She couldn't remember the last time she had been beyond the borders of her home. Had it been months? Years? Her track of time had slipped with her days in isolation. Now, she walked quietly along the road, slipping into the gates of the grand city itself.
Her little sister would be mesmerized by the bustling crowds of Aurora, were she not under constant guard. The female sighed softly at the thought, hurrying on her way. She had work to do, and her lord would not tolerate dawdling.
The girl soon found what she was looking for. Across the street at a local café sat an Espeon and shiny Umbreon. The male seemed to have told a joke, as the duo broke out laughing. The observer sighed softly as the duo shared a soft kiss, a deep sense of longing making itself known in her chest.
With a breath, she set off across the street to get closer to the couple, but she was frozen with fear when a cart pulled by a frenzied team of rapidash came barreling right for her. She screamed, bracing for the end, but was surprised to feel herself shoved out of the way.
Opening her eyes, she was surprised to see the umbreon smiling down at her.
"Are you okay?" He asked softly. She nodded, not trusting her voice. "I'm Shard, who are you?" He continued. She swallowed softly, providing an answer.
"My name is Veyra."
(Meanwhile)
Hades stood in furry, the wreckage of his outbreak lying around the room. A patient old Xatu stood stoically in the room center.
"Destroying this room will make no difference, your highness. The long lost prince of this kingdom IS alive, and if you do not act he WILL learn the truth and dethrone you." The psychic stated calmly. The hellhound turned to her with a glare.
"I care little for your prophecies, Ruby. All I care about is the location of the prince. Where is he!?" He snapped at her is a frenzy. Ruby sighed in annoyance.
"I don't know where he is. The vision was brief. All I know is that he is alive, and that he is a threat to our master's wishes." She spoke with a huff. Hades growled quietly.
"I'll deal with it…. He will die." He spoke, a low growl in his throat.
Sorry for a short chap, but I promise, things will get interesting. So I want to see what you guys think.
