Hi guys. I didn't really have much planned on this chapter except the ending. I know some of you must be getting bored of the long drawn out battles, but I didn't just want to do the one-shot bullshit. I honestly hate it when people do that; it's anti-climactic, cheap, and it most cases, poorly written. It's bad story-telling and a cop-out.

Not gonna lie, I hate how this chapter turned out. I was gonna write it longer but I just wanted to get to the big reveal already. It's the only thing I envisioned here. Just so you know, Rage has pretty much disappeared. Like Raven kinda became a berserker in this. All the power and full control.

Chapter 29: Father

All she could hear was the faint sound of the wind rustling that grew louder. Next, she tasted something metallic. Then she felt something...wet and...painful. Very painful. It hurt to move. She finally managed to open, but everything was blurry. Where was she? How long had she been out?

The obscure sight before her came into focus.

Her hands gripped the spear that ran through her stomach as blood gushed out of her abdomen.

All she could hear at first was a long, high-pitched noise. Her body felt cold, numb, and heavy, almost as if it wasn't hers. Her eyes weakly meeting someone who looked oddly like her. For a moment, she forgot who the lookalike was, but the fury in the lookalike's voice brought her out of her stupor.

"SNAP OUT OF IT, IDIOT! WE'RE IN DEEP SHIT!"

Raven gasped, as she recollected everything. In an instant, she felt her resolve renew; her fighting spirit and rage fueling her. She gripped the spear shaft tightly and snapped it, earning a shriek from her enemy. Everything seemed to move in slow-motion as she ripped the spear-tip from her abdomen, her wound bleeding profusely, as she swung the spear-tip into the underside of her enemies' jaw. She felt it go through bone and soft tissue. The creature let out a gurgling noise as it descended into the world below. Her mind was going a million miles a minute, from her wound to Rage's battle, to Beast Boy, the Titans and the threat. The empath clutched her stomach in an attempt to stop the blood. A faint blue light illuminating her hand as she watched her enemy collect itself for another attack. Raven bit back a grimace as she rocketed toward the pair.

"Heh! Took you long enough!" Rage smirked as she wiped away blood from her chin. "Bitch" she muttered under her breath as she dodged the halberd user by an inch.
Unfortunately, she was on the bad end of the creature as it slammed it's tail into her stomach wound.
Rage coughed up blood as she soared twenty feet away.

Raven cringed as she felt the pain of her emotion and took a deep breath.

'I have to finish this now!'

Rage landed near her owner and they gave each other a knowing look before nodding. The black and red clad twins launched themselves at the beasts; one weaving from the left and the other weaving from the right. It was a bad set-up for the beast and they were moving too fast for him to counter; in addition to only having one arm, it was not going to end well.

In a brilliant blaze of black and red, a roar echoed across the battle-torn city. Both rider and mount were scorched black as the pair tumbled to the earth in ash.

"We finally did it."

"Yeah."

"Looks like you had a little trouble too, Rage."

"Piss off."

A long silence between the two women.

"He's gotten stronger."

"Then let's quit wasting time, and kill every last one of those fucking assholes."

"For once, I think I agree with you. They're already onto us."

"Heh, race ya there" the red clad doppelgänger smirked as the two bolted off.

+Beast Boy+

The green man clutched his abdomen as he looked around the dilapidated building. He panted hard as his legs dropped to the ground.

"I don't know how much further I can keep going..."

He looked around the room.

'There has to be something I can do...'

Beast Boy finally had an idea but needed to act quickly as he could hear his pursuers.

+Raven+

Raven and her emotion came to a stop when the pair saw the army surrounding the rift. Bizarre creatures from unknown worlds; slimes, insectoids, fire demons, reptilians, giants and more poured out of the rift.

The two frowned. She was just a mile away from the rift, and there was only about 500 feet between the two and the horde.

"They're not going to get in our way."

Rage cast a side-stare at her master.

"Rage, I'm going to need you to cover the left while I take the right."

"Yeah, about that..."

Raven looked at Rage before she felt the doppelgänger's hand thrust into her stomach wound. She was so shocked that she missed the sounds of the crowd below cheering as her traitor looked on with a stony face.

"If you die, I die" she repeated as a her eyes glowed red and a second pair formed above her own.

Raven felt a warmth build in her wound as and a white glow around her stomach.

"So don't fuck up."

"Rage, NO!"

A bright flash illuminated the sky as a crack of thunder boomed.

+Beast Boy+

Beast Boy lay in the rubble, a tired smile on his face as he sweated into the cloak. He looked at the seven wraiths and their creatures enter the room on the opposite end. Their jaws snapping hungrily as their master's raised their weapons threateningly.

They were now fifteen feet away from him, the creatures' bulk taking up the room.

'Come on! I'm right here!'

The beasts growled as they moved closer. Beast Boy instantly pounded the floor twice. Nothing happened and the cloaked figures tilted their heads while letting out hisses that resembled laughing.

It was cut short when the whole building began to quake and the creatures looked around panicky.

"Heh, you guys aren't that bright" he said as he slowly removed his hood.

The roof and ceiling began to collapse on in and the terrifying seven let out enraged shrieks as they raised their weapons. The floor began to crumble around them.

'Look like i wont be able to return your cloak Rae..."

+Raven+

The building flash faded as Raven hovered alone. Her stomach wound was gone and she felt more energized but she could no longer feel or sense her wrathful emotion.

Raven felt forlorn.

'Mistress! You cannot give in now!'

'I'm so tired, Knowledge.'

The sound of a far-off building collapsing drew her attention and she looked back at it. A small plume of ash and dirt drifting into the air.

"Garfield..."

Love was dying in her mind, loosing out to the pain. She felt so numb, so emotionally exhausted.

'Mistress! You must fight! Everything will be lost!'

Raven gripped her head and let out an ear-splitting scream of pain and anguish. Tears ran down her cheeks as she charged blindly into the army.

Fire spun around the enchantress as she lobbed giant black crescent-shaped blasts. She landed in a patch of dirt and she pushed the flames outward. The fiery inferno burning her enemies away.

The Azarathian was lost; she had no idea how many she was slaying. Skulls were being crushed under her boots in bloody balloons, limbs were flying through the air, screeches of death and pain rung through the air. It was an odd and indescribable feeling; she felt no anger but her pain and suffering had pushed her over the edge. She felt no sympathy, no mercy, but completely unrestrained. She almost felt like a savage.

A slash from a weapon got her arm but Raven was undeterred; the Azarathian continued the assault with necromancy spells. Hundreds of bodies rose up and began attacking their former allies. Raven spun around to release herself of zombie's grip before stabbing her thumbs in its' eyes and crushing its' head like a balloon. Brain and bits of bone splattering everywhere.

Her purple eyes jotted down to the corpse of a green humanoid reptile, ran over and pulled out the spiked mace that was sticking out of his head. The empath charged at an purple mantis-like creature fighting one of her zombies and swung; the mace connected with the creature's head and antennae. Raven threw the mace before covering a quarter of the battlefield in the shape of a bird and quickly raised her arms. The enchantress released a battle-cry as all the enemies in the area lifted into the air and disintegrated. Then she dropped on all fours, kicked off from the ground and zigzagged through the area, slaughtering enemies.

She was covered in the blood of her enemies and their corpses lay dead at her feet. Everything felt surreal, from simply side-stepping to carving a zombie from stomach to sternum. Raven saw energy blasts shooting towards her but she swiped her hand in a large arc as the blasts were warped and absorbed. A second later the same blasts reappeared above these deformed creatures akin to goblins and hailed down on them. The demoness whirled around, she still was only 100 feet away.

She rose into the air, level with the hand, muttering an enchantment. Dozens of black tendrils whipped from her hands towards the rift in an attempt to sew the hole shut.

The struggle became harder as a second gigantic hand emerged from the rift. A rush of air blowing the enemies away.

Raven wouldn't stop now, not when she was so close. The hands gripped the edges of the breach, widening the gap. She weaved the tendrils to force the gaping hole shut but it was too powerful. The hands ripped open the rift while her black tendrils disintegrated like burnt paper and she was pushed back. She raised her arms to protect herself from the powerful rush of air.

After a few seconds, she fearfully lowered her arms. The air around her was stifling with negative energy. Then she saw it; a red behemoth with silver flowing hair and glowing eyes. His crown was woven around his head that looked like antlers, and he had a deep, demonic voice.

Her breath hitched in her throat as her wide eyes stared into the face of someone who had conquered multiple worlds and the ruler of the underworld.

"Trigon..."

"Hello...my daughter."

End Chapter.
