CHAPTER ONE:

Draco Malfoy stood in front of his childhood home, taking in the great expanse of land & the intimidating structure of the Malfoy Manor. Everything's exactly the way he remembered.

It's been five years since he swore to himself that he would never return… But one look at yesterday's Daily Prophet headline and he knew he couldn't stay away. He crumpled the newspaper in his hand, throwing it carelessly on the ground.

She was going to marry him. Ginevra Molly Weasley was finally engaged to Saint Potter.

He shook his head in disbelief, putting his hands in his pockets and willing himself to walk forward.

He spent five years travelling the world – trying to put his dark, demented past behind him. He inherited everything after the death of his father & he took control of the Malfoy enterprise as a silent partner. His best friend & most trusted colleague, Blaise Zabini, took over as president – overseeing the business in his absence.

Draco spent most of his time in Asia & the United States, learning about different muggle inventions and how they could be incorporated into the wizarding world.

Now, he stands as one of the world's richest men and wants for nothing.

Except her.

He opened the front door of his former home, making his way to the study on the first floor. Everything was spotless; his house elves refused to leave and continued to serve him – cleaning everything day after day, waiting for their young master to come home.

He sat down near the fire place and exhaled tiredly.

Countless countries and several women in between and he still could not get rid of the thought of her fiery red her on his black silk sheets. The feel of her skin against his. Her hazel eyes twinkling with unspoken adoration.

The way she looked when he asked her to run away with him. She was crying then; her eyes red-rimmed and puffy from trying not to cry. He thought that she had never looked more beautiful.

The heartbreaking silence that came after she said no.

And now, she's marrying him.

He needed to see her.

He needed that closure before he can fully let her go.
