-SAM-
"I can't!" Dean screamed at the top of his voice. All the snow froze in midair, shot like bullets towards Dean, then shot out and away from with the black inky goo. It sounded like a bomb exploded and sent Sam flailing backwards. Sam gasped in pain looking down at his chest. The inky black goo had seeped through his cloths and had melded its way into his skin. A few seconds later a sharp pain shot though his chest making his knees feel week. Clutching at his chest, Sam fell to his knees as he felt pain shoot though him like a lightning bolt.
Looking worriedly up at his brother, he heard his name being yelled from below by Gabriel and Charlie. They burst into the room closely followed by Castiel. Without hesitation Gabriel ran over to Sam, concern full in his golden eyes, "Are you ok?" He placed a hand lightly on Sam's shoulder.
"Who's this?" Dean asked his voice cracking with fear. Sam saw his brother, who always seemed like nothing scared him, press himself harder against the wall, "Never mind it doesn't matter, you have to go."
With Gabriel's help, Sam stood shakily on his feet, "I'm fine, "Sam had a hard tone to his voice he was determined, "I'm not leaving you Dean. I know we can figure this out together."
"How?" Dean demanded back throwing his arms down in frustration his lilly pad green eyes still filled with fear, "What power do you have to destroy this Angels, fuck to even stop this winter. What powers do you have to stop me Sam?"
"Sam I think we should go." Gabriel said his eyes not on Dean but on the snow angels who were slowly advancing towards them.
Shaking Gabriel off, he stared fixedly at Dean, "No I'm not leaving without you Dean."
"Yes you are." Dean said making an emphasis with each word he spoke. And with another explosion that sent Charlie flying sideways. A partially naked stood a few feet in front of Dean. His eyes were a dark blue and his wings were made completely of ice. Instead of the feathers looking like feathers however. They looked like sharp and barbed icicles. The man strode forward and what seemed like in the blink of an eye, had Charlie, Gabriel, Castiel and Sam in his arms. Walking effortlessly though the house he kicked open the door.
"Go away." He growled, and then threw Charlie, Sam and Gabriel out the house and several feet away. Doing so made each of them fly though some snow angels. Castiel followed shortly afterwards but the half-naked angel had yanked some of the shingles from his wings and drove them into Castiel's like a nail into wood.
"Watch out." Castiel yelled flying from the man's arms and crashing into a heap of snow.
"That was a dick move!" Sam yelled bending down to scoop snow into a snowball.
"Whoa whoa there cowboy," Charlie warned grabbing Sam's arm as he was about to throw the snowball, she held him as securely as she could as Sam's breath came out in gasps from his anger.
Gabriel was leaning over Castiel and was yanking out the icicles from his wings, "Calm down Sam!"
"I'm calm." Sam said after a few seconds pulling out of Charlie's restraining arms.
"Great just let the Angel ice man be." Charlie said. As soon as he was out of reach Sam growled, aimed and launched the snowball at the angels retreating back.
"Oh come on!" Gabriel said exasperated as it hit him squarely between the shoulder blades. With a yell like a battle cry the angel swung around. Now the spiked were protruding from his shoulders as well, his eyes were a bright blue almost as if they were lightning themselves.
"Oh great." Charlie mumbled stumbling backwards
"Now you made him mad." Gabriel gowned pulling a stunned Sam backwards.
"I'll distract him you guys go." Castiel said standing up waving his arms.
Gabriel began to drag Sam back the way they got up here, as Castiel was thrown down into the snow. Without thinking they ran and fell down a mini slope of snow, Gabriel Sam and Charlie yelling the whole way down.
"Get up!" Gabriel yelled grabbing Sam under his arms and forcing him to his feet. Looking back as they ran into the forest the half-naked angel had landed where they had been sprawled in the snow just seconds before. They weaved in and out of the trees but could hear the angel right behind them and could see the occasional icicles fly past their heads and burry itself deep into the bark of a nearby tree.
Kicking as hard as he could at the closest tree Sam saw with glee that the snow from it fell down and landed in an avalanche on the approaching angry angel.
"I got him!" Sam said between gasps for air fist pumping into the sky; and was very grateful when Gabriel and Charlie stopped him before he ran over the edge of the mountain.
"That has to be a 100 foot fall." Sam said looking down
"200 actually." Charlie corrected grabbing into her bag. She tired a knot quickly around her waist, quickly followed by one around Sam's
"Owe." Sam complained then looked around at Gabriel. He was digging in the snow as Charlie finished tieing a knot around him, "What is that for?"
"I'm making a snow anchor." Gabriel replied taking the spare rope from Charlie and shoving it into his makeshift anchor.
"Ok what if we fall?" Sam asked looking down the side if the mountain again.
"There is about 20 feet of fresh snow down there," Charlie answered, "It will be like landing on a pillow.
"Hopefully." Gabriel added throwing the remaining rope down.
"Ok Sam, on three." Charlie said
"One," Gabriel started to count
Sam felt like every one of his nerves were on fire. He was about to jump off the side of the mountain with the possibility of dying, "I can do this, just tell me when."
"Two." Gabriel said raising his eyebrows
"I was born ready," Sam said sounding fiercer then he felt, "TREE!" he yelled and without thinking grabbed Charlies arm and jumped off the side of the mountain. He could hear Charlie squealing in fright as they fell Sam felt like his stomach was in his thought. The tree he had seen the angel pick up and throw now disappearing beyond his eye sight. Then with a grunt, Sam felt himself stop falling the rope biting into his midriff.
"That happened." Gabriel grunted his hands slightly bloody from the rope that had slid through his fingers as the fell.
"Guys, we should be safe!" Castiels voice called down to them as he stood up by their anchor barley in eye sight, "We totally lost Gadreel back there!"
And a few seconds later Castiles voice carried down to them again, "Hey! We were just talking about you. Don't worry though it was all great things about your winning personality and your hospitality skills." Then with a yell of anger the angel, who Sam assumed to be Gadreel threw Castiel over the edge.
He zoomed past them to the invisible bottom as they continued to make a slow decent, "Hang in there guys you got this!"
"Castiel!" Charlie called
"Go faster." Sam said looking up at Gabriel pleadingly.
"Wait why are we going up?" Sam asked as he felt a large lurch upwards. Looking up they could see that Gadreel was quickly pulling them back to the top. Sam struggle with his knot but could tell it was no use to try to untie. Gabriel leaned down to try to help but banged his head in the process.
"Owe!" Gabriel yelled turning upside down.
"Don't you ever fucking come back!" Gadreel yelled in Sam's face.
"We won't." Sam said reaching up grabbing the knife that hung from Gabriel's hips. Cutting through the rope in one swift motion they were sent plummeting down. He had time to have one hope that Charlie and Gabriel had been right about the fresh snow before they landed in a heap of snow.
"Hey you were right just like a pillow." Sam said happily and extracted himself from the snow but wasn't able to go much further still attached by the rope to the other two.
"I can't feel my legs I can't feel my legs!" Castiel exclaimed gripping a pair of shoes in front of his face.
"Yeah cause those are my legs." Gabriel said exasperated pushing his chest put from the show and spitting the small amount that had made it into his mouth.
"These are your legs." Charlie said squirming her way out of the snow as well revealing she had landed on the angles legs.
"Oh, thanks." Castiel said somewhat sheepishly, "Damn that feels better." He moaned standing up and cracking his neck.
"Sphen found us!" Castiel exclaimed happily as the reindeer came into view around the side of a rock, "Who's my cute little reindeer?"
"Don't talk to him like that." Charlie said fighting giggles and Gabriel scowled. Castiel shrugged still looking happy as ever.
"Here let me help you," Gabriel stood up now and helped Sam get out of his knot.
"Thank you." Sam said catching Gabriel's hand a small smile on his face, "How is your head?" he reached up and lightly brushed the small bruise that was already starting to form.
"Owe oh its fine…. I'm good…I've got a thick skull." He was now smiling at Sam and biting his lip slightly, "So now what?"
"Now what?" Sam repeated almost captured by Gabriel's smile then it hit him, "Shit…now what? Fuck me what am I going to do? I just can't go back to the town and say hey guys I tried but Dean threw me out of his house. He doesn't want anyone to bother him. I can't go back with the weather like this. And that's not my only fucking worry, I swore I would help you get this fixed so you and Charlie would be able to have your ice business."
"Hey hey don't worry about our ice business." Charlie said trying to calm Sam down
"Yeah it's not a big deal worry about your hair!" Gabriel exclaimed his smile vanishing his eyes locking onto the right side of Sam's hair.
"What?" Sam asked confused, "I just fell off a cliff of course it doesn't look good you should see your hair."
Sam pointed to Gabriel hair that was full of snow. Gabriel grabbed his hand and didn't let it go, "No no the snow isn't bad in your hair, its going bright red."
"Red?" Sam asked pulling some of his hair forward and watched in horror as his hair changed color right before his eyes.
"It's from that explosion we heard down stairs isn't it?" Gabe asked releasing Sam's hand.
"He accidently hit you with his powers." Charlie added leaning closer to look at Sam's slowly changing hair color.
"Does it look bad?" Sam asked shock filling him. It was a very stupid question but one that might be easy to process.
Gabe opened his mouth looked form Sam's face to his hair several times as if he was trying to decide what to say, "No."
"You hesitated." Castiel interjected walked over to the small group.
"No I didn't," Gabriel retorted jumping on the defensive, "Sam you need help now come on."
"Where are we going?" Charlie and Sam asked at the same time both watching Gabriel begin to trudge through the snow
"To see my friends." He answered giving a look over to Charlie as he said so.
"The love experts?" Sam asked tramping after him.
"uh-huh." Gabriel answered
"And don't worry they will be able to fix this." Charlie interjected catching onto whatever plan that was going though Gabriel's head.
"How do you know?" Sam asked looking up and down between where he was stepping into the deep snow and to Gabriel's back.
"We've seen them do it before." Gabriel said confidently and Sam could hear the smile in his voice.
-DEAN-
Dean paced the small upstairs balcony, snow was swirling around him, sparks flying through him fingers all different colors. "Get it together," He mumbled to himself and wincing as he felt another spasm of adrenalin shoot through him. A snow angel metalizing along with two fire angels.
"Control it." Dean said his voice shaking. He held his hand out towards the three entending to destroy them. It did the opposite effect, snow went flying in every direction and the non-lit fire angels burst into flames.
"Don't feel don't feel don't feel." Dean said his voice sounding desperate. Dean felt the wind and snow pick up. With a gasp he stumbled back inside slamming the door behind him. He looked out the window in horror and saw the storm pick up in earnest.
-SAM-
"Look at the sky sphen." Castiel said in awe as the moon began to turn red, "I think it's angry." Charlie giggled at this leading them further into the forest. Sam shivered unable to help himself. He felt freezing.
"Are you cold?" Gabriel asked looking over at Sam.
"A little." Sam amited though his chattering teeth.
Gabriel made like he was going to put his arm around Sam the stopped, "How are you cold? Your letting off heat like no other."
"I guess all my heat is leaving." Sam replied a soft smile on his lips.
"Here." Gabriel said leading them over to a pocket of steam.
"Oh that feels much better." Sam smiled gratefully at the man who had to be almost a foot shorter at him.
"So there is something I should warn you about…well my friends." Gabe started
"He says friends but they are more like family to us." Charlie interjected looking back at them.
"Anyway," Gabriel said as they followed Charlie still deeper into the forest, "When we were kids it was just Charlie and I until they took us in."
"They did?" Sam asked feeling in awe for a family to take in two kids who were out on their own.
"Yep." Charlie said proudly.
"Now I don't want to scare you but they can be mischievous and loud. Please don't judge them by appearance cause sometimes they can be really small and they have Tattoos everywhere. They can be stubborn at times but they always mean well and love Charlie with everything they got." Gabriel explained.
Sam saw the worry in his eyes and stopped him from continuing to ramble, "Gabriel they sound wonderful. And I would love to meet them." Sam said as they stopped walking.
"Ok then." Gabriel said taking a deep breath he walked up next to Charlie.
"Meet our family." Charlie said gesturing to the trees around them.
"There trees." Sam said stunned not sure what to think as Charlie and Gabriel weaved between them and talking to the trunks.
"Their bat shit crazy." Castile whispered to Sam, "Ill distract them while you run."
Charlie and Gabriel walked from tree to tree saying complements but mostly saying, "We have guests. Please come say hello."
Then with a complete fake excitement Castiel leaped forward and began talking to the trees, "Hello Sphen and Charlie's family. It's so nice to meet you." He patted the side of a tree.
"Meg I'm home." Charlie sais to a side of a tree glowing with excitement.
"Because I care about you Sam, I insist you run." Castiel whispered back to her. then said in a normal voice to the tree again, "I understand your love experts. That's exciting." Again back to a whisper, "Why aren't you running?"
Sam frowned unable to look away from Gabe, "UHHHH ok well I'm going to go. Thank you both for your help so far. I'm going to go." Sam pointed to the forest behind him and turned to leave.
"No wait!" Gabriel called behind him as little glowing lights came streaming out of the trees all around them. Ducking so a few wouldn't fly straight into his face, Sam turned back towards Gabriel.
Most of the light sliver things drifted to the floor, large amounts of light erupting from them. Once the light cleared, men woman and kids filled the clearing. They all had tattoos covering every inch of skin and wings that were see through fluttered slightly. The men wore a dark mossy colored type of pants that hung low on their hips. The women wore the same but had bands of flowered covering their chests. Almost every eye was on Charlie and Gabriel. With the exception of a dark-haired woman who was clinging to Charlie. Her eyes were closed and a small smile lay on her lips. She looked like she was in paradice.
"Charlie and Gabe are home!" one of the woman yelled throwing her arms up in the air with joy.
"Gabe?" Castiel asked confused looking over at Sam for confirmation. Sam nodded a small smile on his lips.
"Let me look at you." The woman said pulling Gabe closer to her. She pulled at his hair and ears, "You go digging in the snow?"
"I'm so happy your home Char." The brunette that was clinging to Charlie purred.
"Mom," Gabe said exasperated pulling out of the woman's arms, "I'm fine and it's amazing to see you all but where's grandpa?"
A little girl ran forward at the question joy all over her face, "Grandpa is taking a nap right now, but did you see that my wings finally grew in?" she turned around and shifted her blonde hair so he could see the tiny wisps that clung to her back.
"That's amazing amorah," Gabriel said leaning down and picking up the small girl. Within seconds four more ran forward all about Amorah's age and jumped onto Gabe.
"Pixies," Gabe said his dream coming back to him in a rush as one of the men caught his eye, "They're pixies." With these words every single pixie turned to look at him.
"He's brought a man!" the woman that Gabe called his mom exclaimed, "You didn't tell me you were seeing anyone." She looked sternly over at Gabe. She then marched through the mass of people and stood before Sam. She seemed to be sizing him up, "This way." Her voice was calm as she held out her hand for Sam's. Taking the much smaller hand in his he let her lead him over to Gabriel.
"What's going on?" Sam asked standing almost uncomfortably close to Gabe.
"I've learned to just roll with it." Gabriel replied shrugging.
"Sam this is Meg." Charlie said standing slightly to his left. The brunette had finally let go of Charlie and had her green eyes locked on Sam.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Sam said smiling somewhat awkwardly at Meg who only nodded in reply.
"Now let me get a good look at you." Gabriel's mom said. She was slightly shorter then Gabriel and she paced around Sam, her hands on her hips. Everyone else stood silently watching.
"Bright hazel eyes, seems to have a good smile and good bones," She squeezed Sam's arm a soft smile on her lips, "Yes. He will do amazing for our Gabe."
"Wait wait what? Um no." Sam said looking almost fearfully over at Gabriel who had his face buried in his hands and had said, "No no mom," at the same time.
Looking up from his hands, his face a bright pink, "You have the wrong idea mom. That's not why I brought him here."
"Right," Sam quickly agreed, "We aren't together. I'm not.." he laughed nervously.
