Chapter Nine

(Alex's and Luis's pov)

Alex stood in front of a tube, their latest creation. It was that of Nemesis who was asleep at the moment as he was two percent away from completion. She smirked as she looked at the data, seeing the G-virus had bonded well with the B.O.W. She was quiet happy with that. "Are you almost done, Luis?" she asked the Spaniard and looked at him.

"I should be finished soon..." Luis said reluctantly not wanting to set that thrice damn collar off. Looking at the plagas he was making with venom and the uroboros with disgust. It seems the world found deadlier viruses to use after his death. Honestly it made him both sad and angry that the world was so close to self destruction like Wesker said.

He still had hope for the world though, that was the difference between them.

Unknown to them a Dark Corridor opened up away from them in the shadows. A figure quietly stepping through it and looks around a bit. Taking in his surroundings before he spots the two scientists working in the lab, but what got his attention is those collars on their necks. The figure could recognize that stench of darkness the collars gave off anywhere.

'So the witch has been busy like the old man said. I wonder what the old man wants with those research notes, but I guess I won't know until I grab it...' The figure thought sneaking in the shadows as he waited for a chance to make his move.

Alex nodded. "Good. Maleficent wants him done before Lanna and her friends get to the machine" she said as Luis grunted, hoping that Sora and the others could save the poor girl before she turned completely. Being controlled by the plagas was a fate worse than death. He looked at the B.O.W. he had been working on and frowned heavily and turned away. He grabbed a syringe and injected it into a tube that was attached to the machine that held Nemesis.

"How much longer do we have?" He asked, keeping his back turn. There were files everywhere on the tables, all labeled by the two scientists.

'Those two should be done soon, once they finish and leave. I can go through their files and copy what I can, before checking on Xehanort's potential candidate.' The figure thought taking a second look around and had to admit some of the creatures sleeping in their cages were quite ugly in appearance. Maybe even scary if they jump out at you in the dark.

The two scientists worked for a bit longer as they checked the monsters in their tanks. They would beep when they were done. Luis was working on the idea of helping Lanna and the others, wanting to do something as he followed Alex out the door, shutting it. He knew Leon and his wife, Claire were in cages and the baby due any time now. Could he do something...? 'Hm...if the baby is born...I can get Lanna and her friends to come find it,' he thought.

'Thank God they're gone.' The figure thought walking up to their research and copying any data he could onto the blank discs. It was almost too easy, but he knew better than to get careless. That cost him in the past and he rather avoid that happening again. Finishing with his task. He started going through their cameras to locate his target.

"Ahh..there you are keyboy, looking good so far." The figure murmured quietly to himself, but zooms the lens on Lanna. "This must the girl Xehanort was talking about, the one who helped Sora become more accepting of his darkness." Braig says memorizing the place and shutting down the computer to avoid suspicion. Then opening a dark corridor to escape with no one aware he was there walking through it with a relaxed pace. "Might as well thank her for doing us a favor." The figure says as the portal closes behind him.

As soon as he left, Alex and Luis came back into the room, unaware of the figure's departure. Everything was in place as they resumed working. There was a beep as Nemesis was finished. Alex smirked, hearing the sound. "Yes...Albert and Maleficent will be happy," she said and looked at Luis. "Keep an eye on it while I alert them." She turned on her heal and headed out of the room again, going to find her brother and the witch.

Luis watched her go and sighed heavily. He frowned as he turned on the monitor and checked the papers on Claire's health as well as the baby. He blinked in surprise. "The baby is due to be born sometime today..." he murmured. It didn't leave him much time.

(Scene Change: Leon, Claire, and Pete 3rd P.O.V.)

Leon shuddered as he heard the unmistakable breathing of the Iron Maidens and Regenerators, only to pale as he saw four of them coming out of the door toward Sora's group. Not once did he have to fight four in the same room at the same time and honestly he was worried about them. Especially Sora and Riku as they clearly prefers up close combat with their keyblades.

"Not those damn things again..." Leon mutters under his breath, cursing Maleficent for bringing back so many things that haunted their nightmares. He held Claire close as he felt her rest her head on his chest. Leon could tell she was getting close to the time the baby had to be born and both were worried what would happen to their baby boy.

Claire watched with worry as they saw the Iron Maidens coming towards the group. "I remember you saying that they were hard to kill..." she said and grunted as she felt a pain surge through her. The contractions had started to hit, but it wasn't enough to cause worry yet. "I hope...Sora and Riku will be alright..." She was worried about the boys for the same reason as Leon. The others weren't close counter fighters, but if they did get too close they would get hurt.

She saw Lanna tell Goofy and Donald to keep Sherry, Elly, and Kairi safe before joining the others. "Leon...do you think Lanna will be alright...?" she asked.

"Lanna's smart and I told her what to watch out for against these B.O.W.s, but Sora, Riku, and Kairi are my concern against those monsters." Leon said watching with a small sigh of relief to see Sora and Riku start shooting giant fireballs at them. Setting them on fire as a means to try to kill the plaga parasites. Despite them being invisible to the naked eye, much like he tried in the past and proven effective.

Claire nodded. "I'm sure she and Jake told them to be careful," she said as they saw Ada and Lanna shooting at the Iron Maidens, doing some damage. Blasting off legs, arms, and parts of the heads to slow the creatures down. Kairi summoned her keyblade, shooting fireballs at the monsters from her place.

"Come on, guys, you can do it..." Leon said seeing one Iron Maiden explode from losing it's plagas so far.

(Scene Change: Sora's group 3rd P.O.V.)

"Keep it up guys! We got one down and three more to go!" Jake shouts as everyone was busy shooting the Iron Maidens or setting them on fire with fireballs.

Ada kept shooting with her machine gun as the sounds of bullets hitting the monsters echoed, as the shells hit the ground. Lanna gritted her teeth as she aimed for creature in front of her and Ada, it's grey body twitching heavily. It growled as it's spikes thrust forward and Lanna yanked Ada back before she could get pierced. A second Iron Maiden exploded from a fireball from Kairi.

"Two more!" Sherry called out, seeing the monster explode. Another lumbered towards Sora and Riku, growling and twitching heavily as it lunged at them with the spikes. "Careful guys!"

"I see it!" Sora shouts jumping over it with a flip, only to hiss in pain as a spike scratched Sora's back and shoulder. before landing behind the creature and magic dashing away to avoid being impaled. Riku seeing the creature distracted charges both hands with Dark Firaga and unleashes a barrage on the Iron Maiden. Forcing it stumbling back before exploding from the flames and constant force of the attacks.

"That's one more down and one to go!" Sora cheers at Riku's victory against the Iron Maiden.

The last one headed towards Jake, growling. Lanna slipped behind it and summoned her light around her gun and fired. The light powered bullet sailed and hit the creature, halting it before it exploded, splattering her and Jake in yellow blood. "Yuck...I really didn't need a blood shower," she grumbled and wiped her face.

"Could be worse," Kairi said and winced when she got the death glare from the older red head. "Sorry..." Lanna nodded. "It's fine," shew said sighing. "At least it's not manure..."

"I am so getting a nice hot shower when I get back home..." Jake muttered wiping the blood off of his face and shaking it off his hands.

"Ugh...I know the feeling..." Lanna said grunting a bit as she stepped behind a dumpster and yanked off her ruined shirt. "Don't you dare look!" Goofy and Donald turned their backs as Lanna tossed a package of wet wipes at Jake. She used another to wash her face and chest. Kairi sighed a bit. "She had to take her shirt off..." she said.

"We don't know what is in the blood and if it gets into an open wound it could cause trouble," Ada said to the girl. "Though Sora has been good with keeping the wounds closed."

"H-Healing magic does wonders!" Sora stuttered trying not to think about Lanna without a shirt on, he caught her taking it off before spinning around to avoid seeing too much. All he saw was most of her bare back, not that anyone else knew, but found trying not to think of it hard. Part of his mind curious about how she looks without a shirt on.

"You alright, Sora?" Riku asks also looking away out of respect from his position, thankful he turned before he could see anything. He had heard how women could beat the living shit out of grown men for doing such things.

Sherry looked at Sora, hearing the teen stutter and raised a brow, but held back a grin as she had an idea that he had seen some of Lanna before he turned around. She knew Jake would tease him if he found out. "How are you doing Lanna?" she asked, hearing the girl curse lightly. "Fine, but if my shirt gets any more holey, I'll be walking around in my sports bra," she said sighing. "How the heck did you and the others get lucky in that department?" She stepped out from behind the dumpster and it was evident that her shirt had seen better days.

"Well I never cared personally if they ripped my shirt or not." Jake said with a smug look as he winked in Sherry's direction. "Sherry never complained about seeing me without a shirt and I know she looked good too." Jake finished with a teasing smile and tone to his voice, he knew she'd get him for it later in foreplay, but damn would it be worth it!

Sherry blushed and smirked at him. "Heh, men have it easier than women," she said, winking at him. "Men don't have to worry about their breasts jiggling when fighting." She would get him back for that and ideas for revenge was already swirling in her head. Ideas involving fuzzy hand cuffs and the head board.

Lanna blushed heavily at that, shifting on her feet and shyly glanced at Sora, seeing his face and swallowed. "Nice you two...advertise your private time behind bedroom doors," she said, though her mind wondered to that light intense make out with Sora earlier in the bedroom.

Jake seeing Sora's face flushed and Lanna blushing decided to tease Sora for what he suspects he did. What better way to get information out of two shy blushing teens than some harmless teasing?

"Hey, Sora, you look a little red over and stuttered earlier. Are you sure you're not catching a fever or something?" Jake asks Sora, but the tone of his voice hinted something Sora dreaded to ask. How much did Jake really know and would he kill him for it?

"I'm fine! Uh...just fine, probably the heat from all my fire spells." Sora said trying to excuse himself as Riku shot Sora a knowing smirk. The kind Sora knew meant he would keep the secret, but he'd be getting teased for it later.

Lanna looked at Sora and looked at Jake, her face red as well. "Yeah...that's what it is," she said quickly. "It did get a bit warm in here with the spells." Sherry gave a knowing smirk at the girl, but said nothing. Ada chuckled at the blushing teens faces while Kairi raised a brow at them.

Riku deciding to spare them anymore torment decides to get the attention off of them. "Ada, how much further ahead must we go?"

Ada looked at him. "We don't have much farther to the first location to Chris and Jill," she said and pulled out her map. "It's beyond this hallway and room." Lanna perked up at this and smiled. "Really? That's great!" she said as she was relieved to hear they were getting closer to reaching her aunt and uncle.

"Then let's get going and rescue them!" Sora said ready to charge in and rescue them, only Riku restrains him this time by grabbing his arm. "Oh no you don't, Sora! No recklessly running ahead of us this time!"

Kairi groaned and shook her head at Sora's enthusiasm. "You're gonna get killed or seriously hurt Sora..." she said, worried about him. "I know we want to save them, but who knows what we'll face when we get passed those doors..." Sherry nodded as Donald and Goofy went to push the dumpster can that had been blocking the doorway. "It's open!" Goofy said as they waited for the others to join up. Elly groaned in her sleep and murmured. 'Dad...mom..." she said.

Lanna stroked her hair gently, sighing. "Shh...we'll find them," she said softly. She knew it couldn't be easy on her cousin who was much younger than her. She just hoped that Elly wouldn't have nightmares after this and looked at Jake.

"It's like Super girl said, it'll be okay. Besides, we can still save your dad and I know we have a good shot at it now. After all, you know Wesker likes to do things his way, which means he won't back out of his own deal until it's too late. If we hit the dungeon and free them fast enough, he can't do shit to stop us." Jake explains hoping to ease Lanna about what happened to her mother and hopefully raise her morale.

Lanna nodded. "I know..." she said as she did feel a bit better and sighed. "Let's just find them." She gave a small smile at Jake and turned towards the double doors, pushing them open. A hallway filled with pipes along the walls and ceiling greeted them, as a flashing yellow light made everything look orange and strained the eyes. Four infected army men and a giant with half of it's face covered by a metal plate greeted them. The giant carried a spiked spear and growled as they saw the group enter.

"I am really getting tired of being growled at," Lanna said as she had lost count at how many times they had been growled at since the start of this mission.

"I'll take the guy with the spear." Sora said smirking at the challenge of a spear fighter instead of all these guns lately.

"I guess that leaves us with the army men, then." Jake said pulling out his samurai edge and opened fire on one of the army men. Making the man hold his face in pain as he stumbled slightly.

The guy with the spear growled and charged at Sora, surprisingly fast as it brought the spear up and ready to slam it into the teen if he wasn't careful.

Ada and Lanna nodded as they got ready. "Let the fun begin," Ada said as she opened fired on one infected while Lanna took care of another, easily disposing it.

Sora eyes widen in slight surprise, but manages to deflect the blow to the side. Before countering with a deadly slash to the spear wielding infected's gut.

The infected growled and stumbled backwards. It snarled and lunged at Sora again, slashing at him and not caring about the wound and the blood leaking out. "Aim for the head!" Ada called out to him as she took out another infected that had been running at Jake, making the thing's head explode.

Taking Ada's advice, Sora dodges the attack and jumps over the infected as Sora cuts it's head off. Landing in a crouch as the head rolls on the floor and the body drops.

Ada nodded at him as the body started to melt away. Donald and Goofy scooped up the gold and herbs. "Nice one Sora!" Donald said grinning at him and handed Jake the gold and herbs, letting him decide who got what.

"You're getting better," Ada said to the teen and smiled.

"Thanks guys!" Sora said with a sincere smile at the honest praise to his level of skill and growth. Jake hands a mixed herb of red and green to Lanna, "Regardless of what you think, Lanna, you need this after taking a blow from me with the light aura palm."

Lanna smiled lightly and took the mixture. "Yeah, I know," she said as she could remember the pain all too well. She sighed and rubbed the mixture into her stomach and up a little. The mixture started to soak into her skin easily, soothing any pain or the potential bruise that might form after the hit.

"I have to admit the Kevlar suits seem to be working for you ladies quite well so far. Though this light training you gave us, spikes, is quite powerful and dangerous." Jake says both amazed he could hurt Lanna while in a Kevlar suit using it and worried about such power getting into the wrong hands.

He'd have to be really careful before he decides to train anyone in this power and he hoped Lanna would too. Once they both master it that is...

Lanna nodded as she moved her shirt down again and rolled her shoulders, stretching a bit. "It is, but like any power you would have to be careful," she said. She wanted to learn more about it and train with it more. She looked at her hand concentrating as white light surrounded her hand. It was a little faster this time.

Sherry looked at this, amazed. "Oh wow..." she said and looked at Jake. She had seen the attack and she did admit that it didn't look like much from afar but from the way Lanna screamed it had to have hurt.

"Don't worry, I'll help you guys learn proper control and how to master it later. For now, try to learn what you can to make it last longer and activate faster. I would try to teach you magic, but I think you need more experience with Light Aura using first. That way you can stay focused and not burn through your magic too quickly." Sora explains to his friends reassuringly, but with a tone of warning in the end. He knew how much it sucks fighting while running low on magic. It's hard to regain and against Wesker they need all the advantages they can get.

"Sounds good, Spikes, let's just hope the machine is close by..." Jake says with a hopeful look in his eyes, but his face is that of a stern soldier ready for war. He knew Wesker and Maleficent wouldn't make it easy to get to the machine, not after going to the trouble to infect Lanna in the first place.

"Ada, where was it the last time?" Lanna asked the older woman, looking at her. Ada sighed a bit. "It was near the lift where Leon saved me and fought Saddler for the last time. It's in an underground lab. But I will tell you Lanna, it won't be fun getting it out. It will hurt like hell."

"I don't care," Lanna said looking determined. "I want it out. I want my body back. Wesker will find out the same way that Saddler did. Humans aren't tools to be moved around like chess pieces."

"I completely agree with you, Lanna. This is reminding me too much of what happened to Auron when Hades held his freewill prisoner. making him no better than a slave and follow orders...no matter how much he hated it." Sora said remembering what happened to the mysterious, but sincere guardian who always meant what he said. He was incredibly strong and not too bad a person, but when he was rescuing Auron's freewill trapped within the statue. He felt small flashes of the man's hard life...his past was full of struggles and idea of Hades trying to force Auron into doing his bidding against his will upset Sora. Making him glad he was able to free Auron of Hades control

Jake looked at Sora wondering who this Auron was, but had sympathy for the guy if he was controlled like that. It must of sucked being controlled by some god of the dead into his bidding and from Sora's tone he knew the kid was on good terms with this Auron. "Was he at least saved in the end?" Jake asks hoping that was the case, for both Sora's sake and for Auron's.

"Yeah, we got his freewill freed from Hades's statue and he helped us fight Hades. It was tricky at first given we were fighting in Hades underworld where he had home turf advantage, but we won in the end with Hercules lending us his help too." Sora assures Jake getting a small sigh of relief from the former mercenary. Though the idea Sora fought alongside Hercules caught his interest, but put it to the side for now. They had a machine to find and he could ask all about Sora fighting alongside Hercules later.

Lanna nodded. "Being a slave to anyone is horrible," she said and tilted her head. "Huh? Hades the god of death? Sheesh...he was my favorite bad guy from that movie. Mostly because he was one of those funny ones. What?" She saw the look she was getting from Donald and Goofy. "Hey! Give me a break. This was long before I knew you guys were even alive." She sweatdropped at the look she got.

Ada chuckled softly. "It's going to be different now...thinking of the Disney Characters as real and not something fictional."

"Well we can help you with that once we take you to see other worlds." Sora said cheerfully as Riku nodded in agreement to this.

"Just to be on the safe side, I think Kairi and I should come along as well. Partly for her training to understand other worlds and partly to make sure Sora doesn't get you all in too much trouble." Riku explains with a knowing look toward Sora who narrowed his eyes at Riku.

"Are you saying I'd cause problems? Cause I'm usually the one trying to help people OUT of trouble." Sora states not liking the look Riku was giving him or what he was implying. Riku rolled his eyes knowing Sora might react that way.

"True, but trouble finds you like a moth to flame, Sora. All your adventures is proof of this. Cause not five minutes after you enter a new world, something always happens or you get dragged into something." Riku replies making Sora close the protest he was about to say. Unable to deny that he has gotten into a lot of adventures when he gets on certain worlds.

"It would be nice," Sherry said thinking and smiled. "It would a good change of pace." Kairi grinned. "Yeah. It would be nice to be home again," she said. "The beaches are great and the swim is good." She looked at Sora and Riku. "We had some good memories there."

"Home does at times," Ada said as she didn't say much about her home. "We have some good areas to swim and camp and go fishing." Lanna grinned. "Camping is fun and away from electronics mostly."

"That'll be fun, maybe you can teach Spikes more about this world during our next camping trip." Jake says dropping a tip for some bonding time hint to his little sister. Coming to a door he checks his guns making sure they're fully loaded before turning to face them. "Alright everyone, make sure you're ready cause with the lack of enemies lately. We have to assume they are saving the main forces for near the machine or near the hostages. It's the only way to explain why we had it so easy before..."

"That would be fun," Lanna said smiling as they always had fun with their camping trips and nodded a bit. "Agreed. And if I remember correctly...this next room is going to be tight," she said. "We really need to be careful." Ada nodded as she and Lanna checked their weapons and ammo, making sure they were loaded up. "Goofy and Donald, think you can keep an eye on Sherry, Elly and Kairi?" Ada asked.

"Of course," Donald said seriously. Goofy nodded, gripping his shield as he was ready for battle. "We got your backs," he said.

"Then let's get to it," Jake said opening the doors and everyone slowly moved beyond the doors right behind him.

Behind the door was an opening of what used to be an overly large air vent. The propeller was long gone, only leaving broken wires and the busted chain link fence that was in front of it. The group entered the short walkway and in front of them was a circular room with two smaller doors and a large door that was half covered by a broken wall. Beyond it was the small command center where the controls for the crane were the center of the room was an active lava pit.

Lanna jumped down and helped Sherry down. The heat from the lava pit was intense, almost suffocating really. Kairi covered her nose as she could smell the sulfur. "Ugh..."

"Don't worry, Kairi, it's nothing compared to the time I fought Jafar when he was in some lava chamber. I hated chasing Iago for that stupid lamp after he turned himself into a genie." Sora said with an annoyed tone before taking a breath to calm himself, Iago wasn't like that anymore... "Thank goodness he turned over a new leaf and is getting along with Aladdin and the others now."

"I remember that movie," Sherry said as she stayed close to Goofy and Donald. "Return of Jafar," Lanna nodded as she remembered as well. She looked around and saw the doors. "Well...three doors," she said and went towards the one behind them when the one in front opened up as infected army men ran in and four more dropped in from the ceiling. "This is gonna get tight..."

"Pick a target and fire!" Jake orders pulling up his AK 47 and shooting at the infect army. Hoping to use the rapid fire for crowd control as he shot one after another with multiple bullets.

"I he-" Sora said before Riku cut him off with a restraining arm on his shoulder again.

"Sora, let's just take down any that get too close. We don't want to risk getting shot by accident or make it harder for them to shoot the enemy." Riku advises his friend as Sora nods in understanding reluctantly.

"Fine, I guess I can cover Lanna while you two cover Ada and Jake? I mean Sherry and Elly have Donald and Goofy covering them already." Sora suggests as he looks at Donald shooting three huge fireballs at three infects that tried to attack wife and child. Lighting them on fire as Goofy stood protectively in front of them ready to help Donald at a moments notice.

"Sounds like a plan, who do you want to backup, Kairi?" Riku asks as Sora makes his way toward Lanna.

Kairi looked at Riku. "You," she said as she summoned her keyblade as Lanna aimed and fired at an infected, looking at Sora and nodded, smiling a bit. More infected ran in, pointing at the group as two bike guy with spiked maces came into the room. Ada ducked and shot at the one in front of her.

"Keep an eye on your surroundings!" Ada said to the others as if they weren't careful someone could get hurt.

Riku couldn't help the sincere smile appearing despite the chaos going on around them as Kairi chooses to back him up. "Thanks, Kairi..." Riku tells her truly thankful before flicking his eyes to both Ada and Jake, Jake was clearly doing fine on his own and knew his light aura would increase his odds of survival. Ada however had no such training and while she may be fine, it would be wise to keep her safe as possible.

"Let's go back up Ada, Kairi." Riku says moving to Ada's location with Kairi following close behind. Sora meanwhile gave Lanna a brief smile before deflecting one infected's swipe with a machete and countering with a slash that cut the infected man in half.

"Got your back, Lanna!" Sora calls as both go back to back when Sora notices some coming up behind her and Lanna stays focused on the enemies on the front.

Kairi smiled at Riku and nodded at that. "Yeah," she said as she was worried about the older woman as she shot a fireball at an infected that had been sneaking into Ada's blind spot, killing him instantly. Ada looks behind with a glance to see Riku and Kairi standing next to her.

"Keep your guard up, Ada. You wouldn't want to get shown up now would you?" Riku challenges with a playful grin to show he means no harm, but wasn't gonna resist a good challenge.

Lanna smiled at Sora as she kept shooting at the infected in front of her. Charging the gun with light bullets as she took the heads off in front of her, unaware of the ones coming up behind her.

"Ars Arcanum!" Sora shouts rushing forward and becoming a blur of movement instantly decimating any and all infected coming behind Lanna. More further back tried to rush him like a mob in hopes of overwhelming him in numbers, but Sora's powerful and fast slashes proved too much for them.

Lanna turned around as she heard Sora shout and move quickly as he killed the infected, but more were surging forward. She ran forward and slammed one into the wall, taking the head off with her gun and kicked at another, sending it crashing into a man with spikes and fell into the lava pit. "Sora!" She said as she helped him.

Sora's limit break soon came to an end as he gave Lanna a thankful smile. "Thanks for the assist, Lanna. Just let me protect your back as you watch mine!" Sora says with a determined look on his face. He could see the infected were trying to hit the group from all sides. Ada, Riku, and Kairi making a triangle formation with their backs to each other as they all shot any infected that came in their sight.

Lanna smiled and nodded. "You're welcome," she said. "Hey, we help each other, remember?" She winked and looked at the others, frowning as she was worried about the others. "This is getting hard..." She yelped as she ducked an attack to her face and slammed her fist upwards, knocking the infected backwards as the hit connected. She moved backwards as she stayed near Sora as she breathed. "Sora, look out!"

Some of the infected rushed at Sora, knocking Lanna backwards into the door as they growled. Ada shot at the infected that neared them while Goofy protected Sherry as Donald sent out another fireball at an infected.

"Lanna! Where did yo-shit!" Sora tried calling for her before being forced to deflect a follow up strike from the infected who pushed him earlier. Being a big infected with a lance like Sora defeated before and not seeing Lanna around made Sora worry for her safety.

"I don't got time to mess with you infected monsters, get out of my way!" Sora shouts charging forward with Sonic Blade running through multiple nearby enemies, including the spear wielder three times before it finally died.

(Lanna's P.O.V.)

"Sora!" Lanna cried out, slamming her fists on the thick door but the only thing that could be heard was her shouts and the pounding of her fists. "Shit...futile..." Turning around, she looked at the long hallway that was illuminated with a red light. "Great...how the hell am I gonna get back to the others." Letting out a sigh, Lanna moved down the hallway, looking around. "I can't even hear the fighting from the others..." She was worried as the infected had been growing as Jake and the others killed them. "Please be safe..."

The hallway kept twisting and turning as she walked, looking around and frowned as she could hear something moving along the walkway, but wasn't sure what. Lanna's footsteps echoed off the dirty and decaying walls as she kept walking, looking for a way out. At the end of the hallway she noticed a door and felt hopeful as she made my way towards it and opened it up. "A lab," Lanna said, looking around the room seeing notes and papers along with a small screen. She moved closer and looked at the files, not seeing much info or use but stopped, her eyes widening. "Mom...?" She asked, picking up a file about my mother. Why would this be here? My eyes scanned over the words and felt the hope grow more in her heart. "She's alive..." Joy and relief filled her as she learned that her mother is alive! "If that's true than the Claire I killed earlier was a clone or something." This was good news indeed. She carefully folded the paper and put it into my pocket. "Now, to find the others," Lanna said and headed out.

Unaware to Lanna, a figure was watching her from the shadows dressed in an all black cloak and a hood to conceal the person's identity. The form only identifiable as male due to his body shape revealing skinny arms and a lean chest. The figure silently watched her move ahead before quietly following her. Making sure not to make any noise and stay in the shadows as much as possible tailing Lanna to her destination.

Lanna entered the hallway and started walking again when something slam into her, making her stumble forward and caught her balance, twisting on her heal quickly and grabbed her gun, hooting at the large infected with the metal face plate, knocking him backwards. "Ugh...great..." She growled in annoyance and started to run down the hallway, trying to put some distance between her and the monster. Jumping over a chair and turning around, she took another shot at the infected in it's knee. Lanna stopped and turned, shooting at the infected and ducked in time as a spear soared over her head. "Stupid..." She gasped as the infected raced at her with a tentacle growing out of it's back. "That's new!" Lanna yelped and grabbed a chair, blocking the tentacle as it kept slashing at her face and arms. "Shit..."

The figure continued watching Lanna as she was ambushed and started fighting a somewhat strong looking creature. 'Must be one of those B.O.W.s the old man wanted me to steal the files of. Not bad I guess, but a lot of heartless and nobody types are more dangerous than that creature.' The figure thought watching Lanna carefully avoid the tentacle lashing out at her.

'I wonder how this girl got Sora to be more accepting of his darkness, considering how he used to hate Anti Form. From what I heard the old man seems interested in her for doing so as it could be useful to his plans.' The figure thought as Lanna started channeling light magic around her body. Impressing the being as his eyes widen under his hood. 'Not bad kid... I wonder who taught a formerly powerless human to use light magic?'

The creature lunged at her again as another tentacle grew out from it's back. The speed had increased and Lanna blocked with her gun and slammed her fist into it's chest, pushing back. On the chest plate was four inch indent and smiled slightly at the damage that had been dealt. 'Thank you, Sora...' She thought and thrust the light out at the creature, sending it back farther before it tripped and sprawled out onto it's back. Lanna panted as she could feel the strain on her body from using the light. "Shit..." She muttered, knowing her energy level was low from changing and fighting. 'If I didn't finish this off soon I'd be in trouble' she thought.

The creature jumped back onto it's feet and ran at her again, the tentacles slashing at her repeatedly. She barely had time to blocked them and struggling as she could feel her legs start to buckle. "Nnng..."

'Hmm... the kid isn't bad, but clearly very new to this. I'm not sure she has what it takes to win this one and the old man wouldn't like it if I let her die like this. I'll have to ask what his plans are for her in detail and hope he tells me later. For now... I'll just have lend the newbie a hand if push comes to shove,' The figure thought quietly summoning his weapons to his hands. Two purple and gray arrow guns as he raises one up in the direction of the most. A soft pink glow forming an arrow made of crystalized energy as he readied to fire at a moments notice.

'Not going to let it end like this!' Lanna thought stubbornly as she struggled to push him back and somehow found the strength inside of her and started to push back. "Sorry...but I have a boyfriend and you're not...it!" she = snapped as she brought her leg up, kneeing him in the groin and was very surprised it worked. As the creature screamed in pain and stumbled backwards, holding the wounded area.

The figure couldn't help wincing in pain as he dismissed one of his arrow guns and grabbed his own crotch with his now free left hand. His right hand holding a steady aim at the creature just in case. 'Can't say I blame her...entirely...but that is just cheap.' The man thought almost feeling sympathy for the creature, but the feeling was squashed quickly.

Lanna ran forward and jumped up, bringing her leg back before launching it forward. The attack hit the creature in the face and landed, throwing punches as the monster staggered back with each hit. Before slashing at me with one of the tentacles. Ducking low, she kicked at it's knee, knocking it down before jumping back, panting and staggered a bit. "Ugh..." she wheezed. "Shit...blast Wesker and that damn witch..." Lanna could feel the plaga squirming inside of her chest and felt the metallic taste of blood filling her mouth and spat it out, panting and barely had time to dodge a slash.

'What will you do now little girl? Will you turn the tables or will I have to shoot?' The figure thought watching carefully as he made sure to stay in the shadows.

Lanna ducked again and caught the tentacles in her hands, gritted her teeth in irritation as she could feel herself loosing strength once again. 'No...no no!' she thought, struggling harder.

It was at this moment the figure decided he's seen enough and fires the pink crystal arrow toward the creature. Straight through the head and piercing the wall behind Lanna, barely missing her head by inches.

Lanna yelped, seeing the crystal arrow fly past her head and pushed the dead body off her. It hit the floor and melted away, leaving a box of ammo. Snatching it up and putting it away, she looked up and around, not seeing anything yet. "Who's there?" Lanna called out as her eyes narrowed, thinking she saw something.

The figure walked forward with a relaxed stance to avoid looking hostile, but kept his guard up same as she did. Watching her carefully under his hood as he tilted his head. "You wasn't too bad for a rookie, but I think you'll need more training if you want to be of any help to Sora."

"How do you know Sora?" Lanna asked slowly, looking over the hooded figure. "Who are you?" She wasn't sure who the person was as she couldn't see the face but it knew it was a male by the figure and voice.

"You could say we've met in the past and someone wishes for Sora to grow stronger. Hence why I saved you, but as for my name...Well, I see no reason to tell you that, but you can call me #2 if you like." The man said keeping details as few as possible, but keeping an eye on her all the while. Just as he knew she was watching his every move, especially his arrow gun.

Lanna raised a brow at that. "Saved me because you want Sora to get stronger? Tsk...very weird," she said and nodded. "Fine. I'm Lanna." She eyed him warily. "Well...#2...you did save my life, so thank you." She sighed. "How did you get here?" Lanna looked at the arrow gun, amazed by it. "I haven't seen a weapon like that before."

"How I got here is my business, but let's say I'm an errand boy of sorts. A certain witch has caused some problems and I am here on my boss's behalf." The man said deciding to keep the details vague, but bear enough truth to avoid making her on edge. "The boss wasn't so happy when the witch pulled this stunt and wanted to be sure Sora could handle it. Wouldn't do if the hero was to die so soon now would it?"

"Hm, no. I'd like to keep him around longer," Lanna said slowly and nodded, before frowning at the mention of the witch. "Tsk...we wouldn't be in this damn mess if it wasn't for her." She checked her ammo and grunted, holding my chest in pain. "Damn..." I looked at the man. "Well we share the same enemy then. I'm not sure what your connection to her is, but she isn't someone to tangle with."

"Hah! As if I'd be crazy enough to blow my cover, after going to the trouble to sneak in without that witch noticing me. Hate to break it to you, but I am here to assist from the shadows." #2 informs Lanna as he gestures down the path. "I suggest you keep going though, I can tell Sora and his little group aren't behind that door anymore, most likely looking for you."

Lanna nodded. "Probably," she said, sighing a bit and looked down the hallway. "Yeah...I have to find them." She felt worried as she knew Jake and Sora, they would be on a warpath till they found her. She could feel the data paper pressing against her pocket and the info she had found out about her mother. If she was alive and well than... "Matthew...my mom is ready to give birth and...dammit!" The baby would be in trouble. "Before I can find them, I have to find my parents."

#2 remembered a bit of data mentioning the location of her parents and the current unresolved decision on what to do with the child. As well as the doctor in charge of the baby's birth. He didn't bother taking it, but he did remember it as he was looking through the files. Shrugging, he decided to tell her this bit of info to test her and see if she could handle a trial by fire.

"Your parents names wouldn't happen to be Claire and Leon Kennedy would they?" #2 asks watching as the girl stiffened and smirked under his hood. He had her attention hook, line, and sinker now. "I see, so they are your parents."

Lanna looked at him. "Yes, how do you know that?" she asked, trying to keep the desperation from her tone but she needed information about her family. Who knew what that witch would do with her baby brother. "Do you know where they are?" She wasn't sure if #2 would be willing to lead her there or if he would give her directions. Hell, she wasn't sure if he would even give me more information about them. Lanna didn't know who he was besides a number for a name and that he has a boss.

"Yes, I do and I'll tell you what I know, but only if you let me tag along while following my rules. My rules are simple, I will hang around until Sora and his friends find you, then I go to my own mission again. Until then, I rather not be seen by Maleficent, so when entering any new rooms. You must destroy all cameras before I come in and I'll help you fight off any threat that comes your way. Can you agree to these terms for my information?" #2 explains with his free hand offered to shake her own.

"Sounds simple enough," Lanna said and took his hand. "Deal." Sh knew it was rash, but she needed information and #2 was the closet to getting it and hoped she wasn't signing her soul to the devil. "Just a quick question, your not working for the devil are ya? And not gonna ask for my soul?" There was a light joking tone in my voice.

"Heh..Ahahahahahaha!" #2 couldn't help but laugh at the wit this kid had, he would admit he was starting to like her already. Shame she wasn't part of the Organization. He could use a cute little student to teach his ways to like Axel did, good times... "Nah, I'm no devil and I don't need your soul," #2 answered shaking her hand with a firm, but light grip. Making sure to show he was serious, but not gonna be a hard ass or anything.

"Now a deal is a deal, so here's what I know. Your parents are due to be moved to an arena Maleficent is making for her showdown. One I guess she's planning for Sora no doubt, but it also hints she has help too. What she has I don't know, but I know she has two scientists working for her making B.O.W.s for her. One of them is even in charge of giving birth to your baby brother, Matthew as you called him. This doctor is known as Luis and the other scientist is known as Alex Wesker." #2 starts off his explanation with some basic facts to judge her reaction to the minor things.

Lanna smiled a bit, nodding at his explanation and his laughter. "Good. That's one less worry I have then," she said, feeling a bit relieved by that and was a bit surprised by his grip. "An arena? Again? That witch has a thing for them," she murmured, thinking and frowned as she heard about the two scientists. Lanna's eyes widen in surprise once as she heard the names. "I can't believe it...she brought them back?" She groaned softly. "I know of them...Luis Sera, he's a brilliant scientist that used to work for a nut job named Osmond Saddler before I was born. He died helping to save my dad. As for Alex Wesker, she's the sister to Albert Wesker. My mom fought her. If they are working on the B.O.W's than we're in trouble."

"Indeed, they're wearing some sort of collars on their necks from what I saw and I don't think it's meant to keep them alive. Also this Luis guy seemed very reluctant to do the work he was told, like someone told to swallow poison. Another piece of info is one Chris and Jill Redfield, they are held not too far from the machine under some guy's watch named Simmons. Apparently waiting to catch Ada when she comes to hack into the cages in hopes of freeing them. He's got heartless waiting with him too for keeping you guys busy." #2 explains some the rest of what he knew from his brief run through their computers.

"Luis never wanted to use his knowledge for this. He wanted to help people" Lanna said, thinking about what the collar's could be used for. "Hm...Chris and Jill? My aunt and uncle, we were on our way to them before I got separated." She frowned more and sighed a bit. "Simmons is obsessed with Ada. He's been like that ever since she dumped him years ago." She sighed and shook her head, mulling over the information that #2 told her. "This has gotten more complicated than I thought," she swallowed. "I have to get to that machine before my time is up. I have that Plaga's virus inside of me. The same one that is possessing those infected villagers and army men."

"Well, then we best get a move on. You take the lead as I need you to be on camera watch after all. I'll watch you from the shadows." The man said walking into a darker part of the hallway that made it hard for Lanna to see him. Only his footsteps and slight signs of movement in the darkness gave him away, barely.

"Right," Lanna said and started walking down the hallway. The hallway led to another part of the room that she didn't remember her dad mentioning or maybe it was because he didn't know it existed. It was another lab with more banks of computers and developing B.O.W.'s. Lanna stopped and looked around before spotting the video cameras, taking them out easily before moving into the room more. "How many freaking labs do the ass hats need..." she muttered and looked at the computer screens, typing into it and brought up video feeds from the rest of the rooms. Lanna saw the room that she had been in with the others before, but didn't see them.

"Can you disable the cameras from here?" #2 asks from five feet behind Lanna, slightly surprising the young woman at his stealth, but relaxed as she saw him looking through the research material. "In case you're wondering, I'm curious what they are planning, you never know what you'll find unless you look for yourself."

"Yeah, makes sense," Lanna said as she disabled the cameras for the room and looked at him. "Looks like they're working on some back up B.O.W.'s...not even at fifty percent..." She bit her lower lip, thinking. "And they probably have the tubes rigged to alert them if they start to decline." She looked at the tubes. "Well mystery man, any guesses as to what they want besides world domination, revenge on Sora, and my family." Lanna kept looking through the feeds, frowning a bit as she saw Ganados walking down the hallway that was close to the room. "We may have company soon."

"Pssh, please. That's not company, it's not even a warm up. So you have nothing to worry about, I'll even take them all out for you, if you keep those cameras off. As for your question...I'd have an idea if I knew who Maleficent's partner was as I founds hints, but no confirmation. My boss and I know that witch, she wouldn't come here without a purpose in mind and her talking so highly about a mysterious partner draws concern." #2 explains as he summons a second arrow gun into his free hand. Dual wielding them as he walks toward the door, ready to kick it open and take care of the trash.

Lanna frowned. "Than why bring Wesker back to life..." she murmured, feeling a bit confused as the whole mission had more questions than answers now. Was there someone else in the mix that Maleficent worked with? There was more to this than any of them thought. "Puzzle isn't even complete...too many missing pieces..." Lanna looked at him and nodded. "Alright, I'll get the camera's down."

Two infected walked the halls, holding shields and chained balls with spikes. They passed the door but turned around again, opening the door slowly.

#2 had his eyebrow raised in question under his hood at the name Wesker, but drops it for now. Focusing on the enemies opening the door as he points his arrow guns now pointing at them. Pink energy arrows loaded and ready to fire as he grins maliciously under his hood.

"Wrong door boys!" He shouts as he opens fire on them and, much to Lanna's shock, easily tears right through their shields like tissue paper. Making the infected give weak shrieks of agony. Their bodies being filled with holes that Lanna could see right through as they fell over dead. Giving the guns a twirl, #2 looks at Lanna as he dismisses his guns and gives her a thumbs up.

"Told ya I could handle it, now let's get moving, shall we?" #2 states gesturing to the open door.

Lanna looked at him in shock at how powerful his weapon is and how fast he made work of the infected. "Holy molly dude...that was incredible," she said amazed. "Remind me not to piss you off." Lanna smirked and nodded. "Yeah. Not as much info here but...hold on." Hitting a few buttons on the keyboard and smirked as her fingers danced over the keys. Hitting buttons easily as words and numbers appeared on the screen, glowing bright green. "I think Wesker and the witch have enough weapons in their arsenal." She knew couldn't deactivated them for good, but she could make changes in their developing time. The clicks and clacks of the board was heard for a little longer, but she soon hit enter and the tubes glowed lightly as the new orders started to work. "Now we can go."

"Sounds good to me, Lanna, lead the way and I'll cover you. Just remember the cameras, I don't want to risk the witch catching on after all. Reload!" #2 says ready to go as Lanna sees the spikes on his guns earlier had disappeared when firing one by one, but now all of them flash back in place like they were never gone.

'Guess those are his bullets...' Lanna thinks to herself curious about his weapon, but leads the way not saying anything about it.

Lanna head down the hallway, looking around as she remembered the bullets and the gun. She wondered how he got that type of weapon. "You're pretty good with that," she said to #2, admiring at how good of a shot he was. "Did it take long to get that good?" The hallway was getting dirtier by the second as they walked, seeing ripped paper swirling around their feet as their footfalls echoed throughout the room.

"Simple shooting came easy, but the really advanced tricks I learned took a while." #2 admits not seeing the harm in admitting that much, eyeing the dark hallway with caution. While not many things could threaten him here, there were a few players that could give him trouble. One certain keyboy who killed him before on the top of his mind...

"You once spoke of a Wesker? Is it the same one who's researching B.O.W.s or another one?" #2 asks feeling like she meant someone else and he rather know all the players involved.

Lanna nodded as she listened to him. "Hm. that's pretty cool," she said honestly, unaware of his connection to Sora as she saw a ledge coming up in front of them. The ladder was in pieces. Frowning, Lanna took a few steps back before running and jumped onto a pipe easily and climbed up onto the ledge. "As for your question, there are two Wesker's, Alex and Albert, siblings." She looked at him. "He's worse than the witch." She didn't know much about the Wesker project but she knew enough. Her eyes narrowed in concentration.

"Worse than the witch? No offense kid, but being someone who hasn't seen him, but knows that witch. That's saying a lot and I hope you don't mind explaining a bit." #2 asks with curiosity in his tone as he easily jumps off a wall and makes it up to Lanna's position.

Lanna smiled. "Like any other mad man or woman, Wesker wants to control the world. Eliminating the weak so only the strong survive. He wants to become a god," she said as she opened the door only to find another hallway. "I better start with the real beginning." She told him about what she knew of the project, the man who started the project, Spencer, and how Wesker became to be and ended with the events they were in now.

She looked at him. "That is Albert Wesker and now that the witch is teaching him how to use Darkness and succeeding...he's worse than before."

#2 nodded as he digested all the information, Xehanort might be very interested in this guy...if he survives. Who knows? One can never have too many pawns and while he is smart, his arrogance makes him easy to play. "Sounds like this guy is a real piece of work alright," #2 began walking not too far behind Lanna to assure he's there, even though he remains out of sight. "Though if Maleficent taught him and possibly others darkness, who taught you light? Was it Sora's doing?"

Lanna nodded, sighing a bit. "Yeah, he did," she said and smile a bit. "I wouldn't be here if it weren't for him or for Jake. Sora saw that were running low on bullets and he taught us." She frowned and stopped, wondering how much she should be telling him. She headed down the hallway and stopped, seeing camera's and held her hand up behind her back, stopping him from going into the hallway. She shot the camera's easily and before continuing.

"How much farther till we get there?" she asked, looking back at him.

"Shouldn't be much farther... Maybe about twenty feet, max." #2 replied before hearing a door slam open and hearing voices getting closer to their destination.

"Dang it! Where did Lanna disappear too in this place?!"

"I know how you feel, Spikes, but have faith. We trained her after all."

"Well, that sounds like company who is friends of yours. So this is where we part ways for now, see you later!" #2 said from the darkness before everything around Lanna got completely quiet. Except for Sora and the group heading for Lanna's destination.

Lanna blinked as she stared at the place where #2 once stood and looked towards the sounds of her friends. "Sora..." she said and started towards their position. "Guys!" she called out to them.

Everyone hearing Lanna's voice stopped as Sora's head turned to face the direction the voice came from instantly. hearing rapid footfalls, Sora was beyond relieved and happy to see Lanna safe.

"Lanna!" Sora and the others shouted with relief and some with open joy. The ones not showing open joy, like Jake and Ada, just kept it inside their hearts. Staying professional and on guard, but truly grateful to see Lanna unharmed.

Lanna didn't care about being professional at the moment as she ran to them and hugged them tightly, relieved to see them. "Thank god...you're safe," she said, looking at them, smiling.

Sora wrapped his arms around her like a lifeline completely relieved she is safe as Jake held her too. Though Jake only hugged her gently compared to Sora's affectionate and tight embrace. Not too tight for her, but tight enough to show how worried he was and relieved he feels to have her in his arms again.

"I'm so glad you're alright, Lanna. I was so worried when you disappeared like that." Sora says sighing in relief as he feels Lanna hugging him tighter too.

"What happened to you anyways, little red?" Jake asks wondering what happened to her while they were separated.

Lanna hugged Jake and Sherry, relieved to see them as she felt Sora's warm embrace around her. She hugged him back tightly, leaning into him. She looked up at him. "I'm sorry..." she said softly as she didn't plan on disappearing as she leaned into him, taking in his scent as she relaxed.

She looked at Jake and gently unwrapped herself from Sora. "I was pushed through a door by an infected and the door closed behind me. I couldn't get it open and started walking," she said. "I stumbled onto a lab..." She stopped and pulled out some paper from her back pocket, seeing the looks on her friends face's as she took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"Jake...Sherry...everyone...my mother is alive."

"WHAT?!" Everyone shouted in surprise as Jake took a look at her papers. At first he couldn't help smiling seeing her health records show she was alive and well after all, but his face soon started paling as he read that the baby was due...today...in a few hours at most.

"Sherry...you need to see this." Jake says passing the paper to his wife with a worried look in his eyes.

Sherry ran her eyes over the papers and gasped, her face growing pale. "No...the baby...is due today..." she said weakly. Kairi looked at them. "What? Seriously?" she asked.

Lanna swallowed and nodded slowly. "Yes...my baby brother...is gonna be born here...and...most likely used as an experiment or soldier.."

"WHAT?!" Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy all shout in horror while Ada grew pale at the implications of the child's fate.

"We got to find Claire and Leon before the baby is born!" Sora said horrified and angered Maleficent would go that far. Riku agreeing wholeheartedly, while internally cursing Maleficent's name for daring to go so far as to threaten a newborn child.

"That's not all..." Lanna said, trying to calm her breathing and looked at them. "Luis Sera and Alex Wesker are alive but there is someone bigger, behind this madness, behind Maleficent..." She looked at them, biting her lower lip.

"What? Someone is pulling the strings besides Maleficent? How did you find out?" Kairi asked the older girl, confused, worried and fearful. Lanna looked to Sora, debating. "..."

"What's wrong, Lanna?" Sora asks seeing her internally worried about something. "You can tell me anything, alright? What did you find out?"

"When I was separated, I was attacked after leaving the lab by a ganado," Lanna said slowly but continued, seeing the fear in his eyes. "I was saved though. He said he knew you, Sora, and was talking about a boss. He wore a cloak that covered his face and had a gun that shot crystal bullets or something. He said his name was #2."

Donald and Goofy shared a look. "Lanna...are you sure? Are you positive?" Donald asked frowning. "Absolutely positive?" Lanna nodded, looking serious. "Yes. I'm sure. I know what I saw."

"A gun that shoots crystal bullets..." Sora said frowning in thought as he racked his brain for any Organization XIII member that used such a weapon. Before widening his eyes as a memory came back to him.

"Xigbar! B-But how?! I know for a fact I killed him when I stormed Organization XIII's castle!" Sora shouts as he tries to rack his brain how another of his enemies that he killed was alive.

"If I remember correctly, wasn't he the guy you fought while Kairi and I were fighting the heartless." Riku asks remembering someone Sora fought using such weapons that day too.

"Yeah, but what's weird is that he only tried to kill me after killing a bunch of heartless trying to attack me. Saying some weird stuff when we talked at times too, I never got a good read on that guy..." Sora confirms before explaining some things he knew about the man. Out of all his enemies, Xigbar was a very weird one with the way their conversations went.

"This is getting weird..." Ada said thinking as she processed the information and looked at Sora and at Lanna. "But...why did he help you?"

Lanna looked confused. "I...don't know," she said honestly, rubbing the back of her head. "From what Sora told us...#2 or Xigbar, right, he's gonna be one of those people that will help you for his own gain. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have found you guys and he really didn't want the witch to know he was here."

"Makes sense, Organization XIII would sometimes clash with Maleficent for their own agendas. But if Xigbar is back..." Sora murmurs before trailing off as he grew worried.

"Then that means the others might be as well..." Riku finished understanding Sora's worry, if everyone except Roxas from Organization XIII was back, that could mean huge trouble for the worlds. "Shit, how could he or any of them still be alive? I know we killed them when they fought us to the death."

"I don't know, Riku... None of this makes any sense!" Sora said holding his head as he felt a headache coming on. Why couldn't their enemies just stay dead when they kill them?! Sure...not all were bad, like Roxas and maybe Axel, but the others he didn't like too much. Jake was silently digesting all of this information before Looking at Lanna. Putting his hands on her shoulders gently to ease her.

"Lanna, I need you to tell me what you remember about the guy and how he behaved around you. Was there anything that gives off his intentions or anything specific he might be looking for?" Jake asks hoping Lanna knew something about this mysterious third player now operating behind the scenes.

Lanna looked at Jake. "He's charismatic for one, almost...friendly, really and aloof but smart. He mentioned a boss but he didn't say. He was looking for information about Sora and obviously about what is going on here. He's fast." She frowned trying to remember more. "He asked me to take out the video cameras so Maleficent wouldn't see him and that they had met sometime during the past."

"Sounds like Xemnas might still be alive then, that's the leader of Organization XIII." Sora groaned with a hand over his face at the thought of fighting him again.

"If he's still alive and giving orders, the others could very well be alive too. Things are getting complicated fast and we need to inform King Mickey of this first chance we get." Riku says determined to protect the world from Organization XIII's schemes, whatever they may be.

"Lanna, Jake, Sherry, Ada, listen to me." Sora said making them look at him to see he was concerned, but deadly serious. "If you run into him in the future, be careful and don't start any fights if you can avoid it. He's really strong and almost managed to kill me back when I stormed their base trying to save Kairi. I don't know what he wants, but we have to be ready for anything and keep in mind this guy can say some weird stuff to psych you out."

The girls nodded, looking grim. "Alright," Sherry said as she looked at the teen. "Thanks for letting us know." She looked at Jake, worried about what this could mean for them. Ada sighed. "More trouble..." she said, shaking her head. "We're magnets for it." Donald gave a tiny smile. "It's what we do, but Riku is right. We have to get in contact with King Mickey. He needs to be aware."

"But our only way to contact him went up in smoke," Goofy said, biting his lower lip. "How will we reach him?" Kairi looked worried about that.

"We'll cross that bridge after we rescue the Kennedy and Redfield parents first. As well as cure Lanna of the plaga as soon as possible." Sora states making everyone nod in agreement with how he feels.

"Care to lead the way, Ada? We're pressed for time and I rather you guide us." Jake asks the spy knowing while Lanna knows the route too, he wants to keep her in his sight after that scare they had. Sora and himself had slaughtered every B.O.W. stupid enough to come in their path when they were looking for her. Which was good for Ada and Sherry as they never used their guns and Jake got some training in on his light aura.

"Yeah," Ada said nodding as she had seen the two kill all the infected in the room without mercy, not that she didn't blame them. Lanna was special to them both in different ways. She started walking back the way they had came and pushed open some large doors, entering the room where another large door on the left was and a small door on the right. "The merchant is on the right and behind the double doors is the truck to bring us closer to the family."

Lanna followed after them, staying close to Jake and Sora. She felt dizzy from being sick and from all the information running through her head and sighed a bit. Nothing made sense to her anymore, but she was relieved that her mother and brother were alive, though her brother's life was at stake now. She felt sick with worry and fear that she would lose them all over again. 'No. Calm down Lanna. Breath. You will find them in time' she thought.

"Let's hope the Merchant has more Kevlar for us, but I suggest we get some first aid sprays too." Jake says walking up to the Merchant who waves to them happy to see his customers again.

"Welcome strangers! I'm sorry for the delay, but I have more Kevlar suits now for you all." The Merchant said as Jake put down the money he needed to pay for it and the Merchant happily gave him the Kevlar suits. "Anything else, Stranger? I got lots of guns to look at or maybe you need some upgrades?"

"I'll take ten more first aid sprays and I'll upgrade my Elephant Killer's reload speed and rate of fire." Jake says putting the money he needs for his requests in the Merchants hand. The Merchant eagerly pocketing the money to be earned and gave him the case of first aid sprays before getting to work on Jake's Elephant Killer. Seeing the Merchant at work, Jake waves Lanna over to give her the first aid sprays.

Lanna walked towards him. "Thanks," she said as she took the sprays. "What did I miss while I was gone?" She checked her guns, making sure they were all loaded and ready as she looked at him.

Kairi sat down on a box, sighing a bit as she stretched a bit as the others were going over the maps. She closed her eyes as Donald and Goofy stayed close to her.

Riku watched Kairi silently as he stood next to her, flashing her a small smile to comfort her as they waited for Jake to be done. Jake himself just gave Lanna a small smile of his own. "Just loading up my Elephant Killer and making it faster on reload time and rate of fire. I think we should all get our guns upgraded, but what you and Ada decide is your choice."

Kairi smiled at Riku lightly as she did felt comforted by this. She sighed a bit. "Feels like we're almost at the end of the mission," she said to him. Lanna smiled lightly. "I will," she said. "Heh...think I'll have enough experience to graduate early?" she asked jokingly as she pulled out her guns to get upgraded next.

"Lanna, if I had my way, you'd would already be a graduate for lasting this long against the enemies we are facing." Jake told her honestly and completely serious, hell he wouldn't mind teaming up with her as a professional mercenary missions. If not for the facts he not only thinks BSAA suits her better, but also because he knew Claire would kill him for getting her baby in mercenary work.

Riku thought for a few moments before nodding in agreement toward Kairi's thoughts. "Yeah, it does feel like we are nearing the end of this mission. Though what comes after that, I'm just glad we might have shelter with the Redfield and Kennedy families as I rather not risk asking around blindly." Riku says looking toward his comrades with a sincere smile on his face.

Lanna smiled lightly as her weapons got upgraded. "Thanks Jake...that means a lot to me," she said and sighed. "It only seems like yesterday that I joined the training program." She smiled lightly as she remembered that day all to well.

Kairi smiled and nodded as she heard that. "Yeah...it would be good to rest finally after this," she said. "This world is crazy but...it's not too bad..." She did have to admit they made some new friends and had learned a lot from this world. "I still feel off about Lanna." She admitted.

"No one's perfect, Kairi, and I can tell despite this world being dark. She came out okay compared to most probably do. I mean the stuff here...I used to think only existed in nightmares or some horror story." Riku says looking at Lanna and Jake chat a bit with a knowing look. He could tell both of them had darkness in their hearts they could access, but thankfully they had more light than dark. Jake though could be a user of both with enough training.

Kairi nodded as she saw Jake and Lanna laugh as they talked more. Sherry watched them and smiled, glad to have her family alive. "I know," she said and sighed a bit. She knew no one was perfect and she still didn't get along her, but she could see why Sora got along with her.

"Ada! Want your guns upgraded?! We best do this now while we have a chance!" Jake calls over once his guns got done upgrading for additional firepower and ammo for his samurai edge, the rate of fire and reload speed for his Elephant Killer, and additional ammo + firepower for his AK-47.

"Yeah," Ada said as she walked towards the two and added her own weapons to the list of getting upgrades. "Lanna, you may want to check on Sora. He's was pretty worried when you disappeared." Lanna raised a brow but said nothing as she knew Ada wanted to talk to Jake about something as she headed to join Sora.

Jake watched Lanna walk off and turned his attention to Ada wondering what she had to say in private. "Okay, Ada, what's up?" Jake asks bluntly not seeing any point in beating around the bush.

"I am concerned," Ada said. "This #2...if what Sora says is true about him, than his boss's plans may involve Lanna as well, not just the B.O.W's and Sora." She was going slow with speaking as she was still trying to get the facts straight inside of her head. "And the fact there is someone else behind the Witch. Sora said she was killed so...who brought her back?"

"Good question, but I think if Sora knew, he would of told us like these Organization XIII guys." Jake says knowing Sora wasn't lying to them, he got a good look at the kid's eyes and knew he wore his heart on his sleeve. Sora was being completely truthful with them the whole time, if a bit naive at first, and could safely say he trusts Sora.

"I trust him," Ada said as she felt the same way as Jake did but it bothered her greatly as they didn't know the whole playlist of characters now and she didn't like being in the dark when info is vital. She frowned heavily and looked at the teens, watching them talk and laugh. "Kairi, Riku, Sora, Lanna and Elly...they are too young for this..."

For once she was showing something other than a teasing business tone. She was showing a weaker side of her. "I'm foolish for feeling this way. They should be in school, doing normal kids stuff and not being forced to live this hell." But she can't say that really as she knew Lanna signed up for this...they all did in a way.

"I'm afraid we don't get a say in this anymore and even if we did...I wouldn't change my path. If only to protect Sherry using the skills I have. Sadly though...I feel Lanna would say the same, Elly might have a chance, but who knows for sure." Jake says adding his own two cents in on this subject as he watches the younger members interact. He wishes they could be kept safe from this nightmare, but he knew from growing up the way he did...their paths were mostly set in stone now. Sora and Riku were warriors down to the bone, Kairi was quickly making her way down their path and Lanna right behind them. Only Elly had a chance of avoiding it and he had no way of knowing if she would. Heck, he wonders if Matthew might end up going down that path as well due to his blood.

Jake knew all about it after all…

"I know..." Ada said and sighed. Lanna and Sherry looked at the two and gave a nod. Even if they were allowed to change their jobs they wouldn't. It was something they wanted to do, to protect their home, friends and family. They knew the dangers of what could happen but they stayed.

"How are you two holding up?" Goofy asked Riku and Kairi, looking concerned about the teens. Donald was busy checking on Sherry and Elly.

"We're fine, though I admit I have been starving from a whole day of evading being captured. Did they feed you at least, Kairi?" Riku explain to Goofy before asking Kairi how she is, concerned for her after being held prisoner longer than him.

Kairi shook her head. "No. They only gave me water," she said, her stomach growling as she was hungry. Goofy looked concerned at that and nodded. "Hopefully we'll find some food," he said, sighing. Lanna heard this and headed to Riku and Kairi. "I thought I heard growling stomachs." She smiled slightly and pulled out the last energy bars she had. "Here. I know it's not much, but you two need it if you want to keep your strength up and don't argue Riku." She smirked at her friend.

Riku accepts the energy bars with a small smirk chuckling. "Am I that easy to read, Lanna?"

Kairi took the bar gratefully and murmured a thank you. Lanna chuckled and shook her head. "Honestly? No, but you remind me of a certain hard head that puts others before himself," she said and smiled. "Hard headed and stubborn, but with good hearts." She smiled as she was honest.

"You better be talking about Sora!"

"Hey!"

Riku couldn't help snickering at Sora and Jake, before grinning at Lanna. "I don't know both of you guys are quite hardheaded!"

"SCREW YOU RIKU!" Both Jake and Sora shout at the same time, making Riku smirk back at them knowing it would rile up at least Sora a little. Jake however was also slightly irked at the smirk, not that he showed it. Secretly plotting revenge on the little smart ass.

Lanna laughed and shook her head. "I told you they were hardheaded," she said, grinning along with Riku as she looked at Sora and Jake innocently. Sherry and Kairi chuckled at the look. "This is gonna be fun," Sherry whispered, knowing Jake would get his revenge one way or another.

"That you did, Lanna, that you did..." Riku agrees as he sees Ada collect her guns. "Is everyone ready now?"

Lanna nodded as did Kairi. "Yeah we're ready," Donald and Goofy nodded. "Yeah," Sherry stood up. "Same here," she said as she shifted Elly in her arms a bit. "Are we really going on the bulldozer?" she asked.

"Don't worry, Super girl, I'll be driving." Jake states with a smirk as Sora pouts at that with Riku's hand over his mouth. Not wanting Sora to drive any machines given his track record with the gummiship.

Sherry nodded, smiling in relief. "Good," she said as Ada and Lanna headed to the doors and pulled the levers down at the same time. There was a loud beep and the doors opened to reveal the back of the bulldozer waiting for them. "I wonder if we'll see the one that Ashley destroyed," Lanna said as she tried not to chuckle at the look on Sora's face. Ada shook her head. "I doubt it. It would be long gone by now," she said as Donald and Goofy cracked open the boxes and picked up the ammo they found and handed it to the others.

Jake gets in the driver seat and powers up the machine. "Get on everyone, we're going for a ride!"

The others climbed into the back. "We should be careful as we will be going into the opening soon and there may be infected waiting for us" Ada said.

Lanna nodded as she bit her lower lip. "Yeah...there was when dad went through here," she said. Donald nodded. "We will help," he said as Goofy grinned. "Yeah, we can take them on," he agreed supporting Donald.

"Just let Lanna and Ada do most of the shooting while I drive, Sherry you back them up if you see a shot. Sora, Goofy, Riku, Kairi. You four take down any that jump on and Donald, I need you for magic support. Can you all handle it?" Jake requests his friends before Sora and Riku both nod in determination.

"You can count on us, Jake!" Sora cheered eager to help with a fist pump.

"We can handle these lightweights." Riku says with a grin eager to help out as well.

Lanna grinned. "Sounds like fun," she said as Ada nodded, smirking. "This will be good practice," she said. "Don't want to get rusty." Sherry shook her head. "No chance of that!" she said. Kairi nodded. "Yeah, not much of a choice either," she said. Donald and Goofy were ready as the truck started to rise upwards. "And here we go," Lanna said as the platform under the truck clicked and clacked as it climbed the walls before stopping. The gate in front of them was stuck. "Your gonna have to knock it down," Sherry said to her husband.

"Babe, you don't even have to ask." Jake said smirking darkly as he floored it and bulldozed right through it. Making Sora cheer and laugh at seeing Jake run it down. The infected soon started coming in to stop them. "It's party time people! Look alive!" Jake calls as Lanna, Ada, and Sherry started shooting. While Donald starts raining Thunder, Fire, and Blizzard magic on any infected in range.

(Scene Change: Leon, Claire, and Pete 3rd P.O.V.)

Leon watched with a smirk and a hopeful look in his eyes as Jake was driving a giant bulldozer to their next destination. Thanks to many cameras watching the group, they knew what they had been up to. So seeing Lanna with them again was a relief to both parents after she mysteriously disappeared during the fighting earlier.

"They're getting closer, dear, just hang in there a little longer." Leon says to his wife encouragingly hoping to ease her mind and hopefully make things easier on the baby.

Claire smiled lightly as she saw their daughter with the others again and nodded. "Yes," she said ab she tried relaxing and gave a whimper as she felt another contraction hit, it was worse than the last. "Ah..." She groaned as she held her stomach. "Leon...ah..." She remembered the breathing techniques for when contractions hit. "Ah...god..." she said as she sat down. "Leon...the baby isn't gonna wait..." She cried out, startling Pete as she held her stomach.

"Oh no...Hang in there, Claire...just breathe..." Leon says trying to assure his wife, before noticing out of the corner of his eye Pete summoning a Shadow heartless with a snap of his fingers. The heartless tilts it's head at Pete curious of why he wanted it's presence here.

Claire panted and nodded as she breathed, her face twisted in pain a bit as another contraction hit, screaming again. 'Ah...!" she moaned. "LEON!" Her water broke, soaking her pants. "Ah...!" Pete told the heartless to alert Maleficent that the water broke. Claire panted and glared at Pete.

The heartless receiving the order leaves in a hurry through a dark corridor, much to Leon's dread as he knew what was coming. "God help us..."

(Scene Change: Maleficent and Wesker 3rd P.O.V.)

"It seems you've made astounding progress Wesker, even by my standards." Maleficent complements Wesker's new level of strength and skill in darkness genuinely surprised, but glad to see.

Wesker nodded as he was sweating a little from the training and wiped his brow with a towel. "Thank you," he said as he stood up and dismissed his weapon. "You are a favorable teacher." He had to admit she was a hard one as well with the intense training she had given him.

"Concerning what's at stake for our plans, I couldn't afford to pull punches. But this only shows how determined and skilled you are in darkness." Maleficent explains knowing while harsh, they couldn't afford to slack off when a Shadow came to Maleficent and she turns to the creature sensing it's presence. She soon nods in head in understanding and dismisses the creature. "It appears Mrs. Kennedy's water finally broke, I'll have to alert Luis to prepare immediately."

Wesker nodded. "Yes," he said, watching the creature leave and pulled out hand held device. "Luis? Get the supplies ready. The baby is due soon," he said. The screen cracked and Luis's face was on it. He looked grim faced but nodded. "Very well," he said and the line was soon cut. Wesker smirked. "This will be the first time to experiment on a baby." The ideas were endless but knowledge was limited as it hasn't been done before, considering the little creatures were delicate.

"I admit, I too am curious what could be done with them as they'd make pretty poor heartless. Being newborns makes them practically innocence incarnate and have very little darkness in them at all." Maleficent says opening a corridor and turns her attention to Wesker. "I'll check on Pete to make sure the woman is sent to room without trouble. Would you like to train against some more powerful heartless in the meantime or do you have someone to check up on?" Maleficent informs Wesker figuring it'd be safer to make sure Pete doesn't screw up on this than to take chances.

"I'll stay to train more," Wesker said. "I'm sure Alex and you can handle the birthing." He wanted to get stronger before the last fight, knowing he would need it against Sora and his group. "From her medical records it will be a boy." He could only imagine the looks of horror on the parents face's as well as the others.

"Very well, I'll leave you to it. The heartless should be here shortly." Maleficent says as she walks through the corridor and leaves. Once the portal closes behind her, multiple heartless appear all around Wesker who only smirks at the challenge. Numerous as the odds were, he felt no fear. Only a challenge that he must surpass to claim his right to be a god.

(Scene Change: ?)

A portal opens to reveal a strong built man in a black cloak walking out of the corridor into a ruined temple of some bygone age. Looking around he sees #2 walking to him with some files in hand. "I have to say, Xemnas, this little mission you had me on is starting to prove interesting."

"Oh? What makes you say so, Braig? Did you find what Maleficent has gained knowledge of?" The now identified Xemnas asks the former number #2, now known as Braig.

"If you mean the files she stole? No. But this B.O.W. stuff she's gotten into can be quite good for a distraction and to thin out the reinforcements most worlds have. Also, I ran into little Lanna and it's as the old man said. She's somehow affected Sora's bond with Anti form." The man states making the taller and bulkier man pull back his hood to reveal a man with long spiked white hair with amber colored eyes and tan skin tone. He smirks as he takes the files offered and puts it away in his cloak.

"That's good to hear, let me know of any and all developments concerning Sora and Lanna. Xehanort deems she could be of use to us in securing Sora for when the time comes." Xemnas commands as he opens a Dark Corridor and leaves. Leaving behind Braig to chuckle to himself at the turn of events.

"Poor, poor, Lanna. She has no idea what's she in for now that her fate is tied with Sora's. Oh well, no skin off my bones. Might as well help them survive this mess and get back to look for what that witch took." Braig says opening a Corridor and leaving without anyone witnessing their chat.

(Scene Change: Secret Base operating room. Claire, Luis, and Braig 3rd P.O.V.)

A Dark Corridor opens in a dark hallway and he soon hears the sounds of a woman's screams. Following them silently as he has a sneaking suspicion what is going on, he soon finds a window to take a small peek in. Once he does he sees a tired and crying redhead on a bed giving birth. With her doctor seeming remorseful as he helps her deliver it, trying to comfort her through this. Even with his regained heart, filled with darkness as it is, he felt a small twinge in pity knowing what the witch planned for the child. He soon pushed it down though as he knew Xehanort could and would do worse if needed.

Hell, the guy tampered with his own students heart to create a being of pure darkness and made him fight his own original. Who was a being of pure light thanks to Vanitas being forced out of his body in some effort to gain the X-blade. A hasty plan that while had some merit, was flawed due to Xehanort being hasty back then. Now however, the old man planned to do it the right way and Braig couldn't wait to gain what he was promised for helping the old man.

Claire screamed loudly as she gripped the bed, her eyes slammed shut as the pain grew. "Ah!" she cried out, whimpering as she was covered in sweat. She knew birthing was painful but being in this hole seemed to make it worse. Luis winced a bit from the screams as he felt bad for her...giving birth in this place and the witch wanting to test on it... He hated this. "Almost there senorita..." he said softly, trying to sooth her. "I can see the head. Just keep pushing..."

Claire screamed even louder and Luis was surprised that she didn't lose her voice from screaming so bad. He kept his head down as he cupped the head and helped easily pull with the pushing, seeing the shoulders. "Almost...keep pushing" he said softly. Claire looked at him tearfully. "Please...don't..." she begged and cried again as she pushed once more before giving birth. The baby, Matthew, cried loudly as he took his first breath of air as Luis cut the cord and wrapped him up in a blanket. He put the baby into a pan and went to clean up the mother, murmuring. "I am so sorry..." he whispered, feeling terrible. He stitched up Claire and cleaned his hands off and picked up the screaming infant. "A heartless will take you back to your husband."

Claire looked at him and struggled against her binds. "Please Luis...don't..." she begged the man, knowing who it was. Luis looked away and carried the baby out of the room. "I'm sorry..."

Braig watched silently, further pressing himself into the shadows as Luis left and took the baby to a room secured by a keycard. Watching as Alex Wesker looked at the baby with malicious glee clear anticipating the experiments she could try. Only for an alarm to go off and both check security consoles to see what tripped the alarm. Braig was both surprised and happy to see Lanna's little group already nearing the machine with a dead army of infected behind them.

'What do you know? Those guys are pretty good, granted they have Sora and Riku with them, but staying alive this long does show some worth for Xehanort's plans.' Braig thought to himself, impressed with Sora and Riku's friends. Luis seems hopeful at seeing Lanna so close to their position, while Alex seems both annoyed and eager for a little indirect revenge on Claire using Lanna too.

Luis put the baby into a bucket for safe keeping as he headed out to join Alex but felt something was off. He didn't know why either. He ran a hand through his hair as he looked behind him but saw nothing. 'Odd...' he thought. 'I must be going crazy...' He trailed behind Alex.

Only for a hand to grab him silently and pull him into the dark making a quiet shushing sound. "Shhh, listen, I can help you save the baby and yourself, but I need you to do what I say. Nod if you understand and won't speak unless I ask a question."

Fear rose through Luis when he was pulled into the dark and nodded slowly as he swallowed. He wasn't sure who the person was and turned to look at who was speaking, only to see a cloak clad figure behind him. He stared but looked interested when he mentioned the baby.

"Good, now listen closely because time is short. I can help cause a little confusion to delay Wesker's plans and buy the child time to be saved, but I can't be seen doing it. So I need you to turn off the camera in the experimentation room and I'll wreck the place. Before bringing the heroes here. So can I count on you to handle the camera?" Braig asks the man quietly.

Luis nodded as he listened. "I can do it" he said. "Anything to take out the witch.." He frowned as he wanted to repay Leon for helping in the past. He kept his tone low and quiet as he knew Alex was still out but he wanted to be careful. He didn't want anyone to over hear them. And it wouldn't take long turn them off. He looked at the masked figure in confusion, wondering why he was helping him but didn't ask.

"Perfect, I'll wait for you to get it done then. Once the camera is off, expect an explosion. That'll serve as a distraction and buy the kid time, as they can't experiment properly without a lab and equipment. Plus they'll have their attention divided between finding their mysterious guest and dealing with Sora's little party. Just a heads up, also don't worry about me needing a keycard, I got yours." Braig said before releasing Luis and when Luis turned around. The man was gone and no matter which way he looked. He couldn't see any sign he was here and feeling his pockets. He realized the man took his keycard with him as he said.

Luis sighed as he found his keycard was gone and headed to another section of the room as he started to type, turning off the camera's off for the room. He just hoped the masked figure knew what he was doing. He didn't want the kid to get hurt or anyone else, but from what he had seen from the group. They could take care of themselves as a group, but he was worried about them if they were forced to fight on their own.

(Scene Change: Experimentation Lab Braig's P.O.V.)

I step out of the dark corridor to see a decently high tech lab filled with containers for B.O.W.s, files, computers, and all sorts of equipment. Looking at the camera, I smirk seeing it down and walk behind the camera. Shooting the camera from behind to clear Luis of any suspicions of sabotage. It'll force them to believe someone found another way in and took out the camera before they were seen. Turning my attention now to the room, I begin stealing the data and downloading it all on some discs. Taking in the room and mentally figuring out which ones I should shoot first and where I should place the explosive chemicals to make this room unusable.

While I wasn't a science wiz, I did know basics of explosive chemicals and the warning labels made it all too easy.

I work quickly to set up the explosive chemicals and barrels of fuel. Guess someone needed it to power the generators in the room. Sucks for them now, because these bad boys are gonna help me make the mother of all explosions...Axel would've loved to have been part of this, but his loss for choosing to betray the Organization.

After finishing setting things up, I take the data and stash it in my cloak for safe keeping. Hopefully I can get that damn intel the witch stole soon, but I'll have to time my move right. All I need is for Sora to distract that witch long enough to break into her chamber and get it back without fear of being caught.

Feeling satisfied with my work I make a Dark Corridor and start walking through it backwards with my arrow gun aimed at the barrels in the center of the room. I couldn't help the smirk on my face as I'm in the portal with only my arm sticking out.

"Let the games begin." With that said I fired and dove into my corridor closing it behind me. Barely hearing the roaring explosion that happened from my attack.

(Scene Change: Sora and Lanna's group 3rd P.O.V.)

Jake was driving over some infected that Donald knocked over with Lanna, Ada, and Sherry giving covering fire. Sora, Riku, and Kairi cutting down any infected that managed to get close enough to jump on. So far they were making good time, but the sheer numbers of them proved Jake's suspicion was right, they were saving their bigger armies for later.

BOOM!

Everyone's eyes widened and even the infected paused in their attack to see a huge explosion go off in a tower in the distance. Fire and smoke rising high into the night sky.

"Holy shit! What the fuck was that all about?!" Jake cursed wondering what set off that explosion. Did serious damage to whatever room it originated from.

"I don't know, but it was huge. Do you think Maleficent is behind it?" Riku asks unsure what to think at this point.

"That doesn't make any sense though, we are here and as far as I know. Maleficent isn't aware of anyone else being here!" Sora replies trying to understand this mess.

Lanna saw the explosion, wondering what had caused it. She remembered #2 and wondered if this was his doing. She looked at Sora. "Sora, do you think it was him? #2?" she asked as she looked at the infected and pulled out a grenade, throwing it at them while they were distracted and it went off, killing most. "Jake, we have to go while they're confused." Sherry nodded at her, knowing she was right as they had been going up a hill, getting closer now.

"Shit...we have bigger problems...look!" Sherry said, pointing to the on coming truck coming at them. "Lanna!" Ada said as she started to shoot. Lanna nodded as she started to shoot as well, seeing the bullets hit off it before catching and setting the grill on fire.

"Shit hold on everyone!" Jake calls driving forward as the truck goes off to the side and crashes. Running over more distracted infected and making others jump back or try to jump on. Only to meet Sora and Riku's keyblades slashing their heads off.

Sora looks up at the tower unsure how to answer the question, but in his gut...he knows a storm is brewing. "Maybe Lanna...maybe."

(Scene Change: Secret Lab Luis, Alex, and Maleficent P.O.V.)

"What in blazes is going on here?!" Maleficent curses as she makes her way into the hallway connected to the fires being put out by the sprinkler system wondering how the hell the explosion went off. Especially since no one should even be in there yet, they weren't ready to experiment on the baby yet. If any of the equipment was damaged, they'll have to postpone it until they can get a working lab and replace the equipment.

Looking at her two scientists, she levels a glare demanding answers. "Did either of you noticing anything unusual while I was gone or see who could have done this?" Maleficent asks with a cold tone promising death to whoever put a wrench in her plans.

"No ma'am," Alex said as she hadn't seen anything. "It was clear when we left." She tried not to shiver under the witch's the cold gaze. Luis shook his head. "No," he said. "Nothing." He didn't want to give away anything that he did know. He had to get the baby away from these mad people.

"Damn...In that case you two are to stay under watch from the heartless just in case. We can't have whoever did this attacking you two." Maleficent orders not wanting to take chances of losing her scientists just yet. They were still very useful and still could be in the future. An alarm went off revealing Jake parking the bulldozer and the group progressing into a building. Maleficent narrows her eyes at this before turning her attention to Alex.

"How long until that B.O.W. we had planned is ready, Alex? We need it for when they get to the machine." Maleficent asks watching them make progress and take down infected army ganados at a steady pace. They weren't rushing to avoid being shot at, but making progress that annoyed her.

Alex grinned. "It is done," she said as she looked at the witch. She pulled out her cellphone and showed the witch of the finished product of the B.O.W. It was beyond ugly. "Are you ready for me to release it?" She looked at the witch, hearing the team move their way through the building.

"Have it lay in wait for them to enter the room where the machine is. Let's see how they plan to cure Lanna with that creature attacking at the same time. At least then their attention will be divided." Maleficent says with a cold grin on her face. Knowing with divided attention the fight would be much harder on the heroes.

Alex grinned and nodded as she went to get to work, releasing the large monster and gave it orders to it. It grunted and headed out, it's footsteps loud as it stomped towards it's destination.

(Scene Change: Lanna's group)

"Is everyone alright?" Lanna called out, hearing Elly whimpering as Sherry held her with one arm as she used the gun that Ada gave her and killed an infected. The bulldozer had blocked off the entrance they had crashed into. In front of them was a door that went deeper into the facility. "We're fine..." Sherry said as she panted softly, comforting the girl as they both looked shaken up.

"Fine..." Ada wheezed and held her bruised side a bit. Kairi nodded as did Donald and Goofy. "Yeah...what about you?" Goofy asked looking at the teen. Lanna nodded slowly. "Yeah...shaken but fine..." she said even though her head was pounding. "Jake? Sora? Riku?" She asked weakly.

"I'll live little red..." Jake called pulling himself out of the driver seat and jumping to the floor. Groaning as he rubbed his head.

"We're alright, guys!" Sora called as he helped Riku up, before both jumped to the floor too. Shaking the cobwebs out of their heads and looked around.

"I don't know who's worse at driving between you and Sora." Riku states making Jake look at him darkly. 'Just you wait smart ass.' Jake thinks looking forward to getting revenge on the silver haired teen.

Lanna panted and smiled as she dropped on her butt, holding her head. "Ugh...I wish someone would stop using my head as a drum set..." she muttered. Ada sighed and nodded. "Headaches are normal with the plagas but we shouldn't be far now," she said as she helped Sherry up. Kairi looked worried. "Headaches are horrible on their own," she said. Lanna chuckled softly. "That they are. Try having a migraine."

"Ugh...You're telling me," Jake mutters before looking at Ada. "How much further to the machine, Ada?"

"Almost there...it's down a couple of hallways and past a laser room, but it's coming up. We're getting closer to getting that plaga's out of Lanna," Ada said. Lanna sighed in relieve. "Good..."she said leaning back before forcing herself up to her feet, stumbling a bit. "Ugh..." She blinked and turned to a corner to throw up blood.

"Lanna!" Sora called to her in worry as he took a knee beside her, rubbing her back gently and with care. Riku and Jake smiling proudly of Sora for showing such concern toward Lanna in her time of need.

"You gonna be able to walk, Lanna?" Riku asks wanting to make sure she was fine, if not then Sora or Jake would have to carry her.

Lanna wheezed heavily, appreciating the concern of her friends and boyfriend. "...Yeah..." she said, shaking. She looked like a ghost now. "I'll be fine..." She smiled weakly at them. "Just...not sure how much blood I'll have left." Sherry frowned heavily at her. "That's nothing to joke about, Lanna," she said. "I'm surprised you can even walk after losing that much blood."

"It's the plaga," Ada said. "She's losing blood, but it's keeping her going." She frowned and looked at Jake. "We have to get going."

"Lead the way, Ada, I'm new here." Jake said opening the door for her, watching as she walked in and walked in step behind her. Everyone filing in through the door one by one.

Ada nodded as she headed out the door and into a room. There was a rickety metal stairs heading up to a catwalk and towards another door. The room had broken shelves and windows. On the cat walk was a table with two candle sticks that have been melted down all the way. "This is where dad lost Ashley for the last time," Lanna said. "Saddler took control of the plaga inside of Ashley while he used the plaga inside of dad to torment him."

Donald swallowed. "He doesn't sound like a nice guy," he said as they had seen old paintings of a man in purple robes. "He was another wannabe god," Ada said as she headed up the steps slowly and help Sherry up, who held a scared Elly. The little girl looked around fearfully.

Sora seeing this frowned in thought and came to help Sherry cheer up. "Hey Elly, would you like to ride on my shoulders?" Sora offered figuring a little playing might do her mentality some good. Jake catching on to this was thankful, but gave Sherry a small worried glance wondering if the two were okay.

Elly looked at Sora and nodded. "Can I?" she asked softly as she was scared. Sherry looked at Jake and nodded, letting him know she was fine but was concerned about the girl. She had a feeling that Elly would have some vicious nightmares after this and it saddened her as well. Lanna looked worried but was thankful to Sora for trying to cheer her cousin up.

"Sure you can! Just hop on the Sora express!" Sora said presenting his shoulders for Sherry to place Elly on. Looking at her with a sincere and kind smile, making Jake smile too at Sora trying to cheer Elly up. Riku only smiled gently remembering how Sora would always lookout for those around him.

Elly smiled as Sherry helped put the girl onto his shoulders and Elly held onto his head. "Thank you," she said as she looked. Sherry looked at Sora and smiled at him gratefully. Kairi smiled as she watched this and knew Sora was good with kids anyway. 'He'd be a good dad,' she thought and quickly shook that thought away. WAY too early to think about kids.

Ada smiled and pushed open the door that led to a short hallway and down a flight of stairs. "Come on," she said as she headed down the steps. Kairi was right behind her while Goofy and Donald brought up the rear. Sherry walked behind Kairi, keeping close to Jake.

"Right," Jake said smiling as he walked in step behind Ada, listening as Sora hummed a little tune Elly seemed to be liking. Bouncing on his feet gently much to the little girl's delight with Riku giving a small chuckle at the sight. Now taking a position ahead of Sora with Kairi next to him to protect both Sora and Elly. They knew he could do it himself, but they wanted to protect Elly from this nightmare as possible.

Lanna walked behind them, seeing the smile on Elly's face and smiled. She was glad that the girl slept through most of this nightmare, but worried at how she would act near the end. "We're coming up to another room," Ada said as she pushed open the door to reveal an open area that she knew all to well. Their foot steps hit the grating of the floor as under them were more equipment.

"What was this room?" Kairi asked looking around. "Not sure, but this is where Leon fought Krauser," Ada said as she walked through the room but stopped when infected dropped down in front of them with shields and arrows. "Oh great..." Goofy said sighing as there wasn't many infected, five at the most.

"We got this! Jake, Ada, cover us! Kairi, with me!" Riku calls charging out with his way to dawn in hand.

"Right!" Ada and Kairi said as they got ready and ran after him, weapons out. The infected roared and ran forward, eyes glowing red. One shot an arrow at Jake. Ada shot at a shield wielder, destroying it easily. Kairi shot a fireball at another, knocking him backwards.

Jake rolled to the side and shot the archer in between the eyes three times before the head exploded. A plaga parasite with a blade coming out as Jake quickly switches to his AK-47 to shoot the parasite until it died. Riku meanwhile rolls under one infected's shooting and hand springs himself toward it. Launching a fierce kick to it's gut knocking the wind out of the creature, before cutting the infected in half.

Seeing all the infected die as Kairi finished the last one off with a stab to the head. Riku moves to place a calming hand on her shoulder. "Good job, Kairi. It'll take a while, but you'll get use to this in time." Riku complements as he checks everyone with a quick glance and feels satisfied no one was injured.

"Well that was fun, now let's get Lanna cured." Jake said ready to get to the machine and have Lanna cured.
