She could hear her girlfriends muffled voice as her feet padded down the hallway from the bathroom to her room. The blonde couldn't help but roll her eyes, she should've known that Rachel would call the father of their children the instant an opportunity to do so represented itself.

"Hey," the tiny diva greeted warmly as her eyes spotted Quinn in the doorway.

"I thought you would've joined me," she smiled.

"And what if your mom came home while we were in the shower together?" Rachel queried with an arched eyebrow.

"Mom's not stupid, Rach," she chuckled, "she knows we're...intimate together."

Her cheeks reddened at the thought of her girlfriends mother knowing such a thing, "I don't want to know how she knows that, do I?"

"Probably not," she pressed a kiss to the top of her loves head. "So how are the girls? I heard you talking so I'm just going to assume that you were on the phone to Puck."

Rachel sat up straighter, stretching out her spine, "You shouldn't assume things," she attempted to huff, "but in this case, yes, I was talking to Noah. The girls are good, Charlie slept through most of the night which is good."

"That is good," Quinn agreed as she unwrapped the towel from around her head and dumped it on her dresser.

"Noah said that he and his mom were taking the girls shopping."

"Oh God," the golden haired beauty groaned, "it is never a good thing when he takes Beth shopping, he always spends way too much. He's going to be so much worse with Charlie there as well."

"It's nice," Rachel mused out loud, "it's the first time Charlie's ever had a Daddy-daughter shopping trip." It warmed her heart to think that her daughter truly had a dad in her life and that she was getting to experience the same things as her sister, Beth.

"Don't tell Puck," Quinn jested as she took a seat on the bed beside her girlfriend, "he'll just use it as an excuse for more shopping trips with her."

Rachel giggled, "I'm not entirely sure that I feel that would be a bad thing."

"Puck's bank account would disagree," Quinn pointed out as she started brushing out her hair. "Why'd you call him, Rach? We're going to be seeing them this afternoon."

Rachel was silent a moment, she didn't want to worry the girl she loved so deeply, and she had been doing so well, she didn't want to admit that she was still healing after everything that had happened but she couldn't lie to Quinn, they'd come too far for that to happen. "...I had a nightmare..."

"Oh sweetie, why didn't you tell me?" She stroked her girlfriends forearm.

"I didn't want you to worry," the small girl admitted, "it's been a while since I've had any nightmares, any like this. I don't want to be getting bad again."

"Rachel..." she dropped the brush and pulled the smaller body against her own, wrapping her arms securely around the slightly trembling girl, "A nightmare doesn't mean things are going to go back to the way they were," she reassured. "You're so strong. So much stronger than you'll ever admit or realise. You have to remember it's ok to ask for help, ok, baby? If you have a nightmare, wake me up, and we'll talk about it and cuddle until you feel better. If you have a bad day, tell someone, me, your dads, Artie, there are so many people that care about you and will help you if you let them. You don't have to try and be strong in doing it alone, being strong is accepting help, you taught me that."

She listened to her girlfriend speak, she knew what the blonde was saying was true and for the most part she did ask for help when she needed but she had been getting used to not needing help, not when it came to the thing that had turned her entire world upside down and inside out. "I didn't want to wake you," she muttered feebly, "you looked so peaceful and it was our first night of not having to get up in the night for either of the girls, I didn't want to ruin that for you."

Damp blonde tresses shook lightly, "Rachel listen to me," she pulled back so she could look into deep pools of chocolate, "I don't care if I've been kept up all night and only just managed to get to sleep, I don't care what time it is and I certainly don't care if the girls are away for the night. If you ever need me, for anything, wake me up, it doesn't matter how peaceful I look, if you need me I'll be there for you, no matter what."

Rachel tilted her head and placed a delicate, lingering kiss on the lips she had come to memorise, "I don't know what I ever did to deserve you," she spoke softly.

A smile quirked the corners of the blondes mouth, "I find myself thinking that about you every day." She pecked her girlfriends lips, "Promise me that next time you'll wake me?"

The brunette nodded, "I promise." She nuzzled against Quinn and breathed in the scent of her skin mixed with body wash and shampoo, "I should go shower..." she was reluctant to leave the arms of her love.

Quinn hummed in agreement, "You should, we don't want to be late for our girls."

"If we are I'll tell them it's their Mama's fault."

"My fault?" Confusion resonated in her voice as her cheek rest against the top of Rachel's head.

"Yes, your fault. You're so warm and comfy, I don't want to leave," she admitted with a soft chuckle.

"How's this," Quinn reasoned, "you go shower now and when we get back from seeing our babies we can get all cuddled up with blankets and watch a movie?"

Rachel pulled back and gave Quinn a knowing look, "Because we wouldn't do that anyway?"

A breathy laugh filled the air, "You never know."

"Ok, I'm going," she made to stand up, "but just so you know, your reasoning technique could do with some work," she smirked before heading out of the room.

Puck opened the door with Charlie balanced on his hip, "Hey," he grinned, genuinely happy to see the mothers of his daughters, even if they were checking up on him.

"I hear you've been shopping," she greeted with a quirked eyebrow before adding pointedly, "again."

"Hey baby," Rachel smiled at her daughter before relieving Puck of the small child, "did you miss Mommy?"

"I should've known that you guys weren't actually coming to see me," he let out a short laugh and stepped aside so that the two young women could come in.

"Where's Beth?" The blonde queried.

"In the lounge," Puck replied over his shoulder as he led them all to the room in question. Beth was happily occupied on her interactive walker.

"She really does love that thing," Quinn said fondly. Beth was beginning to not need the walker, she could toddle along quite well on her own but the walker was helpful when eyes couldn't be permanently glued to her to make sure she didn't hurt herself.

"She looks quite happy over there," Rachel voiced as she held Charlie close, warding off the remnants of her nightmare and reassuring herself that her family was ok.

"Yeah, keeps her out of mischief," Puck chuckled.

Hazel eyes spotted a group of bags stacked by the armchair, "What on earth have you been buying now?"

Puck scratched at the back of his neck, "Just a few things..."

"A few?" Quinn's voice went up in pitch.

"I must say, Noah," Rachel joined in, "it does look like you bought quite a lot."

"Just wait until you see the big thing I bought," he teased.

"I don't like the sound of that," Quinn groaned.

"Wait here," the young man instructed before disappearing in the direction of the kitchen.

"I don't even know what's in the bags and I can already tell he's spent far too much," Rachel worried.

"I wouldn't worry to much, Rach, he knows his limits, mostly." Quinn worried her bottom lip between her teeth, worried that the father of their children had gone too far this time, he'd never been shopping with both of the girls before and if the bags were anything to go by, he'd gotten a little more than carried away with himself.

"Tada!" Puck announced as he wheeled a double stroller into the lounge, "What d'ya think? Now we won't have to worry about taking two strollers out or anything."

Part of the blonde wanted to smack the boy she had once slept with up the side of the head, the other part was touched and proud at his thoughtful and practical purchase.

"Noah..." Rachel was dumbfounded, "it's too much. You have to let me give you some money towards it, those things aren't cheap."

Puck held his hand up to silence the women, "You need to chill. It's fine, I got it. I had some money put aside, what better way to spend it than on the girls? Besides, it's going to make life easier having a double stroller and you know it."

Quinn leaned in close to her girlfriend and grumbled in her ear, "I hate it when he's right."

Rachel gave a subtle nod of agreement before returning to debate with the young man that had stepped up to be Daddy to Charlie, "That money should've been used for something that you wanted, Noah."

"It was," Puck countered with a nonchalant shrug, "I wanted to not have to figure out how to push two strollers and this," he waved his arm at the stroller, "does just that."

"That's not what I meant and you know it," the brunette huffed. "I'm giving you some money towards it," she said firmly.

"No, you're not," his voice was just as firm but quickly softened, "Rachel, you pay for Charlie's clothes, food, diapers, and everything, it's only fair that I buy some of her stuff too."

"My dads help," Rachel offered feebly.

Quinn could tell where this was headed and knew, much to her annoyance, that Puck would win this argument.

"And now I'm helping," he stepped closer to the woman he was arguing with and gently took her hands within his own, "Rachel, I'm their dad, both Beth's and Charlie's, let me spend money on them."

The tiny diva let out a breath, "Fine, but just so know, using the dad card is cheating."

A smirk spread across Puck's face, "Maybe, but it worked."

Author's note: So I think I might actually post another chapter tonight, mainly because I had so much fun writing the next chapter. I've just finished writing chapter 44 and I think I know what the next few chapters are, sort of. What's everyones thoughts on Nationals? I can't decide if I want to write the actual competition or not, I mean I could, I have one song picked out and another one that was actually done on Glee but I just...I'm not feeling it for some reason, I think if I were to try and write it it would be a piss poor job and would generally just suck but if you guys maybe have thoughts/ideas/suggestions (especially when it comes to possible songs) then I'm all ears. In other news, I may have possibly, slightly, only a little bit, started writing the sequel to this. Yes, there's going to be another sequel, I have far too many ideas in my head (it's not good) and I can't seem to walk away from the girls.
