Dean hissed in pain as he felt meddle start to bend out and prick into his fingers, blue gel seeping slowly from his fingertips like an electric shock into the staff and orb. As soon as the priest finished his sentence, Dean spun around on his heal dropped the two onto the red pillow that the priest held and shoved his hands into the blissful comfort of his gloves. With waves and smiles Dean stood next to Sam just waiting to be able to head back to the castle. Sam was led away before him and a few minutes later Luc came for him. Taking a deep somewhat steadying breath, Dean followed Luc back to the castle waiting anxiously behind a door for his name to be called. Voices began to fill the room behind the closed door, fear continuing to build in his veins.

-SAM-

Sam hummed softly to himself excitement shooting through his veins making it impossible for him to stand still. He bounced back and forth from foot to foot, waiting to be called out. He wanted to see people, talk to them, hopefully see that gorgeous man again who he had accidently bumped into, and to dance with Luc. He had all bases covered.

Sam couldn't help but swell with pride after the music came to a slow stop and Dean was announced to the crowd as king. The people filled the dance hall with applause. Once the applause died down Sam was called out.

"Prince Sam of Arendale," Sam rushed out the door a broad smile filling his face as men and woman smiled back at him. Sam waved and a few women who looked like they may swoon smiled and waved back, "Over here sir." One of the butlers softly gripped Sam's wrist and moved him next to Dean.

"I…Wait…But-" Sam stammered feeling suddenly awkward standing so close to his brother. Rubbing his hand behind his neck Sam, looked down at the floor flush filling his cheeks.

With a few seconds of silence, music began to fill the room and Dean cleared his thought a soft smile flittering across his face, "Hello."

"Hello? Hello me?" Sam asked pointing to himself and couldn't help but smile as Dean nodded a smile still on his soft lips.

"It's so different, having people in our castle. Talking, dancing, laughing," Deans eyes twinkled, "We even have chocolate."

Sam laughed a full laugh and looked down to his brother; man was he happy to have Dean back. "Excuse me." Luc voiced standing before the two boys bowing slightly to both men.

"Our dance?" Sam asked his smile growing bigger as he offered his arm to Luc, his hazel eyes matching Luc's bright blue ones.

"Be careful." Dean called out to Luc as Sam led them both out to the dance floor. Taking a steading breath Sam clasped Luc hand and waist he led them in slow circles around the dance floor. Lucifer showed a rare smile that reached his eyes.

"Thank you Sam." Luc said a huge smile on his face, the gratitude clear in his voice.

"It's my treat Luc. I would do anything for you. Hell you helped raise my brother and me. You got me out of my funk Luc. My brother and I owe you so much." Sam said earnestly, and he knew that if worst came to worst he could marry this man and be happy.

"Sam, I care so much about you and your brother. You guys helped me as well. Sam I more than care…Sam i…" Luc started before he was ripped out of Sam's arms.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" A woman no taller than Sam's elbow had him by the collar bent backwards in a near backbend.

"Excuse me is there a problem?" Sam asked stepping forward trying to help however he could.

"He is staff," the woman hissed her brown eyes ablaze.

"And I asked him to dance with me." Sam snapped back snatching Luc from her grip and putting him up right. Luc smiled at the woman bowed and said, "I'm sorry if I've bothered you or made you uncomfortable mam. Excuse me" he threw Sam a look that clearly said leave it alone and disappeared into the crowd.

"That was rude." Sam snapped at the woman.

She turned a warm smile filling her face, "It wasn't rude, it was proper. You are royalty. You don't need to waste your time on simple folk like him. Where you could be dancing with me," She stuck her hand out to him, "Duchess Ruby of Weasletown." Sam's eyes shot up irritation shooting through him. He hated people who thought because they had a title to their name that they were somehow better than others. He briefly shook her hand, not even troubling to hide his scowl as they stood in the way of other dancers.

Her warm smile faltered slightly, "Your Prince Sam correct?" She asked her voice small. He nodded curtly crossing his arms in front of his chest. She looked down at her feet, "Sorry for hurting your friend…. Is there any way I can get a dance form you?"

Clenching his jaw slightly he said, "I will offer you one dance Miss Ruby but that's it. I do not tolerate people thinking they are better in some way because of a stupid title." With that he took her hand and her mid back and led her slowly around the dance floor. Any try of conversation he would answer as shortly as possible or simply ignore her. When the music ended he was more than happy for it to be over. His toes hurt from the multiple times she had stood on his feet and he wanted to go check on Luc. Bowing his head at her, he turned on his heal away from her and walked away. His eyes scanned the large dance room and saw with some relief that Luc was standing dutifully next to Dean, his eyes red from un-shed tears. He cut quickly through the crowd to Luc and Dean.

"Are you ok?" Sam asked taking Lucifer's face into his hands forcing the man to look at him.

Luc smiled weakly, grasped Sam's wrists and pulled out of his reach, "I'm fine." His voice was flat and it sounded like this had happened to him before. Sam frowned and tried to pull Luc to him but Luc shoved him away.

"Sam stop. I tried to warn you both before just stop." Dean snapped at Sam his voice and eyes cold as ice but his face looked warm a smile plastered on his face.

"This is just like you and people," Sam said coldly anger flaring through his body, "Not everyone is as bad as you think."

"The gates will be closed tomorrow Sam," Dean turned to face Sam his smile dropping from his face and something that was a mix of anger and fear were shining through his eyes, "STOP acting like a child and grow the fuck up. And my people issue is MY issue. Don't force yourself on Luc! If he doesn't want to get hurt again leave him ALONE."

Sam took several steps back from his brother and the man he thought he cared for, "Sorry for bothering you King." Sam bowed and turned away before either of them could see him cry.

"Sam." Luc called out but Sam was already walking through the crowd barely able to see and he distinctly heard Dean say, "Let him go Luc." Before he broke into a run through people. That is he lost his balance running into someone else and went tumbling to the floor face forward. He screwed eyes closed getting ready for an impact that never came.

AN: Hope you guys liked Chapter 11! I'm so sorry it took me so long to get this one out. I started writing this one a while ago but stopped right before I got to Sam due to complications at home. Most of the issues are resolved now however so I will be publishing these more.
