A few hours later, they woke up. They were each locked in separate cages at the back of the cave.
"Ah, I see that my visitors have awoken." said a booming voice from the other side of the cave. Pandora then walked over to them. Looking at Aeryn, she spoke. "Ah, Aeryn Sun the Peacekeeper. I haven't seen you in years!"
"I'm not a peacekeeper anymore." Aeryn growled
"Oh really?" Pandora said tauntingly. "Did they fire you?"
"Frell you, Pandora!"
"Oh, getting sassy now, are we?" The vampire laughed and walked away. \
"Vala", Cassandra whispered. "You're a master lockpick, can you get us out of these cages?"
"I'll try", Vala whispered back. Taking a bobby pin out of her hair – she always brought one in case of emergencies – she set to work on the lock. She only had to stop once when a guard went by, and other than that made pretty quick work of the lock. Making sure that no one was looking, she slipped out of her cage. In under ten minutes all of them were out. Aeryn spotted their pulse pistols in a corner, and they grabbed them. Just then, a guard finally noticed they were missing.
"PANDORA!" he yelled, "The prisoners have escaped!"
"WELL THEN CATCH THEM, YOU IDIOT!" she howled
"Yes ma'am", he whimpered and scurried away.
The group of women had already taken down three guards. They had simple weapons that were no match for the pulse pistols. Soon, all the guards were taken care of. Now all they needed was to find Pandora.
"We need to hit her in the heart with the wooden spike. That is the only thing that will kill her." Cassandra said. Aeryn was the best aim, so she was elected to hit Pandora. The only problem was that she was flying around in bat form. Vala, Velvet, and Jill ran out to distract her. Pandora flew towards them. At the perfect moment, Aeryn threw the spike. It hit her! For a full minute no one moved, hoping. Pandora seemed to be frozen in mid air. Then, suddenly, the vampire turned to dust which rained onto the floor. The women cheered.
"We did it!"
"Yes!"
"WHOO HOO!" That last one was Vala, of course.
They started walking back to the village to share the wonderful news.
"So Aeryn" Vala asked, "why do we all look alike?"
"Well, you see –"
Vala woke with a start to the sound of her alarm clock blaring. "Well that was a weird dream" she thought to herself. Grudgingly she got up, and after getting ready, skipped to Daniel's office.
"Good Morning!" she said cheerfully.
"Morning Vala."
"I had the weirdest dream last night…"
