A/N: All right so seeing as I have been dead to the internet yet still received 3 submissions for the writing competition and none for the fanart portion, I will announce the victors of the writing contest at the end of the chapter.
Also I am considering starting a verbal reading of DD (or podfic if you will), that will be all told mostly first person from Jet's point of view (seeing as I don't exactly have a voice cast to provide the voices of any of the other characters. Granted if anyone was interested in providing their voices to other characters well we can arrange that…)
Anyways, so sorry this took so long to actually post but here is 54 of Bakugan: Dual Dimensions.
Chapter 54
Mike leaned his back against the wall and let out a long sigh sliding slowly down to the floor. Plopping down and letting his head roll back slightly he stared blankly at the ceiling a moment before closing his eyes.
Jenny, Jewls and Julie had gone off to go find where Jet was, and see how she was doing. Thus Mike was stuck sitting on the floor in a certain masked blond's room to make sure nobody tried to take off Masquerade's mask.
He groaned and opened an eye turning his head to look towards the bedside table, and glaring at the black and purple ball perched there. It was that stupid beast that had gotten him stuck here. He would've been reuniting with Jet after she'd been gone, in their dimension for at least 5 days. But no, he had to be sitting here keeping an eye on Masquerade.
"This is stupid," Mike muttered. "If any nurse came in Hydranoid could just hiss at them and they'd comply." He grumbled resting his head on his left hand.
He would've probably continued to sulk and moan over his situation if his phone hadn't vibrated.
Mike blinked as he reached into his front pockets and fished out his phone, it was an old flip. Flipping it open he brought it to his ear. "Hello?"
"Mike?! Where the hell are you?" Aidan's voice filtered through the phone's speaker making Mike's eyes widen. He'd gotten so caught up with the brawl he'd been dropped in on, Masquerade's collapse he'd forgotten almost about his promise to rub all this being true in Aidan's face. He schooled his features and smirked.
"Oh hello, Aidan. Listen I have some wonderful news for you." He said getting up from where he was sitting.
'What news?' Aidan snapped. 'Your uncle's freaking out! You vanishing on top of Jet and Viki is not helping things!'
"Yup nice to hear from you too." Mike said rolling his eyes as he walked by Masquerade's bed heading towards the window. He was too engrossed in his conversation to notice that Masquerade's hand had twitched. Mike peered out the window.
'Ugh, what's this so called news?! And it better be good.'
Mike grinned as he leaned against the wall looking out at Wardington City. "Here I'll send you a couple of pics." He raised his camera and focused on the recognizable tower of Wardington City and snapped a pic, he moved to the other side of the window and shot another picture.
"Have a look at that and then realize, Newsflash! I'm right you're wrong." Mike said grinning as Aidan's side fell silent.

Aidan Baxter's fingers were flying off the keyboard as he tried to hurry up the uploading from his phone to his laptop. This had to be some trick, there was no way these images were real, and that Mike was in a TV show world. That Jet and Viki were in there as well.
As his phone was uploading the pics Mike had sent him. He was searching for any images of Wardington City. Any image that could prove that Mike had faked them.
He shrank the google image box to take up half the screen to allow for him to see the other 4 pics Mike had sent him. Two of them had two different shots of Wardington Tower and the surrounding area through a white window. The other two were selfies of Mike posing with Wardington Tower, and the last one had two marbles… Wait.
He maximized the last image and his eyes widened. A hydranoid and a bakugan he had never laid eyes on before were floating by his head. They all looked too real to deny them. Add that to Mike had no ability to make an image look that real, so the only conclusion Aidan could come too.
Aidan disconnected his phone from his laptop and raised it to his ear calling Mike back. "Mike?"

Mike frowned as Hydranoid and Hydrogator perched on his shoulders he glanced at Hydrogator who seemed pensive uneasy then he looked at Hydranoid who seemed to be far too smug. "Hey guys, whats up?"
"Well master wanted to let you know we need to have a little chat." Hydranoid hissed in the boy's ear.
Mike frowned. "Your master is still recovering from a concussion, surely he has better things-" A hand grasped his shoulder and he was spun to the left, caught a glimpse of a glass mask and then his back was pressed against the wall.
"Who were you talking to?" Masquerade hissed his hands gripping Mike's shoulder tightly making the brunette wince.
"Aidan, me and Jet's friend back home." Mike said quickly. "Jeez relax-" Masquerade tightened his grip making Mike gasp in pain his phone slipping from his hand. "Seriously! What the hell is your problem!" He said grabbing Masquerade's jacket and pushing him back. "Get off!"
Masquerade didn't release him and instead leaned forwards glaring at him. "And why should I believe that?" He snarled. "You could've been contacting the brawlers about my predicament or,"
It was in that perfect moment that Mike's phone rang. The two stiffened up and glanced towards the object Masquerade frowning.
"That's Aidan again, I'd better-" Masquerade slammed him into the wall and let him slide down to the floor. "Ow! That wasn't necessary!" Mike snapped reaching a hand behind him to rub his aching back as Masquerade grabbed the phone and opened it. Mike's eyes widening. "Um, Masquerade, not a good idea, he's-" Masquerade sent him a glare turning away as he listened to Aidan on the other line.
"Mike, I have to concede defeat on this one," Aidan said a rustling of papers and the rapid clicking and clacking of a keyboard sounding through the speaker of the phone. "I- I've looked at anything and everything and unless you somehow got yourself into a virtual reality thing or something, you are in Wardington."
"I can assure you this isn't some virtual reality thing." Masquerade said into the phone unable to hold back his smirk 'There's more of them,' He mused chuckling slightly. On the floor, Mike's eyes widened. Quickly he pushed himself to his feet and lunged at Masquerade hand reaching out to snag the phone back.
"Give me that!" The Aquos brawler demanded grabbing for the phone. Masquerade edged back keeping the phone pressed to his ear as he waited for the other boy, Aidan he assumed, to respond.
He could hear quick breathing and a thud had sounded earlier signifying the boy had probably jumped to his feet and knocked over his chair in surprise. Masquerade could hear beginnings of stuttered broken words and could almost picture the other boys mouth opening and closing as he struggled to comprehend the reality that he was talking to him.
"Your silence tells me my reputation proceeds me even in your world." Masquerade said with a chuckle. "I'd expected as much when I met Jet and Viki,"
"You shouldn't exist." Aidan said slowly on the other line, "You're an anime character, you're made up, you don't exist." He said rambling now.
Masquerade could only chuckle as the other boy blabbered on the other line. However he had to take a moment away from his pleasure at raking the boy from the other dimension over the coals, Mike was determined to make a nuisance of himself. The Aquos user was rushing at him fist drawn back, Masquerade merely cast him a glance before he kicked the boy in the chest and sent him falling backwards onto the hospital bed with a whomp. It wasn't the thud he'd been hoping for but hopefully the force of his kick would keep Mike down for a few moments more.
"Well I'm sorry to burst your bubble, Aidan," A sharp intake of breath on the other line and Masquerade laughed. Jeez after all that nice stuff, freeing Julie and Jet, working with Jenny, and then getting rescued by the JJ dolls and one of the girls he freed. Masquerade was in desperate need of opportunities to be evil and to try and salvage his very very damaged reputation. "But I am very much real thank you very much, and I am also in the possession of oh, one Viki Long," Masquerade pressed the phone up by his ear, and held up one hand and pretended to tick the brawlers he'd taken from the other dimension off his fingers. "One Jet Raynet," A snarl on the other line. "And also, just got this one, Mike Pasters!" He grinned when he was finished. "But if you're feeling left out I can always arrange for you to come join them of course."
There was silence for a moment then, "You son of a bitch." Which was spoken with such venom Masquerade got shivers. Finally, someone who hated him again. There was a sound of something zipping through the air followed by a crack and then the line went dead. Masquerade frowned as he turned around to see the groaning Mike in the bed rubbing his aching chest. Mike weakly looked up at him as Masquerade looked down at the phone in his hand.
"Hmm I don't think you'll be able to reach that number for a while." Mike sat up quickly before he groaned in pain again wrapping his arms around his stomach. Masquerade snorted and tossed the phone to Mike.
"You-you don't…You don't own…us." Mike rasped out putting his phone in his pocket and coughing once before straightening up. "And besides all you did, is made sure that our friends, and Jet's sister are going to be coming here to kick your ass." He spat one arm still wrapped around his aching chest.
Masquerade grinned folding his arms across his chest and tilting his head.
"I'm looking forward to it."

Aidan panted as he looked at his broken phone. Okay, in hindsight throwing his phone hadn't been the best idea, but he'd just been so. Ugh! Figures that the biggest bastard in the bakugan universe should apparently exist in real life, in some… alternative dimension. Which was actually pretty cool, and he'd love to study all about it.
"But how would I get there?" He wondered as he went over to grab his trash can and moving towards the broken pieces of his phone. "I can't exactly ask the other 3, Mike's contact is only stored in this phone, Jet's not answering still and I don't know Viki's number or if she even has her phone!" He said throwing his hands up in the air.
It was then his laptop dinged. Aidan sighed as he hastily got rid of the broken parts of his phone and set the trash can aside before going over to his laptop. He sat down and inspected the screen looking for whatever notification had caused his laptop to 'notify' him.
Then he saw it, a new e-mail in his inbox.
Curious he opened it.
"To find what you seek, meet me at the top of the Sears Tower."
Aidan blinked, looked up at the e-mail address. "Terradoll ?" He raised an eyebrow. He didn't recognize the handle. But how did they know what he sought? Unnerved he pushed the laptop away with his finger, but that did little to make the creepy message disappear. So he closed the laptop and then hid it away.
He sighed running a hand through his blond hair. This was too much, phone calls from cartoons characters, creepy e-mails that may be in connection to said phone call.
"I can't take this much insanity." He muttered sitting down on his bed. Then disregarding the fact that he wasn't dressed for bed he pulled up the covers and slid under them taking off his glasses and switching off the light as he settled into bed. "So," He said with a yawn. "I'm gonna go to sleep and figure out just how much of this is real, and how much of this is the construct of my overactive mind." He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
As sleep claimed Aidan he failed to notice the window opening a smidge and a burst of wind flowing in carrying with it a person. They wore a dark forest green cloak with only a pair of jeans and black boots visible beneath it. The hood of the cloak covered the persons face.
The hooded figure bowed their head and began to disappear with this parting words.
"Soon, we'll be together again."

Sooo that's done. And sorry for using your username Terra (twas the best way! I promise)
Now onto the contest:
I received 3 wonderful submissions from Rexdragosaurus, Antex, and S1erra107. So now I will announce the winners.
Keep in mind, that this is nothing personal and I will explain the rankings as best I can.
3rd place: S1erra107 – Bringing Marduk into the DD story with an untitled and yet to be published story. I approve of Viki receiving the spotlight in the beginning, and highly recommend you posting this story (and more of you own works) so that others may enjoy it too. I also liked Masquerade's surprise entrance as Jet's "friend" when John Smith turned Jet down. And I did like that you brought in Marduk and the character from the game. I would love to see you write your own story featuring John Smith and Marduk at some point in the future, it could be entertaining.
Anyways, congratulations on 3rd place, your prize is you get to say the disclaimer! And once you post it, it'll go in my fanworks for DD section on my profile. Great Job!
Now onto 2nd place!
2nd place- Rexdragosaurus – Rex, I really did love your crossover work, and I'm dying to see you actually publish that as a megacrossover with your own amazing characters. As to be expected the piece was well written and an interesting intro to what will undoubtedly be an amazing story with the cast of characters you've picked out (Iron Man, Skulduggery Pleasant, Sherlock, and a few others I can't recall at the top of my head). And knowing your ability to craft great characters to go alongside them, I can't wait to see what you will come up with in regards to them.
For your prize, you get to say the disclaimer, have your fanwork as part of my DD section on my profile, and of course a cameo in my story. Which I will work to fit in with as few tweaks as possible.
And now we have 1st place.
1st place- Antex – With Bakugan: Dual Dimensions the story of Pierce. I was immensely surprised that your story impressed me as much as it did. You were working with my Docorrians which I had yet to truly delve in depth with and in turn crafted an idea I hadn't even considered. Gratos may or may not be making an appearance at some point in the story. I will admit that your story could benefit from greater description but the core story shines through. And I approve. Because you worked with my three characters who we don't know whats fully going on with yet. You demonstrated Vanessa as someone to be feared, and Pierce to be more ruthless than I'd initially pictured. I look forwards to borrowing some of the ideas you have for Docorrus and its Docorrians when the time comes.
For your prize Antex, you also get to say the disclaimer, have your fanwork as part of my DD section listing on my profile, a cameo in my story, and of course a story request from me.
Thank you so much for participating you guys! I promise the next 6 chapters will be dedicated to you and for the hard work you guys put into your stories.
That's all for now.
Also please leave your reviews below. This is more of a breaking point before everything starts going downhill for everyone.
No one is safe
MWAHAHAHA!
