Clint

The wind was in his face and he was headed toward the back of the air ships toward the jammer. Clint had kept his hover bike, and he was flanking the blockade of New York. He flew in between buildings and he kept out of sight.

Clint stopped periodically, to see if he was still clear to keep moving.

"Bruce, is Stark back?"

"No, and I can't get anything out. Our connection is fine but we can't send or receive an outside source."

"Just let me know when Stark returns" Clint said continuing on his mission.

Clint had gotten behind them enough and he had the console display the direction the jammer was. Clint scanned and then he saw it, the one ship in the very back. He smirked.

"Gotcha"

Clint went forward through the air towards the ship. He heard the ship's alarm system go off. Clint increased in speed, guns from the hull of the ship came out and aimed at him. Clint saw them and then they all fired.

Blue energy blasts flew towards him. He banked to the right and flew behind a building. Glass erupted and shot out and Clint covered his face from the shards with his left hand. The building sparked to life in flames and shook. The building became still and silent, then it rumbled and the noise got louder. The supports crumbled and the building fell into itself and smashed to the ground. Smoke and dust were casted into the air. The huge expanding cloud of dust moved towards him and engulfed him and his hover bike.

They had just blown up a building! But it gave Clint the perfect opportunity to get to the ship without being seen. Clint flew through the smoke, he kept his eyes partly open so dust couldn't get into his eyes. He came out of the smoke and he could feel the wind again. He was directly above the ship.

"Perfect" Clint said

The guns responded by aiming at him again.

"Ok, not good" Clint said pressing the console madly.

The guns fired and he flipped the bike backwards and dodged all the blasts of energy. Clint moved the throttle and he rolled to the left and an energy blast grazed his bike. The metal sizzled and melted away slightly.

Clint grunted as he banked hard to the right and dodged more energy blasts. He was making progress and he was almost close enough. Clint rolled a few more times, then an energy blast hit the bike in the center mass. The bike buckled and the energy blast burned into the bike and killed it. Clint jumped off of it as it beeped violently and exploded.

Clint fell through the air and he felt the heat from the explosion of his bike. He pulled a grapple arrow out and nocked it on his bow in free fall. Wind was rushing past his face and he pulled back the bow and aimed. He fired and the arrow flew toward the ship's hull and clung onto the hull.

Clint felt the pull and he brought his legs up and swung under the ship. He had to think fast. He had to get on top of the ship. If not, he was going to fly into the Hudson at a height that would break his bones on impact.

He swung out and the bottom of the hull was no longer there, and he could see the railing of the other side. He pulled back his weight and as he swung up the end of the grapple arrow strained and broke off.

He flew into the air and he reached out and caught the side of the ship. He grunted as he held himself up with only one arm. He put his bow over his shoulder and reached up with his right hand and grabbed the edge as well. He swung slightly and grunted as he pulled himself up, feeling the muscles in his arms strain from the weight.

He pulled himself onto the top deck and he stood up. He readied his bow and nocked an arrow. A door to the far edge of the deck slid open and seven soldiers came out. They aimed and fired at him. Clint shot the arrow as he dove out of the way and it went into a soldier's shoulder and it beeped and shocked him.

The soldier shook violently and his gun killed two others. Clint smirked and he fired a regular arrow and hit a soldier in the eye. Blood squirted out in pulses and the man fell to the ground with blood flowing over the ground.

Clint took his chance and he rushed them. He slid on his knees and fired another arrow. Clint got to his feet and twisted and kicked a soldier. A soldier to his right rushed him and pulled out a knife. Clint used his bow and disarmed him by breaking the soldier's arm and dislocating it. Clint caught the knife and stabbed him in the throat.

Clint pulled out the knife and quickly sliced into another soldier's thigh slicing through an artery. The soldier held his leg in pain as blood squirted out furiously and he bled out in seconds. Clint stood up and two more soldiers were running at him.

Clint stared at them and he tossed the knife high into the air, giving him time. It was all about timing. He jumped up and flipped backwards. He fired an arrow as he came around half way into his flip. His foot kicked the knife as well as he was in midair. He landed on his feet perfectly and he looked at the soldiers.

The two soldiers weren't moving and they groaned and both fell over. One with an arrow directly through his heart. The other with a knife stuck in his neck.

"Bruce, I'm on the ship" Clint said over the comms.

"Uh, can't talk right now. Thor get down!" Bruce yelled and the line was filled with static.

"Bruce!" Clint exclaimed hearing only static as a response.

Clint said his name three more times, but nothing.

"Shit" Clint said under his breath

He could only do one thing, knock out the jammer so he could talk to Fury. He walked into the ship where the soldiers had come out to kill him. He slowly made his way through the ship, checking every corner. He had to destroy that jammer.

Fury

"Can we get me a connection to Barton?"

"Our signal is strong, Hydra must be using a jammer" a tech said

"Ok, is Stark in New York?"

"We don't know sir"

"Try to contact him, and someone get hold of Rogers and Romanoff." Fury ordered

A chime came to Fury's ear piece, he answered it.

"Fury, you called" Tony said

"Stark, what is the situation, we're blind on this end"

"Hydra is jamming any signals coming in or out of New York. They're cut off"

"And where are you?"

"I went to get help"

"Rogers and Romanoff?" Fury said hopeful

"No, I have no clue where they are, but someone did steal my plane."

"They may have found a lead" Fury said

"Yeah, and it seemed to be far away"

"Do you think they know of the situation?"

"I have a hunch, that they'll show up; fashionably late"

"Barton said that"

"Uh, real quick Fury"

"What is it Stark?"

"Do you think Cap and red are a…" Tony said trailing off

"A what?"

"Couple"

"I wouldn't know, and I don't think so"

"See, I think they are"

"You are entitled to your opinion Stark"

"That I am. So do you think they are…?"

"End of discussion Stark" Fury said hanging up on him.

He made a mental note to ask Romanoff about it. He exhaled and he walked back over to the techs.

"Anything?"

Bucky

Bucky, followed a security guard around a corner and he jumped him. He hit him in the throat and he punched him in the ribs shattering them. Bucky dragged him into the shadows. He hid as another guard walked past.

Bucky slowed his breathing and he looked at the guard. He ran out of the shadows and slid and grabbed his leg and made him fall to the ground. Bucky caught the ground with his metal hand giving him the ability to flip himself backwards. His boot hit the man in the throat crushing his larynx and he choked to death.

Bucky quickly made his way into the building and he slowly stalked through the hallway. He came to the opening that led to a line of Trucks getting ready to take supplies across the country. He found one of them and he quickly climbed into one.

He closed the door and he hotwired it. He kept the lights off and he backed it away a quiet as he could. He drove away and he got onto a main highway. He was in D.C and now he had to find the Captain.

Peter

Peter opened his eyes and he was still in his quarters. He sat up and the door was closed. He got up and he opened the door and there were S.H.E.I.L.D agents walking past in a hurry. What was going on? Peter walked toward the bridge and he found Fury standing behind two techs.

"Nick, what's going on?"

"Not now Parker"

"Hey, maybe I can help"

"No, it is too big for you"

"Come on Nick, you're the one who convinced me to work with you"

"I said no, and that is final"

"Nick, it's New York" Peter said with no hint of joking in his voice

Fury looked back at him, he sighed and he shook his head.

"Nick?" Peter said

"Out of the bridge, back to your quarters"

"Hey I signed on to help, and you aren't letting me"

"You aren't prepared for it, you could barely fight Winter Soldier"

"Not the point"

"It is the point Parker, I don't need a wild kid down there, which is going to get himself killed"

"Nick, you brought me here to help, how can I when you won't let me?"

"There is more at stake than trying to get all the glory"

"When have I ever tried to get the glory?"

Fury looked at him 'Really'.

"Ok, fine, yes sometimes I let it all get to my head"

"See that is the point, you're not ready for something like this"

"Nick, maybe you should let me go down there…"

"No"

Peter looked at him with a stern face. He nodded his head.

"Fine, you're the boss. I guess I'm not needed after all" Peter said walking away

Peter walked through a hallway and he slammed his fist into the wall denting it. He was ready, he could help. All Nick had to do was give him a chance. Who was he kidding? He signed on and it was to train and be better. How could he get better with no experience? Peter walked into his quarters and he felt furious.

He punched the wall again, he put a dent in it. He rubbed his hand and his suit was cut on the knuckles. He sighed and he looked over at his small desk with the display of the weather on it. He saw his mask, sitting on the desk.

He walked over to it and he grabbed it. He held it in his hands and he stared at the white eyes. How was he supposed to be a hero, if he couldn't do anything right? He had messed up so many times, yet he always found a way to fix it. How could he fix himself?

He threw the mask against the wall and he sat down on the floor. His legs were in Indian style and he stared at the floor. He had his head low and he closed his eyes. He didn't want the glory this time. This wasn't about some island or some villain on S.H.E.I.L.D's list. This was about New York.

His home was being attacked and he was stuck in a helicarrier. He exhaled and he opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling. He frowned and he looked over at his mask. He stood up and he walked over and grabbed it. He stared at the white eyes. There were people in his city that needed his help. The Avengers could probably handle it, but he could help out is some small way.

He turned the mask around and he put it on. It was time for him to make a decision on his own. He was either staying on the helicarrier, following orders, or he was going to fight for his city. He looked up at the ceiling and he closed his eyes and inhaled. He opened his eyes and he knew what he had to do.

Clint

Clint found the jammer, but the thing was. It was being guarded by a whole platoon of soldiers. Clint was high in the rafters of the ship above the jammer. He studied the room for opportunities. He saw that one soldier always moved to a door every two minutes. The rest were standing and they weren't moving.

Clint knew that he really did not have a good chance of success for this mission. He knocked an arrow and he pulled it back. He was firing his own death, or the only way to get help. He aimed at the metal floor and he fired. The arrow hit the floor with a loud clunk. The soldiers all looked at it and then they looked up and Clint was nowhere to be seen. They all started to move around slightly searching for the archer.

Clint fired another arrow and he quickly his again. He pulled himself up onto a higher rafter. He aimed again and fired his third arrow.

"Is he aiming at us?" a soldier asked

"If he is, he's a horrible shot" another responded

A fourth arrow hit the floor and the jammer was still untouched.

"Ok, where is this guy?"

Clint stopped himself from chuckling at the remark. He aimed a fifth arrow and this time he hit a soldier in the foot sticking him to the floor.

"Ah, shit" the soldier howled in pain and he tried to pull the arrow out.

"It's stuck"

Clint pulled himself up higher and he smiled and he pressed a small button on his bow and the arrows slightly moved and red lights came off their tips. They beeped and the soldiers all panicked and they ran out of the way, except for the one pinned to the floor.

The soldier was freaking out and he tried to pull the arrow out, but it wouldn't budge. Clint chuckled and he pressed the button again and they hummed.

"Guys!" the soldier yelled in panic

"No one is here to help you" Clint said

His voice echoed through the room and the soldier looked around madly.

"Where are you?"

"Nowhere"

The soldier had sweat running down his face, his heart was racing and his breathing was becoming ragged. Then he heard the jammer slightly beep. Then the arrows made a loud ear piecing noise and the soldier covered his ears, but he couldn't stop the sound and his ear drums busted and then he fell to the floor unconscious.

Clint lightly chuckled as he walked past the soldier on the ground and he put an explosive charge on the jammer and he made it live and the timer started to count down from two.

Clint ran toward the exit and he made his way back up to the top of the ship with only thirty seconds to spare. Clint ran toward the side of the ship and he jumped off. A building was right below him and it wasn't a far fall. Clint rolled as he hit the roof and he stood up completely fine.

The ship veered to the right out over the Hudson. It shook and then it had a large fire ball fly out of its hull and it lost control and smashing into the water. Clint smiled and he got back on his communicator.

"Bruce?"

The line was still full of static. Clint cursed under his breath and he tried a different line.

"Stark?"

"Yes, Legolas" the billionaire said

"Are you back in New York?"

"Just about to be, did you get the jammer?"

"Yeah, it's at the bottom of the Hudson"

"Where it should be"

"Do you have any help?"

"The National Guard are on their way"

"So it's just us?"

"Until the army boys get here yeah, hey is Bruce's line open?"

"Uh, I don't know if Bruce is Bruce or Hulk"

"That doesn't sound good"

"No it doesn't, hey come get me. My ride was kind of shot down"

"Sure thing Legolas"

Clint shook his head at the nickname. His thoughts went towards Natasha. Where was she?

Steve

Steve stood in his suit and the big white star was on his chest. He stared at it and he grabbed his helmet and he put it on. He stared at himself in the mirror.

"Cap?" Sam asked as he saw Steve staring into the mirror

"Yeah?"

"It's time to move out"

"Ok, get in my truck"

"You have a truck?" Sam asked surprised

"Yes, I have a truck, why is it so hard to believe?"

"I just pictured you in a hybrid" Sam said smirking

"I can't fit in a hybrid"

"I know, that's why it's funny" Sam said walking out of the room

Natasha entered, and she was in her usual suit but this one was newer and wasn't covered in dirt. She had her guns on her thighs and her Widow's bite on her hands.

"Steve, you good?"

"Yeah, it's just…"

"Bucky"

Steve looked at her "How'd you know?"

"If you're ever wearing that look it's about Bucky"

"It's just what Sam said, maybe Bucky isn't someone you save. What if he's someone you stop?"

Natasha wrapped her arms around him, he did the same.

"Steve, you didn't give up on him the first time, don't give up on him now. He deserves a second chance"

"You're right"

"I'm always right" Natasha said burying her face into his chest.

Steve chuckled slightly and he rested his face against her hair. Natasha looked at him and they kissed and they came apart and they looked at each other.

"You ready?" Natasha asked

"Let's go" Steve said
