Rated T for language and talk of sex.

Tony's usual amount of panic attacks had tripled, and it wasn't even his fault.

"What if she's just using him for the fact he's close to the Avengers and she wants to be on the news or something?"

Tony groaned, and continued pacing. He'd walked around the whole Avengers facility fifteen times today, huffing and puffing like a dragon when he completed each lap.

"What if she's a spy for a foreign country?"

"We work for the U.N., Tony. We're employed by the world," Natasha replied, reaching her hand into her Doritos bag.

"Shut up, Natasha! What if she's secretly twenty years older than her?"

"Have you seen her? She's tiny!"

"What if they have sex?"

Natasha rolled her eyes, crunching down on a Dorito loudly.

"Natasha! Answer me!"

"Tony, you literally look like you're doing jumping jacks."

"Will that make me feel better?"

"I do—don't know."

"Damn it!"

Ever since Gwen arrived and Tony had walked in on the couple in an intense make out session, he'd been freaking out over Peter. Obviously, he had a great deal of responsibility watching an overly-excitable teenage boy, but now that there were two females on the picture, he didn't know what to do at all. Gwen and Peter had been spending the last two days cuddling, kissing, and talking about comic books and the latest and greatest scientific advancement.

Natasha thought Tony was more torn over this whole situation that Peter himself was. All last night, Tony had been complaining and fretting over Peter's relationship with both Mary Jane and Gwen.

"He's playing two girls at once!"

"I think Gwen knows that he's dating Mary Jane."

"Peter is compromising his virtue!"

"He and Gwen aren't even dating!"

"But they were kissing!"

"You've kissed multiple people too."

"Hey! I've cleaned up my act!"

"And then the girl you cleaned it up for dumped you . . ."

"Burn!"

Tony stalked out. His mind swirled desperately, trying to put his words together. They were muddled together in a tumbling, bumbly mess. He desperately tried to consider all of his options . . . Should he punish Peter for dating two girls at once? Or should he let it slide? After all, like Natasha had pointed out, he had dated multiple people at once as well.

Peter, however, wasn't like Tony. He wasn't devious and malicious like he was. The young kid simply didn't know how to break up with Mary Jane.

Maybe I could give him some advice . . .

He headed towards Peter's bedroom, and prayed that Peter and Gwen weren't doing anything too racy. When he reached the bedroom, he barged in, ready to tell Peter what to do. He didn't expect to see Gwen and Peter sitting on his bed, casually talking. For some odd reason, Peter's hair was combed, and a radiant smile was playing on his lips. Gwen was curled up on the pillows, her blonde hair tied up into a simple low ponytail. They seemed to be in a deep discussion, but they both seemed very content to just be in each other's presence.

"Uh, hi guys."

"Hello, Mr. Stark," Gwen chirped, sitting up quickly "How're you today?"

"Fine—just fine. I'm sorry, but I need to borrow Peter. If ya don't mind, of course."

"Go ahead."

She smiled gently at Peter, who leaned over and squeezed her hand. Peter headed towards the door, closing it soundly behind him.

"What's up, Tony?"

"Are you still with Mary Jane?"

"I actually was talking to Gwen about that."

"Uh—oh, good. That's fabulous." So, here's the deal. Now that you have a girlfriend that you actually like, I think we should set up some ground rules."

Peter stared at him blankly, and tilted his head to the side. Tony frowned, and crossed his arms in front of him. He could play the father figure; he could show all the tough-love in the world! Tony tilted his head back, praying that he looked intimidating to his ward.

Damn, I wish I was taller!

He considered shifting his weight to his toes, so he'd appear taller. Peter was smart though, and would probably notice. Tony's heart pounded loudly in his chest, and he could almost feel the sweat forming around his hairline.

"What are the rules, Tony?" Peter asked innocently.

Tony wondered if Peter was trying to be sassy, but one look at the confused boy's face showed that he actually thought Tony had some rules. He grimaced.

"Well—uh—I haven't thought of them just yet. I'll—uh—get back to you. Better yet, we'll get back to you. As far as I'm concerned, this is all of your guardians business so Natasha, Vision and Rhodey will be joining us! Please be in the conference room at five PM. That gives you four hours!"

Peter blinked.

"Look, son. I know this all must stink for you, but I am trying to protect you by setting up some—well—er—"

"Healthy boundaries?"

"Um—yeah—sure. You also need to break up with Mary Jane because you obviously don't like her anymore. Even if she is a bitch doesn't mean that she doesn't deserve a clear answer like everyone else on the goddamned planet."

"Yes, sir."

"Good boy."

He's not a dog, dumbass. Damn, I need to work on this parenting thing.

Peter stood their uncomfortably, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. A small frown was plastered on his face, and his eyes flashed agitatedly. His arm was still bound in his cameo cast.

"Have you told Gwen about you being Spiderman yet?"

"Well—um—not exactly."

"You need to do that, okay? I don't want to go into the meeting with her not knowing."

"Yes, sir."

"Okay."

Tony patted Peter on his shoulder fondly. He wanted to help Peter not to end up all screwed like he was when he was a teenager. When Tony's parents punished him for his various antics, he'd get mad, yell, and cuss off his parents.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Tony was willing to admit he cared for Peter, and although he hadn't known them long, he wanted to be a rock in Peter's life. As a kid who didn't get too much stability in his later years, he desired to provide that.

Peter also was his first kid, so he was learning.

"Uh, Gwen?"

"Yeah?"

Peter's heart flipped in his chest as he looks at Gwen. She was still perched on his bed, smiling sweetly. Everything about her was exquisite; Gwen possessed something that not a lot of other people had. Gwen's nature was supportive and gentle . . . She also was spunky and independent, but recognized that she needed others to help support her. She had goals over her own, but also supported Peter's.

Gwen accepted Peter for who he was, and always. Part of him was positive she wouldn't get too angry at him for hiding his superhero alias from her, but then again . . . women sometimes were finicky, even ones like Gwen. He didn't have a whole lot of experience to go off of, but he'd heard horror stories whispered in the hallways of his Queens high school.

For a split second, he analyzed Gwen Stacy. She seemed to be in a good mood with her bright smile shining on her face. In her hands was Peter's iPad, where they had been watching Forensic Files together.

"Peter?"

"Um . . . What?"

"Nothing, you just seem a little . . . agitated."

"Tony wants to hang out with us a little before dinner."

"Oh, that's cool!"

"Um, yeah. I guess so."

Gwen pursed her lips, and stuck out one of her hands to Peter. Peter grasped it with his free hand, and squeezed it tightly. As she gazed up at him, he immediately knew something was wrong.

"Peter?"

"Um—Uh—We need to talk."

Gwen nodded slowly, and bit her bottom lip nervously.

Damn, she looks beautiful!

He crawled up next to her on the bed, she laid her head on his shoulder. Peter exhaled slowly.

"Wow, you're hearts going a mile a minute," Gwen said jokingly, running her fingers over his hand.

"Is it?"

Silence.

"Gwen, you know Chad?"

"Spiderman?"

"Yeah, yeah. Spiderman. I—uh—kind of—um—wanted to tell you something about him."

"Like what?"

"Like . . . Like the—uh—fact of—"

"That Chad isn't real?"

"What?"

"Chad isn't real, is he?"

"N—no."

"And you're Spiderman."

"Wh—What? How?"

"Peter, I'm not dumb. I was waiting for you to tell me."

"Why didn't you—you know—confront me about it sooner?"

"I was going to, but when you started—uh—dating Mary Jane—you know—I didn't think you'd want to talk to me. When I first came here, I kinda wanted you to tell me yourself."

Peter touched her face slowly, his eyes wide with disbelief

"Y—You aren't mad?"

Gwen suddenly through back her head, laughing hysterically. Peter shifted nervously, and prayed silently that she wasn't laughing at him.

"You are literally the most adorable person I have ever met!"

"W—what?"

"Of course I'm not mad! I actually think it's really cool!"

She leaned over to him, and pressed her lips to his. He sighed, and wrapped his un-broken arm around her waist, and pushed her down onto the pillows.

Kissing her was like a miracle, some sacred and unearthly action that made Peter soar. Finally, he reluctantly pulled away, and rolled over onto his side.

"Watch your arm," Gwen whispered, smoothing her bangs.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Five PM . . .

"Secretary Ross!" Tony called out, crossing the conference room "What're you doing here?"

"I was in town, and Rhodes told me you were having a conference of some type. I thought I'd drop by and see what shit you boys are up to."

"Oh—um—well, this isn't really an official conference."

"Stark, don't play games with me."

Secretary Ross promptly sat down in the chair at the end of the table, and set his briefcase down in front of him. Tony gulped, and shook his head quietly. The Vision appeared through the wall, dressed in his street clothes. In his hands was a tattered copy of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's. For some strange reason, the android treasured this particular book more than any of the others. Maybe because Wanda love this story, and the copy he was reading use to belong to her. In a way, it made him feel closer to her.

"Hello Vision."

"Secretary Ross."

Vision sat down in one of the chairs, and immediately stuck his nose back into his book. Rhodey, wheeled in by Natasha, came in with all smiles. He and Secretary Ross shook hands.

Ross then turned to Natasha.

"Agent Romanoff."

"Secretary Ross."

Suddenly, the door banged open. There, standing in the doorway, stood Gwen and Peter. They were holding hands, and Gwen seemed extremely confident. Peter, on the other hand, appeared a little strained. He was squeezing Gwen's hand tightly; yeah, he was definitely nervous.

"So," Tony cleared his throat "Let's get started."

Everyone else sat around the table, murmuring silently.

"Okay, so . . . Rhodey told you all, including Secretary Ross, that we had a meeting. See, you all probably thought that this was all some official meeting. Y'know, for the U.N. or something like that. It's actually not . . . "

Tony gulped.

"It's actually so the Avengers, Peter's guardians, were going to set some—uh—ground rules for his new—um—relationship with Gwen. That's the girl who's right there."

He then pointed at Gwen, who smiled uncomfortably. She hadn't realized that Secretary Ross was going to be there, and since she was into politics, his presence was awe-inspiring and a little unsettling.

"So are you telling me that you guys called me here to be a part of some stupid pep-talk?"

"Hey! I didn't invite you! Rhodey did!"

"But you didn't tell me that!" Rhodey protested.

Natasha rolled her eyes, and Vision stared sympathetically at Peter.

"So, I think we should get started," Tony announced "Okay, so . . . You guys can state your opinion if you want. Let's get this rolling . . . So, first rule! No sex!"

Silence.

Peter blushed bright red, and Gwen suddenly dropped his hand. Tony's heart went out to the young couple and wished he didn't have to do this. Tony was determined though; he had to make sure that this young couple stayed safe.

"I don't care if you use protection or birth control or all that crap! I want you two to be safe!"

Tony choked. Yea, scolding the two kids about protection in front of Secretary of Ross was pretty weird . . . A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, but he gulped it back down, opening his trap to continue. Gwen and Peter stared at him intensely. Gwen look genuinely interested in what Tony's rules were.

Damn! She's too sweet!

Peter, on the other hand, looked completely mortified, and Tony didn't blame him.

Okay, maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

"I—I'm just—uh—saying that I don't want you having sex in the facility. It's really Aunt May's—err—job to decide what you do outside of the HQ."

"Tony's jus jealous that he's not getting any action," Natasha said, giggling merrily.

"Hey!"

"Oh my god!" Peter exclaimed.

Secretary Ross started laughing, and Rhode joined him. Vision looked confusedly from Natasha to Peter to Tony. Gwen grab bed Peter's hand again, and squeezed it encouragingly.

This is a mess!

"Just to clarify," Tony called "I'm not jealous of anyone, especially not Peter. No offense!"

"None taken?"

"Okay, okay. Let's get moving. Rule number two."

Tony stopped.

He then burst out laughing.

"Holy shit!" he crowed, lowering his head to the table "This is epic!"

"Tony?" Peter asked, setting his good elbow on the table.

"Screw the rules, man! This isn't gonna work anyway."

"Uh—okay?"

"You and Gwen go back to whatever you were doing before, and order some pizza. I think we should celebrate!"

They did celebrate, but not particularly for any reason. Rhodey told stories about Tony's escapades, and then Tony would protest, saying that he was exaggerating. Secretary Ross seemed really unimpressed by it all, but talked to Gwen about his career in the world of politics. Gwen was enthralled, and shot questions rapid-fire style.

Peter watched Gwen, and smiled to himself.

She was perfect!

"Damn it! I gotta break up with Mary Jane!"
