Chapter 11

"Kagome? Can you hear me?" Sesshomaru asked her. He saw her stir uncomfortably but didn't quite wake up. He noticed that she had a cold sweat, he hadn't meant for any of this to happen and if she didn't hate him after this he'd promised himself that he would make it up to her. He bit his wrist and saw his blood drip down it. Picking Kagome up and into his lap he opened her mouth so that he could let her swallow his blood. Seeing the distaste on her face from drinking his blood he couldn't help but feel bad. What he didn't expect was for her to open her eyes that were blood red and filled with lust?

What was happening her body was on fire. Yuka saw her reaction coming, and thought ahead and had an antidote already set aside and forced the nasty tasting substance down her throat. She then backed away, unsure how long it would take to take effect. Sesshomaru furrowed his brows to see if Yuka's remedy had worked. When Kagome started screaming he turned on the girl but she was gone out of fear.

Turning back to Kagome who had calmed down and shaking, her body temperature had gone down to the point she was now shivering. Getting into bed with Kagome he pressed he against himself trying to sustain her body heat. She started to growl and lash out at him, her body no longer able to control itself. Something had gone wrong what did Yuka make him do?

Just as he thought he had lost her Yuka came back into the room with a book in her hand. She also had Inuyasha behind her with a pissed off look on his face.

"Yuka… Why did you bring Inuyasha here?" Sesshomaru questioned.

"Well, for two reasons, one so you won't lash out at me; and secondly because we are going to need his help if we're going to save Lady Kagome." She said as she handed him the book she had in her hands.

Looking down at the pages of the book that the she had handed him he looked bewildered. Reading on he saw why she had brought Inuyasha but he wasn't sure if Kagome could handle this procedure. Looking over at her body, she was in pain and he had to make it stop. Standing up he told Inuyasha to get on the other side of Kagome. Giving him a questioning look but still did as he was told.

"Kagome forgive me." He breathed.

"What are we doing to her?" Inuyasha asked.

"Well little brother, we have to do this right the first time and it has to be done right or she will die immediately." He said stone faced.

"What! You're willing to risk your life like that!" He yelled at him and then growled at Yuka.

"Inuyasha, do you not wish to see the Miko live?" He said with a sad face.

Inuyasha had never seen his brother show any emotions let alone be saddened over a human's death. His eyes had softened dramatically, and his face was paler than usual. Inuyasha sighed and then nodded at Sesshomaru and prepared for what was to happened. He listened to Sesshomaru explain to him and what he had to do.

Sesshomaru had to bite Kagome and infect her with his poison and Inuyasha would have to suck it out. Inuyasha was the only other person in the Western lands that could do this without having a long term effect on him. And Yuka had antidote on hand for Inuyasha to take after he finished. Sesshomaru bit down on Kagome's wrist and let his poison kill the other poison affecting her. Finally after assuring that Sesshomaru's bite had gone through her entire body he moved and Inuyasha took over.

After some time Inuyasha believed that he had gotten all of the poison completely out of her system he stepped away from her and hoped for the best. Sesshomaru picked up Kagome and held her in his arms. Inuyasha sat in the corner and Yuka went and got they're friends and explained along the way what had transpired. Sango, Miroku, and Shippo came into the room and waited for Kagome to show some sign that she would be okay.

Hours had passed…

All of Kagome's friends were sleeping on the floor next to her, and she was being held by someone. She looked up to see who it was, her eyes adjusting to the darkness she saw that it was indeed Sesshomaru holding her sitting up as he slept. She smiled to herself and reached out to touch his cheek and wake him. Instantly awoke by the feel of Kagome's soft hands he smiled down at her. She didn't know what happened but she did know that he stayed by her side, and that she loved this man.

Reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck, she pulled him down for a kiss. When their lips touched something was different since when did Kagome have such sharp teeth?
