++++++ OMG I so apologize about the ridiculously long absence. When TWD finished, I kinda lost my muse for this but recently got it back so I will be updating as much as I can considering my husband and I have a baby on the way. I will be building up to the whole prison battle, so please do tell me how you think you would like it to go and who PJ will end up with when they all get separated from each other.
A - Carl and Rick
B - Michonne
C - Beth, Daryl, Ebony and Jade
D - Maggie, Bob and Sasha
E - Glenn and Tara
F - Carol, Tyreese, Judith, Mika and Lizzie
Also - who would hate me if I killed Lucas?
Think about it.

Sixty-Two
Rick and I had just finished having a little us time underneath the covers when someone shouted just outside our cell. It was Daryl and judging by the sound of his voice, he was in a high state of panic.
I pulled on my jeans and my bra before pulling aside the sheet with a smirk on my face. "S'up?"
Daryl turned away pretty fast, giving himself whiplash in the process. "Damn it, PJ!"
I chuckled. "What's up?"
"Tyreese found something," he answered. "It's…you better come have a look. Both of you. It's bad."
Rick handed me my boots and my shirt as he came up beside me. "What did he find? Is it more sick people?"
Daryl shook his head. "You'd better just come have a look. It's more your thing, Officer Friendly."
I raised an eyebrow at the mention of Merle's old nickname for Rick. "Where?" I asked, putting my gun belt on.
"Cell Block A," Daryl replied.
I whistled, catching Spirit's attention, and the four of us made our way down to the cell blocks. Mention of the sickness had spread through the jail like wildfire, everyone knew about it and they were all afraid to even touch their neighbour or let their kids go out and play. "This is ridiculous," I mumbled.
"They're playing it safe," Rick cautioned me.
"Just reminds me too much of being overseas," I shrugged. "Disease and conditions like this were pretty rampant all the time. We have better hygiene I guess but pretty soon it's gonna be neighbour accusing neighbour of witchcraft or something."
"We'll cross that road when we come to it," Rick assured me. "Trust me."
"Always, Mr Grimes," I smiled before stopping suddenly at the smell of burnt flesh. Than it dawned on me what Tyreese had found. I smell it before I saw the blood on the floor.
Lying in the middle of a tiny solitary confinement courtyard were two burnt bodies. They were charred beyond recognition but immediately I knew it was Karen and David. They were the only ones who had shown signs of being sick. I leant up against the door and sighed. "Jesus, as if we didn't have enough issues and now someone's going around murdering people."
Rick glanced over at Tyreese, going from farmer mode to full on cop mode-it was pretty darn sexy. "You found them like this?"
Tyreese nodded. "I came to see Karen…and I saw the blood on the floor…than I smelled them. Somebody dragged them out here and set them on fire. They killed them and set them on fire." The big man was starting to get increasingly agitated with each accusation. "You're a cop!" he growled at Rick. "You find out who did this and you bring 'em to me! You understand? You bring 'em to me!"
"We'll find out who-" Rick started to assure him.
"I need to say it again?" Tyreese yelled.
"Hey!" I snapped. "Rick says well find out who, Tyreese! We'll find out who!" I knelt down and picked up the gas container. "They were dead before they were set on fire, Rick. I think they were stabbed, not shot-we would have heard it."
Rick sighed. "PJ-can you go and check the fence? See how your brother is doing?"
I raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?" I frowned. Rick stared at me, giving me the 'we'll talk later' look, making me leave the courtyard in a huff. I stormed out of the cell block and headed outside with Spirit tagging after me. On the way, I ran straight into Lucas who was coming back up from the fence.
"You okay, PJ?" Lucas asked, noting the bad mood written all across my face.
I ran my hands through my hair and sighed. "We just found two bodies in cell block A."
Lucas shrugged a little. "Did they die of the illness? Cause that'd be my first guess."
I shook my head. "Ah-no. They were stabbed and then set on fire. It was Karen and David. Tyreese demanded Rick do something about it, when I went to help, he told me to come and check on Matthew at the fence."
Lucas raised an eyebrow. "He kicked you out?"
I growled a little. "Yeah, no freaking idea why. I tell you, I'm fucking sick of him treating me like a freaking glass flower."
"Well you are pregnant," he did shoot back.
"So that's my soul job now?" I snapped. "This pisses me off, one moment he's okay with me being like I was before and the next moment he's treating me like I'm the most fragile thing in the world."
"Maybe it reminds him of Lori," Lucas suggested. "Beth told me everything about before, the farm, all of it, your little baggie of weed and the peacock hair-he gets comfortable with you and then it reminds him of Lori and how he lost her."
"That's some interesting Doctor Phil shit," I grinned, cooling off.
Lucas chuckled. "Why don't you grab your Robin Hood gear and the three of us will go hunting like we used to? See if we can get some food? We'll duck out for a couple days, come back. See if we can find some meds…Woodbury's abandoned…we can try there."
"I could do for a run," I grinned. "Give me a sec, buddy. Spirit, stay with Lucas." I turned and took off back to the cell to get my stuff. The last time I'd been out was when Rick was almost gutted by Clara. It would be nice to get the hell out there without running into some human murderers.
Carl was in our cell when I got there reading one of his comic books. He paused when he saw me getting my stuff together. "PJ-where you going?"
"Lucas and I will be gone a couple days," I answered. "Gonna do a bit of a run, see if we can find anything. Head backwards."
"But what about dad?" Carl questioned.
"If you see your dad," I smiled, "tell him he's an ass. I'll bring you back some comics if I find them." I strapped on my quiver and ruffled up his hair. "Be a good kid, hold the fort, Wolf."
Carl's eyes brightened up at the use of his old nickname. "Yes, PJ!"
I headed for the stairs.
"Hey, PJ?" Carl called out.
"Yeah?" I paused.
"Did you really want me to tell dad he's an ass?" the kid grinned. "Husbands and wives fight all the time. Right?"
I grinned. "We sure do, Wolf. This is me cooling off. Added to the fact I'm a bubbling pot of hormones…we'll talk when I get back."
"Sure," he nodded.
I headed back down the stairs and met Lucas outside. "Ready?"
"Off to grandma's house we go," Lucas grinned.
It felt good to be heading back out with Lucas. Sometimes the prison can get suffocating at the best of times. When I came back, I made myself a mental note to go and talk to Ebony. We'd never gone too far without talking to each other, not since the world ended. I'm pretty sure I was slowly going insane.
But hey, aren't we all?
