Chapter Six: A Family Tree

Author's Note: I'M SO SORRY! I haven't updated for such a long time and I feel terrible! Life's been so busy for me and I started two other stories (Evil of the New Dark One and Hogwarts Dark Enigmas) and I've been so busy being a fan girl that I forgot the story that was my first published fan-fiction story!

This chapter is a major Season 5 spoiler but set about fifteen years after season 5.

Please and enjoy this chapter and again I'm so sorry for the lack of updates! Extra-long cause of lack of updates my follow fans-fiction people :)

Disclaimer: You know how two fan-girls make an awesome day? AN OUAT, DAY! My friend and I made plans to watch OUAT (all seasons) on the Christmas holidays and I'm so excited! Anyway, I don't own OUAT, but Adam and Eddie do so all rights to them! :)

***OUAT***

Queen Snow and King David ruled over the kingdom of Andora, or to the older citizens of the kingdom, King George's kingdom. Andora was bigger than the last two curses, because it now included Regina's kingdom when she was the Evil Queen. Regina was in charge of the smaller issues of the people and the villages while Robin looked after the forest, keeping the forest free of the dangers it proposed to the surrounding villages.

Killian was the head of the navy and Emma was head of the kingdom's defences against foreign kingdoms. Belle had gotten back together with Rumplestiltskin after finding out that she was pregnant with his kid. She was a librarian, who searched through books about other lands that existed. She had found quite a few, such as the kingdom of Panem.

Emma knew that all she had known in her own world was wrong. Panem was meant to be in a book. In the Hunger Games. It wasn't meant to be true because this meant that their suffering was true. However, they were getting better from Belle's knowledge.

Emma and Killian had two kids after they arrived back in the Enchanted Forest after the Dark Swan (they refused to say Emma since it was the darkness) had destroyed Storybrooke and with the help of Merlin, they were able to relocate to the Enchanted Forest forever. Princess Katrina Mary Jones. She had stunning black hair with bright green eyes. She was tall and stubborner than Emma and Killian combined, which made arguments even more heated (as if it needed more heat with her temper).

Prince Liam David Jones was two years younger than his sister. He had dirty blonde messy hair and sea blue eyes. He looked like Killian and David. He had only inherited Emma's eyes and that's where the similarities ended in physical appearance. Katrina looked like Snow and Emma with no hint of her father, expect the hair.

Regina and Robin's family tree was far more complex than hers. Firstly, there was Henry, Regina's adopted son that was also Emma's biological son. Then there was Roland, Robin's biological son with his dead wife Marian. It got more complex than that however. When in New York, Robin had been given a potion to have a child with Zelena, creating Merida Grace Locksley.

Merida's only physical appearance with Zelena was her red hair and that her eyes were a shade darker than Robin's, otherwise she was a carbon copy of her father, both in looks and in personality, her only other connection with her biological connection with her mother was that she had magic. Regina was her only mother by her standards after Zelena had estranged her when she was eight and gone off with the mad hatter, after having twin boys, abandoning her daughter.

They had another daughter, Remora Emma Locksley. They didn't really have her, they found her, left on the side of the road, only a few hours old. They tracked down the kid's parents and learnt that they never wanted her and had left her to die to the elements. Robin had gotten so made that he had exiled them to live alone for the rest of their miserable lives. They had adopted the young girl into their family and she looked a lot like Regina despite the lack of biological relation.

Then there was Belle's daughter, Colette Catherine Gold. She was a lot like her mother in appearances and personality expect her eyes. She had her father's eyes. They caused a lot of people to hate her on sight because they were so easily recognised with the man that caused terror for hundreds of years. It didn't help that she loved to practise magic, though not in the way most people feared.

Then there was her parents, Snow and David. They of course, had Emma but Emma was no longer the little girl they wished they had known. They were forty-five now, in looks, and they had missed twenty-eight years of her life. She had three amazing kids, one of which was twenty-eight, had a wife and a child on the way.

They had a forty-five year old daughter, a fifteen year old son called Prince Neal Leopold Nolan and an eleven year old daughter, called Princess Eva Regina Nolan. They hadn't truly planned to have Eva. They had talked about the possibility of having another child when Snow fell pregnant.

Neal and Eva looked like their big sister. Neal only had Snow's raven coloured hair with blue eyes and Eva had dark dirty blonde hair with hazel coloured eyes. Eva was so polite while Neal was out there, didn't care what people thought, which, as Emma and their parents had to remind him, could be insensitive to the people living in the villages.

'You better wake up love,' Killian said, shaking her shoulder gently.

'Five more minutes,' Emma said sleepily. Emma closed her eyes, wishing herself to continue her dream about her life at the moment. A peaceful life.

'It's your sister's birthday, Emma,' Killian said, 'you aren't going to get sleep.'

On cue, Eva ran through the door of their bedroom, followed by Remora, Colette, Roland, Liam, Neal and Katrina. Emma groaned as they jumped on the bed, making her sit up. She looked outside and saw that it was about seven in the morning.

'Mum told us to wait two hours until waking you up.' Eva said, sighing. 'I told her that I didn't care but she said she didn't want to deal with an angry daughter and son-in-law.'

'Your mother is a wise woman.' Killian said, getting out of bed.

'Dad, put a bloody shirt on,' Liam muttered, 'no one needs to see that.'

'Not my fault you lot came in here before I could bathe.' Killian said, raising one eyebrow.

'Killian, why did they come in here for?' Emma asked, smirking. 'It's not a special day, is it?'

'I don't think so.' Killian said. 'Wait, it's my birthday, isn't it?'

'NO!' Eva said horrified. She sat next to Emma and looked at her.

'Yes, Miss Eva?' Emma smirked. Eva rolled her eyes and looked at Remora who was looking around the room.

'Emma, hurry up,' Eva said, 'we don't have all day. It's my birthday!'

'Where's Merida?' Emma asked, noticing that the red-head had not arrived. She noticed Remora and Roland's frowns.

'She's- she's with mum.' Roland said. 'Said she feels like shit.'

'Well, let's have breakfast then,' Emma said, smiling at them, 'but first.' She nodded at Killian and he grabbed Eva from the bed and she laughed uncontrollably as he put her down. Emma grabbed her little sisters' birthday present and handed it to her.

'Happy birthday, Eva.' Emma smiled.

'Thanks so much Emma!' Eva grinned, hugging Emma.

'Happy birthday, Eva Regina,' Killian said, joining the group hug. They finished and Remora smirked.

'Let's go annoy your parents now, Eva,' Remora said and Eva laughed and they all ran off. Emma sighed and turned to her husband.

'It's Zelena. Again.' Emma sighed. 'God, I hate that woman.'

After Zelena had left Merida at eight, Merida had refused to acknowledge anything of her. She had ruined paintings of her, destroyed every gift that Zelena had given her and had gone as far as dying her hair the colour of her father's to avoid looking remotely like her until Emma had stepped in. It took Emma hours to comfort the young girl until she had asked the question Emma had asked herself for twenty-eight years. Why? It was harder for her, because she'd known Zelena her whole life, knew what she was like, so why would she abandon her?

Every once and a while, Zelena would try to talk to her, which left Merida angrier and sadder than ever. Today would probably be that day. Yet again.

'Let's get dress now Swan,' Killian said, grabbing her hand, dragging her from the bed.

'But it's so warm!' Emma groaned.

'Your parents will kill you if you missed your little sisters birthday breakfast. Or any breakfast.' Killian said, smirking.

'Shut up,' Emma muttered. She grabbed her favourite outfit, a red version of the clothes she wore to help Bandit Regina get to her true love when the author had changed everyone. Killian had probably woken up before her and he had changed into an Enchanted Forest version of the clothes he had worn in Storybrooke.

Emma put her hair up and made her bed as Killian grabbed an extremely large present from the walk in wardrobe.

'Killian-' Emma said, groaning, 'why?'

'Trust me, I've won brother-in-law of the year,' Killian smirked.

'But not son-in-law of the year,' Emma muttered, walking out of the room. Killian laughed as he hauled the enormous present out of the room and into the dining hall. Emma saw that her parents and Belle were talking, only confirming her thoughts on Merida.

'Really Jones?' David asked, groaning as Killian placed the present next to Eva's chair who sat next to Katrina and Snow.

'It's worth it, trust me,' Killian smirked.

'I don't know at the moment,' Snow muttered. Emma snorted and her mother glared at her.

'I'm guessing the kids have gone to get Henry?' Emma asked. Belle only laughed and nodded.

'They specifically told me when I woke up, that they'd go wake up Henry and Gretel.' Belle said.

'Did Zelena try to contact Merida today?' Killian asked. Snow sighed and nodded.

'Yeah,' Snow said quietly, 'expect she tried to talk to her using mirror magic. Merida screamed her head off at her, smashed the mirror and started to destroy her room with fire before Robin and Regina came down. Took them about an hour and a half to reason with her before Regina came upstairs to talk to me.'

'Why does she want to all of a sudden talk to her if she left?' Belle asked.

'Who knows with her,' Killian said, as they heard laughter coming from the corridor. Neal, Eva, Remora, Roland, Colette, Katrina and Liam ran into the room, Eva carrying multiple gifts. Henry walked in with his wife Gretel.

'Hey squirt!' Emma smiled at her sister.

'Hey blondie,' Eva grinned.

'Eva, come over here,' Killian said, standing up from his seat next to Emma and the empty sit that was Robin's. He walked over to Eva's sit and she looked at him curiously as the kids took their spots.

'Because I'm your favourite family member, I got you this present,' Killian said, 'you'll have to open it up where I left it since it too large to lift on the table.'

'What did you get me Killian?' Eva asked, opening up the present.

'Something,' Killian smirked. Emma just sighed. For the kids' birthdays, he always got them gifts that were huge in size and meaning, she just wondered what he got Eva.

'OH MY GOSH!' Eva screamed happily. She hugged Killian tightly and Emma looked at the gift. A picture of the people sitting at the table on a family holiday to Arendelle, Elsa having captured the photo, having a gift with art.

'This is awesome, Killian, thank you!' Eva smiled, breaking the hug.

'I'm pretty dashing, I know,' Killian laughed, sitting down again. They heard three pairs of footsteps and Emma knew that it was Merida, Robin and Regina.

'Hey guys!' Eva said happily.

'Hey Eva,' Merida said, and Emma could hear the forced happiness, 'sorry we're late, got side-tracked. How about we get this party started?'

'Sure,' Snow said, as Merida said next to Henry and Roland. Regina sat next to Remora and Roland and Robin sat next to Regina and Killian.

'How old are you turning today? Six? Seven?' Robin teased.

'Eleven!' Eva said.

'Ah, eight,' Robin said knowingly.

'Eleven, Robin! You know, ONE ONE!' Eva said, glaring at him.

'Three?' Killian asked. Robin, David and Killian started to laugh at the look on Eva's face and Emma saw a small smile form on Merida's face.

'Anyway,' Emma said loudly, 'let's have speeches.'

'I'd prefer food,' Liam said loudly. They all laughed and it took all of Emma's self-control not to laugh.

'Liam David Jones,' Emma said warningly.

'Mum,' Liam said, grinning.

'Speeches are meant for the ball mother,' Katrina said, saving her brother from punishment, like the kids did for each other.

'You're lucky your sister saved you, young man,' Emma said. Liam grinned at Katrina and she rolled her eyes.

'You owe me big time buddy,' Katrina said.

Emma just rolled her eyes at her kids' antics. Perhaps if Regina hadn't had a reason to curse them, Emma and her siblings would be like this, playing around with each other, like Killian told her him and Liam did when they were younger.

Then perhaps she wouldn't have Henry, Killian, Katrina or Liam. She couldn't think of a world without her sons, daughter or her husband. It was so comforting to have them, her parents, her brother and sister, Regina, Robin, Remora, Roland, Merida, Colette and Belle, that anything without them would feel horrible. To think of it gave her chills.

'Let's eat!' Liam declared. They all laughed and Emma just smiled at her son. She loved her rather complicated family.
