Well, I'm back with another chapter. A very, very interesting chapter. I'm worried it may seem a little rushed, but I tried not to. Oh god, this chapter was fun to write. It's kind of weird, but I think you guys will appreciate it later.
You guys were so accepting and even excited about the Phoenix x Rose pairing! I'm glad you guys like it so much, and I definitely will work on it more with the chapters Phoenix actually has with Rose.
Someone requested a side story focusing on Phoenix and Rose. What do you guys think of that? I was going to do that with the Doctor originally actually, but with this new ship, I think I might actually do it.
Sadly, this chapter doesn't really have any Rose, but trust me, she comes soon. With lots more of Lesbian fun. But this chapter is fun as well, don't worry. Lots of thinking.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter!
(Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who, though I would be happy if I did.)
Phoenix slowly climbed out of the bed, making sure not to wake up the sleeping blonde. She had to get out and clear her head before anything else happened. She had just gone through multiple traumatic experiences, just had sex, and found out about her feelings for two different people. That was a very overwhelming situation, and she needed to get out. Well, as close as she could to 'out'. That meant wandering the Tardis halls until she had a clear head.
Quickly slipping on a pair of skinny jeans and a random T-shirt from Rose's closet, Phoenix walked out of the room and right into the console room. Phoenix guessed that the Tardis had done that on purpose, but it seemed pointless to her. Well, until Phoenix noticed that the Doctor was not in the room like normal.
It was either 10 or 9's Tardis, with the wires sticking out of the console and the weird columns sticking out of the ground and stretching up to the ceiling. Phoenix had always wondered where Moffat had gotten the idea for a Tardis looking like this. The round things on the side were obviously themed after some of the older Tardis', but the whole rustic look was newer. Nevertheless, it was one of Phoenix's favorite Tardis desktops. She knew she wasn't exactly supposed to pick a favorite, but it was the first one she had ever seen.
Phoenix smiled softly, before slowly walking towards the console. There were levers and buttons all over the place, but Phoenix assumed it would be easy enough with the Tardis' help. And with that thought, one of the levers seemed to glow brighter than the others. Phoenix grinned, and pulled it down. Hopefully the Tardis was blocking this from the Doctor and Rose. She didn't exactly want them to know she was moving the Tardis.
They both worked like that together, the Tardis lighting up the button or lever Phoenix needed to manage, and Phoenix worked it. They made quite the team. Finally though, the fun was over. The Tardis landed, and Phoenix looked at the door with eagerness. She had no idea where they were. That was something she hadn't felt in a while. She constantly knew what was going to happen, in almost every detail. It was finally something she had no idea about.
Slowly walking over to the door, Phoenix placed her hand on the silver handle of the Tardis door. Her smile could be considered infectious, and she was having a hard time standing still. Anything could be out there. A city, a forest, a weird alien place, anything!
Pushing the door open, Phoenix stepped out into the most beautiful sight she had seen in a while. It was a forest! The brown trunks of the trees reached up high, almost as if they were to touch the clouds, and burst into a beautiful shade of green as the leaves were spread across the branches. On the ground were many beautiful flowers of all colors, from gold to sky blue. Bits of grass poked out of the dirt, along with a few weeds. A stream passed nearby, and you could hear the clear water sloshing up against the sides. It was actually a rather peaceful sound.
It was almost like Phoenix's dream world. It was just… perfect. Almost too perfect. But at the moment, Phoenix did not really care. She was too caught up in the beauty to care about most of anything. Picking up a few of the red flowers on the ground, Phoenix walked along the stream's edge, silently listening as it moved flawlessly across the land. She was in heaven.
Phoenix yawned, sitting down on a fallen tree trunk. She hadn't gotten much sleep considering… well, what she had done the night before. Let's just say Rose has a lot of stamina. And ideas. And generally everything.
Which then reminded her of why she had originally gone out before. To think. She knew she had feelings for two different people. The Doctor and Rose. How she had gotten feelings for both of them, she had no idea. She had to admit they were both cute, and they both had that sense of adventure that she liked, but why did it have to be both of them? Especially considering she had the whole jumping timeline.
And she knew Rose died. Well, not really died, just… she could never really see her again. Unless she changed something drastically. She would have to change everything that happened in the Journey's End episode. Somehow, she would have to change all of it. Because she really didn't want to see Donna die either.
So, she obviously knew that she liked Rose. She had banged her, for god's sake. But what about the Doctor? She obviously couldn't date them at the same time… Or could she? What would it be called? Technically Phoenix would be dating them at the same time, but it would be two separate times for them. She wasn't sure how they would react. Would they be okay with it? Would it be something completely forbidden and make them really mad? She wasn't sure about anything, but it was her best option. Her only hope was that they wouldn't hate her if they found out.
Well technically, the Doctor already knew. He knew that she dated Rose; or at least, she hoped he did. What if her and Rose kept their dating secret from the Doctor? This was the problem with being early on in the time stream. She didn't know anything about what the hell they did. She would just have to figure it out by herself every time.
Phoenix yawned again, laying down against the tree trunk. She was exhausted, she could just take a quick nap before heading back to the Tardis. They wouldn't miss her for that long, right? There wasn't a harm in taking a fifteen minute nap. With that, Phoenix drifted off in to a rather deep sleep.
Phoenix slowly opened her eyes, yawning as she pushed herself up. She was on a cold metal floor, and all around her was multiple technological devices and things like that. The Doctor must have taken her back to the Tardis. But, as Phoenix blinked a couple of times, closer examination proved that she was actually not in the Tardis. Not at all. Not anywhere close. She was inside a Dalek ship.
Her eyes widened in panic, and she quickly stood up, immediately looking for a way out. Luckily, she couldn't see any Daleks, which meant she was safe at the moment. Even so, it was one of the worst possible places she could be. She could die in here, and no one would ever know. Rose would probably just assume she had jumped, and that she was completely safe in a different point in time. But no, Phoenix would be stuck on a Dalek ship, probably dead by the time Rose woke up. If she was still alive by then, well, she would be wishing she was dead, that's for sure.
Phoenix took a deep breath, trying to calm down. It was no use panicking, it would just make her worse off. But still, that inkling off fear stayed in the back of her mind as she began to take slow steps toward the only door in the room. Well, it wasn't really a door, more like a hole in the wall. The Daleks really couldn't open doors, now could they?
No matter how much Phoenix hated the Daleks, she had to admire their ship. It was a mix of steampunk and technology, which looked rather nice. It reminded her of 9 and 10's Tardis a lot, the way everything looked somewhat covered in rust, or a bit messy. It was pretty obvious to assume the Daleks she was about to face were at least somewhat fresh out of the time war. They hadn't fixed their ship yet.
Continuing down a hallway, Phoenix began to get a bit more nervous. Seeing Daleks made her nervous enough; but not seeing them on a Dalek ship made her more worried. Where were they? They couldn't be hiding, because Daleks didn't hide. They fought viciously instead of running. So where could they be? They could be all in one room; depending on how many Daleks were on the ship. But Phoenix doubted that. They would have at least one person on the controls, or on guard. But it was like the place was deserted.
Phoenix's footsteps echoed off the walls as she continued on, looking into rooms and down more hallways. It was almost as if she was looking for the Daleks instead of trying to get rid of them. It was weird, being on an empty Dalek ship. Any company, even a Dalek, would make her feel the slightest bit better.
She finally reached the main console room, which she found to be empty as well. Phoenix frowned, moving her hands softly across the console. Why weren't there any Daleks? It was like a mystery, and Phoenix was determined to find out what exactly the conclusion would be. It would be hard though, considering she had absolutely no where to start.
Phoenix began to pace back and forth from one end of the console room to the other, constantly trying to deduct anything. What would Sherlock do? What would Sherlock do…? Phoenix stopped suddenly, walking over to the console and turning on the screen. She may not be a Time Lord, but she was halfway decent with computers.
It took Phoenix a while to get used to the controls. They were obviously different than human controls; them being Daleks and all. Everything was controlled by their plunger, so she had to pull and push a lot of buttons. Sometimes they didn't work, and she would have to find a different way to do it. She figured out that the main information core could only be opened through the reorganization of one of their plungers. But what she did find out was that it had been opened only about an hour before, meaning there still had to be someone around.
It was relieving and nerve-wracking at the same time. There was another life form around the Dalek ship somewhere, but the same time they were most likely dangerous and they would probably shoot her as soon as she reached them. If she ever reached them.
Phoenix sighed in frustration as the computer suddenly decided to lock her out. She had been trying to get into the main information core for a while, but nothing was working. She couldn't find anything out if she couldn't open it. She wished she had brought her sonic with her now. It could have been extremely useful.
That though made Phoenix perk up slightly. The Daleks had to have some old technology around, right? Maybe there was a sonic screwdriver in there. Of course, a sonic screwdriver was a weird tool, but it was the only thing she really knew how to use. She could try something else, but it would take more work on her part and a lot more time, as she would have to find out how exactly to work it.
Smirking slightly, Phoenix began to walk down a hallway, checking in every room and down every hallway once again. But instead of looking for Daleks, she was looking for the storage room. She really wished she had a map of the place, which would help quite a bit.
Phoenix finally arrived upon something that looked somewhat like a storage room. It was almost filled to the brim with little metal objects or trashed computers or other things similar. It looked as if it would take months to go through everything. Phoenix groaned in frustration, leaning in the doorway. She could either look through all of the stuff and hope for something useful, or not even attempt and go without anything. Both were rather risky, seeing as she could probably damage some limbs trying to go through the stuff. But then again, if she didn't grab anything, she could die.
So, deciding on looking through all of the items in the room, Phoenix began to dig in the pile of junk, looking for anything that looked even slightly similar to a sonic screwdriver. She found quite a few things, though none of them were actually any use. She found a banana at some point, which worried her as to exactly where it came from. It was still good, meaning it was thrown in recently. And the Daleks don't eat bananas.
Phoenix dug around for another hour or so, before giving up completely. It was useless trying to go through all of the items in the room. She had decided to just go and try to figure out how to work the computer again without the sonic. It would be much harder, maybe even impossible, but it was all she could do. Taking a last look at the room, Phoenix was about to turn and leave when she noticed something shiny sitting up on a shelf in the far back. With a bit of squinting, Phoenix was able to figure out it was the sonic screwdriver she had been looking for the whole time.
Phoenix slowly walked through the mess, standing on top of some items and crawling under others. She probably looked rather stupid, trying to get through piles of random junk. But she was convinced that it would be worth it.
She hissed as the metal scrapped across her legs, but she kept going. A couple of cuts were worth getting out of the Dalek ship, right? Plus, the pain was proving that it wasn't a dream, which Phoenix had considered a couple of times before. She had fallen asleep right before all of this had happened after all. It would make sense if it was a dream.
Phoenix finally reached the shelf with the sonic screwdriver, pulling it down with a grin. As she inspected it, her grin turned into a frown. It was her screwdriver. The one she had gotten from fan mail that one time. It was black with a red tip.
Staring at it, questions began to fly through Phoenix's head. Why was it there? Why did the Daleks have it? Did something happen where I had to leave it here in the future? Was future me stuck on the ship at the moment? Was the screwdriver even safe to use anymore?
Phoenix took a deep breath, before sticking the sonic in her pocket. She couldn't worry about any of that at the moment, she had to get out of the Dalek ship before something bad happened to her. She wasn't planning on dying at the moment, considering her recently discovered thoughts and all.
Climbing back through the junk seemed easier the second time. She had reached the doorway in no time at all. Grinning slightly, Phoenix dashed through the halls towards where she was pretty sure the control room was. She could finally get out of the Dalek ship.
Phoenix came to a halt at the doorway, her eyes growing wide in a matter of seconds. The sonic dropped from her hand, landing on the floor with a loud 'clank'. She was no longer alone in the Dalek ship. In fact, she probably was never actually alone in the first place. Yet, who it was shocked her more than the fact that the person was there.
Standing there, in brown ragged clothing, was the War Doctor.
Well, that happened. Don't worry, she really isn't dreaming. Well, I guess you guys might have wished she was dreaming, but she's not. I have such a brilliant plan for this, you guys have no idea. Oh god I'm so excited.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and stay tuned for the next one!
