++++++ I know it's been forever and a day since I updated but with my pregnancy and high blood pressure issues, I've had to priorities a whole bunch of stuff including my writing. The recent ads on FX for The Walking Dead season 5 have inspired me to get some more chapters in whilst I still can. So whilst I wait for bubs to come I will be adding chapters when I still can. Please enjoy and sorry about the wait.

Please note, I own nothing except my OC's ++++++

Sixty-Six

Pregnancy is tiring.

Honestly if I could I'd just crawl up in bed and just sleep whenever I could but that is not the world that we live in. I glanced over at Judith with a smile on my face as Carol held onto her like she would her own daughter. Discovering that Judith was indeed alive and it was all thanks to Tyreese was the next best thing next to finding Rick alive.

God those blue eyes were Rick's blue eyes…

"She's not a mirage," Sophia teased me as we walked down the train tracks surrounded but thick, dense bushland.

I shook my head. "I was thinking," I replied. "Those eyes…they're Rick's eyes."

"We're gonna find them," Tyreese assured me. After finding Lizzie and Myka with Judith, we found Tyreese coming from the opposite direction. He had been trying to help some other survivors but confessed that he'd been too late to save them. "Probably heading to that Terminus place."

I never expected to hear that word so much. First John had said it and then these survivors had told Tyreese about a sanctuary up the tracks that had to be this Terminus place. It was far too much of a coincidence not to be. "John said follow the tracks north."

Tyreese grunted. "We're taking the word of your psycho brother?"

I shot him a glare. "Well those two guys seemed to agree with him," I scowled as the small group walked passed what was left of the two Tyreese had tried to help. I whistled to the dogs and motioned to Sophia. "We're going to track a head, come on Sophia."

Sophia checked her knife before she nodded.

Sophia and I jogged ahead of the group and followed the tracks.

"I wonder who else made it," Sophia finally spoke as we followed the tracks.

"Michonne," I shrugged, "for sure."

"Ebony-she's too stubborn to die," Sophia joked.

I chuckled. "God I hope she's okay…she's due any day now and the stress of being on the road pregnant at her stage is too much." I sighed. How anyone can be stupid enough to get pregnant at the end of the world is beyond me. Myself included. "Daryl."

"For sure," Sophia laughed. "Too stubborn to die."

I nodded my agreement. "I wonder if Maggie and Beth are okay," I mused. "Gonna miss playing chess with Herschel."

"This is depressing," Sophia declared suddenly. "I wish none of this had never happened. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and find myself staring at my bedroom wall back home and I hear dad yelling a mum because his breakfast isn't ready quick enough."

I snorted. "Your dad sounds like an asshole."

Sophia nodded. "He was. Walker's ate him at the camp in Atlanta."

I twirled an arrow between my fingers as we walked. The dogs were ahead of us sniffing the tracks, ears upright and silence was exactly what we wanted to hear.

"Hey, PJ, what is that?" Sophia frowned, stopping and pointing to the sign ahead of us. It was a fair distance away but we could see it.

I paused and held me hand out for the scope that Sophia always dragged around with her. "Sanctuary for all. Community for all. Those who arrive, survive."

"Terminus?" Sophia suggested.

"Gotta be," I shrugged. "We're probably a few days away from Terminus. We should head back and look for somewhere to hold up for the night. It'll be dark soon. We'll take first shift."

"Yes ma'am," Sophia smiled.

I chuckled and messed up her hair. Almost two years ago I wanted to leave her in the woods-good thing Ebony forced us to take her in, she reminded me of a younger me.

I was the last one to wake up the next morning, sitting up on the hard ground before launching myself into the bushes to throw up whatever was in my stomach.

"You're dead on your feet, PJ," Carol sighed, rubbing my back. "Once we get to Terminus, you can rest up properly."

I chuckled and slumped back on the ground. "Yeah I am tired. But who's to say they'll even let us in."

Carol sighed. "I remember when I was pregnant with Sophia. It'll part, I promise. What you're feeling."

"It better," I groaned.

Carol dug something out of her pocket and handed it to me. "Last of those crackers that Matt made. Thought you could use some."

I took them off her and nibbled on one. They were stale nothing I could do about it. "Thanks Carol."

"Up you get," Carol ordered me. "Myka and I are going to look for some water. Lizzie and Sophia are gonna stay here with you and Sophia. There's a forest fire somewhere around."

I paused and sniffed the air. There was a distinct smell of wood fire and burnt flesh in the air. "Just what we need, walkers that burn."

Carol shook her head. "You say the most encouraging things."

I got up and stretched. Spirit hadn't left me since I handed watch over to Carol and Lizzie. Tyreese was changing Judith's nappy when I followed Carol back. "You okay?" he asked, seemingly concerned.

I shrugged. "Morning sickness, it didn't really seem as bad watching Ebony. But then again, everything seems bad when it's you and not the other guy. How's my girl doing?" I asked, kneeling down in front of Judith. "Hey, Lil' Ass Kicker," I grinned. "Are you good today?"

Judith reached out and grabbed my finger, tugging on it. I stood up with her in my arms and kissed her head. "You need a clean-up, young lady," I smiled.

"We all need a clean-up," Carol smiled. "You guys good?" she asked us.

Sophia nodded. "Jeez mum, we're fine. Go." She waved her mother off like a teenager reading a magazine or chatting to boys. "PJ-can you show me how to strip the gun again?"

"We'll keep an eye out," Tyreese assured me. "Mind if we take your dog?"

I shook my head. "Spirit, go with him, Ollie, stay here."

Spirit trotted off after Tyreese and Ollie yawned as he sat there watching us.

I sat down on a blanket with Judith in my lap and gave her one of the small toys to play with. "Okay, strip it down like you remember," I told her, "whatever you don't get right, don't worry about it. Also, keep your knife out beside you, if you have to defend yourself it's easy to be able to grab and stab. Got it?"

Sophia nodded and started by pulling the clip out and emptying the bullet that was in the chamber.

I kissed Judith's head and let her nibble on my finger as I watched Sophia pull the gun apart. It was quiet, too quiet but with times like these, we had to take solace in them whilst we had them.
