Regina stared at her computer as she heard a knock at her door. She jumped and shut her computer screen, however she needed not to worry. It was just Killian, her older brother. She was surprised that Liam wasn't with him, but she remembered that it was only three in the afternoon and he would still be at university.

Her brother Killian had short black hair and bright blue eyes, like the ocean. Her oldest brother, Liam had dark brown hair and the same blue eyes. They were quite tall, about six feet tall while Regina was a five foot three. She had shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. Regina was the youngest of the three siblings and she was six years younger than Liam who was twenty-six and just about finished his university course in Marine Biology. Killian was twenty-three and was in the American Navy. Regina was twenty and doing a course in politics.

'Sorry,' Regina muttered, opening her computer, 'I thought you were her.' Regina was talking about her stepmother, Cora Mills-Jones. Their father, Quinn Jones, had married her when Regina was one and a half, a year after their mother had died in a car accident with Regina, Killian and Liam in the car. Cora was a horrible person, who had only married their father for his high end position in Storybrooke as the town mayor and owner of the most popular store in Storybrooke, a fish and chip store called Jones' Fish. She was an abusive mother to them, especially to Regina, but their father was just as bad, and it had started after Regina went to elementary school.

'It's okay,' Killian said, sitting on her bed, 'the witch's gone to the supermarket with him.'

Regina let out a sigh of relief. They were usually out for hours, so she had plenty of time to herself. She stood up from her desk and sat next to her brother. She put her head on his shoulder and sighed. She wished she could leave. She hated it here and she just wanted to leave and run away but Cora and Quinn always seemed to find a way to get her and her brothers back.

'Come on, let's go out,' Killian said, standing up.

'I don't know Killian,' Regina said, sighing yet again.

'Let's go,' Killian said, 'I'm meeting up with Emma, David, Mary-Margaret, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Graham. Oh and Robin.'

Regina smiled at her brother and stood up. He always knew how to cheer her up.

'Okay, let's go then,' Regina said. Emma was Regina's best friend and Killian's girlfriend and best friend. Emma was Regina's age and she was a deputy at the station with David and Graham was the Sheriff. Mary-Margaret and David were in Killian's grade and Mary-Margaret had just finished university to become an elementary teacher. Elsa was a year older than Regina and Emma and the three girls were always quite close. Elsa was an ice-cream shop owner and Anna, Elsa's twin sister, worked at the Mayor's office. Kristoff (Anna's husband) and Graham (Elsa's fiancée) were a year older than Killian, David and Mary-Margaret. Kristoff worked at the animal shelter.

Robin worked as the HPE teacher at the local elementary school and was in Killian's grade. They were best friends, ever since they were five. Robin also happened the one person the Regina had liked since she was fifteen, always though he was a great man, but Cora and Quinn would have her head, if she dated someone lower in position than her.

'Why are you meeting up with them?' Regina asked as they walked out of the house and Killian started to walk towards the docks.

'Well we've been busying recently, so we wanted to catch up,' Killian said, 'and we're going to my ship.' Killian had bought an old styled boat which he called the Jolly Rodger, and he sometimes took it out to the headlands with Robin, David, Graham, Kristoff and Liam.

'Oh okay,' Regina said, smiling at her brother, 'why did you bring me along then?'

'Because you haven't seen them more than twice a year,' Killian said, 'and it's depressing not getting out of the house!'

'You know why,' Regina said, 'I can barely leave the house to get the paper, so why would they let me out of the house to visit friends who give me ideas to escape their tyranny?'

'Well lets' go have fun,' Killian smiled, 'and I'll take up the punishment.'

'Like you always do,' Regina muttered, as the docks came into view. She could see two people on the deck already, talking and she thought it was Robin and Emma.

'Ah Robin and Emma are here already,' Killian said happily, 'the others must be coming soon.'

Regina smiled at her brothers' enthusiasm and they started to walk quicker. Regina pushed her brother slightly and smirked at him.

'Race?' Regina asked.

'Sure!' Killian smirked. He had obviously thought that he could win, considering she was in high heels, but nothing deterred her from a race. She sprinted off, running faster than her brother and she reached the ship just before him.

'You're wearing high heels!' Killian said.

'You honestly think that matters?' Regina smirked. Emma and Robin turned around and they grinned at her. Emma ran up and almost tackled her to the ground. Robin soon followed suit and it was a group hug.

'I haven't seen you for ages!' Emma smiled, pulling back from the hug.

'University has been busy,' Regina said, 'and the usual.'

'Well it's good to see you again.' Emma said. 'And away from them.' Emma smiled at her and walked over to Killian. Regina looked at Robin. He was quite muscular and he had blue eyes that were a couple shades darker than the sky on a clear day.

'It's nice to see you again, your majesty,' Robin said, faking a bow.

'Oh my god!' Regina said embarrassed. 'You remember that?'

'Of course I do,' Robin smirked, 'for weeks you made me dress up as a prince so you could marry me because you didn't want to marry your brothers.'

'I was three,' Regina said. Robin just laughed.

'Doesn't matter,' Robin said, 'I was six.'

'Well-' Regina said, trying to come up with a good reason, 'well- you made me learn the bow and arrow.'

'Because that's awesome,' Robin said, mocking looking offended.

'Not for a six year old girl,' Regina laughed. Robin rolled his eyes and grabbed her hand. He pulled her along to the front of the ship and he stood behind her.

'Look out there,' Robin said, pointing to the distance. Regina grinned. It was dolphins splashing about in the sea. Regina swore she heard others come on the boat with heavy luggage but Robin kept her attention on the dolphins.

'You know,' Robin said, whispering in her ear, 'for years, I've tried to figure out what love is.'

'Why?' Regina asked.

'Because it makes it easier to fall in love,' Robin said simply, 'if you know what love is.'

'So what is love, Robin?' Regina asked.

'Love- love is a mystery. It's putting the person you love the most in the world, before yourself. Love is knowing you could love them, in their weakest moment and your weakest moment.' Robin said, softly.

'Love is forever basically,' Regina said, now turning around to face him.

'Of course,' Robin answered immediately. Regina smiled at Robin. How she wished to kiss him but there was no point in giving him false hope (if he even liked her in that way) because she could never have a relationship.

'Wait,' Regina said, looking around, 'Killian! Why are we moving!?'

Regina saw that Killian was standing with Liam and Emma at the wheel. She walked over to them, placing her hands on her hips.

'What are you doing?' Regina demanded.

'Taking you away,' Killian said, 'until we can get Cora and Quinn in a maximum security prison. We've been working on it for a year but we can't have you in Storybrooke for when Graham, Emma and David arrest them. It could be too dangerous.'

'So you're sending me to a place I've never been to without you?' Regina asked.

'We're going to tell them you're sick,' Liam said, 'they don't talk or see you when you're sick. We've got to collect evidence.'

'What about my friends in Storybrooke?' Regina asked, looking at her best friend.

'You'll be back home in less than three months,' Emma said, 'up to six months maximum.'

'I've never been out of Storybrooke before!' Regina said. 'I can't live anywhere by myself.'

'But you won't be,' Killian said, sighing, 'after much consideration and talking to our other friends, and we all decided on someone. Robin has agreed to go with you.'

'What!?' Regina yelled. 'No! No! Neither of you decide who goes with me.'

'Regina,' Liam said, 'we trust Robin with our lives and more importantly, yours.'

'How about who I trust?' Regina spat. 'I'm going to a new city or town that I don't know and you send me with Robin?'

'Regina,' Robin said.

'Shut up, arrow boy!' Regina snarled, turning on him. 'Why did you come? Thought I was a helpless princess that needed recusing?'

'Regina,' Emma said, moving closer to her.

'Shut up Emma,' Regina spat, 'you're just as guilty.'

Regina was beyond angry at the moment. How could they decide to do something so big without her? To move her away to a new city? She could still live in Storybrooke, stay protected there. Why couldn't they have consulted her?

Regina stormed down to the Captain's Cabin and sat on the bed. Why would Robin give up his life in Storybrooke for her? She wasn't important. No one could love her. They had no special connection. Perhaps he was doing it to meet someone in the city they were going to.

She fell asleep about an hour later, still thinking of why Robin would go with her. She woke up at the crack of dawn and she went up to the deck. Robin was controlling the wheel and she knew that Killian, Liam and Emma had probably gone to take a sleep.

'Why, Robin?' Regina asked, standing next to him. He looked at her then back out over the wheel.

'Because- because sometimes you need to put someone else's needs before your own,' Robin said, 'no matter the cost.'

Then it hit her. He was in love with her. Her brothers' best friend loved her!

'You- you love me?' Regina asked quietly.

'Quite smart as well I see,' Robin said, smiling.

'Why?' Regina asked immediately. Robin turned to face her.

'Because I do, Regina,' Robin said, stepping closer. Regina moved closer and Robin kissed her. At first she was shocked. This was her first kiss after all. She hesitantly moved her lips against his and she could feel him smile.

'Because you do,' Regina said, her forehead on his.

'Always.' Robin said.
