One of the Ghouls

B- So here we go, I kinda lost most of the plans for this side story so this is my attempt to tie it up as best as I can and bring this story to a close. I do not own Scooby-Doo or Danny Phantom. Thank you all for going on this journey with me.

Chapter 29

The group sped out of the Grimwood house and took the Fenton Specter Speeder to the location of the wedding. I didn't have much of a plan besides talking to Cornell Calloway, reasoning with him might be our only chance to save both him and Miss Grimwood. Tug sat next to me holding my hand while the others murmured their own concerns at the impending reveal to a bunch of civilians.

"What is our plan?" Sibella questioned.

"The boys and I are going in, you guys stay back and let us handle it," Tug answered knowing how dangerous it would be for their friends to be seen by the wedding party.

"No, the shock of monsters showing up might be enough to snap him out of that spell," I responded while I landed the speeder and got out quickly.

Cornell Calloway and the witch were at the end of the aisle ready to exchange vows, well at least they were until the door slammed open and the groups of students stepped in. James looked at us and nearly fell over in shock. "You children shouldn't be here," he shouted causing the guests to look at the group of us in shock.

Many of the Calloway family stood up moving away in fear from the monsters. Cornell C walked towards his students and ushered them into the hallway, leaving his bride at the altar. "What are you doing here? Miss Grimwood was supposed to run you through your drills today," He spoke to Tug especially knowing the blonde acted as a leader of the cadets.

"Miss Grimwood is in trouble. We need you to come back to the school with us to help her," I jumped in attempting to get him out of there before the witch came back for him.

"I don't know if you noticed Dani, but I am getting married at the moment," James responded. As if she sensed where the conversation went his bride appeared.

"Is there a problem James?" She asked in a sickly sweet tone.

Cornell Calloway's demeanor changed immediately. "No, I'm coming back right now love."

Sibella turned into a bat and flew at the woman trying to distract the witch. I grabbed Cornell C's hand trying to grab his attention and keep him with them. "I read your letter, you don't love this woman, you love Miss Grimwood. She loves you too but I think she knew your family would never accept her and that you deserved better," I admitted while James Calloway listened to me intently.

The witch slapped Sibella out of her face the purple bat falling onto the ground. She got inbetween me and Cornell Calloway pushing me away. "Go away little ghost child. I will kill all of you if you don't," she threatened.

"Bring it on, we beat a witch once together already," Winnie howled.

In response I was lifted from the ground and could barely breathe. "You need to remember everything, Rose saving you and everything about the monsters. Cornell, you accepted monsters then see through her spell now," I gasped out.

"Let Dani go," James commanded. "We are not getting married, I need to find Rose. I love her." Everything began coming back to him, no this felt wrong, the beautiful person he saw before was gone and now a monster stood in her place.

"I found you." Miss Grimwood popped into the room, hitting the other witch with a spell. "No one hurts my students," she growled. The other witch sensed she had lost and decided to cut her losses and run.

Cornell Calloway went to call everything off while Miss Grimwood took the children outside, zapping the Speeder back to the house before sending the children home. James joined her and the two of them returned to their respective schools.

Before any of the girls could get any deeper into her business Miss Grimwood sent them back to Amity Park to enjoy the remainder of their summer off. The woman then began cleaning up the house which was in shamble, worse than usual.

The conversation the boys were having with Cornell Calloway seemed just as messy as the Grimwood house. Tug and Jamal were questioning their headmaster's motives. "After all of this you still don't have it in you to tell Miss Grimwood that you love her?" Tug questioned pointedly.

"There are a lot of things you don't understand yet Tug," Cornell Calloway sighed hoping his cadets would let it go.

"Do you love her?" Cadet Baxter spoke up meekly.

"Yes, I have for a very long time," James answered.

"Then why waste time being alone when you two could be together?" Grunt grilled him further.

"Go to bed boys!" Cornell Calloway barked and each of the boys marched reluctantly to the barracks to get in bed.

Everything they said sank in and James did not lie to them, the person he loved most in the world was and probably always be Rosemary Grimwood. James moved without thinking, slipping through the hedge of the house next door and stood at the door. The man just barely tapped on the cool surface of the door, when Miss Grimwood opened it.

"Cornell Calloway, what brings you over here?" Rosemary grinned up at him.

"I just thought I would check up on you, it seems that we've both been through a lot today." He tugged on his collar shirt nervously.

"That's the understatement of the year," I whispered to myself from where I eavesdropped, watching this whole thing unfold before me.

"Yeah, how are you holding up? Being under a love spell like that can really take it out of a person," Miss Grimwood stated concern obvious in her tone, "Come sit down and I'll get you some of my tea. This an old brew Miss Wormwood used to give all the girls after taking any kind of potion."

"It's not anything weird is it?"

Grimwood shook her head. "It is just something to help you recouparate."

"Rose," Cornell Calloway called just as Miss Grimwood turned away from him, "I came over to tell you something I should have said to you a long time ago." Rose urged him on placing a cup of tea in front of him and taking the seat across from him. "Everything happening today has caused me to remember a lot of things, especially how close we used to be… I forgot how I felt trying to please my family and now I realize I can't do that to myself. What I am trying to say is that I love you," Cornell Calloway rambled and Miss Grimwood looked at him in pure shocked.

"I liked you from the moment we met but I didn't know I loved you until the night of the ball. The fact you could accept monsters as if we were normal girls showed me there was hope for us in the future," Rosemary responded. "When you told, me you were getting married, part of me wanted to tell you the truth but I couldn't do that to you."

"So Rose, would you do me the honor of being my date for the next ball?" James asked getting up from the table and walking towards Grimwood.

"We don't throw balls anymore," Grimwood laughed.

"Nonsense. All we need is a little music and each other." Cornell Calloway motioned for the floating hand to start up the record player. When he reached for her hand Miss Grimwood allowed him to take her from her seat and into his arms. James Calloway lead her like he did when they were teenagers, but this time they flowed in unison instead of fighting over who would lead. "I can't promise you it'll be easy Grimwood but I want to see where the road takes us, would you honor me with the chance to take you out on a date?"

"Of course," Rose responded a slight flush on her cheeks.

I got out of there quickly before Miss Grimwood busted me, I went to back to Danny's house to tell the girls that all was good at the schools and that the teachers would be alright.
