

Stark closes the distance between us. He is reaching around to his back pocket, but I have him beat. When I lowered my right hand to the ground it was to grab the ax that I strategically stumble over towards. I fully grab the ax and swing it at Stark's face. I make sure that I don't hit him with the sharp edge and hit using the side of the ax.

Stark falls to the ground and lets out a scream. He stares at me in complete shock as he shakes violently on the floor while his left cheek gushes out blood. "My wife is not a child and is was truly innocent and you tried to kill her." I stand up and walk over towards a still scared Stark.

"She was…"

"Who said you could talk?" I take the ax and in one fluid motion I cut his right leg clean off his body. "I was being serious when I said that nobody touches my family. And you are about to experience what happens when someone touches my wife in a disapproving way." The terror grows in his eyes as he watches mine become lifeless. "See you just like me, you welcome death because you believe that you will reunite with wife when they finally pull the plug because her sister is next in the medical line to make decisions for her and she has been pushing to take her off life support. So that would mean that I should take out my cell phone and have you arrested so you can be stuck on this planet without the one thing you love." Stark is looking at me waiting for me to pull out my cell phone. "But I'm not going to do that." I take the ax and cut off his other leg. Stark lets out a scream as I move the ax up to his mid-section, I cut his stomach twice which causes to him to spit out blood as he start to whine from the pain. "See what you don't realize is you have been playing games with a serial killer. Your 20 kills have never and will never come close to the 149 kills I have under my belt." Stark's eyes grow wider. I just smile at him before I raise the ax again, "I guess you could say a 150 as of now." Before Stark has time to scream before I lower the ax right on his neck cutting off his head.

I just stare at the lifeless and bloody body in front as I feel a massive weight come off my shoulders. Stark's dead, and my life can go back to normal, kind of. Callie and her behavior have been a little strange since she woke up. Before I do anything with his body I look for an exit. After about 30 minutes of looking I finally find one. We are in some old abandon factory on Aiki Ave in West Seattle, which is good because that means I'm not too far from home. I have more good news in the form of my BMW sitting in front of the door. I don't have my keys but I use the pin code on the driver side door to unlock my car. I lift up my shirt to see the damage from my ax cut, and the cut is pretty deep and still bleeding. I'm going to have to give myself stitches when I get to the boat. I take gauze and medical tape and close the wound the best I can before I grab some gloves, an emergency bleach bottle, and some garbage bags.

It takes me 2 hours to get rid of the evidence that Stark and I were there. The fact that I can't stop bleeding is what takes so long. After I move everything to my car I drive to the marina and during my walk to the boat is when I start to feel the effects too much blood lost. I become dizzy and light headed. I try to push past it the best I can. If I can get the boat I should be ok. I get all 6 trash bags on the bow of my boat before my body gives out because I'm too weak at the moment.

"Arizona?" I hear Callie's voice coming from the haul of my boat.

I just let out a moan as pull myself up to all fours. "Oh God Arizona," Callie says as she rushes to my side. She grabs my left arm and throws it around her neck while she grabs my waist and helps to my couches on the beam of my boat. "You're bleeding," Callie says as she lifts up shirt. She removes the gauze and grasps at the cut on my stomach. "We need to get you to a hospital."

"No," I cutoff.

"Arizona you're bleeding pretty badly and you need stitches. You're going to bleed out if you don't."

"I have a suture kit in my bathroom in the haul." Callie wants to protest but she knows that there is no time for fight so she gets up and goes downstairs to the haul my boat.

"Take off your shirt and lie down on your back," Callie says a few minutes later with my suture kit. I groan and as I slowly take off my shirt and lay down on the couch. Before I fully lie down Callie puts a towel under me. She puts on a pair of latex gloves and then proceeds to clean and stitch up my wound. "Where is he?"

"Callie…" my voice is a little on the raspy side.

"No Arizona, this ridiculous. For the second time Stark has tried to kill you, and you won't stop going after him until one of you is dead." Callie pauses to cut the stitch. She looks down for a moment to grab a clean set of gauze and replies them to my stitches. "You mean the world to me as well. You may be a monster, but you're my monster, and I love you." I don't say anything and just look at Callie while she finishes putting on the last of my badges. "So," Callie takes off her gloves and sits up straighter while looking at me. "Where is Dr. Robert Stark?"

"Over there," I whisper as I point to the 6 garbage bags sitting next to ledge on my boat.

Callie follows my finger and lets out a gasp when she quickly puts two and two together. I manage to slowly sit back up on the couch, while Callie's right hand covers her mouth as she moves from the kneeling position on the floor to sitting on the couch next to me.

"I know I broke my promise and I'm sorry, but I couldn't help it. He kept provoking me and then he tried to kill you. After that I knew I would never be satisfied with the outcome unless it involved me killing the sorry bastard." I look over to see Callie still crying with both hands covering her face. "I understand if you are mad, I would be too." I take another pause as I brace myself for the answer to my next question. "If you want I can stay here on the boat tonight if you are too mad at me."

"I'm not mad at you," Callie's voice is muffled at first before she raises her head out of her hands. She takes a few sniffs before she says, "I'm crying because I'm happy that he is dead…Oh God listen to me." Callie breaks down again and buries her head back in her hands. "I'm crying because I'm happy," she repeats several more times. After a few more minutes Callie somewhat stops crying before she removes her face from her hands. "I'm crying because I'm happy, what does that make me…A monster?" Callie questions as she looks over towards me.

"No," I say in soft whisper. "It makes you human." I scoot closer to Callie and wrap my arm around her and she comes in closer to me. She buries her face into my neck before she starts to cry some more. Callie is crying for another 30 minutes before she cries herself to sleep.

When Callie is fully asleep I go against any and every doctor's orders about stitches and heavy lifting as I pick her up and take her downstairs to my master bedroom. I lay a slumbering Callie on my bed before I grab another shirt and go back upstairs. I hide my garage bags from plan sight as I make one quick walk around the marina making sure mine or Stark's blood isn't on the ground. I luck out because it looks like I got my blood everywhere on my boat and not on the dock. Nothing I can't clean when I dispose of Stark's body.

I untie my boat from the dock and go to my usual dumping sight. I throw all 6 bags of Stark's body in the water and watch as they sink to the bottom of the water while being carried further into the Pacific Ocean. I take a quick glance under my shirt to see that I didn't pop my stitches, so I go downstairs to grab some bleach and I clean my boat while I'm away from the dock. Once everything is clean I go back to dock and retie my boat. After I'm back I go downstairs and lie with Callie until she wakes up on her own 15 minutes later.

Callie's current position has her back towards me while I face her propped up on one elbow. Callie does her usual wake up back stretch before she turns around to face me. "Hey you," I whisper to her. "Who's watching the kids?"

"Addison and Teddy," Callie's voice sounds a little groggy.

I give Callie a small head nod, "we should get going then because I know their babysitting was a unplanned one."

"What about those bags?" Callie questions.

"I took care of them while you were sleeping." Callie doesn't respond as she gets from the bed and I follow her. While we go up to the bow, I turn off my lights and lock up my boat before we go home in our separate cars. I'm pretty sure Callie's car is just like mine, quiet inside as we take the 20 minute drive home.

When we get home the lights are off and the alarm is on. When we enter the house through the garage door the alarm starts beeping because Teddy and Addison probably set it to stay. Callie rushes over to turn it off before it can wake the kids. After Callie turns off the alarm and leaves it off we both go upstairs. We check on the kids who are sleeping peacefully in their rooms, and we even check up on Teddy and Addison. Addison is playing big spoon while Teddy plays little spoon. Once we know that the 5 of them are safe and sleeping we go to our room.

I don't bother changing as I strip down into my underwear and crawl into the bed, and Callie does the same. Within seconds both Callie and I fall into a dreamless sleep. I wake up to an empty bed, the sound of my tiny humans playing downstairs and the smell of Callie's delicious cooking in the kitchen. Movement from my left gets my attention when I realize someone is the bathroom. The door is open a just a little bit and I can see that it is Callie standing in front the mirror looking at herself. I don't say anything as I get up from the bed and join her in the bathroom.

"Hey you," I say as I walk up right behind her.

"Hey," Callie says in a soft whisper as she turns around to face me.

"Are you alright?"

"I don't know," Callie looks down at the floor for a moment before looking up at me. "I love you so much."

The minute Callie's last statement leaves her gorgeous lips I feel my heart speed up, my palms get sweaty and my mouth go dry. Nothing good happens when someone starts a conversation with 'I love you so much'.

"Everything inside of me is screaming to walk away from you. To take our kids away from you." While Callie pauses I feel my heart drop a little bit. "But I can't. Every time I'm with you, or when I see you with our kids. I see the Arizona that I've always been in love with for the past 7 years. I feel torn when I see you go from loving and sweet to dark and twisty in a matter of seconds. I still don't know if one day one of us is going to set you off and you end up hurting our kids or me. You and Teddy have said in the past that you could never hurt me and kids, but that is something that might take me some time to truly figure out." Callie pauses again and I don't say anything as I just stand there waiting for her to continue.

"Dr. Stark made me realize that some people are far too gone to be saved, which helps me understand why you kill the people you do. If killing criminals helps keep you sane which keeps our family safe from you then I'm willing to look the other way, but you have to follow my rules if you expect me to stay by your side." I give Callie a small head nod telling her that I'm still listening and want her to continue. "First, I expect you in this house by 1 a.m. every night. Second, if someone you are going after someone who starts to play games that get out of control you are to turn them over to the police. Someone could be more twisted than Stark and they could go after our kids, or they could even go after Addison, Teddy, Lexie or Mark, so let this be your one and only warning if anyone of us, that includes you, gets hurt I will leave you no questions asked. Three, I don't want know who kill. You keep that to yourself and to Teddy since you talk to her about everything. Four, you are not to bring anything you use to kill people in this house. No knives, no plastic and I better not find any of your 'trophies' lying around. Lastly," Callie pushes herself off the counter and starts to walk towards me with slight anger in her eyes. "You are not allowed to kill innocent people anymore. If I hear or read about the Thumb Print Killer, I will call the police and air out all of your dirty laundry while taking our kids and moving out of this state to a place where you can't find us. You think you can live with these rules?"

"Yes ma'am," I say in slight whisper.

Callie closes the distance between us. She grabs my waist and pulls me towards her, "I really do love you… all of you. I know I've got you on a short leash but I also want you there by my side, and if that means giving you rules to live by then I'll do it."

"I'm not complaining. I get to have the two things I love most in this world. I'll do anything and everything you ask of me if I get to keep them." I slide my arms around Callie's waist and give her a kiss.

"Mommy, mama, aunt Addie made blueberry waffles for breakfast. Come quick." Sofia says in one breath before she runs back downstairs to the kitchen. Callie and I break apart and walk out of the bathroom. Callie leaves the bathroom and while I put on some clothes and join everyone downstairs at the breakfast table.

Callie is sitting at the far head of the table while I sit at the other head. Addison is sitting on Callie's right side with Teddy next her, and Sofia is between Teddy and I. On my right side is Mark who is sitting next to Lexie and between Lexie and Callie's left side is the twins. Breakfast is loud and obnoxious but when we are all together we are always like this. After a quick conversation around the table it looks like all the adults and Sofia have the day off today, and from the current conversation we are going to have a family day with just the Robbins Montgomery Sloan family.

Or should I say the Monsters…
