Thank you for reviewing my story. I really appreciate it.

I don't own Bones.

Intrigued with Brennan's findings, Hector and Pat stood next to the tables as Brennan presented her findings. She'd examined all seven skeletons found in the caves and three of the skeletons found buried under the floors of the houses. The houses were still being excavated, but Brennan and Booth were due to leave the next day; so she was presenting her findings before she left.

His hands behind his back, Pat leaned over one of the males found in the cave and sighed, "So they were all murdered. It seems very unsatisfactory that we'll never find out why and by whom."

Shrugging her shoulders, Brennan responded, "At least they were found and once the University is finished with the dig they can be properly interred. Whoever they were, they deserve to be buried properly."

Hector nodded his head in agreement, "That's true. The University promised to bury all the bodies we found on this site in proper graves out of respect for the local population's beliefs. Once we've collected as much data as possible we'll bury them here in the city. The locals demanded that their ancestors not be turned into museum displays and we don't have a problem with that. We will keep our promise."

Amused, Pat shook his head, "I've never really done that before, but times are changing. No one wants to see great grandmother displayed for tourists in a museum and I suppose I understand. The locals plan to do the upkeep on the cemetery once all of the bones have been reburied."

Standing near the tent entrance, Booth watched his partner move from one set of bones to the next explaining what she'd found out about them. The interesting thing he'd observed was that all seven victims from the cave had defensive wounds on their hands and arms, so it was clear that they had fought with their attacker for their lives before being murdered. For some reason he couldn't explain, he was proud that all seven victims had tried to defend themselves and felt sad that they had failed. He hoped that the murderer had been caught and executed, but he knew they would never know if that was true or not.

Her presentation finished, Brennan removed her gloves for the last time and smiled, "This has been a very interesting dig. I didn't expect to find victims of murder, but each dig is different and they all usually come with surprises."

Pleased with Brennan's work, Hector reached out to shake Brennan's hand. Pumping it up and down gently, he smiled, "I want to thank you for coming to this dig and working for us, Temperance. Your expertise was greatly appreciated."

Glancing at Booth, Brennan smiled, "I think Booth and I won't forget this dig anytime soon."

His hand rubbing the back of his head, Booth laughed, "No kidding."

Finally on the way home, Booth leaned back in his seat and looked around the first class cabin. "I don't know why I ever put up with flying couch. First class is the way to travel."

Sipping a glass of juice, Brennan smiled, "I definitely like first class too." Placing her glass down, Brennan placed her hand on her husband's arm, "I'm sorry that you were injured while we were on the dig, Booth. I wanted you to enjoy your experience and . . ."

His hand seeking her hand, Booth shook his head, "Stop Bones. You have nothing to apologize for. I know digs can be dangerous that's why I volunteered to be your bodyguard. I wasn't happy about being hit on the head, but all in all, I had a lot of fun and I learned a lot about what you do. I think your job is pretty cool." Kissing her lightly on the lips, Booth smiled, "Like Parker, I believe you're pretty cool."

A blush staining her cheeks, Brennan glanced at Booth's hand clasping her hand and then back at his handsome face, "Thank you. I think you're very cool too."

Kissing her again, Booth nodded his head, "Yeah, we are pretty cool. Who else do you know would leave their jobs as crime fighters and end up working on a crime scene in another country?"

Relieved that Booth did have fun, Brennan returned his kiss, "It's a shame we don't do that anymore, but we have important jobs and we do them very well."

Leaning back against his seat, Booth sighed, "I just hope that Hodgins didn't blow the Jeffersonian up while we were gone. I like my job."

Snorting, Brennan leaned back against her seat and closed her eyes, "You're very amusing Booth."

"Yeah, let's hope that really is a joke." Closing his eyes, Booth sighed, "I hope Lester didn't let any more bodies be buried in the rose garden either. I don't want to go through that again."

Arriving back in Washington D.C., Booth and Brennan were pleased to find that the District was a pleasant 65 degrees and not a bit of snow in sight. "Well, thank God for that. Let's hope that spring shows up early."

Puzzled, Brennan turned to look at Booth as he drove them out of the long term parking lot at the airport, "Spring begins on March 20th, Booth. It won't come earlier."

Amused, Booth flashed a smile at Brennan, "Yeah, I know. I was just doing some wishful thinking. I know it's about three weeks away. I'm just hoping that the snow is done for the season that's all."

Pulling her phone from her purse, Brennan called Angela to let her know that they were back in town. "Angela we're back in D.C. We're on the way home and should be there in about forty minutes."

Oh, Sweetie, I'm glad you're back. I really missed you. Did you have fun?

Pleased to hear Angela's voice, Brennan replied, "The dig was very successful. Booth seemed to enjoy himself even though he was attacked by a grave robber and received a concussion."

What? Oh poor Booth. Is he okay?

Glancing at her husband, Brennan smiled, "Yes, he's fine."

Well, you'll have to tell me all about it when I see you. Oh, before I forget to tell you, Heather Taffet was murdered while you were gone. Someone shot her while she was being transferred to court for a hearing.

Astonished, Brennan turned to gaze at Booth, "Did they catch who did it yet?"

No Sweetie. It's a good thing Booth was in Mexico when it happened or he'd be a primary suspect. Cam did the autopsy but Honey, I have to say it was almost pointless. Someone shot her in the head from a long distance and her head disintegrated. Cam spent quite awhile looking for all the parts of Taffet's head so Clark could put it back together.

"I'll be in to work tomorrow, Angela." Ending the call, Brennan turned to look at Booth, "Taffet is dead. She was assassinated by someone while she was being taken to court."

Disgusted, Booth shook his head, "Damn it. I wanted her to be executed by the state. I planned to be there as a witness." Hitting his steering wheel, he seethed, "Fuck my luck."

Her hand resting on Booth's knee, Brennan responded, "At least you were out of the country. If you had been here when it happened you'd be at the top of their suspect list."

Growing a little pale, Booth sighed, "Okay, I take that back. My luck is pretty damn good."

Ooooooooooooooooooooooo

Is this still interesting?
