Quinn and Santana friendship moments in this chapter.
Lima Ohio.
She had her eyes closed, feeling the sunshine peeping through her bedroom curtains, pushing her bedsheet off her sighing. Sam was off working while she was here sweating her ass off not wanting to get up but today was a very important day. She need to get up, have breakfast, feed her daughter, make sure her stuff and Melanie's stuff was packed then great dressed and have her mom drive them to the airport.
"I'm seeing Rachel today." Quinn gets up and walked over to Melanie and slowly picked her up, which makes her start fussing.
"Oh shh Melanie Beth Fabray-Evans. I'm sorry mommy woke you up but were going out of town today and you need to be fed, bathed and dressed for plane ride. Mommy is going to get her best friend back today." Quinn kisses her cheeks making her daughter stop and stare into her mommy's eyes.
Just then her bedroom door opens and Santana walks into the room wearing a pair of black shorts with a white crop top with a black bikini top under it.
"Q I'm here to steal you away for a swim at my house. So take a shower, get dressed and meet me downstairs." Santana tells her with a smile.
"No thanks but I will be getting showered, dressed. I'll also be getting my daughter dressed for the day. I'm not spending my day with you though." She walks past Santana and gets the outfit she picked for the day.
"What do you mean your not spending the day with me? First you skipped out of cheer camp and now your ditching me for what Q? Melanie?" Santana yelled getting pissed. Quinn turns around.
"Do you mind not yelling. My daughters is only a month old. Also I'm not allowed to be back on the cheerios because I got pregnant. Coach doesn't a teen mom on her cheerios. Also don't you dare bad mouth my daughter. Just leave Santana." She stared at Melanie and sighs.
"Sorry okay it was wrong but Q I could help you get your figure back. Let me be your best friend and help you." Quinn shook her head.
"I'm doing just fine thanks. I'll get my figure back at my on pace before Junior year and I'm going out of town. Some how I find that hard to believe your even a best friend of mine since you weren't there for me when I was going through my pregnancy." Santana starts to speak.
"Don't even think about yelling again about your lies. You want to be a good friend to me right now? sit down on my bed and hold my daughter while I take my shower. Do you think you can do that while I take my shower and get ready for my summer trip?" Santana nods.
"I guess but what do you mean summer trip?" Quinn just ignores her question and placed Melanie in her arms.
"Be gentle with her and speak quietly. I know that's hard for you." She walked over the towel she hand out and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
Santana looked down at the sleeping infant in her arms and slowly sits down on her bed. Sam and Quinn made a beautiful baby girl.
"Your a beautiful baby. Your mommy has a full life ahead of her and your a miracle to her. You put a smile on her face you know that?" Santana stared down at her, grabbing ahold of her tiny hand.
Judy Fabray knocks on the door, walking into the room.
"Where is Quinn?" Santana stared at Judy and smiled.
"She's in the bathroom taking a shower. She asked me to hold Melanie." Judy smiled at the her then at her granddaughter.
"I'll take her so I can give her bath. She's got a long plane ride to New York." She takes her from Santana's arms and starts to walk out but Santana stops her.
"New York? Quinn's going to New York?" Judy looks back at the Santana confused.
"Yeah she's spending this month and half of next month in the Hamptons with her childhood best friends, Libby, Sofia and Taliah Montgomery and my favorite of them all, Rachel Berry. She wants to patch things up with all four girls. She feels lost without her best friends. Didn't you know that?" She shook her head.
"Oh well I'm sorry she didn't tell you. But atleast you have Brittany this summer." Judy left after that.
Santana frowns hearing all about Quinn's summer plans without her. All this time Quinn had best friends that she didn't have a clue about? She knew about Rachel Berry but she didn't know how close the two used to be. No wonder Rachel was pissed and upset with Quinn when she ended up pregnant.
Everybody just thought she was having one of her diva fits. She was really disappointed in her best friend for acting stupid.
Quinn comes out a few minutes later, wrapping in a towel. She stares at Santana's empty hands.
"Where is my daughter?" She asked getting worried.
"Your mom is giving her a bath." Quinn nods and walks to her dresser to get her bra and panties out for the day.
"Why didn't you tell me how close your friendship with Berry was?" Quinn stared at her sighing.
"Because it's not really your business. You hate her." Santana stands up crossing her arms over her chest.
"Were Britt and I ever really your best friends? Or were we just second best until Rachel forgave you for ditching her?" Quinn stared at her.
"You two were my friends atleast I thought you were until you left me when I needed you the most." Santana walked over to her.
"I'm sorry for that and I'll make it up to you all summer. Berry doesn't care about you these days anyways." Quinn frowns.
"You know it's true. After she found out about Finn cheating on with you. Your friendship with Man hands went out the window." She was about to say something when Santana got a text.
"It's Britt. She wants us to go over her house for a swim. Do you really want me to disappoint her?" Quinn stares at her unsure what to do.
"We have all summer to get our friendship back on track. Don't go to New York to get rejected by a girl that you stabbed in the back. You slept with her boyfriend."
"Yes but it was a mistake." Santana scuffs rolling her eyes.
"Please we all knew that Finnessa wasn't that into her in the first place. She's loud, ugly, a midget, high maintenance and points out everybody's mistakes. I'm doing you a favor here. You know I'm right." Quinn looks down thinking about it.
"Come on unpack your stuff. Miss your flight and stay here. Be with your real friends that made one mistake but are making up to you. Let the past stay in the past."
"I'll meet you downstairs. I just need to get Melanie dressed aswell get dressed myself." Santana grins saying okay and goes downstairs. She gets dressed and does her hair and makeup. She stared at her suitcase and walked out of the room to go to her mom's room and gets her daughter.
"You ready for you trip sweetie?" Quinn sighs staring at her mom then back at her daughter.
"Yeah mom I'm ready to go." Judy kisses her forehead.
"Your going to have a great time. I missed having Rachel around. Make sure you two work everything out." She whispers that she will.
At JFK Airport.
Rachel stood by baggage claim with her boyfriend waiting for Quinn's plane to land. Noah wanted to meet this other childhood friend of his girlfriend. Her summer has been going great so far. She was getting payed to being Autumn's vocal coach. She was reconnecting with her childhood friends, spending time with her older sister and she had a new boyfriend that was treating her right so far. Now another part of her past was about to re enter her life and she wasn't sure if she was ready for this.
"So what does your friend look like babe?" She stared at her boyfriend and cuddled into him.
"Well she's taller then me, has pale skin, blonde hair, hazel green eyes, and she'll be carrying a baby." He wrapped his arm around her waist, seeing the look on the face,he placed his hand on cheek. She stared at his eyes sighing.
"You okay? you seem like your nervous. Your just picking up your best friend. Why are you getting like this?" Rachel shook her head.
"We aren't best friends these days." She mutters.
"What was that?" Rachel looked at him and sighs.
"We aren't really best friends these days. Quinnditched me for a buch of fake friends who only care about tearing people down and being popular." She tells him.
Puck stared at her confused.
"Then why are you picking her up if she hurt you? baby you shouldn't be dealing with the bullying. I agree with Joelle. Those people aren't your real friends."
"She's trying okay? I get what she did is unforgiveable but atleast she's trying right? She was the other girls friends too. Give her a chance." He shook his head.
"Why should I give that girl a chance Rachel? She put you through crap and your just going to forgive her?" Rachel was about to say no when she heard Quinn's voice.
"Hi Rachel." They turn around to see Quinn standing there awkwardly while holding her daughter in her arms.
She stared at Quinn holding little Melanie Evans.
"You showed up?" She nodded giving her a slight smile. Puck stared at the girl in front of them and shook his head. So this was the girl that hurt his girlfriend? She seemed like she couldn't be trusted.
"Yeah I showed up. Santana begged me not to but she couldn't change my mind. Is this your new boyfriend?" Quinn asked, glancing at Puck.
"Yes I am. Noah Puckerman is my name but I go by Puck." Quinn smiled lightly.
"Nice to meet you Puck." He just stayed quiet. Rachel stared at her.
"Do you want me to hold Melanie while you get your bag?" She almost forgot that they were in an airport.
"You don't mind?" Rachel shook her head. She took the baby bag from Quinn and hands it to Puck.
"Here you go." Quinn carefully hands Melanie to Rachel. She watched Rachel hold her against her shoulder and smiled.
"I'll be right back." Quinn walks past them and goes over to the baggage claim, looking for her suitcase that hers and Melanie's stuff in it.
Puck stared at his girlfriend as she held the sleepy baby. He smiles knowing that Rachel was going to be great kids someday. She was already great with the younger Montgomery children.
Quinn comes back with her suitcase and smiled at the two.
"So are we ready to go?" Rachel stares at her taking a deep breath and nodded.
"Yes let's go. We have a carseat for Melanie in the car already ready for her." Quinn walks closer to Rachel and kisses her cheek.
"I'm glad your giving me a chance." Puck just shook his head walking ahead of them.
Rachel just hands Melanie back to her mom and takes the suitcase from her.
"We should get going." Quinn realized that it wasn't going to be easy for Rachel to forgive her.
When Quinn stared at the large Mansion in front of her, she realized that things really have changed.
Melanie starts making a fuss which makes Quinn and Rachel look back at her. Puck parked the car.
"I'll bring your bag into the guest room while you two talk." He gets out of the car and gets her bag then goes inside.
Quinn stares at Rachel. She looked different in a good way.
"So do you want to go in the back? The girls are waiting." Quinn stops her from getting out of the car.
"Rachel I really am sorry for everything." She just nods.
"Do you think we can be friends at some point before the summer ends?"
Rachel wanted her best friend back but she wasn't just going to forgive right away. She was going to give a chance to redeem herself.
"Who knows Lucy but we'll take it one day at a time." Quinn nods.
"Come on like I said the girls are waiting." They both get out. Quinn holds onto the car seat and follows Rachel to the huge backyard.
Quinn frowns seeing the look on Joelle's face when they get closer.
"So we meet again Quinn. Have a seat with us. Let's talk."
She takes a deep breath and sits ready to be grilled for the crap she's pulled.
