Hi guys! I know that it's been almost a year since I last updated and all of you must have been waiting ages for me to update. I am so sorry! I am really bad at that. In fact, I kind of even forgot about this fic for a while until I got some messages a little while back. I was like, "OMG! People still read this?! People still like this?!" I felt so bad I didn't wanna write but part of me was like..."eeeerg, I should. I feel baaaad." So I wrote this.

What's even worse is that I had a very basic general idea for a bit but felt absolutely no drive to write it. No motivation at all. And I was like "Meeeeeeeeeeeeh..."
It wasn't until recently that I got this really awesome dream and it was like this fic. And I just got the drive to do it.
So forgive my lack of inspiration, motivation, and laziness. XP

Another reason that I didn't update at all was that I very preoccupied with college and life. I failed 1 class because I didn't want to do the final project, another class I failed because I just didn't care. Like...ugg cannot even.
What did I learn kids: DON'T EVER BINGE WATCH AN ENTIRE SEASON (OR 2 OR -AHEM- 3, LET'S JUST SAY A SERIES), YOU WILL REGRET IT. I got so horrible caught in a few, Game of Thrones screwed me up so much. And of course, tumblr. I just had so much drama going on and so anxious. I'm so thankful that my friends were there for me. And I was finally getting it together, when the worst thing happened last month. Now I'm not at 100%, and now I just feel a bit overwhelmed.

I was looking back at my old writing when I first wrote this chapter, and I admit, that I do enjoy the imagery and detail. But in all honesty, I was kind of mortified. I wrote like that? I found that it can get repetitive and the characters rather bland, flat and one-sided. So now I want to improve!

I know it's been a while since I've written anything, so please forgive me for this atrocity of a chapter. This is actually more of a filler/drama chapter so I can segue way into the next chapter. And this time, I have everything down on paper and I actually feel motivated! I have the next chapters planned out and how I want them to go! It's enough for about maybe another 10n or so chapters! Yes, this is a long story.
In fact, I even wanna make a trilogy! So I wanna ask you guys, do you guys want a trilogy 8D?
But please take this with a grain of salt, it's not set in stone.

On with the story~

Chapter 13: Jealousy

As the three walked down the hall, questions were swirling in Beast Boy and Terra's mind. Raven, Beast Boy and Terra climbed down the staircase in silence. The empath twirled the little white feather in her fingers.

"So that was your mom?" Beast Boy asked.

"Yes."

"Who was the other guy?"

"He…was a very good friend."

"They seemed very nice."

"Thank you. How much of that conversation did the two of you hear?"

Terra and Beast Boy looked at each other, trying to think of an appropriate answer. "Just enough."

Raven gave a slight shrug as she continued walking with the two in tow until she retreated to the safety of her quarters. As soon as Raven was out of earshot, Terra finally said something.

"That was really weird wasn't it?"

"Yeah, but we see weird things everyday."

"That's different; that's superhero stuff."

"Same difference, right?"

"No?"

"I wonder what they were talking about."

"Beats me."

"I'm kind of getting sick of Raven's emo, mysterious lone-wolf crap" Terra admitted.

"You shouldn't say that. She just came back and she's not even gonna stay…"

Terra scoffed as she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "There you go defending her again."

"I'm not! I'm just thinking we should give her some space before we do anything reckless."

"And how well has that been going lately? Notta! Zilch! That's all we've done! And don't a single damn word! She was dead! Now she's back and completely overpowered! That thing that attacked us! Slade showing up! Everything that's happened up until now…she has to be behind it everything!"

"Let's not jump to conclusions."

"Beast Boy, get a grip!"

"I'm telling you; she knows what the hell is going on and not telling us anything?! All this weird shit! Don't you care about the others? She's dangerous!"

"Well, no shit!"

"Hell even Slade got outta here just cause he pissed her off! And he even said she could end us if she wanted to!"

"But she won't!"

"How do you know?!"

"Because…because I trust her and she's our friend!"

"Suuure, 'friend'", Terra narrowed her eyes, obvious mistrust in her expression.

"What is with you lately, Terra?"

"What's with me? What's with YOU?"

Beast Boy's face contorted into confusion.

"Are…are you jealous?"

Terra's eyes widened in shock. How could he come to that conclusion was ridiculous! In all honesty, Terra did feel an abiding contempt and jealousy towards the demoness. But with all the events that happened, it was sort of difficult to rationalize anything.

"No, I'm not jealous" Terra lied. "I'm just concerned for the others and I think it's best if she went back to wherever she came from."

"I think you are" Beast Boy smirked slightly as he also folded his arms, confident in this conclusion.

Terra grimaced and gritted her teeth.

"I am not!"

"Yeah you are."

"Aaargh!"

Terra stormed off leaving Beast Boy alone in the empty hallway. To think Terra would be jealous seemed almost silly, but it made so much sense why Terra was so rude. He didn't think anything of it and it was just a passing feeling.

He was so consumed in his own thoughts that he failed to notice Cyborg behind him.

"What was all that yelling?"

"I just came to a realization."

"About what?"

"Terra's jealous.

Terra stormed down the hall to her room, bumping into Starfire.

"Sorry."

"Friend, what ails you?"

"It's just…It's Beast Boy" Terra said her eyes drifting to the floor and crossing her arms.

"Did the two of you have a disagreement?"

"Yeah…"
"Friend Terra, you may confide in me if it shall make you feel better."

Terra sighed, she didn't quite feel like telling this to anyone and she felt as if she said something, she'd look like the bad guy.

"Ever since Raven came back, Beast Boy doesn't even see me and to be honest, I'm getting sick of it."

"I see."

"I don't know…" Terra started. "I guess I feel a little jealous."

"Why not tell Friend Beast Boy?"

Terra laughed incredulously. "Are you kidding? I'm not gonna tell him that."

Starfire tilted her head slightly, confused.

"I'm sorry, Star. I just…I don't know."

"Friend, we are all tense."

Terra sighed again.

"I guess Raven being back is really getting to me. It shouldn't, but it is. And I feel like she's behind everything that's happening. I mean she shows up out of nowhere, has all these freaky new powers, that thing that attacked us and Slade showing up. And now, me and Beast Boy just caught her talking to some ghosts, and they gave her some crazy warning."

Starfire listened quietly.

"It's creepy."

"All these incidents are strange, indeed. I hope Friend Raven will clarify on these events soon."

"She better, I'm getting really tempted to make her talk. I just might end up socking her in the face."

"Friend Terra, you should refrain from doing that."

Terra let out another sigh. "What do you think, Star? Why do you think she came back?"

"I cannot say. Friend Raven has her own reasons for coming here."

"Part of me really wishes she'd leave already."

"Friend Terra, I can sympathize with your feelings but you shouldn't wish that. Friend Raven said she would never return."

"I know but if she does, do you think all this weird stuff will go with her?"

Starfire looked at her friend, concerned. She could not condone with what Terra wished but all the cryptic events that occurred until then had not happened since five years. Both girls were her friends and she didn't want to see the two of them fighting. Starfire didn't answer and looked out the window.

"We only have a month with her before she leaves."

"Yeah."

+Raven's Room+

Raven sighed lightly as she sat on the bed, gently twirling the feather between her fingers. Swinging her legs over the side of her bed and walking to the dresser, she placed the small feather next to her hand-mirror.

'I wanted to come back. I just hope that it was the right decision…'

The door whooshed open and Raven wandered the empty halls. She leaned against the wall, random thoughts of her mother, Azar, her home, Trigon and the last five years going through her mind. She put a hand to over mouth. Fear, sadness, anger, regret, despair, and pain overwhelmed her. A nearby light bulb exploded as the room grew slightly dark, and her breath grew short.

'Control it. Take a deep breath.'

She struggled to control it and maintain her composure. Images of her life with the Titans, her battle with Trigon, Azarath, and so forth flashed in her mind.

'Why am I thinking about this now? Keep calm. Keep calm. Keep calm.'

Raven didn't even notice how she ended up on the floor with her hands on her head, the room growing very dark.

'I can't. I can't. I can't.'

Using the last of her powers, she teleported out of the hallway. Her head was spinning, everything around her was nothing but colorful blurs. She popped her head up, sweat dripping down her face. Shock, fear and adrenaline coursing through her. Nothing looked familiar.

'Azar… Arella… Starfire… Cyborg… Robin… Beast Boy… I'm so sorry…'

Raven clutched her head, her breath short. Tears began to flow from her cheeks. The welling anxiety and fear became so overwhelming.

Rocks and boulders levitated into the air, and smashed against each other. Finally, she had enough and released all her pent up energy in a pulse of invisible energy. After several minutes, Raven caught her breath and the feeling dissipated.

'Why do I feel like this? I'm so pathetic!'

Anger quickly replaced helplessness, and rocks began to float in the air and slammed themselves against walls, shattering. She got to her feet, lifting multiple boulders and smashing them together. After several minutes, the demoness finally managed to calm down.

She looked around, finding herself in the ruins. She whipped the tears from her face before taking one last look at the crater and teleporting back to the tower.

Raven rose up through the floor of where she originally was. She lifted her hand, and the shattered light bulb repaired itself. She hurried over to her room, Beast Boy coming from his room.

"Hey Rae. Where've you been?"

Raven stayed silent for a brief moment, wondering how long she'd been gone.

"Out."

He gave a slight shrug before noticing her disposition.

"Is something wrong? Are you okay? You look upset."

"I just…I'm fine."

He gave her a concerned look before she began retreating in her room.

"Raven!"

She looked behind her.

"?"

"If…if there's anything you wanna talk about, anything at all, don't be afraid to tell us. We're here for you."

She gave him a small nod and a tiny smile before closing the door. Somehow, just that thought relieved her.

End Chapter.
