A/N Wait what two chapters in one day? I'm nuts. Like really nuts.

And tired too. So yeah here's chapter 59. Breezy still has to send me her disclaimer and Antex wants to save his disclaimer for when pierce comes in so…

Too tired to come up with anything I don't own bakugan kay?

Chapter 59

Aidan sighed once he reached the foot of the Sears Tower. It had taken him almost an hour to get from his home to the skyscraper. Though that was including a few minutes he had taken to make a quick stop to Dunkin Donuts to get something to eat. Although his mind warred against him for allowing himself to eat something so fattening and unhealthy, he decided heck with it. Considering the craziness that was ensuing all around him he was willing to allow himself one treat before he plunging headlong into madness with the others.

So he had bought a Boston Crème donut and now the only thing that remained of the sweet breakfast treat were a few crumbs around his mouth; which he disposed of with a few swipes of his napkin.

Craning his neck up Aidan strained to see the top of the Sears. His eyebrows furrowed as he found that the top of the skyscraper was obscured by low hanging thick clouds.

"Odd." Aidan murmured before he shrugged and headed into the building.

The automatic doors slid open in front of him and that was when the sense of wrongness hit him like a train.

Aidan's eyes widened as he took a few shaky steps inside the darkened tower hand gripping the strap of his messenger bag tightly. He swallowed thickly as he glanced around uncertainly, flinching when he heard the automatic doors swish shut behind him.

Aidan had visited the Sears Tower several times before and though he'd been a bit tense at the aspect of ascending over 100 stories, the atmosphere had been calm and secure enough that he'd been able to relax some.

Now with all the lights out, soft groans emanating from around the room, and limp shapes lying on the floor Aidan could feel his heart hammer against his chest. He began to edge back.

"Yo-you know what…" The boy murmured raising his hands up closer to his front. "I-I think I'll come back another day…" His back hit something solid and his heart leapt to his throat as he jumped. Whirling around he found himself against the door he'd entered.

"Oh no." Aidan reached a hand up and waved it wildly at the motion sensor. When he got no response he grabbed at the spot where the doors met and tried to wedge his fingers in between the doors and pry them out. "No no no no!" He drew back head wildly examining the door. "Open!" Aidan cried as he pounded his fists against the door. Spotting people walking past the building outside Aidan resumed his pounding. "Hey! Help! I'm trapped HELP!" He shouted pounding hard against the glass doors. Tears pricking his eyes he drew back and threw himself against the glass wincing in pain as his body impacted the door. "HELP! I'M TRAPPED!" Aidan shouted. "Let me out!"

A part of Aidan was trying to get control and urge him to calm down but the part of Aidan that was panicking at being trapped in the dark tower with people lying all around (possibly dead), was in control and it wasn't letting go.

Aidan threw himself against the door several more times until he grew too tired. Dropping to the floor to rest he peered out at the outside world.

"Why aren't you helping me?! Why won't you look here! Can't you-"

"You're out of sync with this dimension, Aidan." Aidan froze up at the sound of the female voice. Slowly the blond boy looked towards the source of the voice. In the center of the room a figure stood wearing a green cloak, the hood drawn over her head concealing the face.

Despite them being inside a building her cloak billowed and flowed about her revealing the black dress she wore and the tall black boots on her feet.

"What the hell do you mean?!" Aidan gasped out as he pressed himself against the door slowly pushing himself to his feet. "Well then how do I get back in sync." He demanded clenching his fists.

"You've already passed the point of no return my dear friend," the cloaked figure informed him before turning away. "The only way to go is to proceed forwards." She glanced back at Aidan and smirked slightly. "To the top of the tower."

As she spoke those words lights began to flicker back on overhead, bathing a small line of the room in light while the rest seemed to darken further.

"The path is lit, I will be waiting for you." The cloaked figure said before she transformed into a puff of green smoke that flowed upwards and passed through the cracks in the ceiling and disappeared from sight.

For a moment Aidan just stood there before he sniffed, pulled off his glasses and wiped his eyes. "Creepy." He muttered before he replaced his glasses.

He glanced back behind him only to find that the door had been replaced by a black wall. Swallowing Aidan adjusted his messenger bag before he headed down the lit path.

"Its okay Aidan," Aidan murmured to himself as he made his way through the room taking care to follow the path. He really didn't want to know what might happen if he set one foot off the path. "Its probably just some nightmare… Yeah that's it…" He said laughing weakly as he halted before a gold elevator the button next to it was lit with a green color.

Aidan sighed yanking off his mittens and shoved them into his pocket, steeling himself for the long wait for the elevator to arrive.

He didn't have to wait long as there was a ding and the golden doors slid open to reveal an elevator that was painted a lime green with gold tiles and gold railings.

Aidan hesitated peering into the elevator checking for any dangers and glancing back towards the room then back to the elevator.

Then the lights in the room began to flicker making Aidan's heart jump into the back of his throat.

"Okay, getting out of here!" Aidan said rushing inside and smacking his hands against the buttons the elevator doors sliding closed just as the room he'd left fell into pitch blackness.

Aidan went to the back of the elevator and slumped against the railing as the elevator began to ascend upwards slowly but surely gathering speed as it did.

Aidan yanked off his hat and ran a hand through his hair frowning when he felt how sweaty he was.

"Dear god this can't be good for my health." Aidan muttered.

"you look flushed…" The female's voice filtered through the elevator cabin making Aidan jump out of his skin.

"Jeez!" Aidan gasped clutching at his chest. "You're going to give me a heart attack at this rate!" Aidan said glaring up at the ceiling. Before he let out a breath and reached a hand up to cover his face, he began to slide down the wall one hand still gripping the railing. Once he was on the floor he took shaky breaths.

"I was just saying those heavy clothes must have you boiling…" The female voice purred. "You're sweating and your so flushed."

"Gee I wonder why." Aidan muttered not moving his arm from where it covered his face.

"Take off the coat Aidan, you won't need it where you're going." The voice urged.

Aidan shot a glare at the ceiling. "You leave me alone and maybe I'll consider it!"

"Sorry but I need to ensure you make it over, you're too important to leave in this dimension." The voice said.

Aidan clenched his fists. "Well what if I don't want to come to your dimension!" Aidan said shakily rising to his feet. "What if I say SCREW YOUR DIMENSION!" He snarled.

In answer to his statement the elevator halted violently disrupting the boys balance. Hurled upwards by the sudden stop Aidan had no chance to stop himself from crashing harshly to the floor. His head crashed against the floor and his glasses fell from his face hitting the ground somewhere nearby.

"Ngh…" Aidan moaned the impact leaving him dizzy and sore.

He reached a hand out for his glasses grasping and fumbling for them. He heard the elevator doors open with a swoosh but he ignored it as he continued to search for his glasses.

"Here, you're useless to us blind." Aidan lifted his head his blurry vision managing to recognize the blurry gold things held before his face as his glasses.

Narrowing his eyes Aidan snatched them from the girls hand and slipped them on. Only for his eyes to widen.

The cloaked person was standing directly in front of him her hood unable to conceal her face from him as he looked up under it and directly at her face.

"A-Alica?" Aidan stuttered out. "Wha-What how?"

Alica's eyebrows narrowed. "We don't have time for this." She said as she threw off her hood and grabbed Aidan's arm and dragged him out of the elevator heading towards a door that lay in the center of the room filled with windows revealing nothing but the dark insides of clouds around them. Aidan could see brief flashes of small lightning bolts flickering through the clouds.

"Wait, Alica! What's going on?" Aidan said tugging against her hand the girl ignored him as she continued to drag him towards the door that had a big sign on it.

Aidan strained to read it when Alica suddenly swept him off his feet making him yelp as he hit the ground. Though his glasses were knocked askew by her kick they remained on his face this time.

'Thank the heavens for small blessings.' Aidan thought as he readjusted his glasses and peered up at Alica who was punching in numbers on a keypad for the door they now stood before.

The door that was marked 'Roof Access'

Aidan's heart stopped. The roof. The roof of the Sears Tower. 114 stories above the city.

"Alica what are you doing?!" Aidan shouted pushing himself to his feet, and was rewarded with a kick to his side for his trouble.

"Quiet." Alica said as she finished punching in the last digit and the door swung open and Aidan could hear the snarling and hissing of the wind rushing around the tower outside. Alica pushed the door open fully and then grasped the collar of Aidan's shirt. "Move." She said shoving him into the ladder that the door opened to.

"Alica I'm not jumping off the Sear freaking Tower!" Aidan shouted whirling around to face her balling his fists. "I can't afford to die I need to save Jet and Mike!" He glared at her as a crack of lightning erupted from nearby illuminating the top part of his face.

"Don't care." Alica said flatly before she grabbed him by the collar. "I have a mission to carry out."

Aidan snarled as he lashed out swinging his fists and legs at her. But Alica didn't even bat an eye at his feeble attacks. Instead she bent her knees and lowered her arm slightly. Aidan blinking slightly confused. Then Alica snapped her arm upwards pushing up with her legs hurling Aidan upwards.

"AHHH!" Aidan screamed (a not very manly scream) in horror as he was sent flying onto the top of the skyscraper. But his screaming and flight were cut short when he smacked into one of the antennae on top of the sears tower.

Groaning Aidan slid onto his butt his body leaning heavily against the antennae. The haos brawler grunted as he shook his head and began to slowly rise to his feet one hand on the antennae for support.

A loud thud nearby alerted him that Alica had joined him on the roof. Keeping his back turned to her Aidan glanced around them.

The ground was thankfully obscured by the thick black clouds that surrounded the top of the Sears Tower.

Wait. Surrounded?

Aidan craned his neck upwards and gaped. Sure enough the clouds seemed to form a funnel all around them, like the eye of the hurricane.

And Aidan could vaguely see what looked like a mirror image of Earth floating above their heads.

"The Bakugan Dimension." Alica said raising a hand. "For so long it had been just out of my reach. But now with your help I will reach it at last."

Aidan blinked. "What? What do I have to do with you getting there! Why can't you just go there on your own?!" He demanded. "Why drag me into this!"

"Look up." Alica said gesturing up to the tops of antennae. Aidan followed where she was pointing and saw that both ends were glowing bright green and yellow. "The Sears is the perfect make shift Dimensional Transport. At least for you and me."

"I don't understand." Aidan said shaking his head pressing himself against the antennae that was glowing gold. "We-"

"Ventus and Haos they work together in tandem, so in order to power the Sears to be a DT I'd need the Haos element of our little group." Alica said simply her cloak billowing about as the winds began to pick up lightning flashing around them.

"You could've just asked me to help you!" Aidan snapped "I wanted to get there too! Jet, Mike and Viki are in trouble."

Alica sighed as she shook her head, she made a tsking sound as she moved around Aidan. "And here I thought you were smart Aidan. What part of any of this makes you think, that I'm up to anything good?" She asked tilting her chin.

Aidan blinked. "Alica…"

Alica chuckled as lightning crackled closer and closer to them. "See we tip the scales in the Bakugan world, whoever has the best of us, well they've got the scales tipped in their favor." She said as she cupped Aidan's chin making the boy stiffen. "You've caught the eyes of some powerful entities in the bakugan world my friend. You should feel honored."

"Naga," Aidan said breathlessly. "He wants us to be the new 'doom brawlers' against our friends." He said eyes widening.

"Exactly." Alica said as she patted his cheek before stepping back. "I knew your oh so brilliant brain was hiding in there somewhere under that quivering exterior." The wind began to howl louder as lightning shot all around so often the top of the tower was constantly illuminated. Alica tilted her head back and grinned. "We're so close now."

Aidan's eyes darted upwards and then back to Alica. It was clear that something had happened to the once sweet and friendly girl he and the others had called friend. Worse, she intended to make him just like that. Cruel, unfeeling, sole purpose to carry out Naga's wishes no matter the cost.

A fate worse than death.

Aidan glanced towards the edge and then back towards Alica. Then he thought of the toy he'd packed in his bag. A memento of the good times, a promise they'd have them again.

'Well I guess not… It'll have to be a promise that I won't hurt them…' Keeping his eyes on Alica, Aidan began to edge away from the antennae and move towards the edge of the tower, he winced as the wind tore at his jacket and sent his bag smacking into his side. But he gritted his teeth and felt his way towards the edge.

"YES!" Alica cried as electricity began to fly to the center of the funnel. "We'll be going soon-Aidan!" She screeched seeing him on the edge.

"Sorry Alica… But serving Naga? Not happening." Aidan said as he spread his arms out and shut his eyes and fell backwards.

It was almost like someone had hit pause, Aidan was still partially on the edge Alica extending her arm towards him eyes wide in shock and horror. Then the wind was whistling by his ears and Aidan was falling.

"NO!" Alica shouted rushing towards the edge and leaping after him. She pulled her arms in close and dove after him quickly beginning to catch up. "I will not let you escape!" She shouted.

"I won't let you turn me against my friends!" Aidan shouted back. "I will be no ones puppet!" He roared.

Thunder boomed around him and lightning continued to flash as they continued to fall through the clouds.

Alica blinked seeming to hesitate for a moment before she smirked. "You don't get a choice."

Aidan blinked and glanced over his shoulder his eyes widening. The lightning that was crackling all around was meeting and spreading slowly out in a circle forming a shimmering portal below the two falling blonds.

"No!" Aidan said clawing and kicking at air. He grunted as Alica rammed into him and wrapped her arms around his torso.

"Sorry Aidan but it's too late to cash out now." Alica informed him as they passed the flickering lightning bolts that danced around.

"NO!" Aidan shouted as he clawed at her shoulders and kicked at her. "Let me go! Let go!" He glanced back as the light of the portal began to grow brighter and brighter and a blurry image of the inside of Masquerade's mansion began to come into focus. "NO!" Aidan shouted as he shut his eyes as he felt something sizzle against his skin and a loud shattering noise that left his ears ringing.

Then Aidan's senses went out and the boy fell to a crimson carpeted floor unconscious.

A/N

Okay yes that one sucked. Sorry I was tired.

That's the first time I followed one character for a whole chapter in a long while. Unfortunately Aidan's not one of my strongest characters so if this sucked, sorry.

We'll get to more fun stuff with Spectra and stuff next chapter.

So please review and I'll try to get that up tomorrow.
