Hi guys. *Sweats nervously* It's been like a year since I updated again. I really need to stop that and be more consistent.
I've been busy with school and work and lots of family problems, plus I'm lazy and I forgot what the hell I was writing. Sorry y'all. Well this story is about half way finished.

Not gonna lie, I hate this chapter. On paper and in my dream, it was such a good idea but as I wrote it...it just didn't look good. Plus it didn't make sense.
Forgive me, it's been like a year since I wrote anything that wasn't school related.
OTL

But I swear next chapter is gonna be really good: *Spoiler alert: Terra and Raven finally confront each other!*

Chapter 16: Defeated

"STARFIRE!"

The Titans looked in horror at the smoking radio tower, all except for the Titan leader who was still unconscious on the roof of the car. The hooded figure just smiled as it waltzed nonchalantly towards the group of heroes. Two Titans were already been taken down from the man without so far as a scratch on him. Worst yet, innocent people had already been hurt and this being didn't even care. In fact, it enjoyed it.

Beast Boy, Cyborg, Terra and Raven glared at this being. The fear that they felt before from him was growing exponentially. He was just as strong as Raven was but unlike her, he wasn't holding back. What this being was, they did not know. None of their attacks had worked, and even a combined attack from Cyborg and Starfire did nothing.

"Are you going to listen now?" it started with a smile. "Or am I going to have to mow down every one of these pathetic wimps?" it frowned.

Beast Boy took a small step back, a drop of nervous sweat ran down his face. This guy was serious. He'd kill everyone; the Titans, the citizens, no one was safe. His animal instincts were telling him to run, run as far away as possible and fast as possible. The green shape-shifter was becoming very afraid. His eyes drew to Terra. She was shaking, her breath quite shallow. He could smell her fear and drew his eyes behind him to Raven.

Raven seemed to be fairing slightly better but also worse in her own way. Her purple eyes held an empty look coupled with fear, anger and sadness but looked like she'd lost hope.

They were all in such shock, they didn't notice him making his way towards the sorceress. Raven snapped out of it when she felt a hand under her chin. She looked up at the towering man in front of her. It was as if all the floodgates were opened; every fear she could have imagined was released. Her breaths became very shallow and she began to quake. Just being in his man's presence was draining, both emotionally and physically.

Beast Boy snapped out of it to see the man with his hands on Raven. Instinct took over. His body felt so numb and his legs felt like jelly. It was as if something took control over him and his body just moved and he charged the man like a bear protecting her cubs.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!"

The figure turned its head at the charging boy. An amused smile crossed its features before turning its head back at the demoness. It caught the changeling by his throat. It would not hesitate to kill the green Titan. Bored, it tossed the struggling boy into the blonde girl who just came back to her senses.

"Oof!"

"Huuuuuraaaaah!" Cyborg charged at the cloaked man as well.

It frowned. "Your friends are idiots."

It whipped around and bounded on a street light and hopped to another one before dismounting in front of the metallic man and high kicking him in the face.

"I thought I dealt with you already! I guess I'll just turn you into scrap metal!"

Cyborg caught his leg and began spinning him around before tossing him into a building. The metal man charged towards the building while Beast Boy approached the shuddering sorceress.

"Raven! Are you-?"

"Get away from me!"

Before a word could come out of his mouth, he heard a grunt from Cyborg as he landed on the ground with a loud THUD!

A growl escaped the cloaked man's lips. He was clearly losing his patience.

"Why do you continue shielding her? Do you have any inkling of what she's done?"

"Why does that matter?"

The figure let out a scoffed and pointed a finger at the enchantress.

"She's gotten into so much trouble. Manipulating all of you to serve as some deluded sense of redemption when deep down, she's as much of a monster as me."

Beast Boy looked at her, his brows furrowed and in confusion.

"And she knows it." He frowned. "She could kill me and all of you if she wanted. But, she's holding back for some goddamned reason. The Raven that I know of would never do that."

"Obviously you don't know Raven."

"Hahah! That's where you're wrong; clearly, you don't. I didn't come here to fight this washed-up version of her; I came for the Raven that can murder a thousand men with a single glare, I want the Raven who strikes fear into the hearts of even the most courageous, I want the Raven that would kill someone in front of those she loved."

The green changeling's shocked expression was caught by the cloaked man. He looked over to Raven who had just gotten to her feet.

"It looks like my reputation precedes me and follows me everywhere I go, even come back here."

The figure grinned. The air had grown harsh and cold, stifling even.

"You want the Raven of old? You got her."

With the force of a jet, Raven rushed at the speed that the human eye could not follow. It took a milisecond for him to react and the two clashed. Their cloaks billowed around them wildly and black lighting zipped. A small black sphere began to entrap them and a crater began forming at their feet.

"Why the hesitation? You could easily wipe me out!" he barked as he began to win the power struggle.

Raven's glare intensified and she stomped her foot and she easily pushed him back. The struggle finally broke when Raven slammed her shin into his side. She took advantage when he dropped his guard and grabbed his throat. Raven hurled him into the air and shattered her own forcefield. She zipped up in the air and re-appeared right behind him and sent him flying in another direction. The Titans looked on at the aerial display as the cloaked man was unable to defend himself.

The man flipped around in the air, clashing with the demoness. Then they disappeared, reappearing again several seconds later. Their clashes would only last for seconds at a time and they were moving at such a speed that no one could follow.

"What the hell is going on up there?" Cyborg asked as he clutched his wounds.

"They're so fast, I can't even keep up."

"See! I keep telling that the witch is responsible for all of this! None of you listened to me!"

The bickering three were cut off when they heard a crash several meters away from them. Raven hovered in the air, her eyes glowing a ghostly white as the man on the ground looked up. He smirked as he disappeared. Raven scanned the area, predicting that he'd pop up behind her. A cliche' move.

What Raven did not expect was that he'd reappear in the middle of the three Titans. He grabbed Terra by the throat and threw her into a stop sign. She let out a grunt as she glared up and fell unconscious.

"Ter-"

Cyborg was next to be the object of the man's rage. He was lifted into the air and chucked at another building.

"Guess your next." Beast Boy backed up.

Raven teleported in between them.

"Aw...you don't want me to kill him?"

"All the people that died today...their blood is on your hands!"

He scoffed as he tilted his head to the side. His hood barely showing his face and the silvery strands of his hair glinting in the sunlight.

"Oh please...everyone's always about killing. They're all going to die anyway. Besides, its what we do."

Raven's hands glowed white, her hair and cloak whipping behind her.

"Besides..." he grinned, "you have blood on your hands as well!"

Raven's eyes and hands lost it's glow.

"Your mother's, Azar's, the people of Azarath, many more."

"Their blood was on Trigon's hands!" Raven roared.

"All because you were allowed to exist!" he smiled devilishly.

Raven's eyes glowed white and fisted her hands as she conjured giant crescent-shaped energy discs.

"Oh shit!" he dodged out of the way as the scythes sliced. Raven followed his movements and the blades followed him.

"Raven! What the hell is he talking about?!" Beast Boy barked furiously behind her.

"I.."

All of the emotion was harbored inside the sorceress was released and she unleashed a powerful pulse of power, pushing the green changeling. He grunted as he hit a car. He could have sworn he heard a couple of his ribs crack, and possibly his arm before collapsing on the cement. The green morpher let out a pained groan as he looked at the sight.

Raven was clutching her head as she dropped to her knees. He crawled towards her. The cloaked figure grinned as he approached. Raven gasped as she felt the fear returning. Why did he instill such a fear in her? After all that she'd overcome, she still felt this way?

He knelt down in front of her, the fear hit her full force. He grabbed the bottom of her chin, and grinned. She couldn't move and it felt like her power was being drained.

"Ra-Raven!"

The cloaked figure touched his forehead to her own. During that contact, the last five years flashed before her eyes and she let out an ear-shattering scream.

Beast Boy felt a surge of energy and rage. Something awoke in him; a form he hadn't used in the last five years. He grew in size, easily ten maybe twelve feet tall, green fur erupted all over him. His forearms grew huge like a gorilla and long claws. His eyes turned into a white color, vicious with rage.

The Beast had been unleashed.

It let out a roar, catching the cloaked man off-guard. He let out an amused smile as he stood up. The Beast charged at such a fury, but the man lept back. He dodged all of the green creature's swipes. It was such a sight; a green Sasquatch-like creature fighting a magical monster. The two were at it for a good 30 seconds.

"Beast Boy?!" Starfire breathed.

She was clutching her side, gashes were up and down her torso, her clothes were torn and blood seeped from her head. The green Beast looked up seeing his friend. The other Titans were recovering and starting to gather, all except for Raven.

The cloaked man stretched and let out a chuckle. "I guess this is where I take my leave."

"W-wait!" Robin called tiredly.

The mysterious man held out his hand and a blue portal opened up that he stepped through. He was gone, just like that.

The Titans just looked confused. Beast Boy shrunk in size and hobbled over to Raven, much to the Titans' inattention.

"Raven! Raven!"

They were all brought back to reality and eyes shot to the two.

"Raven!" he repeated as he shook her.

It wasn't working, her eyes held a glassy empty look. She was in shock. The empath blinked before her eyes closed and her body went limp.

End.

So what do you think?
Again, I'm thinking of doing a sequel to this story. Do you guys want 1? Lemme know!
