Chapter Twelve: Magic

Prompt:
When belle banished rumple, he was taken by a group of scientists who were intrigued by storybrooke and want to experiment on rumple to find out more about magic, belle the charming clan Regina emma and hook have to leave storybrooke to save him

How had the Dark One manage to get himself into a government facility with a bunch of crazy scientists that were stalking Storybrooke who want to know more about magic? Regina was sitting with the un-Charming clan, Hook and Belle who seemed a mess, in the library.
'We have to go get him,' Emma said, 'not for Gold but for this whole town. Gold could reveal our pasts to get back at us and we can't have that.'
'What about the others in this town?' Regina asked. 'Who's going to lead them?'
'I-' Emma said.
'Exactly,' Regina scoffed.
'I will,' Mary Margaret said, 'I have to look after Neal anyway, and Henry can't go.'
'So where is he?' David asked.
'They built a place about five kilometres down the road, in a secluded area of the Forest,' Belle said.
'How do we know this is true?' Killian pointed out. 'How do we know this isn't a lure to get us out of Storybrooke so he could get in?'
Regina sighed. The pirate had a point. They couldn't trust Rumplestiltskin and it wasn't beneath him to do something like this. This was a death sentence for them either way but they had to go check. They couldn't let this town be in risk yet again.
'Because it was the boss that told me,' Belle said, biting her lip.
'That settles that,' David said, 'but how do we get back in?'
Another road block.
'Magic,' Emma said, 'the Snow Queen's scroll.'
'We should head off,' Regina said, 'get a- well a weapon. We may need one.'
'Are you coming?' Emma asked Killian. He hadn't spoken much and looked very conflicted in his feelings. If he didn't help, Gold could either die or let them die but if he did help, Gold could still kill him or hurt him.
'I- I will,' Killian sighed.
'Thank you,' Belle smiled. They all stood up and arranged to meet in half an hour at the town line. Regina used magic to get herself to her vault and looked around. She could use the gun she kept with her potions and she took it. She sighed. She didn't really know what else she could use. Magic didn't work outside Storybrooke.
Then she looked at her potions. Unless she already had it with her. She grabbed her forgetting potions and stored them in her pocket. She looked around, happy that she had found something and used magic to get her to the town line. She saw guy-liner there and she walked over to him.
'Still feeling conflicted?' Regina asked.
'He has tried to kill me many times,' Killian said, 'but we can't risk the chance that he could betray the town. We don't need another crisis.'
Regina saw a car heading towards them and saw, Belle, the Saviour and Shepard in the car. Regina and Hook got into the car and they drove in silence. Belle was reading a book about secret government facilities and it took all of Regina's self-control not to scoff. How could that book help them?
'There,' Belle said. They all turned to face a massive white building. There was no guards, no level of protection and they cautiously got out of the car, grabbing their weapons.
'We aren't from there,' Regina said quietly. They all nodded and Emma took the lead. They quietly walked up to a window and saw people walking past, looking excited.
'Did he give you any other instructions?' David asked.
'No-' Belle said.
'Well, well, well,' the voice said and they looked around. Standing there was Mr Gold. But how the hell had he gotten out?
'Rumple,' Belle said.
'How the hell did you get out?' Regina demanded.
'They don't understand how I work.' Gold laughed. 'And they never will.'
Suddenly alarms started to go off and they all looked at each other.
'Run!' David yelled. They ran to the car, Hook going into the very back of the open boot and David hit the gas as the men and women came running out for them. Regina smirked and then looked at Gold.
'Explain.' Regina said.
'They had all gone for lunch and they accidently left the window open. I took my chance and now the idiots don't have their puppet.' Gold laughed.
'How'd they get you?' Emma asked.
'I was walking along and they knocked me out,' Gold said. Regina looked behind and saw that they were driving cars.
'Shit!' Regina said. 'Drive faster, Charming!'
David pressed the gas harder and Emma opened the scroll. They could see the town now and David sped up even more they got over the town line and spun to face the cars that had now stopped. They got out and were shocked to see the person walking towards them. Zelena.
'You can't beat me!' Zelena yelled. 'We will find you.'
They all stood in shock. How the hell was Zelena even alive? They all saw her kill herself in the video.
'We need to have a town meeting,' Emma said.
'Robin,' Regina said, 'what if she goes after Robin?'
'It will take her time to track down Robin in New York.' Emma said. 'It has more people in there than you can imagine.'
'You need a plan Regina,' Gold said, 'if Zelena's alive you can bet she has a plan. And you'll need one.'
Regina nodded but couldn't help but worry for Robin. Her true love. Was he okay in New York? Was Roland okay? Regina sighed. They needed to get this town sorted before she went to New York. She sighed and went back into the car.
Another long night ahead.
