It's been a while. Hope you all enjoy.
As they climbed the steps, the noise of the agents above them grew louder. There was a nervous calm surrounding everything. Beside him, Brom was silent and Murtagh was keeping pace a few steps back. Having him out of sight with a gun in his hands was not making Eragon comfortable in the least, but he had no choice. The decision for Murtagh to join them had been made without him. Obviously he didn't know all of the details, but he didn't know what Murtagh and Thorn could've said to convince even Saphira they were legitimate. He shook his head. Focusing on that was going to cause him worry he couldn't afford. Instead he turned to Brom.
"I've only had the pleasure of meeting you once and you seemed to be in a hurry somewhere. You're legacy here is all I know of you."
The man glanced at him, intelligent eyes studying his face.
"That's all most people know. And what of you? I've been watching your progress and you've made waves with each mission you complete. Ajihad claims you could be the reason we come out on top in the end."
Eragon's brow rose.
"Honestly?"
Brom nodded.
"Honestly."
Eragon was about to respond when they reached the top of the stairs and pushed through onto the combat floor. Eragon's eyes widened and he whistled. The room was definitely made for defense. It was like a fortress, a trap set up for any enemy stupid enough to attack the Varden. There was 6 zones according to the battle plan Ajihad had set up. Arya and him were taking the front, holding the barricades there with troops under their command. Eragon would hold the right with Brom and Murtagh, picking off enemy soldiers as they advanced. Nasuada and Orik had the same task on the other side. It would be difficult to be sure, many would die, and escaping in the end without interference from the United States government would be all but impossible. But as long as Arya made it through in one piece he would accept any loss. Even his own death.
They all took their ordered locations, filing into empty slots and acquainting themselves with the agents around them. Brom stood with him for a time, watching silently as the men and women around them settled into position and watched the door with tense nervousness. Trying to shove thoughts of Arya from his mind, he carried on the conversation with Brom.
"How long have you worked with the Varden?"
The older gentleman looked on him with knowing eyes.
"There is no need for you to bury your fears with pointless chatter. Arya Drottingu is one of the best there is. If anyone is going to make it through, it is her. Take your worry and make something good of it. Fight harder and end this quickly."
Eragon raised a brow, a small smirk on his face.
"I must not be as good as I believed at masking my emotions."
A mysterious glint came into his fellow agent's eye.
"I just know what you're feeling. I've seen and experienced it all before."
Without thought Eragon tilted his head and asked a question he should've kept to himself.
"Do you have somebody here as well?"
The stoney expression that befell the man's face was instant and nerve wracking. With a dead voice Brom responded.
"No."
With that he turned and walked to his own position, shoulders stiff and walk calculated. Eragon watched him leave, intense curiosity filling him.
"Damn what did you say to him?"
He turned to find Murtagh leaning against the barrier beside him. Eragon almost snarled in annoyance.
"Why do you think it's ok to speak to me as if we were all good? As if you were actually Devon and you didn't work for one of the most depraved and psychotic men in the world until all of six months ago? Back the fuck off."
Murtagh shrugged.
"Little bro, I don't give a shit about your biased opinion of me or what you believe. I can't prove my honesty to you with words. I'm just dealing with this the best way I know how and you are making it really difficult."
There was still a teasing lilt to his voice and it was making Eragon's anger rise. He got in his 'brother's' face and glared.
"I can't wait for you to turn on me so I can stab a blade through your throat."
Murtagh laughed, opening his arms.
"Go ahead man. I went through worse with Durza as my torturer. Just please, don't mar my sexy face. Gotta look good when people are desecrating my grave."
The morbid humor and all around carelessness was actually amusing him although he'd never allow it to show.
"Screw you."
"I'd rather you didn't."
Murtagh fell back a few paces as he said it, a grin plastered on his face. Rolling his eyes, Eragon faced the door once more. There was a chance of attack at any moment and he was trying to stay focused. Instead, his mind traveled to the facts of the current situation. Mostly about how Galbatorix's men had found their location and how the hell they'd gotten over a thousand soldiers into the state of Arkansas. He radioed Saphira.
"Saphira do we know how they knew where we were or how they got here without our knowledge?"
It took a few seconds for her to respond.
"From what we can tell they've been planning this for a very long time. Since right after Chile. They've moved in to the buildings surrounding us, killing any necessary to complete the ruse. I'm assuming they got the information from the twins before we discovered their treachery. Although, I meticulously went over their relays with Galbatorix and there was nothing about our location. It was all agent placement and mission run-throughs. Maybe there was a code embedded within it. If we make it out alive I'll have to check it out."
He winced at the word 'if,' giving her a short word of thanks and turning to the agent next to him. She was most likely in her mid thirties and her face was hard. There was no fear in her eyes and he wished immediately he was feeling how she looked. Glancing across the room he saw Arya speaking with Ajihad and motioning to those in her command. Her eyes ran across him and she seemed startled to find him watching her, as if she'd been checking up on him for the past twenty minutes. He held her gaze for several seconds, wishing he could stand at her side through this whole thing and watch her back as they always did. She was the first to look away, her focus returning to the task at hand.
Almost an hour later, the sound of explosions rocked the air. The room went eerily quiet, guns were trained on the only possible breach point, and he was hardly breathing as he waited. Finally, the sounds of the enemy were heard and he yelled for his agents to steady themselves. The orders of the others were heard above the noise and adrenaline began to once again pump heavily through his veins. The doors exploded outward and screams tore through the room as the enemy charged into gunfire. Countless were gunned down as they entered the open space, having no chance to fire or even take cover.
As the bodies tallied up, he started to notice a failure of improvement. Every soldier running in was careless, not even trying to find protection before they got taken out. He remembered back to the mission end briefing he'd had weeks before, recollecting the mention of a new serum that screwed with the brain and pain receptors. If they were sending sheep in to be slaughtered, the wolves must be. . . . A sudden panic scorched his chest as he shouted in his mic to Saphira.
"Are there any other way for them to get in here!?"
"What? No it wouldn't be possible! Not without somebody on the in. . . . Eragon if they were helped, they could enter through the garage! It has the least security and nobody watching it."
He swore violently, tapping several agents on the shoulder and motioning for them to follow him. He sprinted to Brom, screeching to a halt and trying to explain as quickly as possible. The man nodded grimly and sent a quarter of his own charge to tail him. The sound of battle surrounded them as they sprinted towards the stairs, alerting those near them to watch their backs for possible attack. Their feet clattered along the steps and he had just reached the basement level when bullets scattered about, taking out several that had come with him. He pulled back, taking cover by the railing and yanking his agents back with him. Bullets sprayed the ground at his feet and he radioed once more, making sure everyone could hear him.
"They have breached below! Repeat, they are coming up the west stairwell!"
Panicked shouts and orders followed his announcement as he tried to back his team up the steps to the protection of the rest of the Varden. He heard Arya's voice calling for her team to remain focused on the front, leaving Brom and Nasuada to deal with anything ascending the steps. Gunfire was ceaseless and echoing through the building, allowing no time or capability of serious thought. He had ascended another floor when the cock of guns behind him made him freeze. A laugh, one he thought he'd never hear again, rang viciously around him. He whirled, facing the demon spawn he'd sworn he'd killed months before.
"Oh my dear boy how good it is to see you again."
Knowing he was done, he clicked his radio and spoke,
"Arya I-."
With that, shots tore through the air without mercy.
-A-R-Y-A-
She fired continuously, taking out wave after wave of the enemy, disturbed at their idiocy. Her worry, fear; it was all pushed to the back of her mind, adrenaline taking point. But when Eragon called for Saphira's aid and took off out of the room, a very large part of her was almost paralyzed with terror. A bullet whizzed by her head, bringing her back to the present as she took out two more enemy soldiers. While they went down easy, every on came in shooting, making it a hazard to simply rise above the barricade. An agent was downed beside her and she crouched low, trying to see if there was a possibility of saving him. No pulse thudded under her fingers and she cursed silently as she took four more shots. Looking to her right, she saw Ajihad yank a fellow soldier from a standing position, only for his body to jolt forward as a bullet lodged itself in his chest. She sprinted to him immediately, her mind only on saving him.
"Ajihad!"
He winced, pulled up a hand covered in blood.
"Shit!" She looked to the agent next to him. "Put pressure on the wou-"
"Arya! I'm done. Fight and win. Whatever happens, make sure we bloody win." She shook her head at his surrender, slapping his face lightly when he closed his eyes to keep him awake. His hand tightened over hers. "Let me go. And tell Nasuada I love her."
He slumped against the wall and she felt a burning in her eyes as the life left him.
"Fuck!"
She raised her weapon and fired several more shots, rage building in her to the point that common sense was far gone. She missed several radio calls from different leaders, completely ignoring them until her name was clearly stated in her ear. The sound after what was said, not the words, were what chilled her to the bone.
"Arya I. . .
Bullet sounds screeched deafeningly through her ears and she felt her chest tighten so much she couldn't breathe. The sudden realization that she might have once again lost him, this time permanently, was overwhelming any other sense. Without a word to those around her she took off for the stairwell. Tears streamed unnoticed down her face as she leapt down the stairs, desperately trying to get to him, to see that he was alright. A voice from the past stopped her cold.
"You thought I was dead, yes?"
Eragon's haggard voice filled her with relief and her lost sense.
"Yes."
She slowed to a stop, silently making her way down the steps and peering over the rail. There was twenty enemy agents, guns raised, standing behind the red-haired devil she'd seen die. Eragon was kneeling in a pool of blood from his soldiers, his own body covered with it. She could see scratches and injuries covering his flesh and he was slumping forward. Durza laughed evilly.
"Aww my friend of course not. I am Durza. I'm a fucking god."
Eragon spat in front of him, earning a rage filled look from the maroon-eyed beast. He threw a knife, the blade slicing a massive gash in Eragon's shoulder. A pain-filled groan escaped his lips and she clenched her fists, trying to find some way to get him from their grasp. Durza continued his speech as his warriors watched with worry at their leader's failure to kill the remaining enemy.
"I have been waiting for this moment for quite some time and your pain is going to bring me so much pleasure."
One of the soldier stepped forward with a frown.
"Sir, what of helping our friends up top?"
Without warning Durza stabbed the man in the eye, sending him wailing to the ground with a thud. She then knew with sick certainty that Durza was completely insane. Glancing down at her belt, she found she still had three grenades. The enemy soldiers were slowly stepping away from their boss, fear on their faces. Eragon laughed.
"Even your own men are hesitant to follow in your madness. You have literally no power anymore."
Durza snarled, chucking another blade at Eragon, this one slicing past his face and leaving a straight-edged wound across his cheek. She palmed her grenades, knowing one more snarky comment from Eragon would be his death. Three. . . two. . . She went on two, not having the patience for one, and flicked the pins from the grenades.
"Eragon get down!"
He fell to the ground as she released the explosives, continuing into a roll and throwing herself over him. The inferno that raged about them was scorching, singing her hair and clothing. After a moment of reorienting herself, she pushed to her feet and looked at the haggard corpses about her. She picked up two guns, waiting for the smoke to clear, finding Durza in the wreckage of bodies. He was strewn across two others, his body half unraveled. He filled her with a hatred so deep it was almost consuming. She raised one of her weapons, unloading a clip into his skull and making damn sure he was not coming back. Eragon was just standing as she turned and she walked over to him.
"You ok?"
He stirred, his lashes flickering as he regained his full awareness. A smile reached his eyes when he saw her; that is, until he saw the tear streaks on her cheeks. He stroked her cheek with a frown.
"Hey what's wrong. Are you ok?"
She almost sobbed in annoyance and continued relief.
"Yes. I'm fine. We need to get you safe. With their leader gone they wont sacrifice themselves for much longer. Now they'll be focused on escape."
He nodded and she spoke to Saphira through the earpiece to explain what happened. When she finished she took a deep breath.
"I need to get him help. How is the battle going?"
Saphira was worried but calm as she responded.
"They're retreating. Everyone is scattered."
She ripped part of her shirt and pressed it against his gouge.
"Good. I'm bringing Eragon up."
"Arya no."
"What?"
Saphira sighed.
"Get out of here. Everyone is clearing out. We need to disappear as soon as possible. People have been called in and the government will be here soon. You're already at the garage. Just take something and get out of here."
She switched directions, pulling him to the garage.
"Roger. Is there any heat signatures down here?"
"Not that I can see but our system was hacked so I have no clue. Shruikan was actually able destroy our countless security measures and firewalls. He released the garage entrance, allowing Durza in. I'm sure he wasn't planning on the demon's madness to ruin it all. I'm cutting transmission now. For the next few days you guys are going to have to lay low. Don't try and contact anyone and avoid making a scene. Good luck."
Arya threw her earpiece down as they entered the massive space for cars and she located one with heavily tinted windows. A silver Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. She led Eragon to it, helping him inside and sprinting to the driver's side. The exit door, already open, was waiting for them to escape. She gunned the vehicle, spinning out of the building and into the colorful tree coated scenery. Arya followed paths she knew well, glancing at Eragon every few seconds to make sure he was still doing alright. They were both getting blood all over the leather seats but she could care less. As long as they got out of the area she would be able to deal with everything. He groaned and lifted his head, looking at the the bloodied rag in his hand.
"You know, I really hate getting stabbed. I mean, why can't people just use guns?"
Despite the situation she smiled.
"And why are you always the one being wounded? I can't deal with the amount of times I've almost lost you."
She was continuing his joke but the reality of her comment was striking. He leaned his seat back, his eyes closing to try and relax a bit.
"You know I would have it no other way. You're stronger than I am. I wouldn't survive your near death."
She sighed, trying to calm herself as well until they were out of the area. She kept her eyes peeled for any enemy agents remaining but they'd most likely taken off as quickly as possible after the blatant psychotic break of their leader. She ran her hand through her hair, trying to come up with some sort of plan to get out of sight quickly and quietly. Thirty minutes later the reached a major highway, only for her to slam on her brakes at the sight of flashing lights. She swore, throwing the car into reverse. They spun around, the tires squealing as they took off the other direction to the sound of blaring horns. Eragon jerked his eyes open, looking confused before he noted her pensive face.
"Arya what happened?"
She turned off onto a backroad, glancing behind her every couple seconds in case somebody had noticed their suspicious behavior.
"There's a roadblock back that way. Whether it's Durza's cleanup crew or the government, there's no way we're getting through with blood all over us and your arm pouring out like Niagara Falls."
She looked worriedly at his shoulder. They had to get the wound cleaned before the damage was increased and the spot infected. She racked her brain for possibilities, knowing any kind of hospital was out of the question. When the answer came to her she winced. This was going to be a difficult couple of days. She began to follow a route she knew all too well, turning down side streets and alleys until she reached the bar she had frequented the five months Eragon had been absent from her. He frowned.
"Where are we?"
She pulled into one of the only car parking spaces and closed her eyes.
"I came here a lot while you were gone. Became friends with the people inside. I know somebody who will help us."
He raised a brow.
"You frequented a biker bar?"
She nodded, searching for her friend's bike. He was here almost every day after five and it was bordering ten thirty at the moment. She finally spotted the Black and Silver Indian Chief that belonged to Gabriel. She looked at Eragon.
"Wait here."
As she moved to get out her grabbed her arm.
"Arya you have blood all over you. This is a bad idea."
She nodded.
"It's a terrible idea but it's the only option we have. Just stay here and don't die."
With that she opened her door removed her body armor before heading to the entrance. The bar was always dimly lit and she hoped that upon first inspection the blood on her face and arms would look like mud. Many looked her way but she ignored them, instead searching for a familiar pair of gray-blue eyes. When she met them she found the face they belonged to frowning deeply. She didn't make any motion except the slight nod of her head for him to follow her. Without looking to make sure he was doing so, she retreated back toward the parking lot. She heard the door open behind her and Gabe called for her. She slowed to a stop.
"I need your help."
He came into step beside her, leaning away as he took in her appearance. Suddenly he was gripping her shoulders and whirling her to face him.
"What the hell happened to you?!"
She chuckled.
"It's a long story. Can you help me?"
He started to answer when she heard Eragon get out of the car and stumble onto the pavement. Gabriel made to stand in front of her, not knowing who it was, but she slipped past him.
"For fucks sake, Eragon. Why are you getting out of the car?"
He was leaning exhaustedly against the side, glancing at Gabe.
"I don't know this guy. He seemed to be getting aggressive."
She could hear the pain and tiredness in his voice. It had been over an hour now and he was still losing blood. She stopped in front of him, pushing his hair off his forehead to check his temperature. After a moment she shook her head and looked to Gabe.
"I need you to help me get him somewhere safe. You own a ranch, correct?" The biker nodded. "Please take us there."
The shock had worn off and her friend came forward, helping to support Eragon. They moved him back to the passenger seat and she closed the door behind him. Gabe nodded.
"Follow me."
Twenty minutes later they were pulling onto private property. Gabriel had said before he had over two hundred acres of land. After almost a mile down his driveway she caught sight of the house. It was decent sized and well taken care of. She rolled to a stop and got out, circling to Eragon's side. With Gabe's help they got him inside. To her surprise a woman was waiting for them with a cot set up and a first aid kit.
"I'm Gabriel's wife Theresa. Don't worry about me freaking out. My husband's come home many a time with some kind of injury or another. Lay him here."
Arya gave a grateful smile, leaning Eragon back and searching the table beside her for the things she would need. She used a knife to slice his shirt around the wound before taking hold of a clean cloth and grabbing the antiseptic. She spoke his name and he immediately woke, looking around pensively until he saw her face. She halted her movement.
"Just relax."
He seemed coherent enough to understand what she was doing and rested his head once more on the table. Arya poured the alcohol into the wound slowly. He uttered not a sound, only revealing his pain in a slight wince. Working with surgical precision, she cleaned the wound and stitched it closed. When she tried to place a bandage on it he pushed her hand away.
"I'm fine."
She gripped his wrist and moved it aside.
"Eragon I'm wrapping it up."
He tried to roll away and almost fell off the cot.
"But it itches against the stitches."
He was slipping into sleep and she couldn't help but smile as he whined.
She softly turned him onto his back once more, running her hand gently through his hair.
"Just go to sleep. You can take it off tomorrow."
He groaned and slumped back as she taped a bandage over the injury. When that was done, she addressed any remaining wounds and then Gabe helped her move him into a spare room.
"I have a second one for you unless you'd like to stay."
She glanced at Eragon.
"I'll stay. Thank you again. So much. And thank your wife for me. I'll do it personally tomorrow."
Her friend nodded, looking once more at Eragon before heading out the door.
"Night, little bird."
She settled down next to Eragon, falling asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow.
-E-R-A-G-O-N-
He woke with a throbbing in his shoulder and a splitting headache that made him want to groan in pain. He would've if he wasn't so tired. A warm presence at his side drew his attention and he found Arya curled up beside him, her hair splayed everywhere and her hand resting in his. He smiled, feeling completely at peace then. Within minutes he was out again. By the next time he opened his eyes she was gone. Worry filled him until he heard her chuckle from outside the room. Curiosity getting the better of him, he rolled carefully onto his feet, threw on a shirt, and pushed the door open. Several seconds later he descended the steps to find three people at a kitchen table, eating breakfast.
Arya's eyes found his immediately and he was touched by the concern and care he saw in them. Closely after the two others in the room caught sight of him. The older woman smiled warmly and stood, grabbing him a plate and loading it with pancakes and fruit.
"Are you feeling better?"
He nodded kindly at the lady.
"Much. Thank you."
The man however, watched him closely as if looking for something hidden. Eragon ignored his steady glare, instead vouching to sit beside Arya and eat in peace. The biker was the first to speak.
"Little bird are you not going to introduce your guest?"
Confusion filled Eragon and he looked about the room, trying to figure out who he meant. When he saw Arya's cheeks tinge a slight pink he realized it was her.
"Little bird?"
She shrugged.
"He's called me that from the beginning. Never got an answer as to why."
It was then that he noticed the older woman's sad eyes. She patted her husband's hand.
"May as well relieve the suspense, Gabe." She smiled at them. "Little bird was our daughter's nickname before she passed. Her real name was Lily but her hair was the color of raven feathers. Hence the nickname. Gabe told me about you, Arya, but I hardly believed anyone's hair could look the same. I was mistaken."
Sympathy entered Arya's eyes.
"What happened to her, if I may ask?"
Gabe cleared his throat gruffly.
"Leukemia. Died over twenty years ago at the age of nine. Now please, I still haven't been properly introduced to this young man."
Eragon, feeling this was going to be a test, reached out his hand.
"My name is Eragon Shay, sir."
His hand was taken and a firm handshake was made. As he retracted Gabe continued.
"And who are you to Arya."
Eragon shifted uncomfortably.
"I . . . well, I'm not exactly clear on that."
Beside him Arya sighed.
"Gabe this is my boyfriend Eragon. Eragon, this is my friend Gabriel."
Pride swelled in his chest at the title and he grinned at her. She rolled her eyes and continued eating. Gabe on the other hand hardly nodded.
"How come you weren't sure?
Eragon glanced at Arya.
"Well I was never made aware of our status."
She narrowed her eyes at him in annoyance but didn't speak. Gabriel seemed to want to question him more but for some reason refrained. The rest of the meal was spent in relative peace, Theresa as pleasant as ever and Gabe completely untrusting but silent about it. He brought up a topic near the end of the meal that he didn't know how to proceed with.
"Arya has explained a bit of what's going on. Obviously you two can remain here for as long as you need. You will need to help out around the ranch and do a couple chores here and there." He looked at Eragon. "We can find something gentle for you to do with that arm. I'm going to get started with the ranchmen. They're a bit rough around the edges but they're good people."
Eragon heard the subtle insult but ignored it. With that Gabe stood, kissing his wife on the cheek before exiting the room. Theresa smiled at him.
"Don't mind him. He's just very protective of Arya. It's rather endearing to me."
He chuckled.
"I've dealt with worse. Thank you again for the breakfast."
He began to carry his plate to the sink when she shooed him.
"No no I've got this. Arya show him the extra clothing we have for him and get him cleaned up. You can help out afterward."
He smiled gratefully and followed Arya up the steps to a room he had yet to see. It looked like another guest room and laid out on the bed was several different sized clothing. She grabbed a white tank top, somehow knowing his size, and then tossed him a pair of jeans. Her eyes remained averted as he removed his bloodied and cut shirt. He grinned, wrapping his arms around her and resting his chin on her shoulder.
"What's going on, Arya? You seem. . . off."
She rested her head against him, accepting his embrace.
"I don't want to put these people in danger. It's not fair at all."
"I think we're safe here for a few days. We can move on soon to keep everyone guessing. In a few weeks we will need to get to England or Russia somehow."
She sighed, giving her agreement with only a nod.
John: Lol why did you think it was bull crap? I'm glad I changed your mind on it though. Also, I can't figure out if I've already responded to this review or not because it's been so long. Thank you and if you made an account you wouldn't have to check all the time because if you followed it would send you an email saying I updated. I'm not done haha. Have you gotten a license yet?
Ocadioan: Yeah they are. I like that you look so deeply into the things happening. It's cool reading your opinions because they're all really well thought out. I explained how in this chapter. It was slowly, a few men at a time, and over several months. Yeah I'll definitely keep that in mind.
ht289: Thanks :) Hope her payback was sufficient in the chapter.
FanBoyNinja: Thanks :) And Thorn and Murtagh are difficult to bring into the story but I'm trying to give them both bigger roles.
TheLoneVoyager: I'm just taking parts of the books and switching crap around. Idk how long this will be as I haven't figured out a perfect place to end it yet. Thank you I promise when it does end it will be epic (I hope) lol.
Walter Peterson: Ahh gotcha. I think I'm going to keep Murtagh on the good side in this story but I honestly am not sure. He might still go evil again. Thanks! You'll have to type out the site again it cut it out. Put spaces between parts of it.
Olaf the Snowman: A little of Eragon and Brom. There will be more to come.
DefaultTexture: :) Thank you! There was blades just on one end. Hope you liked it.
Tamer-El: I know I got so excited when Lois came into the story! I was dying haha. Thank you!
Rainxoxo: Aww cool. I should watch more of the olympics. How is the novel going? I would like to read it! Yeah I got drunk for the first and last time the other week. The fun of being drunk does not outweigh the pain of the next morning. I felt so crap. I can have just as much fun without poisoning myself. I def know the feeling of having no time. I got a new job and moved out and I literally never have free time :/ I love Eragon as a dark horse character I'm just always worried about people's responses to it. One day I might start him a little darker but we'll see. I hate when Faolin is alive in stories though lol. It makes me hate his character irrationally. I can see how it's really good for a story though. I'd also like to read that story because it sounds pretty interesting. I'm writing a self-indulgent piece as well that is super fluffy and has no real plot. Yeah I feel bad about that cliffhanger too because it took me soooo long update. And I'll explain it later but there's a reason behind it for him wanting to truly be Eragon's bro. Thanks!
Morzan's Elvish Daughter: :D He'll be in several more chapters to come.
funnelwebs: Lol you reviewed the same day I put up the chapter man. It's all good. Idk how I could make their interactions any more real but what evs. Lol heavy artillery in the middle of Arkansas would be a rather bad idea considering the alarms it would raise. This is a hit and destroy, get out quick kinda mission. In context of the sentence before it makes sense. Leeroy Jenkins lol. But I dropped out for a bit so I could go on vacation and they could fill my place for war. I'm rejoining after vaca.
Misfortune31: Haha I hope it lived up to expectations :P Thank you :) Idk where I get them, I'm just always thinking of new stories and scenarios to throw characters into. I probably absorb information and ideas through day to day life as well. My brain then proceeds to put them together lol. That's cool :)
An44: Thank you! :D
VaderTahu101: That would be an awesome cover! Unfortunately, the artist I was talking to about making me a cover hasn't gotten back to me :/ Oh well :P You must have an artistic mind. The angling and colors of the picture you describe sounds epic :D Thank you!
chittart: Thanks :) And I actually went and read the book after you mentioned it, really liked it! Laughed so much lmao. Thanks for the suggestion!
Renaissancebooklover108: :D Really, well then I'll try and get it all right next time (if there is one ;)) and if I can't figure it out I'll message you!
JordanMathias: Thank you :D I'm glad you think so. It's kind of hard writing Eragon and Murtagh's relationship so hopefully others think as you do. Thanks again!
yesssssssssssssss: Your welcome lol. Sorry it took so long to update again ;P
Elemental Dragon Slayer: Thanks you . . . . oh crap I can't say it blatantly on the internet. You know what I want to call you. Accept and believe dear friend. And as I said to another reviewer, the artist never got back to me again :/ You're a megalomaniac
Major Dragon: Thank you! It will be in a bit but it'll happen none the less. And I think Roran's part is necessary for this. Eragon needs ties to his past or he would feel lost. I would like to read the Art of War but I barely had time to even get this chapter written. I'll definitely take into account that suggestion though because it would definitely be helpful. And I'm kind of undecided at the moment.
The Hero of the Dark: Thanks! He's like, crazy effed up. I know that organized insanity is scarier, which is what he was earlier, but he got pretty screwed up after almost dying and as shown in this chapter is literally insane. I know I tried to more so in this. It was stealth used to get around the Varden and the government is sending people.
TheeRoyalJester: Lol I might tell you all sometime. We'll see ;) I am totes famous obviously. I do all the movies. My name is Oprah Winfrey lmao. Haha does this four months of not updating count as reason enough to send somebody? Alpacas ARE evil. The are just meanie but spitter heads. So did you win the contest? And how did you like the Tamora Pierce books?
I have a talent for doing that. How is Noon? You say he's in a coma or was? I had a feeling something bad happened to him. Is he alright now? So weird. Katy Perry of all people. Is she on your list? Damn that is a pretty brutal day. I've seen that video of the children I think. It's rough. I'm glad my chapter could help you out haha. You're not wrong. Most people didn't see them together though. Only a couple. It actually takes quite a while to find covers that I like. It requires a lot of researching and such. Those are all really cool ideas although they'd be hard, at least some, to get into the small cover we get. He did fight Murtagh yes. If I was able to change t it would orbs be with both of them in the cover though. Although the artist hasn't gotten back to me so I might not be getting a new cover. Lmao I read your second review after just waking up and got so confused that I had to get up and fully wake up to understand or read it properly. It was a serious mind F***. I know most reviewers do it to get me working and it actually helps sometimes. As long as they aren't rude or if they're rude, they have to at least be funny, then I actually get motivated more. So. . . about your ego. . . :D So Noon isn't/ wasn't in a coma? Or was? Thanks for the second review lol.
One Final Stand: Thank you! That's good to hear :D We just like messing with him. It's all in good fun ;) IT WOULD BE SOOO COOL IF FANFICTION GAVE ACHIEVEMENTS!
Rxsk: Thanks! Yeah I could never take away their kick ass abilities because it would feel so wrong to me :P They must always be deadly lol. M/N is going to happen yes, not sure about Selena. Probably wont bring her in past talking about history.
rajaman0: :D
Jon D. Malcolm: Thank you! I'm not sure yet. I figure things out as I go so we'll see haha. Yes, he thinks Morzan is his father at the moment. It'll sort itself out in time. I've never read any league FF but I might check it out. You should play with me and Elemental Dragon Slayer sometime. It's a pretty good time. My favorite character is definitely Jax. It's not abandoned or anything but writing more than one story at once is time consuming. I'll definitely continue it after An Unwanted Bond.
linksaysmegusta: Yeah it'd be super creepy. Liam?
The Super Guest: :D Thanks for the compliment! Sorry it took so long to update :P
mr rophone: It's ok! Late review is better than none :P Lol it's gonna go down. There will be angst just not so soon. At least not majorly angst yet. I don't really like very much angst. I do like that as well though. It brings characters closer.
Toosieroll: Hahaha soooo creepy but pretty funny :D Sorry it took so long to update. Lol you want them to do the sexy times?
Guest: Srry it's so late :P
hogwartsshur'tugal: Thank you! That gives me confidence that I'm doing something right :D I'm sorry it took so long to get this up. And I'm not sure but it should still have quite a few chapters to go.
Elenwne: Thank you!
Plumba: Sorry! I've gotten a new job and moved out. Things have just been super crazy. Yeah I'm going to try and get on that as soon as I can.
saphirephoenix3957: Thanks!
Guest: Thank you haha! It's not creepy (kind of. . . lol i kid). I had a really good day. Thanks again! :)
Some1udontkno: Thanks! I'm assuming your the same person as the review before this?
Guest: Sorry!
Guest: Im sorry :(. It's not technically on hiatus I just took a long time lol
