I was driving through an area known as Oakside park. I was looking for the small road that led to the house of my best friend Kate. It was a really nice house with a beautiful view on the mountains. But I didn't arrive here for a good reason. Kate had disappeared and I wanted to figure out what happened. I remember that a while ago she had told me about this really tall man with a black suit and no face. It had apparently been tormenting her since she was a little child. I thought Kate was joking around so I didn't believe it at first. But she kept being serious and said that it was real. After that we didn't really talk about it anymore. But could this being be the reason that Kate had disappeared?
It's impossible that such a thing that she had described could really exist…
I arrived at the small road that led to Kate's house. I turned left to go on the road. But I quickly hit the brake. There was a fallen tree blocking the path. I stepped out of the car. It seemed that I had to walk to the house. I got my car keys and began to walk down the road.
I was strolling on the path and looked around. It was so beautiful here. I was able to see the mountains and forests really well! I smiled. If I were the one living here I would never leave.
In the distance I could see a car parked on the dirt road. "Who's car could that be?" I thought and walked towards it. I knew it wasn't Kate's car, she had a different one. I looked through the window of the vehicle to check if there was somebody in there. Nothing. "How strange…" I began to walk further. Suddenly the sky became so cloudy that it became dark! "What's going on?" I asked myself softly. I became overwhelmed with paranoia. I felt like somebody was watching me. I turned around. Nothing. I could see Kate's house in the distance so I began to run. The feeling of paranoia became worse.
After a minute of running I arrived at the house, stormed inside and closed the front door, not noticing that it was opened before I came in.
