beccalovesbumblebee- LATE CHRISTMAS UPDATE!
Christmas with Tanis, and her Mummy Daddy (Chapter 22)
(Tanis' P.O.V.)
Coach Rogers' van pulled up to my Mummy's hideaway. I was in the back next to Elsa, Winnie, and inbetween the Doo's. Dani was in the front with Shaggy, who seemed mellow even though Dani was blasting loud music. I tried to adjust the bow on my head, but as I reached for it Elsa adjusted it for me. "There you go, Tanis. You're ready to see your, Daddy."
Coach Rogers pulled into my driveway, and the door slid open. I gave Elsa, a hug before climbing out of the red van. "Merry Christmas, Elsie," I muttered excitedly.
"Merry Christmas, Tanis," Elsa exclaimed.
"Goodbye, guys. Merry Christmas," I yelled before bounding away towards my house. I made it to my house, before the van pulled away. Knocking on the door as loud as I could, and hoping that my Mummy Daddy wasn't in his coffin. The door flung open, and there stood my Daddy looking around for who knocked on the door.
"Daddy," I exclaimed getting his attention.
"Tanis," He said scooping me into his arms. "I am so glad you are here."
"It's almost Christmas, Mummy Daddy," I said. He carried me into the living room.
The tree was set up, and twinkling with white lights. It was a green tree wrapped slightly with tape that resembled mine. On the top of the tree next to the star was a picture of our family. It was a picture of me, my Mummy Daddy, and my Mummy. It was a happy picture, and I was only a baby in my first wrapping. That was the year that they gave me my first bow.
He set me down, and started the fire. I sat with him by the fire. Our stockings were hung on the mantel, and we waited for Santa Clause. My Daddy handed me a red bow that had a small silver heart on it. I held it in my hands, and felt the soft fabric. My Mummy Daddy took out my pink bow, and put the red bow in its place.
We opened our stockings in the morning. My Dad also gave me a new set of dolls. There was candy for the other girls. I watched as my Dad pulled the stuff I made him out of his stocking. He loved the snowman ornament, and the tape warmer I made to warm his wrapping before he changes it.
We sat by the fire, and my Daddy and I played with my dolls.
"So are we going to walk back to Grimwood's?" I asked
"Yes, it is a tradition isn't it?" My Mummy Daddy asked.
I nodded. I opened the door, and watched as the snow fall around me covering the ground, and trees with a white blanket.
