Chapter Three: Mother
Author's Note: Thank you very much to the guest reviewer and Andria for reviewing chapter two and telling me I should continue it! After season 4b finishes, I will attempt to start it! Now this is how I think Killian knows Ursula because as I looked for spoilers as you casually do, and I saw that Killian and Ursula would not have a romantic relationship together. *wipes away nervous sweat that built up*. This is what I thought would happen so it's a thought spoiler.
I f you don't want spoilers don't read but I have no idea if this is what happens! It would be an interesting theory through… I wonder if anyone thought about it...
Disclaimer: I don't own OUAT that belongs to the amazingly, talented writers and creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.
Killian Jones was sitting in the forest, waiting for her to hurry up and arrive. He was losing his patience and Emma was growing more concern about him every time she called on him on his talking device thing.
'Hello, Killian,' a soft voice answered. Killian didn't look around at the vaguely familiar voice since he knew who it was.
'Hello, mother,' Killian answered coldly. He stood up after a minute and looked at Ursula. Her face was hard, and he notice features on her face that himself and Liam had inherited from her. He shook it off. He would not let her back into his life again after she abandoned him and Liam when he was ten.
'Where is Liam?' She asked, walking forward. 'Why did you not tell him I was here?'
'He's dead,' Killian said, 'but of course, the great and powerful Sea Witch knew that, didn't she?'
'I didn't,' Ursula said, her eyes glistening for a second before turning hard, 'who killed him?'
'Wouldn't you like to know?' Killian asked sarcastically. 'Tell me what you want here in Storybrooke. Who's your friend? A woman who helped you abandon me and Liam, leaving us with a drunken father?'
'I want my happy ending,' Ursula said, 'surely you want me to be involved in your happy ending.'
'I want my brother,' Killian said coldly, 'but I can't have that, can I? No my happy ending is with Emma, and her son. And her parents.'
'What if I could bring Liam back?' Ursula asked quickly. Killian looked at her.
'That author isn't real,' Killian said, a lot colder than before, 'what ever lies Rumplestiltskin has been feeding you and Cruella and Maleficent, isn't true. We are in the control of our fate, not some author.' Through Killian did not believe it. He saw too much evidence from Emma, Regina and Henry's search.
'We have evidence he is real, Killian!' Ursula said, showing him a piece of paper. Killian took it and read it.
It was a picture of him with Liam. And Emma and Henry and the three Charming's. Regina was also there with Robin Hood (to his surprise) and Robin's lad, Roland.
'What magic is this?' Killian hissed, ripping it up. 'Liam was killed because I goaded him into it! Because Peter Pan wouldn't tell us it was poison! That our king wanted to poison an entire army! Because we're both stubborn! This is lies, Catherine!'
'How do you know my real name?' She demanded.
'I know facts,' Killian spat, 'this was a useless meeting, mother. I want you to leave Storybrooke, to leave me and Emma and her family alone along with Cruella, Maleficent and Rumplestiltskin. I guess you don't know what the Crocodile did to me, now do you?'
'Of course I do,' Ursula said.
'Then I'm leaving,' Killian said, 'because you obviously care more about these false things, that actually trying to apologise for abandoning me and Liam with your husband.'
'Killian!' Ursula called out but Killian was walking off already.
She had been a good mother before she had left. She had been known as Catherine Jones a sailor's wife. Then suddenly, she left, with no note, no goodbye and her name had never been mentioned again. After a year, his father had promised to take him on a sailing trip, to leave the Enchanted Forest and go but the next day, he had left, no note, no goodbye. After that, he was never mentioned between the two brothers again.
'Killian!' Emma said, walking up to him. She kissed him softly before looking at him. 'What's wrong? You've been acting strangely.'
'I- met up with- my mother,' Killian said quietly.
'Your mother?' Emma asked. 'Who is she?'
'No one of importance Swan,' Killian smiled softly, 'I thought she was going to apologise for leaving me when I was a lad, but I had been wrong. She had just wanted to rub salt in old wounds.'
'Okay,' Emma said, 'now, would you like to come to Granny's for dinner with my parents, my baby brother, Henry and Regina?'
'Of course Swan,' Killian smiled. He kissed Emma's cheek and gave her a small smile, still thinking of his conversation with Ursula.
Killian Jones was ten years old, his brother was fifteen and his parents were in their late thirties. Catherine and George were the best parents a kid could have ask for. They were caring and very kind but that all changed when his mother left.
His father had gone to the drink and he became abusive. He gambled their money away, forcing Killian and Liam to work jobs as street cleaners. They never had food and his father was always mysteriously gone.
Liam had become Killian's new father figure. Liam did everything for him. He gave Killian extra food, money he had left over to Killian so he could buy new shoes, or a pitcher of water. He was selfless, a person Killian wished to be.
Killian shook his head as David addressed him.
'Killian,' David said, 'would you like another beer?'
'Sure,' Killian said, a slight smile on his lips. David reminded him a little of his brother. A person Killian wished to be.
'Are you still thinking about your mother?' Emma asked quietly as Henry started to talk to Mary-Margaret about a school project.
'Yes,' Killian sighed, 'I'm just not quite sure I'd like to reunite with her. She's my mother, my only living family left. But she's evil. Not a person I'd like to be around.'
'Who is she?' David asked, setting a glass of beer in front of him and sitting down next to Henry.
'Well that's the problem,' Killian sighed, 'she's… she's well- Ursula. She used to be Catherine Jones, an amazing woman and mother, until she left and that's when life went wrong.'
'Ursula?' Henry asked. 'Well I can't be that surprised. You do like the sea.'
'Does that mean you have magic?' Mary-Margaret asked.
'No,' Killian said, 'she stole it. From a young mermaid I found out. I don't know her name through,'
'Well, I don't know what you should do,' Emma admitted, 'you obviously still want to have a relationship with her but she's a Queen of Darkness.'
'I didn't but the clues together until she sent me this,' Killian said, getting out a note, 'it's my mother's handwriting but sighed with her fake name (Ursula) and I managed to put the ideas together and I met her five minutes after she sent it.'
'Is that why you didn't tell me?' Emma asked. 'You were in shock?'
'Yes, love,' Killian sighed. He closed his eyes and ripped up the paper, 'now David, how's the search going for a new house?'
Author's Note: I'm sorry it's been a while since I updated! I had work the weekend that just past, I've been trying to watch the full episode of "Darkness on the Edge of Town" without having to sign up to a site and it's been hard. Also, I had a needle today and my left arm has been killing me so that hurt. I've been so frustrated trying to find the OUAT episode! I was going to punch the computer screen since people believe that people living in Australia don't want to watch OUAT! So annoying!
Anyway, I hope you like this chapter! It's only what I think should happen and next chapter, I will write a chapter from when Henry was younger and was living under the curse with Regina! Please read and review!
