A/N: I am SO VERY SORRY for this prolongued delay, the last months before school ended for summer break have been so stressful. Christmas and New Year's haven't been relaxing at all for me at least :P I was expecting to travel but since I won't I will be able to update my fics faster :) I hope this is good news. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years (although a bit late). Reviews will be joyfully welcomed! Let me know what you think so far!

Disclaimer: (My first one ever) I don't own gossip girl or Chuck Bass... sadly.

- Well Nathaniel, I can't say I'm surprised really. But is this charming lady you are so fond of, by any chance, Miss Serena van der Woodsen? – asked Chuck with a calm and detached voice.

- In fact, my dearest friend, she is. We plan on getting married as soon as possible. – said Nate, while running his fingers through his already disheveled-looking golden hair.

Chuck raised an inquisitive eyebrow at his friend's over-excitement; he knew there was something more to it but couldn't figure out what it was just yet. He knew everything would surely come out at the right time. For the moment, he just lunged on the leather couch, pretending to listen to his friend's incessant rambling and sipping from his glass of scotch.

He really was marveled at how everything seemed to have turned up favorably for him. Now, with Nathaniel out of the way, he could seduce Blair and do with her as he pleased. He couldn't hide an involuntary smirk at pondering how easy a prey she would be, since she would probably be broken-hearted once she learned her almost-fiancé would be marrying her best friend.

A few days ago

Serena woke up with a humungous headache and feeling her tongue as dry as sandpaper. She sat upright on her bed uncomfortably, scratching her messy golden locks and looking around in confusion.

- Georgie? Are you there? – Serena asked sleepily while she squinted about the room.

A brunette head popped from the bathroom they shared. Georgina looked all pampered and proper, very unlike her usual self. She was wearing a simple grey gown, which showed no cleavage and was not scandalous or whatsoever, her hair was pinned at the top of her head in an orderly and conservative bun. She even had natural make up on and no rouge on her lips.

- Why, I didn't know you had any dress like that Georgie. – smiled Serena as she vigorously rubbed her red eyes and attempted to get out of the bed.

Georgina just threw a fake smile in the direction of the very hung-over blonde, knowing the second phase of her plan was turning out perfectly. Once she had finished fixing her makeup and achieving a look of complete innocence, Georgina stepped out of the bathroom to find Serena trying unsuccessfully to adjust her corset. Plastering a fake friendly smile, Georgina headed towards the hall and called for the maid while Serena washed her face in the bathroom and tried to order her long blonde hair.

- Help Miss Van der Woodsen adjust her corset. – demanded Georgina disdainfully, while looking down scornfully at the very thin and small maid; there was nothing Georgina despised more than the help… well except maybe the snobs from the New York Upper East Side.

Serena sucked in her breath sharply as the maid tied the corset tightly around her waist, causing her chest to rise; afterwards, she chose a pale blue dress for the day and a girly floral bonnet with a light blue ribbon.

- So, Georgie, pray tell me why is your attire so unlike yourself today? Is something happening I'm not aware of? – Asked Serena nonchalantly, glancing at her friend, once she was finished dressing and was combing her long golden hair, which looked as flawless as ever.

- Oh no, nothing at all. It's just that Lilly came in very early to tell us that we were expected to leave for New York in the afternoon and that we should wear something quite comfortable and modest for the long journey.

Serena continued combing her hair until it shone and then proceeded to apply some rouge to her cheeks and naturally rosy lips. She wanted to look her best so no one would suspect about her hang over or terrible migraine. Serena had no idea why her legs and body in general felt so sore; she tried remembering the night before to look for clues as of why she was hurting all over: Had she been dancing with Georgina again? Serena shook her head and tried hard to clear her bewildering thoughts for she had just remembered something, something that had to do with a certain Mr. Archibald... More specifically, improper and unladylike things Mr. Archibald and she had engaged in.

"Holy Lord, I must have been really drunk to have imagined such hideous things, especially with my best friend's almost-fiancé!", thought Serena blaming her overactive imagination of it all before leaving the hotel room along with Georgina.

As she adjusted her position and fidgeted on the carriage she tried to control her headache and the increasing wave of guiltiness that was washing over her. As the ride home went on, more memories resurfaced, memories so filled with excruciating details and so vivid that Serena couldn't help but wonder whether it really was a product of her overactive imagination at all. She hoped it was.

Present time again

Chuck Bass left his suite as soon as he had made sure Nate was profoundly asleep, his first plan was to visit Miss Waldorf, but he knew it would be far too soon… and also too suspicious. He then decided to take a stroll around Central Park until noon, where the time could be more appropriate to pay a visit to Blair. He was just leisurely walking and pretending to admire the landscape when he saw her. She was bent near the pond, feeding the ducks. The moment he saw her, Chuck immediately sensed something was wrong.

Blair Waldorf was never upset, especially not now. Now she was just disappointed and very, very mad. She had just found out through one of her many minions that Mr. Archibald was back in town and had been since the night before. Blair was very disappointed at the fact that she hadn't been the first one to be visited by him; after all, he was her soon-to-be husband and future father of her children. After learning the news, Blair had dismissed her minion coldly and ordered Dorota to accompany her to the duck pond at Central Park. Lately, feeding the ducks was the only thing that could completely relax her… except, of course, for plotting and scheming. She had dismissed Dorota some time earlier and now that she was alone, she could finally give in to her tumultuous thoughts.

Chuck stood for a while there, under the immense shade of that large oak. He was relishing in Blair's exquisite beauty under the morning sunrays, much like a lion stalking his vulnerable prey. He was currently pondering the best way to approach her and make it seem like a mere coincidence. He resumed his nonchalant strolling, but, contrary to before, he now had a purpose and a way to head to.

Blair turned her head just slightly to the right and caught a glimpse of a familiar face with dark and handsome features. Immediately, her pulse quickened and her heart sank, she dismissed it as a nervous reaction and ignored him. She continued feeding the ducks; however, she couldn't stop a light pink from coloring her delicate cheeks.

- Well, if it isn't future Mrs. Archibald. – said Chuck in a mocking tone.

Blair immediately straightened her posture and fixed a fake smile on her pretty face. She turned around casually, deliberately slow, not giving him the pleasure to see her vulnerable or whatsoever.

- Well, if it isn't Manhattan's most notorious womanizer. – responded Blair imitating Chuck's mocking tone.

- See my dear Miss Waldorf, that remark in fact flatters me very much. On the other hand, I can't see how marriage can be flattering for anyone. – said Chuck on a smooth tone, then he looked at Blair up and down in an appreciative manner – Especially for you. – Chuck finished emphasizing his last words.

Blair scoffed when he so openly checked her out although inside she was pleased.

- I can't comprehend what that could possibly mean. Just a few days ago you were so eager to help me marry your friend as soon as possible. – said Blair faking innocence and was pleased to see Chuck lay off a bit.

Chuck was silent for a moment after that, staring off into the pond. Suddenly he faced her and sauntered a little closer to her, almost to the point where their faces were mere inches apart. Blair took in a breath, acting unfazed.

- Sometimes I can't really comprehend myself either. You see, I tend to act on what could serve to amuse me. – answered Chuck slowly, dragging every word out and looking at Blair's irresistible cherry-red lips.

Blair's breaths were now shaky and she could feel her cheeks starting to color.

- However, I now see I could have been wrong before. – Blair suddenly found herself drowning in that deep onyx pool of his dark eyes as he established eye contact – On him you would be just an accessory. On me, you could be so much more.

Chuck closed the small gap between them and Blair's lids closed expecting the much anticipated kiss that was sure to come. Seconds passed and she could feel his hot breath on her face… but nothing happened. Her eyelids slowly fluttered open. The first thing she saw was him smirking down at her.

Her cheeks reddened instantly and she took a big step away from him.

She wanted to scream at him for tricking her so despicably, but the last thing she wanted was to make a scene. She had certainly made a fool of herself. What had she been thinking about when she decided to trust Chuck Bass? Of course everything was for his own amusement; he was the most selfish human being on the face of the Earth. Blair's cheeks flared crimson red in anger and shame.

Chuck still had that infuriating smirk on his face and she wanted to wipe it right off. She turned around in anger.

She decided she would be careful of being alone with Chuck Bass from now on. As she furiously stalked home without a last glance towards Chuck she couldn't help but think that at least no one had witnessed that shameful moment of weakness she had earlier.

Chuck's smirk grew wider as he watched her walk away in indignation, swaying her hips from side to side furiously. He continued his walk around Central Park. His little encounter with Blair making his day infinitely more amusing.

Georgina grinned wickedly as her brunette head disappeared again behind the huge oak near the duck pond in Central Park.

"It seems that the plot thickens", thought Georgina as she discretely walked away from the scene she had just witnessed.

A/N: Just a last brief note. It is not related to this fic or to Gossip Girl but, have any of you seen Frozen? Well I was unsatisfied with the end, especially because I shipped Kristoff and Elsa. Does anyone else out there ship Kristelsa? I have been researching and have sadly realized the Kristelsa fans are very few. :( I have considered writing a Kristelsa fic...
