Christmas with Sibella, and Dracula. (Chapter 21)
(Sibella's P.O.V.)
I flew home as fast, as my wings could carry me. My Dad was waiting for me, and had the tree lit up and everything. It was a blood red tree decorated with red, purple, and light blue lights. On the top of the tree was a beautiful woman holding a small bat. I wore my new red dress that Coach Rogers had got me.
"Sibella," My Dad called more me opening his arms wide for a hug. I ran over to him, and leapt into his arms. He swung me around, and held me their for a second. "It is so nice to see you here, Sibella."
"You too, Daddy." I flashed him a fanged smile.
"How was the secret Santa this year?" Dracula asked.
"Fangtastic, Daddy. Coach Rogers got me this dress, and a cape just like yours." I beamed with excitement.
Dracula laughed. "Really? He did, that is positively stunning my dear. Let me see your cape."
I pulled it out of my bag, and held it up for him.
"Let me help you put that on," Dracula began taking the cape from me, "Hold up your hair." I did, as he asked holding my long purple hair against my head. He tied the cape around my neck, and released it letting it flow down around my body. I spun around, and my cape did the same. It felt natural, like it was a part of me.
"How does it look?" I asked.
"Fangtastic!" Dracula exclaimed stealing my catch phrase. I burst out in a fit of laughs, and jumped up floating near the top of the tree. I turned into a bat, noticing that the back of my wings were now black like my cape.
I made pleased noises before turning back. My hair, cape, and dress flowed down around me like magic. "So, Daddy." I purred.
"I have something for you," Dracula stated. "I will give it to you after our Midnight flight."
"Is it Midnight already?" I asked excitedly.
My Dad nodded, before changing in a flash of light. "Come on, Sibella. Let's take our flight it's almost Christmas."
We flew along Santa, and then around the house. We ate cookies, and drank a "special" smoothie. I went through the chimney, and landed by the tree. My Dad appeared behind me, holding out a small box wrapped in light purple wrapping paper decorated with small silver snowflakes.
"Open it," My Dad said looking at me expectantly.
I ripped open that wrapping paper revealing a small velvet box. I opened it to reveal a delicate heart shaped necklace. "It was your Mothers," Dracula said. "Open it up."
It was a locket that held a bat family picture of all of us. I was just a fledgling, and my mom looked so pleased to be with me, and my Dad. "I love it," I stated.
"She would have wanted you to have that," Dracula stated.
I ran to him, and wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you so much..." I was nearly in tears. He released me from his arms, and patted me on the back.
"She would be so proud of you, Sibella. You are just like me, and look just like your mother," Dracula admitted. "In the morning we will have a few more presents." He put the necklace on me. It hung loosely around my neck. "Fly up to your room now, and sleep a bit. We have a busy day in the morning."
"Am I going back to Grimwood's?" I asked.
"Yes, Miss Grimwood wants you home," Dracula answered.
