Chapter 2
Author Note: Well back with another update and finally getting around to updating this. First I wanna say thank you to everyone who Favorited, Followed, and Reviewed I really appreciate it.
Not much else to say really other than that I hope you all enjoy the chapter and to Favorite and Follow if you haven't already, and especially leave a review with your thoughts.

"Blinky if I survive I'm gonna break three of your four arms!" Naruto said as he was currently in a chamber and his entire body felt weird.
"Is he often this angry?" Blinky asked Tobey curiously.
"You should've seen what he did to our Spanish teacher's truck when the jerk gave Naruto an "F" on his test simply because Naruto bumped into his truck with his bike." Tobi said as that was definitely something to see as Naruto painted it with graffiti while also not getting caught.
"Well how else was Master Naruto supposed to complete his momentous first mission as the Trollhunter and vanquish the Rogue Gnome terrorizing Bagdwella's shop if he is unable to enter siad gnome's dwelling?" Blinky said, crossing his four arms.
"Pretty sure he doesn't care and by those screams I don't blame him." Tobi said, shivering slightly as the chamber opened and they saw a tiny Naruto..
"Blinky when I get big again I'm gonna kill you and I'll start by ripping your eyes out you lunatic!" Naruto said having no idea how high pitched his voice sounded.
Toby was silent for a moment as he listened to his best friend threaten Blinky before he burst out in laughter "Oh god Naruto you voice sounds hilarious!" he says in between his laughing as he holds his sides due to them hurting from his laughter.
"You wanna make jokes? Tobes come say 'em to my face." Naruto said shaking his fists
"But Naruto I can't get down low enough to be face to face with you" Toby says still laughing causing Naruto to visibly shake in anger.
"THAT'S IT!" Naruto roars before charging Toby only to be picked up off the ground by Arrgh "Lemme go I am going to show him something to laugh at!" he roars swinging his sword around.
"Argh if you please." Blinky said motioning to the hole.
Argh picked up his friend and threw Naruto directly into the hole.
"How long do you think this will last?" Toby asked Blinky.
"A day perhaps." Blinky said to him, having no real idea given how the shrinking machine was usually used on rocks and not living beings.
"It better!" Naruto yelled from inside the hole "I swear I get robbed by a damn gnome this must be a cold day in hell, cause no one robs me!" he said as his skills were top notch "weird." he said as he saw a gnome skeleton as he was wondering if this was an enemy or maybe just straight up murder "Well at least this will be fun." he said as he ventured deep and soon saw the gnome "Hey crazy!" he said as he held out his hand summoning his amulet which then shrunk to be his size and said his oath "How about you and I have a go?" he said as the fight was more on equal grounds now.
"Would he be the first Trollhunter to lose to a gnome." Toby asked Blinky cause if Naruto did that'd be terrible
"Hmm I do believe he would be in that case" Blinky said rubbing his chin in thought.
"Yeah that ain't gonna happen." Naruto said coming out with the gnome.
(2 hours later)
"The one benefit to being this small candy is larger than what I paid for." Naruto said eating a chocolate bar 3 times his size.
"Ok now I'm jealous." Toby said looking at the sac with the gnome.
(next day)
"What the hell is taking so long!" Naruto said looking at his body that was still the size of an army man. However just as he said that his whole body started to hurt before in a flash he was back to normal size "Well looks like I am back to normal and Blinky has been spared the horrors of me pranking him." the blonde says with a nod as he checks his body over to make sure everything was back to normal size. He then realized what time it was before rushing off to school as he couldn't be late today because today was the day of his Spanish Test. Thankfully despite all the shenanigans that went on the previous day the blonde was able to pass his Spanish Test…barely.
(few days later)
Nomura tried to focus on her paperwork as she had been given a task to test the hunter and it didn't come from Bular, it came from a certain record player she had hoped was useless 'an army of goblins.' She thought as the Janus Order sent her a separate supply of goblins separate from Stricklers and she was ordered to send them after Naruto as all she was told was this was a test 'but a test for whom, me or Naruto' she thought to herself as she had a little over 60 goblins and Naruto's fight with Draal was coming 'hmmmm maybe I can solve his issue.' she thought as she knew how the forge worked and knew how to keep it locked in the arena.
(The next day)
Naruto felt odd these past couple days from his house, school, and even in trollmarket, all the others had to say was that it was just nerves, he went to the arena to train in private as he wanted to be better as Draal had experience where he didn't as shown to him by their first fight 'time to tap into that fear.' he thought as fear was always a problem for him, but he started to give himself a reason to be afraid, for his mother and friends, if he died no one would be able to protect them.
Naruto was brought out of his thoughts as the arena entrance was sealed and unknown to Naruto many eyes were watching him.
Kanjikar's soul saw the newest trollhunter trapped in the arena "Come brothers and sisters we are about to witness the skill of the Uzumaki's once more!" he said as all the previous trollhunters watched the arena form their spot in the soothsayer realm.
'Show me you have your mother's spirit little Gynt.' Nomura thought well hidden and her view unobscured by anything.
'The time has come Naruto, unleash everything and kill them all!' The female voice from when the blonde was unconscious thought as she wanted to unleash the beast that was inside Naruto and there were only so few ways she could do that, but a single spark can often set ablaze.
"Ok what the hell are you." Naruto said seeing small green looking things with yellow and red eyes.
"Wakka Chaka!" one of them yelled.
"That's not troll sounds similar though?" Naruto said as the language translated, he just didn't know into what though he dodged when one tried to jump him and he slashed it and it blew up into goo "Ok you're not trolls, I know I read this in one of the books Blinky gave me…goblins?" he asked as he read up on certain magical species and this was the most common.
"Ching Ching!" another Goblin yelled with a sadistic grin as it activated the forge.
"Oh crap!" Naruto said as fighting in the forge was one thing, fighting and army was an entirely different matter.
'He's nimble, I'll give him that much.' Nomura thought as Naruto's skill with the blade was impressive. His agility was good, but his reaction to battle is a bit in question 'are his eyes glowing?' she thought as she could've sworn she saw a faint glow in them 'I thought that amulet was blue.' she thought seeing it glow a golden orange for a second.
Naruto didn't know why, but he felt a rush as he killed the goblins, slicing and dicing them till they were goo.
'That's it, give into that bloodlust and kill them and then you can move onto bigger game.' The voice thought as this was the first step as killers weren't made from battle, they were made from survival, the constant fighting till one no longer gave a damn about who or what died if it meant they got to live. The voice and Nomura continued to watch as Naruto sliced his way through the goblins.
(1 hour later)
"How did goblins enter trollmarket!" Vendal angirly asked Blinky as Naruto was sitting down covered head to toe in goblin slime.
"I haven't the foggiest idea, but look at this! Trollhunter for barely a month and he slayed a veritable army of goblins!" Blinky said shaking Naruto slightly as goblins in those numbers were quite the achievement.
"Hmm yes it was quite a feat for such a green Trollhunter let alone a human" Vendal said stroking his long beard as he look at Naruto internally thinking how proud the boys parents would be if they could see him now "Well then keep up the work then and continue your training" the aged leader said before walking off.
Naruto was silent as he felt the warm goblin blood on him from his battle remembering the blood that was spilled and all he could wonder was why.
'Rest now my warrior.' the female voice said as Naruto felt tired all of a sudden 'no mercy for those who stand against you Naruto, do not give them anything.' she said to him as his mind slowly drifted to sleep.
Nomura waited outside the hearthstone out of sight wanting to be close to Naruto as she had trouble with a few dozen goblins, Naruto took on much more than she could 'you have her spirit Naruto never lose that.' she thought to herself as she soon saw Draal appear heading to the heart stone.
Draal looked around not seeing anyone and entered seeing the troll hunter on Vendal's bed.
'Harm him Draal and I shall make sure your body crumbles in a second.' Nomura thought her blood boiling in anger at the mere thought of him doing anything to Naruto.
"You might actually be a worthy fighter after all…Though I will withhold my judgment until after our fight." Draal said not one to dismiss another warrior's accomplishments and was willing to acknowledge them.
'Is he…is he actually being humble, where was that when we dated?' Nomura thought rolling her eyes as she saw him leave, she then landed near Naruto's berth "WHEN you win the battle, you will show that moron his place, you have warrior blood in you." she said as she left him. The blonde spent the next hour resting up before heading home for the day.
(Next Day)
"Can I ask you a favor?" Naruto asked Nomura curiously as the two sat at the cafe they would often meet up at after he had called her.
"Depends, is it illegal?" Nomura asked him, getting an odd stare "kidding ask away." she said to him simply.
"Well there's this girl-wear a condom." Naruto was saying till Nomura cut him off.
"This isn't about sex!" Naruto yelled in annoyance and embarrassment with a blush on his face which only got brighter when he noticed several people looking at him for his outburst.
Nomura raised an eyebrow at that as from what she has seen in her travels whenever teenage boys asked about girls, hormones usually did the driving.
"She's passionate about the play and I was wondering if I could get your opinion on it." Naruto said to her.
Nomura was not blind "You want to impress her don't you?" she asked more like stated her question.
"Is it that obvious?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No but you just confirmed that's what you want to do based on your response" Nomura said with a slight smile causing Naruto's eye to twitch at having been played "Word of advice if this girl is as passionate as you make her out to be, buy her a real dress, we have a few exhibits here based on that era and your school is coming here in a few days already for a trip." she said giving Naruto a gentle nudge to make his move "also if you can land a damn kiss just do it." she said to him as she did not need a repeat of his parents.
"...Pretty sure that would be considered assault if I just went up and kissed her" Naruto said with a deadpan look on his face.
"It's only assault if she isn't into you and doesn't return the kiss." Nomura said finding it funny he thought it'd be an assault as she saw how women looked at him 'got his father's features and his mother's face.' she thought as that was a sure fire way to get a girl
"So you're going to invite my class to the museum?" Naruto said hoping to change the topic away from the whole kissing Claire thing.
"Already did, you're coming Friday, enjoy." Nomura said with a smile.
"...So this whole meeting was just a way for you to tease me?" Naruto says after a moment of realization.
"Possibly though, who's to say" Nomura replied with a small smile as she took a sip of her tea.
"I will never understand women." Naruto says lowering his head and getting a chuckle out of Nomura.
"Then the girl you like is certainly a good one." Nomura said walking away as it was a woman's pastime to mess with the minds of men in any way they could.
"Yeah she is." Naruto says with a blush on his face as he thinks about Claire all the while Nomura has a knowing grin on her face fondly remembering when the teens mother was the same way.
(Later that night)
As a package delivery truck pulls up to a house and the driver gets out with a package several goblins sneak over to the back of the truck and open it before they begin rummaging through the various packages. As they do so one of the goblins finds a marker and draws a mustache on his face before he begins barking orders at the other three goblins. The little creatures manage to find a certain small crate that they were looking for and push it out of the truck narrowly avoiding being seen by the driver as he returns. However the lead goblin falls out of the truck to the ground and before he can react the driver starts the truck and backs up slightly crushing the leader to death under its tire as a result before driving off.
The remaining three goblins look at the flattened remains of their leader before one of them notices the marker and picks up before drawing a mustache on his face yelling "WAKA CHAKA!" seemingly assuming command of the other two goblins as they have murderous grins on their faces watching the truck get further and further away.
(Trollmarket, Hero's Forge)
Naruto rolled to the side to avoid jets of flame from a training dummy before bringing daylight up to deflect a volley of daggers from another dummy "Always be afraid. Fear heightens your senses. Fear keeps you alive" Blinky says, watching the display before Naruto casually rolls his neck as if the exercise was easy. How this resulted in a large rock fired from another training dummy to slam into his back knocking him to the ground "And Arrogance gets you killed. Draal does not fear you and that will be his weakness in your fight" the six eyed troll says as Naruto gets back up and resumes deflecting various things that are launched at him.
"Oh yeah, looking good Ruto, feel the burn!" Toby yells from the sidelines next to Arrgh. The portly teen was wearing workout clothes and doing squats to exercise.
"Tobes we talked about the whole nickname thing…it just sounds weird" Naruto says with a sweat drop as he spins, slicing a large rock in half as it flies towards him.
"Right gotcha ex-nay on the nickname-ay" Toby says with a chuckle as he continues doing his squats "Oh yeah if Naruto's getting fit, then I'm getting fit as well" he adds as his wristband beeps causing him to smirk "Don't wanna be too big after all" he says before turning to the side when he hears Aarg grunt "Oh not that there's anything wrong with that buddy. I just meant that if I am going to have Naruto's back I gotta be nimble" he explains before beginning to run in place which Arrgh starts copying. After a while of doing this Toby's phone beeped causing him to let out a cheer "Oh yeah! I just hit a benchmark of running a total of a hundred feet. That means I have burned a whole five calories!" he says excitedly as he takes a look at said phone.
Naruto dashes towards several of the training dummies and slices through them with his sword before turning to the side to avoid the daggers fired by another dummy. He then proceeds to dash towards said dummy deflecting daggers as he does so before slicing the dummy apart upon reaching it "I have to say I think the whole fear rule is the one I can handle the easiest whoa!" Naruto begins to say before noticing a dummy fire off some spears at him. Acting fast he turns to the side to avoid them with the spears sailing past within inches of him on either side before embedding themselves in another dummy…which proceeded to erupt in flames.
"No Master Naruto you must grow accustomed to and master all three rules. If trolls are ever going to embrace you as their Trollhunter, you must ignore your human instincts in battle" Blinky says before another training dummy pops up and Naruto throws his sword at it. The sword flies through the air for a moment before impaling the dummy…right where its 'gronk-nuts' would be. "Also a bit of further advice while it is perfectly acceptable to kick a troll in the gronk-nuts Master Naruto, to bring your blade upon them in such a manner is quite heavily frowned upon" he adds with a shake of his head.
"You're serious?" Naruto asks with a questioning look on his face at the sheer absurdity that kicking a troll in the nuts was perfectly acceptable but your blade hitting them there wasn't.
"As serious as a case of rock rot" Blinky says but upon seeing the look on Naruto's face he clarifies "It's a rather nasty affliction in which mold builds up on a Troll's…OKAY I GET IT!" only to be interrupted by Naruto who was sporting a greenish tint to his face at the potential description that was about to be described.
Naruto was about to say something else when the sound of laughter echoes in the forge causing the group to turn and see Draal heading into the area with a friend of his "Oh look it's training" Draal says mockingly as he and the other troll walk past Naruto. Before they leave the area Draal says something to his companion in trollish before the two laugh making it clear to Naruto it was some kind of insult aimed at him.
Blinky clenches his four fists hearing what was said before turning to Naruto "Let you fear keep you alive. Let his arrogance lead him astray. Defeat him and you'll make history" the troll says passionately.
"Oh I know, but I am also going to let my desire to kick his ass fuel me in the fight as well" Naruto says with a grin eager to knock the arrogant jerk off his high horse. For the next few hours Naruto continued to train while Toby watched and worked out on the sidelines.
(The Next Day)
'Not bad.' Nomura thought looking at Claire as Naruto had decent taste in choosing a potential partner as the girl didn't seem as fussy as girls usually were nowadays. Naruto and the rest of his class stood outside the museum with Stickler standing next to her "I know contemporary media might lead you to believe that the middle ages of European History was of swords, sorcery, and salacious scandals." the secret changeling says while internally thinking 'Which it secretly actually was'. "However I assure you the truth is far more interesting, and there is no better place to start than Dark Ages Pottery" she adds with a smile which was only slightly faked given how she did in fact enjoy the historic cultural arts of humans.
Strickler brought his class inside and let them wander around "What are you up to?" he asked as he had seen Nomura more often than he should've near Naruto
"Nothing, you know what the Pale Lady said to us." Nomura said as while the name terrified her to no end it gave her much wiggle room and protection from Bular and Strickler "She wants the boy alive and well, we have to see to that. So why don't you control your pet and make sure he lives." she said as Strickler had a soft spot for him and she'd make sure to abuse that to protect Naruto.
They both looked over the edge and saw Naruto with his companion, both still unable to understand the gravity of importance he had or why the Pale Lady was so interested in him.
"So check this out man, if I walk 50,000 steps I get a t-shirt, 100,000 steps get me a water bottle, and if I walk 500,000 steps that's when the big prizes start rolling in" Toby says excitedly as he looks at his phone going over the various rewards he gets for his exercising.
"Tobes I have to say while it's great you're working out I think the whole rewards thing is a bit messed up. I mean based on what you're saying you need to walk around 25 Miles to get a t-shirt, which costs about what $15 to $20? Meaning at most you're making a little over a dollar each mile right? Then there is the fact that a water bottle requires double that yet most water bottles only cost like $10-$15 so why does it take double the amount of steps that the t-shirt does?" Naruto points out with a skeptical look as while he was happy his best friend was trying to get healthier the system he was using had a few holes in it.
"...How is it that you can do all those complex equations in your head no problem, yet you hardly ever get above a B- in Math class?" Toby asks with a deadpan look on his face.
"...I get distracted in class" Naruto replies with a slight blush given how in said class he was seated next to Claire.
"You have a problem man." Tobi said as Naruto gave him a look.
"Careful Tobes remember who it is that makes your favorite gourmet lunches." Naruto says with a teasing grin on his face.
"Curses foiled by the devious allure of gourmet food yet again…I am so ashamed of myself" Toby says dramatically, slumping his shoulders.
Naruto chuckled at his friends 'defeat', he drifted apart from Tobi and spotted Claire admiring a medieval dress that was in a glass case.
Tobi saw Naruto approach Claire and rolled his eyes and decided to be a good wingman and go away, but just as he was about to leave he spotted Steve approaching them and decided to cut him off "Hey Steve did you hear about the Neanderthal Exhibit?...Topless and only a small fur loincloth" he whispers to the bully with a wry grin.
Steve's eyes widen at this before he gains a grin "Nice, cave ladies." he says with a perverted grin before strutting off to go see the exhibit.
"Is he serious?" Claire asked Naruto, having turned around hearing Steve say that and noticed Naruto coming towards her.
"Says a lot about a guy when he wants to see naked hairy ladies…even more so when said ladies are mannequins" Naruto said as they shared a laugh.
"Ugh gross." Claire says as she finishes laughing and turns her attention back to the dress in the case "Look at the embroidery on the dress it's beautiful." she adds seeing the intricate work on the dress.
"A girl with class, Naruto, you didn't say how much this girl was a cut above the rest." Nomura said walking up to the two as she loved people who could appreciate the finer times and the more classical aspects.
"Um what?" Claire asks in confusion as from what the woman said Naruto talked about her with the woman which seemed odd given how from what she could tell the only time the two had met was today.
"Where are my manners, call me Nomura child, and by how close you are to my young friend here, you must be Claire?" Nomura said feigning ignorance as Naruto sent her a flat look.
"You talk about me?" Claire said with a blush.
"My dear he does you an injustice, he never spoke about how pretty you were, and he talks about you quite often." Nomura said seeing her blush and Naruto as well 'Ah teenagers, such easy marks.' she thought to herself in amusement.
"In regards to the play!" Naruto suddenly says in embarrassment not wanting Claire to think he was some weirdo that talked about her all the time "I went to Ms. Nomura for advice on how to better my portrayal of Romeo and as a result you happened to be brought up once or twice" he adds chucking nervously and rubbing the back of his neck.
"Naruto, your blonde friend over there is trying to break my exhibit. Please stop him before I make him a permanent part of it." Nomura said as she saw Steve trying to 'strip' the female neanderthals and while she had no love for that exhibit, she wanted Claire to herself for a moment.
Naruto groaned as ofcourse Steve would screw this up "Oi Steve no manhandling a lady even if it's a mannequin! Furthermore don't think for a second you are going to take that thing home with you to do whatever it is you have in mind to do with it!" he shouts running after the teen who panics and as a result flees…while absentmindedly still holding onto the mannequin leading to Naruto having to chase him down.
"So…have you made a move yet?" Nomura asked, sounding less proper seeing her blush "Word of advice, things don't happen by doing nothing. Romeo and Juliet fought and died for their love, if you like him…make a move." she said as she would push both sides to speed things along.
"Any advice?" Claire asked her.
Nomura gave her a flat look as she expected more creativity from this one "Wait right here." she said to her going to her office and then gave Claire a video tape case.
"The new Gun Robot movie!?" Claire asked in surprise as it hadn't even hit theaters yet.
'I just love blackmail.' Nomura thought as she noticed Naruto was a fan of the franchise and changelings got into all sorts of places, not just political. She got this when she threatened Otto telling him it was for the sake of the mission and a bunch of other crap "I expect you to get a kiss." she said to her "Also make sure the short one doesn't know." she said to her.
Claire nodded and put the movie in her purse, now she just had to figure out a way to get Naruto alone so they could watch the movie together.
"Also if you need an excuse to kiss him tell him you want to practice for the play and don't eat anything with garlic." Nomura said as the kid could cook.
Claire nodded and thanked her before regrouping with her class.
'Should've given her a condom…just to be safe' Nomura thought as she imagined Claire would die from blushing so hard but the girl might end up surprising her and do something very bold.
While this was going on and Naruto was still chasing down Steve, Toby had wandered off a bit and was looking at the various exhibits before he heard Eli shouting "At first I thought it was an alien, however at the very least it's not human, most likely some sort of monster!" the boy says showing a picture on his phone to a couple of kids.
"C'mon give it up Eli" a girl looking at the picture says with a roll of her eyes as she doesn't believe him.
"No, this time I have photographic evidence!" Eli protests only for the girl to walk off causing him to sigh at not being believed…again.
"Hey Eli, mind if I take a look?"Toby asks, taking the phone and looking at the picture only for his eyes to widen as it's a selfie of Eli and behind him is a green gooey puddle with a noticeable pair of limbs sticking out of it. Acting fast Toby presses a button to delta the picture "Oh no! I accidentally deleted it" he says in fake shock.
"What the heck!?" Eli asks in disbelief that his proof was gone.
"Sorry about that Eli, darn these stubby little fingers of mine they make accidentally hitting the wrong button a common mistake for me" Toby says acting apologetic as he wiggles his fingers "If it's any consolation buddy I believe you" he adds before Eli walks off depressingly. Toby then starts running over to where Naruto and Claire are to inform the former of what he found.
"You know I have to be honest Claire. I actually auditioned for the play completely by accident. But I am glad I did as I really like the company" Naruto says with a smile at the girl.
"Aw thanks" Claire replies with a slight chuckle as she brushes a lock of her hair behind her ear.
"Hate to break it to you but I was talking about Eli" Naruto says with a teasing grin that causes Claire to laugh heartily at the joke. It was at this moment that Toby arrived with a forced wide grin on his face "This had better be important Tobes" the human Trollhunter says with a slightly annoyed look on his face.
"It's actually kinda bad. We have a problem of the unique kind" Toby says trying to hint at it being troll related without saying it in front of Claire.
Hearing this Naruto's eyes widen slightly while Claire just has a puzzled look on her face "Well we can take care of it later Tobes afterall we are on a field trip right now" he says getting a nod from the boy just as Strickler can be heard calling for everyone to gather around as they were leaving.
(Later that Night)
After the field trip had ended…with Steve somehow not getting in trouble for accidentally stealing the cavewoman mannequin, and the school day had ended Naruto and Toby had quickly rushed over to Trollmarket to tell Blinky and Aargh about what they found. The two humans and two trolls were standing in the street looking at the flattened remains of the goblin that the delivery truck had run over.
"Oh this is not good. As you are aware Master Naruto goblins while small in stature are a rather large threat" Blinky says seriously at the situation.
"Yeah they can be mean little buggers, but it looks like in this situation justice was served" Naruto says optimistically at how the problem already seemed to be resolved.
"Oh no Master Naruto, Goblins do not travel alone, for where there is one many follow in its wake. As for the unfortunate soul who ran over this small fellow, may Skaargen's swift blade have mercy!" Blinky states ominously.
"Damn and here I was hoping the swarm of Goblins I fought in the Forge was a fluke. How bad of a situation are we looking at here Blinky?" Naruto says with a sigh and a shake of his head.
"Goblin payback is ten-fold…at a minimum" Blinky states gravely getting a nod from Aargh as throughout the centuries the small menaces have taken the lives of many a troll that has earned their ire.
"Great that means the person who squashed the little terror is in serious trouble" Naruto says with a sigh not liking the implications "Just what are we supposed to do now wait around here all night hoping the person comes back in the hopes of saving said person while also not revealing the existence of Goblins and Trolls to them?" he adds with an exasperated throw up of his arms.
"No we just need to wait until around eight" Toby chimes in causing the others to turn to him and see that he is holding a sticky note "The delivery driver left a sticky note saying that they missed his delivery attempt so he is trying again tonight! Odds are he probably squashed the goblin with his truck!" the portly teen says excitedly.
"Awesome find Tobes! Now we just need to stick around and keep an eye out. I am not going to let some random guy get gobbled by some goblins on my watch" Naruto says with a grin before realizing how corny that sounded "...I did not intend to rhyme there" he adds with a wince.
"That's it Master Naruto! Answering the call!" Blinky shouts excitedly with a grin at Naruto's determination.
"So cool we're doing a stakeout like in all those cop movies!" Toby cheers excitedly at the prospect of doing a real-life stakeout despite the grim circumstances behind why they are doing it in the first place.
(Hour and a half later)
Naruto and Blinky were hiding in the bushes across the street from the house expecting the delivery with the former looking through a pair of binoculars he found nearby and the latter having a gruff look on his face with his four arms crossed over his shoulders "It's after nine o clock and the only thing being delivered so far is failed expectations" the troll remarks in annoyance.
"Yeah that's the thing about package delivery for humans…odds are the time frame they say they will arrive is not accurate. Besides look on the bright side, no sign of Goblins either" Naruto says before picking up his cell phone and calling Toby "Hey Tobes how's it looking over there?" he asks.
A little further down the road Toby and Aargh were hiding in another bunch of bushes keeping an eye on a different angle "All good in the hood Trollhunter, except I can't stop moving" Toby says as he jogs in place "My love of stakeouts is being overwhelmed and ruined by my desire to obtain swag" he adds a little winded from his exercising "Other than that nothing unusual War Hammer out" he says finally and using the nickname he gave himself.
"You are unusual" Aargh remarks with a slight grin at the teen's strangeness to the troll.
However just a moment later the bright lights of headlights are seen approaching causing Tony's eyes to widen as it's the delivery truck "War Hammer to Trollhunter, the package has arrived!" he frantically says into the phone.
Blinky and Naruto watch as the truck pulls up outside the house and the driver gets out, goes to the back of the truck and carelessly pulls out the package he intends to deliver before dropping it. "Okay we need to get him out of here before it's too late!" Naruto quickly whispers to Blinky as he prepares to move.
"Wait, his fate may already be sealed!" Blinky quickly says as he looks through the binoculars to see Goblins breaking all the street lights one by one casting the area in darkness "They're already here" he remarks pointing out the goblins to Naruto.
The trollhunter watches as a goblin with a thin mustache drawn above his lip walks out of the fog with nearly 20 pairs of eyes behind him. The mustachioed Goblin snaps his fingers and utters "Waka chaka" menacingly as the pairs of eyes get closer to him.
"I am not just going to sit by and watch as an innocent person is turned into an after dinner snack!" Naruto protests as he makes to get out of the bush only to get tackled to the ground by Blinky.
"Stay down and don't make a sound there appears to be far more than I anticipated!" He frantically says his voice being picked up over Naruto's phone as Toby and Aarg do just that, sinking down into the bushes they are hiding in " In their frenzied state they will attack anything in their path!" he adds.
Back with the delivery driver he arrives at the doorstep of the house and rings the doorbell only to drop the package and quickly pick it back up. After a moment the door opens to reveal Eli as it is apparently his house. Upon seeing the delivery man the small teen lets out a cheer "Yes! My spy gear has arrived!" he says excitedly before taking the package and hearing the contents jostle around inside of it "...Unassembled!" he added excited at the prospect of also being able to put said gear together himself.
"Hey mind if I use you can?" The delivering man says before letting himself into Eli's house not even waiting for an answer leaving the teen dumbfounded.
Seeing this Naruto's eyes widen "That's Eli! He's a good kid and in my class!" he says, making to get out of the bush yet again only for Blinky to stop him once more.
"He was in your class" Blinky points out already grimly accepting the boys presumed fate.
"I am not just going to stand here and watch Eli get torn apart and eaten by Goblins Blinky!" Naruto protests making to pull out the amulet and summon his armor. "I have not only fought goblins before but in greater numbers than twenty before us right now" he points out as a goblin knocks out the streetlight in front of Eli's house. Right as Naruto was about to recite the oath and summon his armor and sword he sees the Goblin let out a cheer before a literal swarm of goblins likely numbering to be at least a hundred race down the street towards the house…before diverting to the delivery truck and covering it….and start to eat it.
"Oh my goblins" Toby mutters out in shock and terror at the scene as they all watch the truck violently shake back and forth from the goblins on it.
"Remarkable and rather unexpected. Their dispute isn't with the driver at all but rather the transportation that flattened their kinsman" Blinky points out over the phone before his eyes widen "Ooh, you must not be afraid Master Naruto!" he suddenly says confusing said teen.
"Okay first of all I'm not…Secondly I thought the first rule of trollhunting was to always be afraid?" Naruto says in confusion as that seemed kinda counterintuitive to his previous lessons.
"Trolls, not Goblins" Aargh's voice is heard saying over the speaker of the phone causing the blonde to raise an eyebrow.
"Goblins crave the pheromone of terror, and odor you appear to be releasing quite generously" Blinky says with a few sniffs of the air causing Naruto to raise an eyebrow.
"Wait, so you're telling us they can smell fear?" Toby asks with a worried look on his face before sniffing his armpits "Oh, no I can smell it too!" he says panicking a bit and confusing his body odor from exercising with the smell Blinky is referring to.
"Then I would advise you to stop immediately or they will eat you!" Blinky says over the phone while in front of him and Naruto the goblins finish devouring the truck and one of them sniffs the air before turning around and letting out a growl upon seeing the troll and human in the bushes. "Perhaps I made my point too loud" Blinky remarks with wide eyes.
"Yeah that or they smell the 'Pheromones' coming off of you!" Naruto remarks as the two quickly run out of the bush and away from the swarm with Aargh and Toby following after them. At that moment the delivery driver exits Eli's house and walks to the side of the road before looking around in confusion at his truck being missing with only a single tire and the steering wheel of it lying in the road.
Naruto and Blinky run down the road with the horde of goblins all of which are sporting bloodthirsty grins chasing after them. As the two run, Naruto's pocket starts glowing and he pulls out the amulet which starts forming his armor. Seeing this Blinky quickly says "Now is not the time for armor Master Naruto as it will only slow you down. Now is the time for haste so that we don't end up as desert for the ravenous horde behind us!" he yells out as the armor forms on the teenager.
"I am not summoning it! It's doing that thing you told me about where it responds to my distress!" Naruto yells out before the blonde falters for a couple steps due to the sudden weight increase before he catches himself and resumes his strides and much to Blinky's shock actually manages to keep pace with him before passing him.
"Way to go Master Naruto! Such speed hasn't been seen since Swiftigon the Quick!" The multi-eyed yells out in shock and excitement at the blonde's speed.
"Thanks! It's like that old saying you don't have to outrun the hungry predator, you just need to outrun the slowest member of your group!" Naruto yells out from in front of Blinky.
"HA! I rather like that saying!" Blinky said before he thinks about the saying and realizes what it really means "On second thought I DON'T LIKE THAT SAYING!" he screams out in panic as he pushes himself to run even faster and manages to catch up to Naruto with the two once more running side by side.
However despite their speed the horde of hungry little predators was slowly gaining on them and just moments before the two were in grabbing distance of the horde they suddenly found themselves picked up and being carried on Arrgh's back alongside Toby. As the large troll carries the three down the streets with the goblins still chasing them Toby's chubby tracker beeps "Oh my god I just earned enough points for a free t-shirt!" the teen yells excitedly.
"Now is not the time to be excited about gaining points, Tobes!" Naruto yells out before a goblin leaps up and grabs Toby by the wrist, nearly pulling the boy off of Arrgh's back if it weren't for Naruto quickly grabbing his ankle.
The goblin bounces along the pavement several times as it tries to pull Toby down "Get it off!" said teen yells in terror before the goblin loses it's grip freeing the teen "NO MY POINTS!" Toby yells in shock at noticing his chubby tracker had been pulled off his wrist by the goblin.
"Seriously Toby!" Naruto shouts in disbelief as the goblins still chase after the group of four.
"We need to find a refuge! Trollmarket's too far for us to outrun this horde!" Blinky yells out in terror from his spot on Arrgh's back.
"Oh cut through these backyards and we can hide at my house!" Toby shouts pointing to the side before Aargh runs through some bushes and across several lawns before jumping over a wooden fence and running up to the back of Toby's house. Quickly jumping off of the larger troll Naruto, Toby, and Blinky run up to the door where Toby starts quickly cycling through his keys trying to find his key to the house all the while the snarling and growls get louder the closer said horde gets. With not a moment to spare Toby finds the right key and opens the door before the four squeeze into the house and shut the door behind them.
"Toby-pie! Is that you?" an elderly woman is heard shouting from the other room.
"Don't mind us Nana, we are just heading up to my room!" Toby calls out as the four quickly sneak up to his bedroom "Just go ahead and binge watch another show on Flixnet and make sure to keep the cats inside!" he adds as he grabs several candy bars off the kitchen table and follows the others up to his room.
Once the four are up in his room Toby begins to quickly munch on the candy bars "Anyone else want a snack? I find stress eating calms me down" he says with a slightly frightened sounding chuckle which given what just happened is a normal response.
"I am sorry to say Master Naruto but YOUR TOWN IS INFESTED WITH GOBLINS! I suggest a full evacuation followed by a complete torching of the town!" Blinky says frantically before grabbing a hold of Naruto by the shoulders and shaking him.
"We are not abandoning and going all scorched earth on the town Blinky!" Naruto says with a shocked look on his face.
"Yeah Naruto's right! I suggest a widespread evacuation followed by nuking the site from orbit instead" Toby chimes in as he shovels another candy bar into his mouth.
"Not the time Toby! And no more sci-fi horror movies, not after the whole "Little Green Men" incident you caused last year" Naruto says with a deadpan look as he points a finger at his best friend.
"Fine fine I will just continue to stress eat. But that incident wasn't entirely my fault I mean those leprechaun cosplayers were really creepy" Toby says with a pout as he eats another candy bar "Oh we need to get my chubby tracker back too, as long as those Goblins got it they are just going to get stronger and faster" he adds as he opens another candy bar.
"Must find den" Arrgh says, suddenly taking one of Toby's dirty socks lying on the floor and eating it which causes both humans to grimace in disgust.
"Arrgh's right we must find their den and eradicate them in one fell swoop so as to not incite their revenge" Blinky says in a slightly grave tone.
"Revenge for what?" Naruto asks in confusion as he didn't think they did anything to incite their revenge unless interrupting their 'Revenge' on the delivery truck counted.
"Yes there is a chance that they shall now seek revenge on both you and young Tobias. Not to mention there is the possibility that they could eventually find Tobias's home by following our scents at some later point now that they know said scents" Blinky explains causing Toby to gulp in fear and look around as if he half expected the goblins to jump out of the shadows.
"So we find the den, surprise attack and wipe them out, and boom no more Goblin problem. That doesn't sound that hard so where's the den you must have at least some idea" Naruto says with a casual shrug of his shoulders.
"Nope not in the slightest it could be anywhere" Blinky says rather unhelpfully causing Naruto and Toby to deadpan. However before the multi-eyed troll could say anything else he heard a chittering and looked into the dollhouse in the corner of the room to see the same gnome Naruto had fought a couple days ago sitting on a toy couch eating dinner next to a space-themed doll "Great Gronk Morka! What is the gnome doing in this dollhouse?" he says a little loudly turning to look at Naruto and Toby.
However before the two can answer the voice of Toby's nana is heard "Toby-pie? I don't recognize that voice who is that?" she calls out from downstairs.
"It's a friend nana! I do have more than one afterall!" Toby shouts back with a smirk.
"No you don't" was his nana's response causing the teen to slump while Aargh chuckle a bit.
"You told me to take care of the gnome after I caught it. That's what we're doing, taking care of it" Naruto says, stifling his laughter from the response of his best friend's grandmother and looking at Blinky.
"This is in direct violation of rule number two Master Naruto! Whatever happened to finishing the fight?" Blinky says pointing back at the dollhouse.
"Yeah and rule number one is to always be afraid except when you're around goblins apparently as they smell fear. By that logic your rules contradict each other and are flexible at the same time. Therefore it seems like they are merely a guideline to follow while it's up to the Trollhunter at the time to determine how to carry them out. Well I am the Trollhunter and it was my decision to not execute the gnome-'Chompsky'-Right Chompsky, thank you Toby, at that time simply because he was causing a little bit of mischief especially when nobody got hurt" Naruto says passionately defending his actions and being interrupted with a reminder from Toby about how they had named the gnome Chompsky after bringing him to Toby's house. "Anyway it's late, I have algebra in a few hours, and we need to focus on this whole Goblin issue. Not to mention my upcoming fight with Draal and oh hows about the fact that Bular is still lurking around waiting to use my bones for toothpicks after he is done ripping the flesh from them so how about we put a pin in this for the night and tackle it tomorrow night alright?" he adds, sounding a bit tired.
Seeing this Blinky walks over and puts a hand on his shoulder "As your trainer Master Naruto I can only advise you, not make your decisions. That being the case, I also understand that you're human and you're not only learning the rules in your own way but also seeing them in your own way. Therefore get some rest for the night, in the meantime Arrgh and I shall seek out the den wherever it may be and it seems life has thrown enough at you for the day…But a gnome in a dollhouse!?" he adds in a shocked tone at the ending getting a couple of sheepish smiles from Toby and Naruto.
(Next Day, Gym Class)
To the surprise of none of the students Coach Lawerence had chosen Dodgeball for gym class with said game well underway"Dodge this Lake!" Steve says with a slight lisp due to his chipped front teeth before throwing a dodgeball at Naruto.
Hearing the call out Naruto just rolls his eyes and casually takes a step to the left completely avoiding the ball before taking a step back to the right dodging another ball with little effort "You know after training in the forge and dodging knives, spears, swords, arrows, and fire dodging a ball is almost…laughably easy" he mutters to himself in thought before looking over his shoulder to see Toby just standing there with a ball in his hands and a downcast expression on his face. "Hey Tobes you going to get in the game or am I going to need to do this all by myself…again?" he asks casually, avoiding another ball as this was the third game of the class period with Naruto basically having single handedly won the previous two games for his team.
"Why bother taking another step!? My chubby tracker's gone! Life's so empty when you're not racking up points!" Toby exclaims in sadness, completely ignoring the dodgeball that hit him in the abdomen.
"Dude you took tens of thousands of steps before you got the chubby tracker. You can still take steps now that you don't have it. Also I honestly thought you would be at least a bit worried about the horde of bloodthirsty goblins coming after us" Naruto states with a deadpan look and roll of his eyes as he casually dodges more balls.
Hearing this causes Toby's eyes to widen in fear "Oh yeah…I forgot about that" he whimpers out at the remembrance that they are basically benign hunted by goblins now. However the boy was broken out of his fear via the multitude of balls that Naruto had just casually dodged pelting him. "At least your training is paying off" the rotund teen remarks before wincing as he gets hit with another ball "Man down" he says in a high tone of voice as a result of where said ball hit. The teen clutches said area and falls to the floor in pain right before he is hit in the face by another ball.
"Ha! In your face Domzalski you're out!" Steve yells out with a grin before catching a ball that's thrown at him and using the momentum to spin around and launch it at Eli who is brutally knocked to the ground by said object.
Seeing the unnecessarily brutal hit Naruto narrows his eyes and casually catches two balls that are thrown at him one in each hand, before throwing them back hitting two members of the opposite team. The blonde then catches another ball one handed and whips his arm horizontally sending the ball flying back at its sender knocking the teen to the ground leaving just him and Steve still in the game.
"Heh pretty good Romeo but kiss your Juliet goodbye"Steve taunts with a mocking clapping of his hands.
Hearing this Naruto just raises an eyebrow "Wow Steve I guess that ball to the face in the last round knocked what little sense you had left in that gourd you call your head as last i checked I am playing Romeo not you" he says with a mocking chuckle. Hearing this causes Toby to let out a laugh from the sidelines before he gets hit in the head by a ball thrown by Steve. Seeing this action causes a surge of anger to well up in Naruto as he grits his teeth and grabs a ball from the floor before launching it towards Steve. The ball whizzes through the air catching the bully off guard for a moment before he ducks under it. However despite this the ball continues on and heads straight for the doors to the gym…which Claire just so happened to be walking through. Seeing this Naruto's eyes widen in panic "Claire duck!" he quickly calls out alerting her to the incoming ball.
Seeing the ball sailing towards her Claire's eyes widen in shock and she lets out a yelp of fright having no time to duck. However strangely at the last possible second the ball seemed to suddenly curve slightly missing her completely, bounce off the door frame next to her, and then head back towards Steve hitting the bully in the back of the head and sending him crashing to the floor with a groan. Seeing how he didn't just bean the girl he likes in the face with a fast traveling dodgeball Naruto lets out a sigh of relief.
(Locker Rooms After Class)
The two friends were changing back into their normal clothes when Naruto let out a sigh of relief "I have no idea how that ball missed Claire I am just glad it did." he says thankful that he missed Claire.
"Yeah super weird how the ball suddenly curved" Toby says as he manages to put on his socks and shoes before hearing his phone beeping causing him to look at it and his eyes to widen "Whoa I earned a windbreaker!" he shouts out showing Naruto the app on his phone cataloging his points from the chubby tracker.
Seeing this Naruto's eyes widened in realization "Tobes do you know what this means!" he asks with a wide grin.
"Well yeah if it's not too warm and not too cold I have the perfect cover-up to look awesome in!" Toby says with a share as he does a little dance
"No…okay yes technically that's true but that's not what I am talking about. One of the goblins snatched your chubby tracker and had it on him! We can follow the signal straight to their den!" Naruto points out as he presses a button on Toby's phone causing it to bring up a GPS locator for the hubby tracker.
"Oh yeah I totally forgot my chubby tracker had the GPS locator add-on feature…But Naruto can't we at least wait like a day or two I am getting some many points!" Toby whines out before seeing the deadpan look the blonde his giving him, causing the teen to sigh "Fine fine you win" he says in defeat.
(Later that night)
The two friends were riding their bikes down the road following the GPS signal of Toby's chubby tracker "Shouldn't we tell Binky and Arrgh" Toby remarks as he winces from goring over a bump and landing harshly on his seat as a result.
"No time Tobes, by the time we got down to Trollmarket, the chubby tracker battery could die resulting in us losing our chance at finding the Goblin den" Naruto points out as he glances down at Toby's phone in his hand before turning down another street "Besides were only doing some recon before reporting back what we find to Blinky and Arrgh no big dea" he adds with a grin.
After a few more minutes of biking they suddenly stop when the chubby tracker signal stops at a certain building. Looking up, the two friends find themselves in front of the museum much to their shock "Hey look over there!" Toby says pointing towards the roof of the building where several Goblins are seen crawling into the building through the museum's cathedral dome.
"Okay we have found their den, let's go tell Blinky and Arrgh" Naruto says as he makes to leave only to be stopped by Toby grabbing his shoulder.
"Naruto look!" the rotund boy says, causing Naruto to turn around and his eyes to widen at what he sees, which is Ms Nomura walking into the museum unaware of the goblins entering it. "She has no idea the building is infested. At any moment the giblins could strike or worse…lay eggs in her ears!" the teen rambles on.
"Okay seriously Toby no more sci-fi horror movies for you after this I mean really what the heck!? Secondly we need to get her out of their asap without her finding out about the goblins now come on" Naruto says with a look of utter bafflement on his face before shaking his head and rushing off towards the museum entrance with Toby following behind him. However upon reaching the door to the building they find it locked "Crap it's locked we need to find another way in" the blonde says running around to the side of the building with Toby right behind him.
Reaching the side of the building Naruto spots one of the museum's windows and pushes on it thus opening it and revealing it wasn't locked. However as he goes to climb through the window he is stopped by Toby tugging on his shirt "This is breaking and entering!" Toby whispers out.
"No it's technically breaking and rescuing…Now after we get Ms Nomura out to safety, go get Blinky and Arrgh and come back to kill all the goblins THEN it would be breaking and entering" Naruto points out with a cheeky grin before climbing in through the window. Toby follows behind him and briefly gets stuck in the window before managing to pull himself free and landing on the floor with a quiet grunt before getting to his feet.
Looking around at the darkened halfway Toby shudders a bit "Geez this place gives me the creeps with the lights out. It was way better when you could see the neanderthals" he says creeped out by how dark and almost oppressive the building seemed now.
"You mean Steve?" Naruto jokes with a slight grin and gets a quiet chuckle from Toby as they start walking through the building unaware that above them attached to the ceiling in a gooey sort of cocoon a bunch of Goblins slept. As the two walk down the halls looking for Ms Nomura they have no luck causing Naruto to quietly curse "Damn this is taking to long, Toby you quietly scope around this area I am going to make a quick pass by Ms Nomura's office to see if she is there. If you see anything just hide as I will be back in a couple minutes tops" he says get a nervous nod from Toby before the blonde quietly yet quickly heads off in the direction of the woman's office.
Toby resumes slowly and quietly walking down the halls keeping an eye out for any goblins and Ms Nomura. Turning a corner he sees a light on and hears classical music playing so he goes closer to investigate. Upon getting closer he sees Ms Nomura pulling a ring-shaped rock with green gemstones sticking out of it from a box with a smile on her face. Seeing that he found the woman Toby goes to approach her when she walks out of sight and he sees her shadow suddenly changes. The teen stops in his tracks and hides behind a pillar when the woman reappears only her form having changed to that of a dark pinked skinned lanky troll with green eyes.
However before Toby could process what he just saw or the fear from it Naruto reappears next to him "Ms Nomura wasn't in her office have you seen her?" he asks quietly only for Toby to stammer heavily "Dude chill out your going to wake the goblins wherever they are" the blonde says unaware that his statement was true given how one of the sleeping goblins smelled the ear and woke up.
"Her face…its so ugly" Toby manages to get out in between his stammers.
Hearing this Naruto sweat drops "Okay that's pretty rude Tobes. I mean so she isn't your type, no big deal, that doesn't mean you can just call her ugly" he says, a little annoyed by his friend insulting the woman who he considered a friend. However before Toby can reply Naruto spots a goblin sniffing about and pulls the rotund teen to the other side of the hall behind another pillar out of sight from the creature.
"No, I saw her face! It wasn't natural! She's like some kind of troll!" Toby frantically whispers in a panic.
"Toby enough!" Naruto harshly whispers "This isn't the time to be making jokes about how you think Ms Nomura is ugly or something" he adds before the two press their backs up against the pillar to further get out of sight as the goblin approaches. However luckily for them the goblin passes by making them think they evaded it. Unluckily for the two however it was at that time that Toby's phone decided to beep with a status update from his chubby tracker "Seriously Tobes turn it off!" Naruto quickly whispers.
"I'm trying! On the bright side I won the cooler!" Toby whispers back before gulping as he hears soft cackling and the two look up and in Naruto's case behind him to see the pink colored troll approaching from behind the blonde.
"I thought I smelled the hormonal stink of teenage human flesh" the troll says while internally Nomura was hoping that Naruto hadn't seen her transform and berating herself for being so careless with said transformation. Luckily for the changeling her fears seemed to be put to rest by how Naruto and Toby let out a scream of fright before running away and stumbling through a curtain into a room with what appeared to be an exhibit centering around a bridge that was still under construction. Mentally letting out a sigh of relief Nomura decided to go along with her act of not knowing who the teens were "But I have to say a human Trollhunter…That's a flavor I have never tasted before" she says with a hiss and lick of her lips as she follows after the two.
"Okay lady I am so not interested in you sexually so the flirting is definitely not appreciated" Naruto says with a grimace actually causing Nomura to falter in her step for a moment as she couldn't believe what he just said "And secondly, let's see how you like the taste of Daylight!" he says pulling out the amulet which glows before his armor forms around him and his sword Daylight appears in his hand.
"Ooh good one buddy!" Toby says with a bit of his cheer at the blondes quip.
Naruto swings daylight down in and overhead strike aiming to cleave the troll woman in two only to be shocked as she catches it between her palms stopping him mid-swing as she lets out a cackle "Okay not going to lie…that is both totally cool and impressive…also how did you do that?" the blonde remarks blinking a few times to make sure he actually saw that right as she was a troll that was seemingly holding pure daylight between her hands and not being turned to stone from it..
"Why thank you and as for how I did it that's very simple, it's because I am special and what's going to kill you!" Nomura says getting into her act as she pushes the sword to the side and starts slashing at Naruto forcing him to dodge before he retaliates with several swings at her. The changeling proceeds to dodge the strikes seemingly effortlessly while actually thinking 'Hmm his swordsmanship is improving nicely as I am having to actually make an effort to dodge several of these swings'.
Toby attempts to rush in and help in some way only for a goblin to jump down in front of him and upon seeing what is around said creatures neck the boy's eyes narrow "You…GIVE IT BACK!" he yells out before tackling the goblin as the two begin to wrestle with Toby trying to pry the chubby tracker off from around the goblins neck as he yells "THOSE POINTS ARE MINE!"
Nomura meanwhile sweeps Naruto's legs out from him sending him falling to the floor only for him to lash out with a swing as he falls causing her to chuckle thinking he missed only to hiss in pain before she reaches up and notices a small slash on her cheek causing her eyes to narrow "You will die for that!" She hisses out before reaching behind her back and pull out a pair of curved swords that start glowing orange and vaguely resemble an Egyptian Kopesh sword in shape.
"Okay ew I don't even wanna know where you were keeping those!" Naruto remarks with a grimace as he gets back to his feet and takes a defensive stance, having not seen the female troll carrying them in a holster or anything.
Hearing his remark Nomura internally sweatdrops as she hisses "Oh you little pervert, didn't you mother ever teach you to keep your mind out of the gutter!" she remarks before dashing towards him and unleashing a flurry of strikes that he struggles a bit to block. Naruto grimaces as he is pushed back and has trouble blocking all of his opponents attacks, some of which get past his defenses as shown by the sparks that fly off his armor from glancing blows. The teen lets out a grunt after a partially strong strike breaks his guard leaving him open to the follow up. However instead of hitting him with her other sword Nomura spins around and sends him flying with a kick to his chest.
The blonde slams into the wall dazed for a moment while seeing this Nomura leaps up onto some scaffolding before then leaping up onto a ledge and letting out a yell as she leaps into the air spinning around like a cyclone with her blades out heading in Naruto's direction. Said teen sharks the daze off and lets out a yell as he gets up and charges at the descending troll as the two lock blades once more with Naruto once again having to go on teh defensive to keep up with Nomura's rapid slashes.
Nomuara suddenly stops her assault and lets out a yell as her long black hair is suddenly pulled from behind by Toby who is still wrestling with the goblin on the ground. Seeing this she kicks the teen freeing herself from his grip before having to go on the defensive as Naruto starts slashing at her for a change, seizing the chance to go on offense. However the blonde's offensive assault doesn't last very long as Nomura manages to catch his sword between hers in a 'X'-formation resulting in a bladelock between the two as sparks shower to the floor from the magical blades.
Seeing several tapestries behind the female troll Naruto gets an idea and lets his guard down just slightly allowing Nomura to break the bladelock in her favor forcing him to dive to the side past her to avoid her attack. Turning back to her Naruto slowly starts backing up towards the tapestries before lunging at her with an overhead slash that Nomura dodges before kicking him into one of said banners causing it to fall to the ground covering his form. Getting out from under the tapestry Naruto notices how the woman has stepped onto it and how behind her Toby has succeeded in prying his chubby tracker off the goblin and sent said creature flying onto the end of the banner behind the troll.
"I must admit this has been quite fun though now it's time for you to join the exhibits in this museum and become history as not even that fancy armor will save you now!" Nomura says with a grin as she raises her swords as if she was about to kill Naruto.
However seeing this Naruto just smirks as he remembers what Blinky said about fear and arrogance "Careful now arrogance gets you killed!" he yells out as he grabs the end of the tapestry and pulls it, making Nomura lose her balance and start falling to the ground.
As she falls the woman gains a surprised look on her face as she turns to see herself falling towards the goblin "Oh you little…" she says while thinking 'Heh just like your mother' remembering how Kushina had once pulled a similar trick on her in the past. Nomura then lands on the goblin crushing it to death, splattering herself in its gooey remains just in time for the other goblins to arrive and see this.
One of the goblins growls as he grabs a nearby marker and marks his face with a fake mustache "Waka Chaka!" he roars out with the other goblins echoing him.
"Oh don't you Waka Chaka me you little green bastards! Know your place!" Nomura yells out brandishing her weapons before the goblins let out another yell and start swarming her attempting to avenge their slain member. Nomura roars as she fights back, slicing and dicing the attacking creatures.
Seeing their chance Naruto and Toby decide to use this opportunity to flee but not before Toby snaps a picture of the female troll as she continues to fight off her attackers. The two quickly ran back to the museum entrance with Naruto's armor vanishing during the run and exited the building. Grabbing their bikes and getting on them they rapidly pedaled away from the building "Holy,-I just–How–Her Face?" Toby stammered out in shock from the encounter.
"Toby I have no idea what you are saying" Naruto says as they enter the downtown area of Arkadia before turning onto the road that leads into the suburb section of the town where their houses are.
"Ms Nomura is that thing!" Toby yells out, managing to finally stop stammering.
"Toby there is no way that Ms Nomura is that female Troll I fought" Naruto says with a shake of his head finding the idea that the woman and female troll were one in the same.
"I saw her transform Naruto!" Toby shouts back at his friend.
"Did you actually see her transform…Like she was completely visible when said transformation took place?" Naruto asks with a sigh as the whole thing just didn't make sense to him.
"Well no…" Toby admits with a slightly downcast look.
"See there you go! Maybe it was a trick of the light and you thought you saw Ms. Nomura transform, when it was just that female troll thing coming into the light. Look I'm not saying you're absolutely wrong Tobes it's just that the whole thing is a bit of a stretch. I mean Ms Nomura has been around me for a while now, if and I mean IF she is somehow the same troll I fought tonight when why wouldn't she have attacked me any of those times?" Naruto says with a shake of his head explaining things out for his friend. As the two turn on to the street that connects the one that their houses are on, Naruto's eyes narrow a bit "Personally I am more interested in that bridge that was under construction where I fought the troll. I only got a brief look at it when we entered but I am positive it had troll markings on it which can't be a good thing" he says as the possibility of there being something related to Troll in the possession of humans was giving him a bad feeling.
Just as the two were about to turn onto their street they hear police sirens and turn to look back and see a police car with its lights on pulling up to them. The car suddenly stops and a cop gets out narrowing his gaze at the two boys "Hands up!" he barks out. The sudden order shocks the two causing them to comply with the order before the officer suddenly snaps "On the ground now" so they get to their knees before lying on the ground.
"What did we do?" Toby asks in a worried tone only to be ignored.
The cop then grabs his radio and presses the button on it "Dispatch I have the teens matching the description from the Museum Break-in and am bringing them in now" he says into the radio before looking at the two teens on the ground "You two are coming with me" he says before pulling out two pairs of handcuffs.
Seeing the handcuffs Toby starts whimpering while Naruto just sighs "Yeah kinding wishing that troll lady killed me tonight…because mom's freakout is going to make fighting her pale in comparison" he mutters to himself as the cop handcuffs the two boys and puts them in the back of his police car before heading towards the police station.

End Author Note: Well there is chapter 2 and hope you all enjoy it. One thing I would like to point out is in regards to Naruto's sword. Now when I call it Daylight I am not saying its actual daylight as in you know rays of sunlight ect. I am calling the sword by its actual name.
The funny thing however is that according to Trollhunter/Tales of Arcadia Lore the sword IS actually Daylight as in its literally daylight magically compressed into a physical sword hence why its able to kill Trolls, Goblins, and so on. Now that's not to say that actual normal blades or swords can't kill Trolls, Goblins, ect as well just that it's more difficult for a number of reason…stone skin being a big one…Just that Daylight the sword has a much easier time slicing through the tough skin combined with its magical properties make it more efficient.
