Fin enters the nursery, and approaches the charge nurse who is sitting at the desk.
"You've had a rather eventful day, haven't you?" She questions.
"You have no idea. I need to see the Benson babies."
"I got your phone call. No unauthorized personnel has been in here. We haven't even allowed family members in since you called. You have nothing to worry about."
"I need to see them," he responds to her.
"Okay," she agrees.
She leads him away from the desk. They walk past a couple of rows of babies. She stops, and looks to her left, and then to her right.
"I don't see them," he begins to panic.
"I put them right here fifteen minutes ago."
One of the other nurses is changing a diaper nearby.
"Sarah when you went to break one of the girls on third floor came and got them."
"What girl?"
"Emily."
"Emily? I don't know Emily. Cassie do you know her?"
"No. I don't think she's been here very long."
"Did you see her badge?"
"Yes. I even questioned her about why she came up from the third floor. She said the mother was on the third floor. I checked, she was admitted to a room on third this afternoon."
Fin turns to Sarah, "I need you to get on the phone to security. Tell them to check every bag. Don't let anyone on, or off the premises while we sweep the building."
"We can call a code..."
He cuts her off, "Don't call a code. We can't alert this guy. Okay? Do not announce anything overhead."
He leaves the room in frustration. He races down the hallway, nearly running over someone in a wheelchair in the process. He stands at the elevator, impatiently waiting for the door to open. After five seconds he turns, and heads for the stairs. He races to the third floor. By the time he reaches the last step he is out of breath. He doesn't stop at the nurses station when he reaches the third floor. He slows down as he nears Olivia's room. A nurse calls after him.
"Sir, sir."
He looks up at her as she moves towards him. He continues to move towards the door.
"Sir you can't go in there right now."
"Excuse me?" He stares at the nurse's name badge, "Emily."
"We are in the middle of shift change. No visitors are allowed in the rooms during shift change, okay?"
"Nope, that's not okay," he flashes his badge.
"Sir," she steps between him, and the door.
"I need to get in there. This is an emergency."
"I can assure the you that everything is okay."
"A criminal is on the loose, and..."
"I was just in there, I am certain that he is not in there."
"You are obstructing a criminal investigation."
She rolls her arms, and folds her arms across her chest. She shakes her head, "You can't say that I didn't warn you."
He steps in the room hoping to feel a sense of relief, but he doesn't. His uneasiness grows as he notices that the curtain is pulled.
"Liv?" He calls out.
"Yes?" She responds.
"Are you awake?"
"Why do you sound so out of breath?"
"I bet Nick that I couldn't run up three flights of stairs."
"Can you come back in a few minutes?"
"I wish that I could, but I need to see you."
"You need to see me? Fin I'm fine. I am in the same place you left me."
"Liv," he says standing outside the curtain, "There is something that I have to tell you."
"Okay."
"We found the Hadley brothers."
"Can we talk about this later?"
"No. I don't want to upset you, but no. We found them. One of them is at the precinct right now."
"Where is the other one?"
"He was there."
"Where is he now?"
"We don't know."
"How can you lose a suspect?"
"I didn't."
"Why are you telling me this? I'm not afraid. I am pretty sure that ninja nurse out there isn't going to let anyone in my room. I am surprised that she let you in."
"I may have threatened her."
"Why?"
"Some new details emerged."
"What details?"
"There were others."
"I know that there were other women."
"That he impregnated," he reveals.
"I kind of figured."
He cocks an eyebrow, "You did?"
"Why else did he need a calendar?"
"To know..."
She cuts him off, "He went to work every day. He didn't need a calendar to tell us how long we were there."
"I think he was trying to build an army."
"Why does it matter?"
"Of sons."
"For what purpose?"
"I don't know. He eluded custody before I had the chance to ask."
"Fin why are you here, instead of trying to find him?"
"We found some surviving children."
"I really don't want to talk about this right now."
"Surviving sons. No girls."
"You're think he threw the girls out, or gave them away, or what?"
"Or worse. I know that you have mixed feelings about everything that has happened, but we think he..." he trails off, afraid to say it.
"You think that he disposes of the female babies the way that he disposes of the women he tortures?"
"Yes."
"And you're afraid that he might have somehow found out that I was here?"
"Yes."
"And that he's coming to finish what he started?"
"Pretty much. The nursery nurse told me that someone took the babies out of the nursery. Olivia I..."
She cuts him off, "Are you going to stand on the other side of the curtain all day?"
