Hello my lovelies! I know I haven't posted in literally forever and I'm so very sorry! I kinda lost my writing muse for a while and am just now getting back into it. I've finally completed some more one shots that I had laying around and figured an update was long overdue. These will most likely be the last ones I post for this story, but I have had someone request a Happy fic from me and I have started that, so hopefully I can find the time and inspiration to make it into a decent story. I also have a couple other ideas that I would like to get going, but I never can tell so we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Lana stood in front of the open freezer with an open carton of cookie dough ice cream. She dug the spoon into the frozen treat and shoved another spoonful into her mouth. Suddenly she was pulled away from the fridge and the freezer door was slammed shut in front of her.
"Don't stand there with the damn door open. Sit." Happy said, glaring at her.
Lana swallowed the rest of the ice cream in her mouth and stuck her tongue out at him just before she felt a large, warm body behind her and Kozik's arms wrap around her, his hands going to her large, round belly as he kissed her neck.
"Where's the kid?" Happy asked.
"Tara and Gemma took him, Abel, and Thomas to the zoo." She answered.
Kozik grabbed the ice cream out of her hands and set it down on the table. "Hey!" She complained.
"Stop with the ice cream." He said, turning her to face him.
"I'm hungry." She whined.
"You're always fucking hungry lately."
Lana made a face at him. "Well it's your fault."
"You don't know that. Could be his fault." He retorted, nodding to Happy who glared at him.
"Well it sure as hell ain't mine." She said.
"Right. You had absolutely nothing to do with it." Kozik said sarcastically.
"Just being a good old lady and doing what I was told." She said, her eyes wide, making her look deceivingly innocent.
He laughed and walked her into the living room, gently pushing her back onto the couch. Sitting next to her, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her into his side. Holding her like this made him realize how small she was compared to him and further amazed him how she could carry a baby around in her belly the way she did.
The last ultrasound she'd had, they'd been told the kid was already eight pounds and she was still a month away from her due date. The doctor had informed them of the possibility of a difficult birth because of her small frame and the baby's large size. There was also the likely possibility she would need a c-section.
He slipped his hand under the T-shirt she was wearing and rested it on her belly. She'd been wearing nothing but his or Hap's shirts for the last couple months and sweatpants. He suddenly felt a strong kick under his hand.
"Fuck!" Lana cried, wincing and wrapping an arm around herself.
"How much can it actually hurt?" Happy asked as he walked into the room with a cold beer in his hand. He was doubtful that a baby, who wasn't even born yet, could kick that hard.
Lana raised her head slowly to glare at him. She stood and walked up to him as he took another sip of beer and just as he had the bottle tipped up she reached out and punched him in the stomach making him almost spit the beer out.
"That much. Asshole."
Kozik laughed as she went back into the kitchen to resume eating from the carton of ice cream.
