Steve
Steve followed Natasha out of Sam's house and they walked to his truck. Sam got in first and sat in the back. Natasha climbed up into the truck and opened the door to the passenger side. Steve opened the door to the driver side and got in.
Sam was admiring the interior as Steve turned the truck on. It roared to life and it rumbled. Sam smiled.
"I like this truck" Sam said
"Nat, would you give Sam the added bonus"
Natasha smirked and she opened the side panel on her side and pulled out the short shotgun. She handed it to Sam. He chuckled as he held it in his hand.
"Cap, you're the best" Sam said
Steve smirked and he put his foot on the gas and the truck went forward. Steve turned onto the road and made his way down the empty street.
"Where is everyone?" Natasha asked
"Everyone is inside watching the news on New York" Sam said
"So it's all really happening?" Natasha said looking out of the window
"I guess we didn't blow up that base in time" Steve said
"Yeah"
"Wait, you guys went to a Hydra base?" Sam said surprised
Steve and Natasha both looked back at him "Yeah" they said at the same time
"I wasn't invited" Sam said acting like he was hurt
"It was a blitz decision" Steve said
"It kind of just happened" Natasha said
"So is that when you guys, you know"
Natasha looked at him "What?"
"Nat, Sam knows" Steve said
Natasha kept her eyes on him "You tell anyone I will hunt you down and kill you" she said
"Uh, Widow your scaring me" Sam said worried
Natasha kept her eyes on Sam for another minute not blinking then she looked away. Steve could see her smirking and Sam had no clue. Steve knew not to say anything about her smiling. He kept his eyes on the road and let Sam suffer the worries of having the idea of Natasha hunting him down.
Steve turned down another road and he saw a cat cross the street. The city was truly silent. There wasn't a soul out and all you could see was the street lights and the trash blowing across the street from the wind.
Clint
Tony had taken Clint back to Avenger's tower. They had to check on Bruce and Thor. They arrived and there was a huge hole in the wall and the glass panes that let you look out into the city were shattered. Thor was lying on the floor, and his hammer was next to him.
Clint hurried over to him as Tony looked around. Clint put his hand to the God's throat and he felt a pulse. Thor's eyes shot opened and he jumped up and grabbed his hammer and took Clint to the ground and was ready to strike.
"Whoa point break!" Tony exclaimed
Thor stopped when he noticed that he was about to hit Clint in the face with his hammer.
"Lord of bows" Thor said
"Hey, Thor" Clint said
Thor stood up and help Clint up. Clint brushed rocks from his shoulder.
"Thor where is Bruce?" Tony asked
"I do not know Lord Anthony"
"What happened?" Clint asked
"Something came through the window and took Bruce somewhere"
"What did it look like?"
"Like Lord Anthony" Thor said pointing at Tony
"It wasn't me" Tony said putting his hands up in defense
"So just someone who had your armor"
"Rhodey" Tony said more to himself than to them
"What is Rhodes doing here?"
"No idea" Tony said putting his hands down.
"Well we can't ask questions now, Hydra is about to attack the city" Clint said
"I know that we have me, the guy who never misses and point break, but we are kind at a quarter of our strength." Tony said
"Yeah, Cap and Natasha aren't here either" Clint said
"So its three Avengers against all of Hydra, perfect"
"Well maybe you guys would like some help"
They turned around to the voice but no one was there.
"Ahem, up here" the voice said
Clint looked up to see the kid in the red and blue suit with big white eyes.
"Spidey" Tony said
"Where's Fury?" Clint asked
"He kind of doesn't know I'm here right now. I kind of disobeyed his orders. Hey this is my home, no way am I not going to defend it" Spiderman said dropping down to the floor.
"Ok kid, but if we're doing this, you follow every order without question. We clear?" Clint asked
"Yeah, sure thing archie, just tell me where to go"
"Well now we're four" Tony said
"Man of Spiders" Thor said walking up to Peter, who only came up to Thor's chest.
"No, it's Spiderman" Peter said
Thor looked at him "Man of Spiders is fine though" Peter said
"Ok, well it's time to kick some ass" Clint said
"Ok, so what's the plan?" Peter asked
Clint stopped and he looked at him.
"You don't have one do you?" Peter said
"Cap usually makes the plans"
"Well he's not here right now so someone speak up" Peter said
"Ok Thor work on taking out those ships, Clint find a roof and spot out targets for me. Spidey keep the citizens from getting hurt." Tony said
"That I can do" Peter said running out of the tower's windows and he swung away.
"What can I say, he grows on you" Tony said
Rumlow
Rumlow got his equipment ready and soldiers were standing at the ready in the wide open space. Skull was standing on a metal bridge that was above them. He was wearing a black iron man suit. Bruce was on his knees and he had his hands tide. Rumlow stood with the other soldiers waiting for the Skull's command.
"Tonight, we destroy the Avengers and New York city. From its ashes, a new order will rise. We will first take out our enemy, then the world, Hail Hydra" Skull said
Bruce watched as all the soldiers put two fists into the air and they all yelled "HAIL HYDRA, HAIL HYDRA!" This was what the world was going to be turned into. A massive Nazi world. He still had a trick up his sleeve. Skull looked down at him and he pulled him to his feet.
"Look Doctor, the new world order has begun"
"It looks more like a group of old Nazis that haven't truly realized that they had lost seventy years ago" Bruce said
"We never lost, we had a setback, then we waited then we struck."
"Cap stopped you"
"He stopped new Hydra, old Hydra. My Hydra, much worse" Skull said
"I can't wait to see the look on your face, when you lose"
"Doctor, it is only three Avengers against my Armada, and I just took their strongest member hostage"
"Cap will show up"
"Not if Winter Soldier kills him first"
Bruce looked at him "You forgot about one thing though"
"What is that?"
"I can control my anger, can you?"
"What do you mean by that?" Skull asked
Bruce closed his eyes and took in a deep breath and he opened them and his eyes were bright green, he smiled and he turned into the Hulk. Skull backed off and Hulk roared and kicked him across the bridge.
The Hydra soldiers saw this and aimed and fired at the huge green monster. Hulk jumped down and smashed the ground sending a shock wave towards and group of soldiers and they were thrown into the air. Hulk grabbed one of them and threw him into another group. He smiled and jumped towards another group who screamed as he came toward them.
Fury
Fury walked down the hallway towards Parker's quarters. He opened the door and there was no one inside. He looked around and there was a small note on the desk. Fury grabbed it and he read it. You can take this as my resignation, Fury, see you in New York ;).
Fury put the note back and he almost smirked at it and he went back to the bridge.
"How long till we reach New York?"
"Two more hours' sir" a tech answered
"Pray to God were aren't late" another tech said
"Stark got the National Guard, what is their ETA?"
"They will be arriving in about less than an hour"
"Well at least they will get some help"
Clint
Clint was on top of a roof and he was watching as the ships got closer to the city. He knew he had gotten the jammer, but now it was all about timing. He could see the guns coming out of the ship's hull. He knew all too well what those things could do to the city.
The cities lights gave them a good advantage. They were dark and it was hard to see them. Thunder rumbled through the air and lighting shot across the sky. Clint looked up and he saw a red cape fly past him. Then the closest ship to the city suddenly dipped and then fire exploded out its sides.
"Go get them Thor" Clint muttered and he saw the army vehicles on the street below.
Clint smirked and he saw the Ships open up and hundreds of small manned ships flew out of them.
"Stark, you have friends"
"I see them" Tony's voice was in his ear
Clint saw as Tony flew forward and he fired rockets and they blew up numerous ships. Tony banked and he put his hands up and yellow beams fired and they burned through a ship. Tony hovered and he charged up his chest and fired. The beam pieced three ships. Tony flew toward one of them.
He landed on the deck and he kicked a soldier. A bullet glanced off his shoulder. Tony fired his hands and he flew forward and tackled one of the soldiers off the ship. Tony barrel rolled and he shot down another ship.
"You're making fireworks out there Stark" Clint said
"I just had to make my usual flare"
Tony was hit by an energy blast and he flew into a building. He broke through the brick wall and went through two rooms. He landed on a dresser and he grunted and stood back up. There was Skull, hovering in the air.
"Legolas" Stark said and then he was tackled by Skull as he flew forward and they both flew out the other side of the building.
They fell onto a car and Tony kicked him off. Skull flew away and he stopped himself by hovering.
"You seem surprised Stark" Skull said
"I hate surprises" Tony grunted and he stood up
"You're out match" Skull said pointing at him
"Then come down here if you're so much better than me"
Skull chuckled and he extinguished the jets and he landed on the street with a metal thud. He stood up and he stood ready.
"You make first move"
"Gladly" Tony said charging up his chest and fired
Skull dodged out of the way and ran toward him. Tony put his right hand up and fired. Skull slid down on his knees and he came up and punched him in the gut denting his armor. Tony grunted and he leaned forward and Skull kneed him in the head. Tony stumbled backwards and he fell to his knees shaking his head.
"You rely on technology too much. Where is your skill in combat?" Skull asked mockingly
Tony's face contorted and he used his jets and he launched into the air and he flew forward and hit Skull. They both flew into a car and Tony grabbed him and threw him across the street and he jumped forward with the help of his thrusters and he punched Skull in the face.
Skull landed on his chest and Tony kicked him into a car. Skull slowly got up.
"You were saying" Tony said putting his hand up
Skull put his hand up and fired. The beam of energy hit Tony in the gut and he fired and hit Skull in the face. Skull flew backwards holding his face and he howled in pain and he tore it off. He stared at Tony with a burning in his eyes.
"Man, you are ugly" Tony said
Skull grunted in anger and he ran at Tony. Tony dodged him and he came around and kicked him in the back. Skull launched back with the thrusters and he elbowed Tony in the face. Tony grunted and he staggered backwards.
"What was that line you said? Oh yeah, I'm superior. You know I know a guy who said that to me once. He's dead now"
Skull spit blood out of his mouth and he kicked Tony into a building.
Clint watched as Skull ran into the building, he looked around quickly and he saw a crane. He smiled and he put his hand to his ear.
"Hey kid"
"Yes archie" Peter said
"See that red crane"
"Yeah"
"I am counting on you to catch me"
"Catch you?"
Clint ran forward and he jumped off the roof and he flew down towards the street. Peter saw him from a distance and he quickly shot out a web and he used all his strength to swing himself over. He swung again and he was close. He flew through the red crane's opening and he caught Clint and he fired a web to the right and they both swung toward it.
"Thanks kid" Clint said and he let go of Spiderman and he fell the rest of the way.
Peter looked down at him wide eyed and he saw Clint land on a bus and he rolled off and landed on his feet and ran towards the building Tony was in.
"I'll give him that, was impressive" Peter said then he saw a ship fly toward him.
"Oh boy" Peter said and he put his feet on the wall and he jumped off and he slammed against the ship and it flew down towards the street. He was on the main window and he could see the pilot.
"Huh, who knew I would be seen on a windshield" Peter said chuckling
The pilot looked at the strange thing on his windshield and he turned the ship upside down. Peter stuck on and he waved at the pilot and he punched through the wind shield and he pulled him out of the ship.
Peter tossed him away and caught him in a cocoon of web and he jumped off and swung away towards the Empire State building. Peter grunted as he swung up and he landed on the roof of a skyscraper. He ran across the roof and he jumped over the side and he landed on another ship. He shot two webs on either wing.
"Attention flyers, flying too close to buildings is known as a crime" Peter said and he grunted and pulled the wings and they bent up wards.
"Have a safe landing" He said and he jumped off and shot it with a web and he stuck it to the side of a building and it hung there like a fish out to dry.
Peter chuckled and he swung toward the water.
Clint dove through the window and he fired an arrow and it hit a soldier. Three more turned toward shim and he quickly rushed them. He snapped one of their necks and he kicked another one into the wall. He wrapped his bow around the other and he brought his bow over his head and the man flipped over him and landed on a desk.
Clint smirked and he continued towards the stairs. He could hear Tony and Skull fighting. Clint kicked a door off its hinges and it hit another soldier. Clint ran into the room and he could see Skull kicking Tony through a wall.
He knocked an arrow and fired. It hit Skull and it beeped and it heated the armor. Skull grunted in pain and he pulled the arrow out. He looked over at Clint and he threw the arrow away. Skull took a step toward him and then Tony flew by tackling him through the wall and back out into the street.
Clint ran toward the hole and he jumped out of it and rolled to break his fall and he was face to face with Skull. Skull smiled and he grabbed Clint and he threw him into a wall and he aimed at him. Tony flew down and kicked him and stopped him from killing Clint.
Clint grunted and stood up and he wiped blood from his nose and he ran towards them both. Tony punched Skull in the face and Clint jumped up and put his legs around Skull and he flipped him. Clint rolled backwards and up to his feet. He exhaled as Skull stood back up.
Skull grunted and he fired and hit Tony and he tackled Clint and flew up into the air with Clint stuck on his shoulder.
"Let's see the Hawk fly" Skull said and then he threw Clint away and he fell towards the city.
Clint felt the wind rushing past his face and it made his eyes water. He was higher than the Empire state building. Clint panicked and he looked around madly and he left his bow were his feet were last. He braced as he passed a skyscraper and he was going to hit the street. He put his hands up as the street came close and he passed a lamp post about to smash into the ground.
Clint closed his eyes and he felt something catching him and he felt himself flipping and arms around him. Then the world came back to a stop and he was in an embrace. Hulk grunted as he uncovered Clint and let him stand up. Clint's eyes were wide and he swallowed.
"Thanks big guy"
Hulk stood up and he grunted and he could see a street full of Hydra soldiers. Clint looked at them.
"All yours"
Hulk smiled and he ran forward and he knocked a car out of the way. Clint made his way back to where he left his bow and there it was on the ground. He ran and grabbed it and he knocked an arrow and he saw a ship fly above him and he quickly fired and it hit the ship and its engine bugged out and couched and it hit a building and exploded.
Steve
Steve turned the truck towards one of the memorials. He heard a truck honk and he looked in his review mirror. A large truck was coming towards them.
"Brace!" Steve yelled
Natasha noticed the truck behind them and then it hit them. The truck flew into the air and it rolled across the street and into the grass. The truck stopped and landed on it wheels in the grass with a huge dent in the back of it.
Steve groaned and his eyes widened as the truck hit them again, this time his door. The shock of the vehicles colliding sent them flying into the Lincoln memorial. The truck slid on its roof and they slammed into Lincoln's feet.
Steve had ringing in his ears and the world was upside down. He felt blood running down his face and he could hear breathing from the back and the passenger side of the truck. He sighed and he knew that they were all alive. The enemy truck stopped and Bucky got out of it and he walked toward them. He pulled Steve's door off and he grabbed Steve and threw him across the floor and he hit the wall with his back. Bucky turned toward him and he pulled out a knife.
Steve sat up and he grunted in pain as he cracked his back. He felt blood in his mouth and he clenched his teeth. Bucky was walking towards him with a knife ready. He grabbed him by the collar and pulled Steve into the air. He held him with his metal arm in the air and he held the knife in the other. He looked at Steve and Steve looked at him and Bucky went to stab him.
