A/N you know how weird it is to think I'm at 57 chapters now. I mean when I was in the 40's its like. Oh, I'm in the 40's but at the 50's it's like holy crap! Over 50 chapters!
Jet: And unfortunately last chapter I was trying so hard to get back in the swing of things I forgot to have the other 2 winners (now 3 with Breezy's amazing submission of the OC group picture). So here's S1erra107 with the disclaimer for this chapter!
S1erra107: Thank you, Jet. She does not own Bakugan. If she did, there is a 99% chance that Masquerade would have been at that last battle and be kicking butt. But No! The producers let it die!
Jet: Very true, now onto the next chapter!
Chapter 57
Viki sighed adjusting her scarf slightly so its ends were behind her back and not in her way to interfere with her throwing.
"How about we put a no gatecard use rule in play." Spectra said holding up his gatecard. "That way it'll be a battle of the bakugan's power alone." He said.
Viki nodded. "Okay." She said as Fireblick closed up and jumped into her hand, Viki gripping him tightly.
Spectra smirked. "Very good then, Gate Card set!" He shouted tossing his gatecard into the center of the battle field, it expanded with a flash of red light and disappeared into the white world around then. "Now I will not activate that gatecard at all. And if I do I lose by default. Now then," He crossed his arm across his chest and bowed slightly. "I believe it's ladies first?" He said lifting his head to grin at her.
Viki swallowed before she nodded and he face shifted into an expression of determination. "Right!" She palmed Fireblick and then drew her arm back. "Lets do this! Bakugan Brawl!" She shouted as she hurled Fireblick out onto the field. "Rise for battle Pyrus Fireblick."
An explosion of flames heralded Fireblick's arrival. The dragon burst out his wings spread wide green eyes flashing as he opened his mouth and let out a powerful roar that shook the field.
"Ready to battle." Fireblick said glaring at Spectra and Helios as he landed on the ground arms crossed.
'Pyrus Fireblick enters battle at 350 gs.' The bakupod informed them.
Spectra looked at the stats on his gauntlet frowning for a long moment, then his shoulders began to shake.
"Spectra?" Viki ventured, only for her eyes to bug out as the masked pyrus brawler through his head back and burst out laughing.
"hahaha! Are you serious?!" Spectra said clutching his chest as he laughed. "My hyper dragonoid are more powerful than that!"
Viki scowled and Fireblick growled loudly. "Just throw out your bakugan already Spectra." Viki said clenching her fists. Even though she knew that Helios was at 600 gs, that didn't mean Spectra could just laugh in her face. Suddenly she felt envious of Jet, whose Skylord's power level had been higher than Masquerade's hydra and thus high enough to impress the masked man himself. Whereas her Fireblick's g power was laughable to Spectra! It just burned her up.
Spectra snickered. "Are you sure you don't want to just surrender?" He asked his mechanical blue eye gleaming slightly.
"It'll save you of the humiliation of being completely annihilated by me." Helios said with a snort.
"No, now are you gonna fight or what?" Viki demanded.
Spectra snorted as he held up his hand Helios floating into it. "You have guts I'll give you that, this won't take long. Bakugan Brawl! Destroy them Pyrus Viperhelios!" He shouted hurling his bakugan out onto the field.
Helios popped open and appeared in a bright red flash. The hulking dragon lifted his head, spread his wings and roared at Fireblick the force enough to push Blicky back a little.
"Grr." Fireblick growled as he used one wing to shield himself from the force.
'Pyrus Viper Helios at 600 gs'
Spectra smirked and folded his arms across his chest sneering at Viki. "Now that's a power level. Tell me sweetheart?" He leaned forwards and locked eyes with Viki. "Do you have anything that can bring your little Blicky near my Helios's level?" He asked.
"Try to match me, just try," Helios said with a laugh as he spread his arms away from his chest. "Go ahead, I won't even move."
Fireblick growled as he spread his wings and shot at Helios. "I'll show you!" He snarled.
Viki however began to sweat just slightly, because she didn't think she had anything that could crank Blicky's power level up to 600 in one turn. Then she scowled. But she wasn't about to allow Spectra to sweep her and Blicky without a fight!
"Ability Activate! Flaming Storm!" Viki cried as Fireblick flew up high and dove down gaining speed as he flew at Helios fire gathering around his body.
Pyrus Fireblick increase by 150 gs to 500 gs.
"And Fusion Ability Activate! Fire wall!" A wall of flames began to form in front of Fireblick feeding into the flames gathering around his body.
Fireblick at 600 gs
"Take this!" Fireblick said pulling back flames dancing around his wings, and with a harsh flap sent the storm of flames at Helios.
The other dragon merely raised an eyeridge. "Heh," He let the flames hit but didn't even so much as flinch as he tilted his head. "Was that supposed to hurt?" He asked Fireblick.
Fireblick's jaw dropped and his eyes bugged out. "WHAT?!" The pyrus bakugan shouted in shock flying up higher.
Viki's expression darkened. 'Helios is on a totally different level, he's strong enough to tear through both Drago and Hydranoid at this point in time.'
Spectra heaved a sigh. "Well it seems this fight was decided the instant I threw out my all powerful Helios. Now." He held up a card. "Allow me to demonstrate the power of Spectra! The greatest brawler in the universe! Ability Activate!" He shouted slotting the ability into the gauntlet. "General Quasar!"
"Now I'll show you what real flames are like." Helios sneered as he opened his mouth wide a giant fireball gathering in his maw.
'Pyrus Viper Helios increase by 200 gs to 800 gs.'
Helios let out a roar before he shot the massive ball of fire at Fireblick.
"Viki!" Fireblick cried.
"I-I," Viki faltered as she searched through her cards. "There's-there's nothing I can do Blicky, I'm… sorry." She said lowering her eyes.
Fireblick's eyes widened as he looked back towards the massive ball of fire bearing down on him.
"Ah crap." The dragon muttered before the flames slammed into him. With a roar of pain the dragon reverted and flew back towards Viki dropping to the ground at her feet.
"And that's game." Spectra said grinning as Helios threw back his head and roared loudly.
"I am the ultimate bakugan! Bring on Hydranoid bring on this so called King of Bakugan, Masquerade! My flames will reduce them to ash! No one can face the wrath of Pyrus Helios!" Helios said with a laugh before he reverted and flew back to Spectra who smirked.
"Patience Helios." Spectra said softly to his partner as the field dissipated around them. "We will put Masquerade and his pitiful hydra in their place shortly enough." He assured his partner. "But for now we have other, more pleasurable matters to attend to." A broad grin crossed Spectra's face as he went over to the shellshocked Viki.
Helios chuckled lowly before he disappeared into Spectra's pocket.
"Oh don't look so shocked my dear." Spectra said to Viki lifting a hand and closing her gaping mouth. "I already told you your dear Fireblick didn't stand a chance against my all powerful Viperhelios." Then he raised his shoulders in a shrug. "But then again perhaps it was better that you learned through experience anyways."
"I-I can't believe it." Viki said blinking slowly finding it hard to wrap her mind around it. Around what exactly she wasn't so sure. She wasn't all that surprised that he beat her and Fireblick, but perhaps her mind still hadn't fully grasped the fact that Spectra was standing right in front of her, was touching her, and would be taking her on a date in sometime soon in the future. She nearly swooned at the thought and she found herself stumbling back. "Its-Ah!" She cried out in surprise as Spectra swept her off her feet and held her bridal style.
"My apologies my dear." Spectra practically purred as he looked down at Viki's flushed face. "But you looked awfully unsteady." He said as he tightened her grip on her. "Didn't want you to fall and hurt your pretty little head."
Viki swallowed thickly. Oh god, there was no way her brain could possibly begin to comprehend all the emotions shouting through her as she stared wide eyed into that mechanical eye. Her mouth opening and closing to no avail.
"Hmm, perhaps you need a moment to recover from the shock of such a quick defeat." Spectra said frowning slightly as he carried her back towards the couches. "Then we'll wait and see what your friends the brawlers wish to do, and then." He shot her a grin. "We'll be off on our date."
Viki swallowed as she looked up at him. She was so in over her head.

Jet and Jenny were standing in front of the room Masquerade was in, Jet swallowing uneasily as she eyed the door.
"So… Are we going to go in?" Jenny asked from Jet's side.
Jet glanced at her and then she nodded. "Yeah, we will." She said as she reached out and grasped the door handle. This would be the first time she'd see the masked blonde in a little while, or at least without Masquerade having some hold on her. Steeling herself she turned the handle and pushed the door open.
The two girls entered carefully, eyes darting towards the bed where one masked blond was reclining easily arms behind his head.
Masquerade turned to look at the two. "Ah just the two lovely ladies I was hoping to see." He said grinning.
Jenny stiffened. "What? But you, you're supposed to still be unconscious!" She said eyebrows furrowing.
"Yeah, that's what I thought too." A voice piped up from the window drawing Jet and Jenny's attention. Jet's eyes widened and she smiled brightly.
"Mike!" She cried rushing over to the brunette and throwing her arms around him.
Mike blinked for a moment taking a moment to register that his friend was hugging him before he returned it smiling slightly. "Hey Jet, we missed you back home."
Jet pulled back to study him. "But how'd you get here? How'd you even figure out we were here?" She asked raising an eyebrow and tilting her head.
Mike winced and rubbed the back of his head. "It's… a long and extremely weird story. I don't completely understand it all either even." He said with a weak chuckle.
"My guess is there's some sort of disturbance occurring near the borders of our dimensions, and after Jet and Viki passed through it enabled others when certain conditions are met to cross between them as well." Masquerade said folding his arms across his chest frowning slightly. "Also your buddy Aidan is likely coming soon."
Jet's head snapped to focus on him. "Masquerade," She said.
Masquerade grinned at her. "Yes my dear Jet?" He asked rising from his bed.
"You need to get out of here."
That made everyone pause. Jenny raised an eyebrow, Mike tilted his head and Masquerade seemed to stiffen. Then the masked brawler shook his head frowning slightly.
"Ah, well, nice to see you-"
"No," Jet said. "The brawlers are coming." She said.
Masquerade cocked his head. "Your point?"
"Do you really want to fight them all after you've had a nasty concussion and sustained some other injuries?" Jet asked moving towards the blond.
"Actually he probably does, he banged me up pretty good earlier." Mike called from off to the side rubbing his side where Masquerade had kicked him.
Jet's eyes narrowed. "Then why is he back in bed?" She asked looking from Mike to Masquerade.
Mike shrugged and looked to Masquerade who grit his teeth.
"I may have had… a bit of a headrush." Masquerade muttered lowly. "But its nothing I can't handle."
"Masquerade!" Jet grasped his hand in both of her own making the darkus brawler blink and look down at her hands clasping his own. "Please, you saved me and Julie, I don't want you to have escaped those nasty people to only get caught and unmasked by the brawlers!" She looked at him imploringly. "Please, allow me to repay you by helping you escape!"
Masquerade pulled his hand back and placed it on the bed his fingers curled slightly. "I don't need your help." He said flatly. "I can handle myself."
Jet deflated slightly. "But,"
"Although." Masquerade reached his other hand out and grabbed Jet's hand and yanked her towards him. Lifting his head so he could brush his lips against her cheek. "I do appreciate your concern, my dear Jet,"
Jet blushed beet red, Mike's eyes widened as his jaw dropped, and Jenny giggling awkwardly off to the side. Masquerade smirked as he released Jet and the girl took a few uncertain steps back.
"You-you're-"
"Now if you all would be so kind to get out?" Masquerade said, demeanor changing in an instant, jerking his head to the door. "I'd like to have some peace before Dan comes to try and rip my head off or something." The masked brawler said settling into the bed.
Jet nodded shakily. "Oh okay." Then she glanced at Jenny who looked confused and Mike who's head was lowered his bangs shadowing his face slightly. Jet forced a sheepish smile. "Well you heard him guys, we should leave him alone for now." Jet said nodding to the door.
Jenny blinked and nodded. "Well, if you insist…" She said heading out sparing an uncertain glance towards Masquerade. "Feel better Masquerade," She said uncertainly.
Masquerade did a mock salute with his left hand the action sloppy. "Will do."
Mike didn't spare a look at the masked brawler, instead he shoved his hands into the pocket of his hoodie and walked out.
Jet sighed and looked towards Masquerade. "Don't go and get yourself into more trouble okay?" She said smiling weakly as she walked out. "Take care…" She popped her head back in grinning devilishly. "Masky."
Masquerade scowled at the pet name as Jet burst out laughing before she walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
With all three of them gone Masquerade heaved a sigh of relief. Hydranoid floated up by his head.
"Master why did you send Jet away? She intended to help you!" The bakugan said. "Now we will be faced with the brawlers, and… Master?" Hydranoid trailed off as Masquerade grinned.
"Oh Jet helped me all right." He lifted the hand Jet had grabbed earlier and revealed the black card he'd been pressing against his palm and wrist. "She gave me the key to escape unnoticeably." Masquerade said smirking
"Ah…" Hydranoid said gazing at the DT before looking back at Masquerade. "I see why you like her."
"Shut up Hydranoid."

One other thing, I'm consider writing a new story that will feature the 6 main OC's from here along with the main battle brawlers.
It'll be a horror story and draw a lot from RPG maker games like Witch's House, Mad Father, Ib, Crooked Man, Corpse Party, and a few other horror related stuff. So tell me what you guys think on me writing something like that in your reviews.
