Sylva sat nervously outside the dean's office, holding a rag over his busted nose. Beside him sat Jace, the absol's arms crossed with headphone drowning out the world. Sylva had never been called to administration. He stayed out of trouble, and out of people's way. He couldn't fathom why Jace acted like he owned Loki, but it really irritated the umbreon. The Mightyena at the desk turned calmly to them.
"The dean will see you now." She spoke softly. The two nodded and entered the office. The dean, Mr. White, stood as they entered. The Darkrai was intimidating. The pitch black pokemon was dressed in a sleek, black suit with red trim, his long white hair tied back with a black ribbon. He turned away from them, walking to the window quietly, his hands clasped behind his back.
"I must say, I expected to see you yesterday Jace. You, Sylva, I'm disappointed in." The umbreon looked down, his ears pinned back. White turned to them, the same indifferent expression he always had. "What on earth led you two to fight? I'm know you two are well aware of the consequences, so tell me what was so important you couldn't talk it out." Sylva went to say something, but his phone went off. Nervously, he pulled it out to check it, chuckling softly.
'Loki here, hitting the beach with the girls, see ya later. ;)' The umbreon couldn't fight back his grin, but he quickly snapped back to the situation when Mr. White cleared his throat. He stuffed his phone back in his pocket quickly, flashing an apologetic smile.
"Something important?" The phantom asked quietly. Sylva smiled softly.
"Sorta… I'm hoping we can be together…" He said quietly with a shy smile. Jace growled low in his throat, prompting White to raise a brow.
"It seems we've found the root of your problem." The darkrai stated in mild interest.
Jace sighed. "Mr. White….. it's just…. I… feel jealous I guess….. I knew Loki first, and he even admitted he liked me yesterday… i-I wasn't certain, but now I am. I want to be with him, but Sylva is pulling him away…." White nodded quietly in understanding.
"And sylva? How do you feel?" He asked softly. The umbreon swallowed.
"I've never felt like I mattered… no one's ever cared about me, let alone had a crush on me….. Then Loki came around, and he changed everything. I may not know him that well, but he's already changed my life. I more than want him, i… I need him.." Mr. White nodded quietly, an understanding look in his eyes.
"You two can't fight over him. You can only wait for him to choose one, or both of you." At that, both teens perked up in interest.
"b-both of us?" Sylva asked quietly. Mr. White smiled and leaned back in his chair.
"I don't see why not. You both care for him equally. If it's what he chooses, then I believe you will be fine." They nodded quietly, getting up to leave. "Oh, and you both have detention all next week. No fighting in school boys." They duo smiled shyly as they left, Mr. White's chuckle following them.
"So…. Wanna hit the beach?" The umbreon asked with a slight smile. Jace gave him a curious look, so Sylva pulled out his phone and showed Jace the text. The Absol smiled and nodded.
"Oh yea. A chance to see Loki shirtless? Wouldn't miss it." Sylva chuckled with a slight blush.
"Then let's go and grab our swimming trunks and meet him there." With that, Sylva texted the zoroark they were coming. 'Things are looking up Sylva….' He turned to jace with a slight smile. 'Perhaps sharing with him won't be so bad….'
