The Summer Life

Summary.

16 year old Rachel Barbra Berry was looking forwards to spending the summer with her cousins in California after dealing the the slushie facials and losing Regionals. This was her break before Junior Year. Boy was she wrong. Instead her Dads surprised her by sending her to stay with her childhood friends in The Hamptons. There she helps her best friends out with watching the younger siblings while Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery are busy with work. All the girls will get paid for their work.

On the first day she meets the Montgomery's in house pool boy/Landscaper Noah Puckerman who changes her mind about having a crappy summer, She couldn't help but be attracted to this guy on her first night.

This summer will change her life forever. Enjoy. Oh the OC are Rachel's childhood friends and Rachel's older sister. Also I'm giving Rachel a older sibling. She'll be joining Rachel in two days at the Montgomery house. Her sister also goes to McKinley but she's on the cheerios. She's not in Glee club and she gives Santana and Quinn hell whenever they slushie her. Her sister is going to be a Senior while Rachel is going to be a Junior. They are best friends not just sister.

Sister Bonding Time, First Day Working,

In Rachel's POV.

Noah Puckerman was now offically my boyfriend which I never expect would happen this summer but I'm not complaining. He wasn't like Jesse or Finn and I liked that alot. He was a badass, super good looking and just really sweet with me. My sister is in town for two weeks before spending the rest of the summer with her boyfriend and his family. It was also my first day of working as Autumn's Vocal Instructor.

Right now I'm outside in the back with my sister just having a sister talk. We're both in her pjs enjoying the cool breeze. The other girls went to a party. I was going to go but my sister wanted us to bond more. I never really get to spend time with alone since she's always with her friends or her boyfriend.

"How are things with you and Marcus?" Joelle smiles at me then looks up at the sky.

"We're good. I really like him sis. I know Dad and Daddy like him but how do you feel about Marcus?" I have no problem with her boyfriend. They are very cute together.

"I've told you before that I have no problem with him. He's a great guy and he seems to make you happy. Are you happy with your relationship?" Joelle smiles.

"Yeah I really am. We've even talked about colleges. I really do think he's the one." I'm happy for her. I really am. I wished my relationships had lasted as long as Joelle's and Marcus's relationship but I'm still young. Joelle's already got her life figured out. So do I when it comes to college and Broadway but who I'm going to spend the rest of my life with? I still don't have a clue.

"Are you with me Rae?" I stared at her.

"Huh? what were you saying?"

"I see that Noah has gotten into your head. Missing the new boyfriend already?" I try not to blush but he has been on my mind since he left with his friends this morning.

"No I wasn't thinking about him. Sure I miss him but it's only been a few hours since we became a offical. I'm not making a big deal about it." She raised an eyebrow at me.

"You of all people aren't making a big deal at the fact that your in a new relationship with a gorgeous badass guy? where is my sister?" I shake my head at her.

"I'm trying to be different when it comes to relationships. There is something that I did that made Finn cheat on me with Quinn. Jesse was a spy for Shelby so she can get to know me but you know how that turned out. I'm just being careful this time around. I don't want to end up heartbroken again." She nods.

"I understand sis really I do. Both of those jerks hurt you but your recovering from it. Noah seems like he wants to stick around for awhile after summer is over. Don't let those guys ruin your chances of finding happiness." Joelle tells me.

"Okay Joelle. So your going to be a Senior, are you ready for it to be over?" She nods.

"Hell yeah I'm ready. I know it hasn't started but I'm so ready to graduate so I can get the hell out of Lima Ohio." I can't wait to the same.

"Same here but I actually have one more year after this. I don't know how I'm going to deal with that. I'm so sick of the bullying. It's not fun." She stares at me.

"I'm sorry you have to go though this but you told me yourself that you didn't want me taking care of it. I could still take care of this bullcrap your going through."

"It wouldn't matter anyways because as soon as you graduate, they will just do it again. They don't like me and I'll just have to live with that."

"But you shouldn't have to live with slushie facials, rude remarks, people talking about our dads. It's not right Rachel." Trust me I already know it isn't right.

"What do you want me to do about Joelle? switch schools? Dad and Daddy would never agree to that. I can handle it all alone when you graduate."

"I'm not saying that but that's not a bad idea. You deserve to enjoy school, not come home crying with wet clothes everyday." I know I do but it's not going to last forever.

"Can we talk about something else please. I don't want to think about this right now." She shook her head no.

"No because I don't want to see you get bullied everyday until you graudate. You need to figure out what you want before summer ends." She tells me taking a sip of her water.

"Like what? change schools? I'm not up for leaving New Directions." Joelle scuffs.

"That bullshit show choir doesn't care about you Rachel." I shook my head not wanting to listen to this.

"Stop kidding yourself. They care about your singing voice and from what I'm here, there getting sick of that too. I've talked to Dad and Daddy and they agree with me."

"What do you mean they agree with you? Agreeing to what Joelle?"

"That McKinley High isn't the right school for you anymore. Don't you want to leave the bullying behind and actually have real friends?"

"What about Kurt and Mercedes? I just can't leave them behind." She rolls her eyes.

"They weren't your friends to begin with Rachel. Quinn Fabray was your best friend and looked how that turned out? You should go to a school where you don't have to deal with this immature bullying." I can't believe she's saying this.

"And what school would that be Joelle? Carmel? No I'm jumping ship with schools to make New Directions hate me."

"First of all no I wasn't talking about Carmel and second those people should care about what show choir you go. They pushed you into leaving."

"What school is this anyways?"

"It's called Claywood High School. It's still in Lima but it's so much better then McKinley. They do have a show choir there. Dad and Daddy already looked into it and they think it's a great school. I think we should check it out before school starts. I'm still going to stay at McKinley and finish up my year but this is your chance to really enjoy your high school life." Wow I never thought my sister really cared about the bullying. She just ignores it like I try to do.

"You really want me to go to Claywood?" She nods.

"I hate that they treat you this way. I'll do whatever I can to make you see that you deserve to happiness in your life." I open my arms for her to come over. She does and we hug each other.

"Thanks for caring about me. I'll think about it." My sister just nods still holding onto me.

"Hey ladies, enjoying this nice evening?" We pulled away, turning around to see my new boyfriend Noah standing there. He looked good.

"Hey Puckerman. You just had to ruin our sister bonding time?" Joelle says giving him a playful glare.

"Sorry ladies I just wanted to say hi. I'll leave you to your talk." I reach out to his hand.

"Where is my kiss?" He smirks moving closer to me, leaning down pecking me lips a few times then pulls away then walks into the house.

"That was cute. You two look really cute together. Do you think it will last after the summer is over?" I shrugged my shoulders unsure. I'm just enjoying it now.

We talk for two more hours before going to our rooms and call it a night. I updated my relationship satus then logged off.

There was a knock on my door and I get up walking to the door, opening it to see my handsome boyfriend wearing nothing but boxer shorts.

"Noah?" I whispered trying not to stare at his naked chest.

"Can I sleep in here you tonight? I really didn't get see you as much today since you offically became my girl." Was he serious? I don't want to get in trouble.

"I don't think that's a good idea babe. What if you lose your job?" He moved closer to me.

"Trust me I'm not going to lose my job just for being in your room. I'll lock the door if it makes you feel better." I don't think it's a great idea.

"I'm sorry Noah but I'm not comfortable with that yet, besides we both have work in the morning." He sighs muttering fine before kissing on the lips.

I missed him and his lips today. I melt into his lips and wrap my arms around his neck. I never want this kiss to end but I know it will at some point but right now I'm not going to worry about it. I was going to enjoy my evening with my handsome boyfriend.

Noah pulls back smiling at me. "Damn your lips are like heaven against mine." I just laughed and we went back to kissing. Oh yeah best summer ever so far.

In Lima Ohio.

Quinn finally got her daughter to sleep. Sam was working while she was at her house tiredly folding Melanie's clothes. She was tired and needed a shower. But first she was going to check on her Facebook. She logged on and saw that Rachel updated on her relationship status.

Rachel Broadway Diva Berry is in a relationship.

Quinn stared at the screen wondering if she was reading this right. Maybe she didn't change after her breakup with Jesse. She knew Jesse St. James wasn't a great guy, not only was a Senior at a different school but he was using her former best friend and that wasn't okay with her.

She clicked on Rachel's pictures to see if there was a guy in it she was seeing in it. Sure enough there was. Rachel and a guy with a mohawk were in the pool kissing. She figured one of her childhood friends took the picture. There were other pictures of Rachel with Sofia, Libby, Taliah, Samara and Larissa.

But there a few more with Rachel with her new boyfriend. She actually looked really happy with this guy.

Her phone starts ringing and she saw that it was Santana. What was she doing calling her. They haven't really talked since she got pregnant. They were weren't there for her. Santana only cared about being Head cheerio.

"What do you want Santana?" She now logging off facebook and got up to pick out her night clothes. She was planning on going to gym once again tomorrow while her mom watched Melanie.

"What's with you tubbers? I was wondering if you wanted get out of house and come chill with me and Britt."

"Are you kidding me Santana? I'm a mother now and I just put my daughter to bed. I'm going to take a shower, put clean pjs on and call it night. You might be able to enjoy your summer but I'm not like you. I chose this life. I cheated on Finn with Sam and I'm now a mother. Sorry but my answer is no."

"What about tomorrow? Britts and I want to see Melanie."

"I'm going to gym to try to lose this baby weight. I'm trying to get back to my size. Santana why are you trying to speak to me when you haven't spoken to me since I got pregnant. Your being fake."

"Bitch I'm not being fake. It's not my fault you slept with Evans and now your a mom. It's summer and your supposed to be having fun."

"I'll be having fun when I get out of Lima for a month."

"Where are you going? Across town?" She asked Quinn while laughing.

"No I'm going to go see my childhood friends in New York. I'm going to try to fix my friendship with Rachel."

"Why are you even trying with man hands. She's not worth it Q. We're your real friends. Ever since cheerleading camp."

"No I ditched my real for some backstabbing ones. Besides I don't see why it's any of your business since you don't even like Rachel. Bye Santana." She hangs up before Santana could even say something to her. Quinn gets up picking out her pjs and goes into her bathroom to take a shower.

With Finn.

Finn just walked into room after coming back from his date with some girl from the cheerios. He knew it wasn't going to work out because all he could think about is Rachel. He screwed up when he slept with Quinn but now that was over since she cheated on him and ended up pregnant with Sam's baby. He thought Sam was his friend but who knows now.

"I wonder what Rachel's up to. I know she's out of town for the whole summer but I wonder if she misses me. I'm going to call her." Finn mutters taking his phone out of his pocket and finds Rachel's number and calls it. He waits and somebody answers it but it wasn't Rachel.

"Hello?" The person answered tiredly. He stares at the number and it was the right number.

"Um who is this?" Finn asked not liking that a guy was answer his ex girlfriend's phone.

"Yo who are you?" The person asked Finn.

"I'm Finn Hudson." He hears Rachel's tired voice but this guy was still talking.

"As in my girl's ex boyfriend? why are you calling her?"

"Your girl? who are you anyways?"

"I'm Puck, Rachel's new boyfriend. Listen man I'm sure your calling to be friendly but she's not interested. Good night." He hangs up after that.

Finn stared at his phone and calls Rachel back, hoping Rachel's new boyfriend doesn't answer it.

"Finn?" It was Rachel herself.

"Hi Rach did I wake you?"

"Yeah you did. Look I have work in the morning. I'll see what I can do about calling you. Bye." Rachel hands up.

The next morning Rachel woke up and smiled seeing the sun. She loved that she woke up to the sunshine. She had to work with Autumn today. She was great at singing and if she found some little girl that wanted to be a singer when she grows up, then she was going to help her with her dream. Noah did stay in her room for two hours before making his way back to his room. Finn calling her was his cue to leave. She had no clue why her ex boyfriend was calling her. She wasn't interested in speaking to him or Jesse.

She got of bed and picked out what she was going to wear for the day then walked into the bathroom and took her shower. After her shower was done, she got dressed, did her hair and makeup before making her way into the kitchen to have some breakfast.

"Good morning Rach. Did you sleep good?" Sofia asked her best friend.

"Yeah I did, did you sleep good Sofia?" Rachel asked as she starts making her breakfast.

"So I saw Puck coming out of your room last night." Sofia whispered.

Rachel looked up seeing the look on Sofia's face.

"Nothing happened. Yes we made out for a little bit then he left." She raised an eyebrow at her.

"Honestly Sofia nothing happened. I'm not ready to take that step yet." Rachel tells her before finishing up with making her breakfast.

"Rach your not going to get in trouble for having Puck in your room. I'm just saying I saw it. How was his arms around yours?" She blushed.

"It felt good."

"Good morning ladies." Puck says walking over to Rachel, pulling her close. Sofia smiles at the two as they kiss each other good more.

"You ready for your first day of work?" She nodded.

"Yeah I am." Puck steals her apple piece, earning a slap on the shoulder.

"Leave my breakfast alone. Get your own." She pouts. He chuckles and kisses her pout away.

"Sorry baby I won't do it again." Autumn walked into the kitchen saying good morning to her sister then stared at Rachel and Puck.

"Hey Autumn, you ready to start your first voice lession?" She just nodded and got some breakfast.

Rachel frowns staring at her boyfriend who just holds her and whispers in her ear.

"Don't take it personal baby. Autumn has trouble getting use to new people that come here. She'll warm up to you in no time." She nods and kisses his cheek as he leaves.

Rachel finished her breakfast and went to the music room to wait for Autumn. She really hopes this job won't be too hard.
